Really annoyed by how things were run when I was there. Placed a mobile order and came when the designated time was listed. Got there and was told it wasn't ready and waited for my name to be called. After seeing multiple people order after I arrived AND get their food HALF AN HOUR HAD PASSED. I went to ask and my food was ready all along chilling on the side. And staff seemed unapologetic and didn't care. Granted it was a little busy but by the time I got it, everything was cold... so I wasted 30 minutes sitting around to eat cold food with a bad attitude because of miscommunication on staffs end... Friend and I visited for the first time, they had good amount of seating for eating inside. We both got the Cajun burger and cheese fries with bacon as well as a cookie butter milkshake. I had the steakhouse burger, cheese curds, and the red velvet cupcake milkshake. The burger is cooked on a griddle there and it has a double patty, but isn't too hefty or overwhelming. Although, it was a little greasy and the bread wasn't that thick, so it wasn't my favorite part of the meal.The cheese curds were really good and fried really well. I also tried the tater tots and onion rings from my family, which were also fried really well, but I definitely liked the cheese curds best. The milkshake was really sweet, but tasted delicious. It was one of their specialty milkshakes and is made with crushed cupcakes, so it definitely tasted like real red velvet. The service was great. They were very friendly and we had a lot to our order, but it was made pretty quickly. The place is nice and clean, has a good atmosphere like other chain restaurants, while not feeling too corporate. Overall, I liked the place, so I wouldn't mind coming here again. The past several visits to this location (Pre and During COVID), Ive been completely disappointed with the accuracy of food order. 2nd to last time, each burger came out wrong and one had to be returned twice before it was made right. This last time, burgers prepared correctly however both shakes came with whipped cream after ordering without and also further confirming such again with person taking the order. When I pointed out the error once the shakes were given, they apologized, scooped the whipped cream off the top and left each milkshake 1/2 full in the cup. This was my first time at Wayback Burgers. Customer service was not good. No one even greeted us or made eye contact for a few minutes while we're standing at the counter. Didn't take cash...card only. After someone finally did take our order, they couldn't print a receipt because the printer wasn't working. (And they couldn't take cash). While we waited close to 15 minutes for the order, the guy mopping left the mop on tipped over on the floor while I stepped over it to use the restroom. I absolutely LOVE this place! These burgers taste like they were made at home. Meaning they don't tastes rubbery and overly pressed like the frozen ones. Very juicy and the fries are pretty good. Service is super friendly, I had never been in there before and I wasn't sure what I should order. So I asked the order taker for a recommendation, and was very happy with he meal combo he suggested. We have been here before and the burgers have been decent for this type of place. Tonight it was absolutely terrible. The burgers we received we so over cooked they were actually just grizzle and the fries were cold. The staff seemed overwhelmed and busy. I could hear them swearing that they were busy even the F bomb. When I returned my food the guy told me rudely "sorry I didn't have time to clean the grill". Like it was my problem. This was our first time at this chain and we were pretty excited to try a new burger place. However, after the long wait, we got extremely average burgers and fries. Not a lot of flavor in either. It wasn't bad or gross, just very plain. You could get a burger like this at a diner. Just go to five guys or shake shack instead. However, I will say the shakes are pretty good here. I ordered from there to try something new since my daughters in the nicu and that's a nearby restaurant where I don't have to drive far. the rodeo burger I ordered barely had sauce or cheese and the meat was incredibly dry like it was cooked and reheated the next day. I also ordered the onion rings and fries combo with sauce. there was no sauce and the fries and onion rings were cold. if I wasn't trying to spend as much time in the hospital with my daughter I would have gone back to be compensated as I didn't finish my burger or eat the fries or onion rings since there was no sauce and cold. So three years after being asked by the delusional ownership not to return for reasons that my prior reviews explain I figured since we were in the area, "Why Not?" Without a huge play by play I'll cut it down to three main points: 1. The store was steady but not busy yet there were a lack of clean tables. Most open tables had some type of wetness, food remnant or something left behind still on them. 2. Several of the house chips on two of the orders came out soft, wet and soggy. I'm not sure how that's possible when placed in a basket with a grilled cheese that does not have anything inherently moist in/on/or around it but none the less several of the chips were like that and obviously that's inedibly gross. 3. The two milkshakes that were ordered came out way after the food hit the table. Not a huge issue but the expectation is usually if things are ordered together then things should be delivered more or less together. Not here's your food and then when you're half way done here comes the drink. With that said, the main event here would be the burgers and the two that were ordered were perfectly fine. No fries were ordered but maybe they should have been considering the uneven or possibly(?) underdone texture of the chips. The burgers at Jake's are still better in my mind than what gets served at lets say Five Guys simply because they come out far neater, cleaner and less greasier. Now with that said there are places in the LV which make a better burger (Burger Shack in Whitehall for starters) but speaking strictly about the burger here you could do much worse going to any number of places versus eating here. read more

