I don't really have a full review of this dealership, because I haven't purchased anything from them. A relative did and she was happy with her experience. I think it is just a giant used car lot, not a dealership, but what I hate is it's one of those dealerships that doesn't put the price of the car on the window so you're forced to walk in and deal with some douche bag that won't know the prices either and will take 20 minutes to look it up even if you're just looking at something to see if you may be interested. I know it's a sales pitch process, but if you're embarrassed about your prices so much that you can't put them in the window, then probably not a dealership I wanna shop with. read more

After taking my truck in for service i realize how much of a crook this dealership is! My truck is still under warranty m. So let's start with that!!!! I took the truck in for a problem that i knew was simple to fix but they told me that they needed to put the truck on the computer for diagnostics. That was over $200 each time; After doing that 4 times and being left with a bill over $1000. To find out it was something that needed to be unplugged and reset! Ever time i come here i have always been up-charged or charged for things that were totally unnecessary. I spoke with the service manager David Benjamin and he did absolutely nothing to fix my concerns. I guess since there's no cars to sell these days they must rob the customers at the service counter to. make up for the lacking revenue! Totally unacceptable. Be very cautious if you take your vehicle here for service. Condescending service manager. Over tightening of lugnuts resulted in damage to all 4 wheels and nuts. Would not admit to their mistake. On another visit, they strapped a loose guard under neath car but failed to inform us of same. It worked loose on 95 and caused us to pull over immediately. They fixed this and did admit that they should have informed us they did this to our car. What a shame. We were looking forward to finding a dealership that we could trust, when we moved here recently. We will keep searching. Avoid this place if at all possible read more

Went in to buy a vehicle from them, Guy is the salesman a very nice guy who really helped me out after being in there for a few hours, picked out a car told them I'd be back in the morning to straighten out w insurance and ect... I spoke to him the next morning saying that I was ready to go and pick it up,I already put insurance on it. And I get a call back saying don't leave yet, someone is test driving the car ??? What? Why didn't they say someone is coming to pick it up? I called them an hour later to find out what was going on, they sold it! I attempted to come and look at a used transit service vehicle for my company. Their used truck side appears to be named 1000 under and I don't even know what that means or whether it is ford or not. Entering through the side street ford entrance ran afoul as it was cleverly blocked off with unsellable vehicles to prevent any travel on the side street to the front lot. Clearly they don't want anyone going from the back to the front especially customers. A couple loops around and back out on the street. When I came around front, I was captured at the parking lot entrance by a valet who wanted to know my business with the company in order to force me to use a valet service. Maybe it was blocked by the valet service? None of his, I should say. I declined and left the facility. First impressions are important and this is a poor one. Any car dealer knows you make it easy and clean to get to a salesman. Putting the customer through hoops is pretty annoying, but seems typical with these guys ever since Wayne passed. I bought a lot of cars and trucks here, but not in the past 10 years for these very reasons. read more

So I purchased a Ford Edge SEL at this location. I also purchased an aftermarket warranty which covers oil changes etc. When I arrived for an oil change, I noticed that they tried to bill me for it. So they showed me my paperwork and it was my car info as well as my plate number. The only problem is that It stated a completely different persons name , address, etc. YOVONNE FELIX was an absolute pleasure to work with during this process. He single handedly corrected all of my information, assured me that it will be fixed and even noticed that my service plan for some reason was under my Wife's name who has nothing to do with my vehicle. He did not give up until the issue was corrected and he has a passion for what he does. Because of YOVONNE FELIX I will recommend this place. Came in for a new key to be programmed and it took 3 times as long as they said it would. I had an appointment for 9am and they said it should take a maximum of 1 hour. It's currently 12:30pm and I'm still here. Over 3 hours to program a key? No. Wasted my whole morning waiting for something that could be done in a few minutes. Definitely don't recommend. I expressed interest in an Explorer (I found online) they had in stock, we discussed via email and phone and made an appointment to take it for a test-drive. Keep in mind, we are a 40 mile round trip to this dealership, so this time around we wanted to better plan to avoid any problems. I called a couple hours before our schedule time to "CONFIRM" the car is available and explained we have less than 30 minutes (lunch break). I even asked if the car could be ready to go out front because of our time restraint; and was told it's already out front for us. Everything sounds good. I guess dealers say whatever is necessary to get us in the door because the car was not out front. We met the salesman and he brings us to the car in the lot. From the outside it looks sharp; very pleased. Unfortunately the salesman opened all the doors and we realize this is not the car; it's a demo vehicle that someone from the dealership is using. The vehicle was loaded with chlorine containers, baby seat, stroller, junk mail and papers everywhere, photos blocking the instrument panel, trash and so much more. Apparently, they already sold our car; meaning our confirmation call meant nothing. Why make me drive 40 miles and not mention the car is not there? As I told the dealer afterwards (regarding the car's appearance): I was surprised our salesman was able to keep a straight face and wasn't embarrassed himself. I also shared a friendly suggestion... "if you're going to show "demonstrator" vehicles to potential buyers, then instruct the user of the car to keep it presentable". The Ford Explorer was in consideration for our purchase but after our experience with this "demo" model, we were not only turned off of this dealership but made us wary of Ford dealers (2 different dealerships and both went astray). read more

Took my car for insurance cosmetic repair after a minor accident to the rear with ( other driver at fault since my car was parked when a drunk driver hit it) it was not painted correctly by bodyshop. vehicle was left with a line and the paint color being uneven. it was not noticeable from a distance but if everytime I walked around my vehicle I could noticed it, it bothered me so I took it back. Bodyshop tried to buff it out but said that it would need to be repainted. an appointment was scheduled and a loaner was given to me, supposedly they charge a $5 minimum for tolls although I was not going through no tolls regardless mandatory it needed to be paid to them with a credit card. I Received vehicle with half a tank of gas and since I did not drive anywhere but home car sat at my driveway so before I returned it I put $5 of gas and made sure it was at half tank mark (which was a bit above after fueling and returned. Came to find out several days later I was charge $27.10 to my Amex card for fuel by wayne Akers ford. contacted service manager to fix that I told her that I was disputing the charge entirely with my credit card if not fix as I have picture of gas thank being half when given to me I told her that I did not live far from dealers and to check the mileage. No response. this dealership has little to no communication with its clients. Is like they are so busy that everyone is just another number that they don't care. If they tell you that a manager or someone will call you do not expect a call because it will never happen, hence in other words they just want to get rid of you. On another note once I got my car back from body shop noticed a tiny mark on paint which appear to be a tiny pebble or lint material from bodyshop, was buffed out as it was stuck on the clear and not the paint itself then noticed what appeared and was determined by the paint professional to be a fish eye on the paint on the lower end of the bumper when it had been painted. At this point I began to be frustrated, thinking about the time waisted, time taken off from work, the guy telling me that is not gonna be perfect and what not ( I was thinking if I did not want to be close to perfection then I would of course just taken it to a regular mom and pop shop and cut corners if I didn't care what the finished product would look like). Anyhow this is on a Thursday and he tells me that Friday the manager will reach out to me. Monday comes around and I hear nothing back. At this time I will reach out to insurance and let them handle it since they said it was life time warranty on the paint as long as I own the car. I rated one star because system doesn't allow to give them 0 stars. But overall experience at this dealership was awful. No one should have to be inconvenienced like this note vehicle I bought directly from ford brand new and service just absolutely sucks. I do not recommend this dealer aside from an oil change maybe. From start to finish- zero communication. I wasn't told they would need my car for multiple days when I made the appt. Service advisor told me I would be called by end of drop off day with updates. I had to call and was told they were working on it but would not do much until the next business day. (I dropped off on Friday). We immediately went to get the car because we were not happy- where the service advisor ADMITTED there was no charge because they had actually never touched the car. Customer parking is very inadequate. They block off almost all the lot with plastic chains to prevent customers from parking their own cars. They want you to use and tip their valets. Their parts inventory is inadequate. They will order the parts you ask for but you have to come back on another day to pick them up. They will not drop-ship your parts even though you have prepaid for them. They employ a number of attractive young women as receptionists to direct you to the cashier, their parts desk, the rest rooms, the showroom and other facilities. You could easily find these without their guide-girls. read more