Love Jake's! I've been to Jake's many times, too many if you ask my wife. It's to the point where if I ask where do you want to eat, she responds "not Jake's!" as I go there that much. Anyway, Jake's is one of these new "upper scale" burger joints that keep popping up. They have the usual assortment of burgers, hot dogs, and shakes. Jake's uses nothing but fresh meat with no pink slime in it. They are similiar to Smashburger (if you are familiar) in that they take the patty and then smash it onto the grill, and then let it cook. What you end up getting is one tasty burger. The standard jake is two patties on a bun, with your choice of toppings. Jake's fries are excellent as well, often cooked with the right amount of "crisp" to them. Shakes are delicious and fresh, and not that chemical fast food type. All the food is brought to your table after your order. The restaurant itself is consistently clean and the staff is very friendly. I only had one instance where my order was wrong, and they screwed it up not once, but twice. I wanted a plain hamburger with bacon-no cheese, no vegetation, no condiments-just meat on a bun! The first time it comes out with cheese. I tell the kid that I ordered a plain Jake with bacon, nothing else. He kind of looked at me as if it was my fault, but took it back. The second time it comes out with bacon, mustard and ketchup. I just kind of laughed and said its still wrong. The next time the assistant manager brought it out and it was fine. It was a minor inconvenience, but certainly wouldn't keep me away, and really was nothing to be angry about, or anything to take stars off. For the amount of times I have been there, one mistake is expected. The only reason Jake's does not get five stars from me at this point is their new bun. See, they used to have a nice bun they used that was solid and tasty. It was the perfect mate for the patties. Their new bun has a split top, and has the same texture and taste of a potato roll. They claim it is not a potato roll on their Facebook page, which is fine, but the new bun is nowhere near as good as the old bun. It turns a great burger into a not as great burger. read more

I wish I could give a zero. Reluctant to stop in and get just a cheeseburger and order of chicken fingers, because the wait is always extraordinarily long even if no one or very few people are there. So today we decided to order through the app, exactly those 2 simple items. Ordered at 12:29 and paid the extra 2.00 for the 15 minute pickup. At around 15 minutes we were there waiting and waited 45 minutes while we watched them walk circles around each other in the cooking area, clearly the younger 2 had no clue what to do. I went up to the counter and told the older gentlemen we have been waiting for 45 minutes for 2 simple items, he was very apologetic. So we waited another 15 minutes, now it's 1 hour (1:32) for a burger and chicken fingers. I went up to the counter again, and again apologetic and ordered the kids to make ours next, LOL, after an hour!!! The young one was now opening bags he already started and and opening the wrapped burgers to see what he put in each bag. Many tables with no food, waiting as long as us. It doesn't even take an hour to be served at a fine dining restaurant. There was a gal who came in after us and I could sense her frustration, she said she only ordered a hot dog and tater tots and has been waiting 25 minutes. Ordered my food online and ordered for curbside pickup. Got there a little early so I called to let them know, they said it would be about 10 minutes, I said no problem, and they asked me to turn on my 4 ways. My boyfriend and I sat in the car with the four ways on for more than 20 minutes before deciding to go inside to see what was going on. Our food was sitting on a table and the employees were all on the back talking and messing around. My boyfriend came back out with the food and they didn't give us the drinks, so I went back in. They were sweet to me getting the drinks. We then left, but by the time we got home after all of the waiting (where they should have brought the food out) and the drive home, our food was cold and honestly kind of soggy. My chicken tenders skin practically all fell off and my onion rings weren't crispy, they were limp. My boyfriend enjoyed his burger. The food was decent. But overall, I don't think we'll ever return after today. We saw several people walk in and out with their food. Manager would not honor coupon for a free classic burger because I ordered and paid for a more expensive burger. Counter person was trying to be helpful but sour pussed Manager wouldn't do anything. After completing transaction I realized that I had another coupon for a kids meal with what we had purchased that I could use instead. I asked about getting free kids meal instead of the reduced price on our order. Again Manager would not comply saying it was too late we had already been rung out. The only reason this review gets a 2* review is because the customer service is good even though they are short staffed, unfortunately for me my order was to go. I ordered what was supposed to be a burger, but (pardon my French) what I received was a fucking disgrace even for fast food. Burger was super overcooked and was comparable to chewing on warm wet cardboard, lettuce was browning and overly stringy, I also ordered tomatoes on the burger and I received a 1/4inch thick slice of tomato from the top of the tomato with most of it being a green/white core, the bacon wasn't bad, for the bun it could've been slightly better, but it's whatever because everything else was bad enough to where I'm never eating here again.