Absolutely the worst!! My mom bought a car in November 29k preowned certified. Only 7k miles transmission is broken. When light went on called dealer no call back .....so drove it right there per instructions on manual. David sales manager is extremely rude!! The poorest customer service I've experienced. Asked us to leave car and would give us eta and next steps. Had to wait all day (supposed to be on vacation) they shuttled us back... to find out next steps. They called it corporate protocol? At 3:15 they diagnosed it was transmission yet was waiting to figure out from corporate how to fix it? Again "corporate protocols " a bit scary that a service manager said that but ok. He continuously spoke over me and said he did me a favor by bumping us up and looking at it same day? Are you kidding the manual said have towed or bring to dealer immediately. The car will take two weeks to fix so they finally agreed to get a rental car. In the meantime my mom called and spoke to Lenny head of service and told him no one would be here in 2 weeks to pick up. Response was you'll have to figure it out. He finally agreed to drop off at her vacation residence. When I asked who owned the dealership I was told it was a corporate dealership.... It's a shame but this is why I'll never buy a Ford. I've encouraged her to send it back how can you need a transmission for a 2020 with 7k. The rudeness of the sales manager David alone would deter me from ever buying a Ford within itself! read more

It is abhorrent that I've been to this dealership four times in 40,000 miles and my car still has the same issue. My Ford Focus falls under the cars recalled for transmission issues, and instead of fully fixing the problem, they just put a bandaid on it each time. My car completely slips out of gear as I'm driving down 95 on a consistent basis, it shakes so much when I accelerate that it feels like it is going to stall. I have the genuine fear that I could be killed in this car and they refuse to help me. I'm back in today after yet again having the clutch replaced in February. They are refusing me a loaner. I have NEVER been treated so disgusting in my life! Thank you Michael Corey Sales manager at Wayne Akers Ford. "Fist Bump King"...Repugnant Man You know how they always send you fliers "Hey come in we want to buy your truck back". Well they call now. We are previous customers in their defense. My husband curious says lets go see what they say. It cant hurt and who knows maybe we can upgrade a little. Well my husband finds a King Ranch on the lot. There wasn't must else. We knew this was out of or range, is was a nice truck. My husband says fine lets run numbers to "see" what can be done. Our salesman was JP (who by the way I felt badly for, he was so nice and professional) I would buy a truck from JP. Michael Corey comes out after a little while and says...."Now come on you want me to work a miracle honestly, even I'm not that good." He acted as though we asked him to part the Red Sea. The look on JP's face was shock. The reason Michael said that was my husband told Michael he didn't want to put any money down. He didn't have to speak to us like that. I said to him " I have never been spoken to by a salesmen like this in my life!" There were a million different ways to speak to a repeat customer whether they can buy a truck today or in the future. Where has customer service gone? When he noticed we were shocked by what he said he could have done so many different things....instead he smirked....My husband said "lets go." Michael Sticks his fist out to fist bump my husband. I think he was in shock, so he obliges the fist bump and then Michael puts his fist in my personal space to "fist bump" me....I looked at him and was still in shock and told him I had never been spoken to by a salesmen especially a manager, like this. My review is for the collision department. Over a year ago my car was in an accident and this was one of the Geico approved repair centers. The manager that was there at the time was the devil. I recently had to bring my car back to have some things checked out and to my surprise there was a new manager, Chuck. I can't express what a difference it was working with him versus the old manager. Chuck is honest, sincere, and genuine. I can tell he has turned this collision center around for the best. As long as he's there you will always leave happy. read more

So an update: After filing a complaint with Ford, a regional Manger with Ford called me. She sent this issue down to Wayne Akers. I got call from Wayne Akers telling me to bring my car in so they can refurbish my rims. I told them NO and told them I filed a complaint with Ford. 2 days later I get a call saying they have my rims, brand new, bring my car in. I take my car in at 7:30am, I am told 2 hours out the door. At 1.5 hours I ask how long, I am told car is going in to be worked on in 15 min, they need another hour. An hour and a half later, I ask what the status is. They tell me my car is going in now, another 2 hours. So again it has taken this poor service department 13+ hours to take the wheels off, put tires on the rims and put the tires back on the car...twice. If you are looking to buy a cat at a dealership who provides extremely bad maintenance and customer service, Wayne Akers Ford is your place. If you are looking to get reasonable and good service, and you want a Ford, go elsewhere. Wayne Akers has the worst service I have ever seen! read more

I asked a service writer to have leadership call me to share my disappointment. He asked me, who would you like to call ? I said somebody who cares about your business and customer service. Nobody called. When I went to pick up my car, I told the same service manager nobody called. He said ..... hmmm... days later, still no call. I would not recommend anybody going to their service department, unless you want to treated like a number and not a human. Update. Manager called me to hear me out. Never ever will I return to this dealership to purchase a vehicle. The customer service was the worst. The sales force to upper management was extremely incompetent and ill trained. I had to return several times to get the paperwork completed as they could not get their printer to work (buy a new one ! ). It has been several weeks and I still have not received my license plate and registration I paid for. In addition Ford Motor Company forwarded an incentive check on my behalf to the dealership and they have avoided forwarding the check to me, the customer. Worse than Poor rating is what I give them. I had used them for 2 of my Ford Flexs for the past 3 years. No more. I brought 1 in for AC not working & engine coolant leak. The following day at noon I get a call from Daniel Abrams that it will cost $199+tax for the diagnosis, I approved. I could not believe that the appointment was scheduled for 8am & they are only now 4 hours latter calling and telling me about this diagnosis process that should have been set up at the start. The next day I call to get an update when car will be ready. I got a real run around with their phone system, which is an upgrade from last yr when they never answered the phones at all, Once I had to drive there to speak with my service advisor, Jim who was Great but no longer is working there. I talk to a different employee Daniella and she will call me back w/ the info. She left me a message to call her back without her leaving any real info on my car & I found out she left work for the day 1 hour after we spoke. I made 26 calls to Akers from 9-2 o'clock. I then drove there & asked for my car and was given a bill of $ 472 for DIAGNOSISTICS. I was in Shock and asked what for, I was told $199+tax. The cashier called a "MANAGER BEN" who just read out loud the charges. I stated 27 hours earlier new service advisor Daniel Abrams; who had only started work there 3 days before had called told me for an Approval that a diagnosis would be needed & cost $199+tax. Ben shrugged his shoulders, put the bill down & walked away. The bill stated that "customer was given estimate and repairs were declined" which was a lie. After 2 days of them having my car I NEVER RECEIVED ANY ESTIMATE for the actual repair cost. This was my 3rd Ford dealership in the area. read more

After the service manger hearing the issue, grabbing a tech for input, and the tech stating he knew what the problem was, they fixed nothing and then decided to double charge me. After having my truck for two weeks, and me having to pay for the rental, I finally called to check the status, and found out I paid for a rental for nothing. How can you be that self absorbed to not call the customer on not once, but two occasions? Save yourself the cost and headache. sat here for 40 mins while waiting for my appointment for my ford transit. my husband dog and i live in our van and just happen to be traveling in this area and are already past due for an oil change. we had an appointment at 9am and showed up at 8:20am which was quite early and checked in with the people at the service desk. wasn't seen until 9:20am, as we were sitting in the outside waiting area, in plain view of everyone. turns out they didn't even schedule our appointment right when booking over the phone and so now we have a 2 hour wait because they only have one lift gate for our size vehicle and allowed someone else to go ahead of us. so we will have sat here for 3 hours for our scheduled appointment. we've been to a few fords across the country and NEVER have had this horrible of customer service/ lack of communication with a team of ford dealers. i'd drive to a surrounding city to get an oil change. the lack of organization here is maddening. then after we got our vehicle back all the latches inside our tiny home were unlatched so clearly they WENT THROUGH MY HOME AND SNOOPED AROUND! how disrespectful! I bought a Certified Ford from Wayne Akers and the service department did not fix the problem when the warranty was in effect. Now that it is out of warranty, they want to charge me $2500 for what should have been fixed the first time.
