Webers is always a safe choice. They have lots of good basic American dishes to select from. I can always depend on the quality of the food which is very good. I love their eggs Benedict at breakfast and Belgian waffle. The roast beef is delicious. I've been to Weber's once before, but that was years ago. If forgotten how truly spectacular the food is. We stopped in for lunch today and I was reminded of just how fantastic steak is when it's done right. The staff is truly courteous: warm and friendly. We were welcomed immediately into the restaurant and actually asked what our preference for booth or table was. The hostess seated us in this very cozy, very plush booth next to a rather impressive display of wines from all over. (Mostly Napa Valley, but there were some lovely French, German and Argentinian bottles mixed in the display.) At Weber's there is more than one dining room, and the space we were sat in was absolutely lovely: open and airy with a distinctly Old World feel in the enormous cross beams holding up the ceiling and the stained glass windows. The crown moulding (which isn't really crown moulding,) heartens back to the heyday of American architecture with its intricate patterns. The dark wood that I suspect is either cherry or mahogany gives the space an extra luxurious feel. After we were seated, our waiter, Mikey, whom I would recommend asking for if you eat at Weber's; brought our menus and gave us ample time to decide what we wanted. Neither of us ever felt rushed at any time during our meal. After Mikey brought our drinks, we started with an appetizer of oysters. They were simply served: on the half shell, over a bed of ice, with a small cup of cocktail sauce and horseradish and a lemon wedge. The hidden treat we discovered was a perfectly miniature bottle of Tabasco sauce! It was individually wrapped and just adorable. As nice as that surprise was, the chefs at Weber's give you the perfect foil for their absolutely fresh oysters in that divine cocktail sauce and the lemon wedge. I recommend some of both on your oysters; which come swimming in their own natural liqueur. Try one on the toast points Weber's serves in its bread basket too... Just delicious! From the oysters we moved on to our first course. My mother had ordered the potato-leek soup, and at Mikey's suggestion, I ordered the Caesar salad. The potato-leek soup is served on Thursdays only. It's rich, velvety, and sings with the flavors of the leeks and onions and fresh cream. The Caesar salad was just wonderful. The greens were absolutely fresh and cut perfectly into bite-sized portions. Fresh parmigiano reggiano cheese was sprinkled over my salad; along with homemade garlic croutons. The dressing was also homemade, and absolutely fantastic. The nicest surprise, however, was the two little anchovies curled up on top of my salad like a rose! Mikey ground fresh pepper onto my salad for me and the bite of the pepper really brought out the tang of the lemon and the creaminess of the fresh egg yolk in the dressing. It was a pleasant compliment to the salty, nutty flavor of the anchovies as well. FYI: you can request to have no anchovies on your salad if you don't like them, but they do compliment the flavors of the Caesar salad extremely well. Our main course was the absolute star of our lunch; especially for me. Weber's ages their prime Black Angus beef for 28 days. When you have meat this special, it doesn't need a lot of seasoning or other masking agents: the complex flavor of the aged prime steak sings with just simple salt and pepper. My mother ordered the prime rib with mashed potatoes and I had the 14 oz. New York strip with fresh vegetables. Mom's prime rib was everything one should expect from a such a decadent cut of beef: tender, juicy, and oh-so flavorful. The fat literally melted in her mouth, (and mine! I got a bite and it was soooo good!) the beef had a good chew, amazing texture, and that wonderful, noble flavor that can only be achieved by aging prime beef. Mom's prime rib was also accompanied by a little pot of au jus, which was put to good use by the both of us. Despite the deliciousness of the prime rib, I have to say that the New York strip I had stole the show. Fourteen ounces of dry-aged, prime, Black Angus steak pan-seared to medium-rare perfection. My steak came out hot and just absolutely perfect. It is difficult to find a steakhouse that can prepare New York strip correctly. By that, I mean in lieu of a fantastic, flavorful steak experience, most "steakhouses" give you a cut of meat so tough it would be better suited to becoming the sole of a shoe. Weber's is a rare exception to that rule. My steak was cooked perfectly, and the meat had an excellent chew, with that beautiful river-rock taste that only the best of beef has; deepened by the aging process which lends a soft, wild game quality to the meat: enhanced by the simple seasonings of salt and pepper and the fabulous crust from the pan-searing. The vegetables were exemplary. I have not had such a fantastic steak experience in quite a long time and I am already looking forward to a repeat performance when I next visit. read more

I was not at all impressed with the service or the atmosphere last time we went in, they were attempting to stick us in the back with a party of 10+ and there was kids when we were a small group of 4 and the restaurant was no where near busy. read more

My husband and I were looking for a nice place to go for his birthday. Weber's prime-rib was recommended to us by a friend. We decided to git it a try and I am SO glad we did. The evening was perfect from start to finish. My husband had the prime-rib and I had the New Zealand Lamb. Both dishes were absolutely amazing. The service was impeccable. Kyle and Bobby were attentive, had great energy and amusing as well. Tim the piano man was quite a treat. The atmosphere is very classy, but Tim lightens it up with some classical arrangements of 80's tunes from such artists as Cure, Blonde, Depeche Mode, and even AC/DC. To finish it off we ordered the Chocolate Truffle Cake. It was probably the best dessert we have ever had. We haven't had such a wonderful birthday night out in quite awhile. We had Weber's Easter Sunday brunch on April 21, 2019 and we were very disappointed in the quality of the food. This is our fourth year attending the Easter Sunday brunch and each year the food quality has gone downhill. This Easter's brunch hit rock bottom. The Good: The cinnamon rolls, the breakfast sausage and the waffles were tasty. The Bad And The Ugly: The eggs were very watery, cold and had virtually no taste. The fresh fruit (cantaloupe, honeydew) was not ripe enough to eat. The potatoes were bland. The baked chicken was very dry and also cold. The service was good. But, for $30/adult plus tax and tip and considering the poor food quality, we are not planning to return again for Easter brunch. read more

Skeptical at first due to outside appearance but surprisingly modern interior. On a Tuesday night awesome musician, great drink selection, good service and yummy food! They had Canadian club for me and Bakers bourbon for my husband. My husband had the scallops as they get fresh sea food three times a week and gave them a 5/5. I had the prime rib and was slightly less impressed. The Caesar salad with anchovy was delicious and the bread basket selection was unique and flavorful. Went there for restaurant week. Food was great! We ordered mussels and escargot for appetizers. The house salad was great. The lobster bisque was excellent. Then the entrees - prime beef - so good!! My wife and I enjoyed an amazing evening at Weber's restaurant at Weber's Inn in Ann Arbor, MI. Great restaurant. I had the scallops and New England clam chowder and both were excellent. The service was some of the best I have experienced. Our waitress, Julia, seemed to know every time we needed something and the manager stopped by the table at just the right time. Came into town for the night and was looking for a good steak. Webers is across the street from my hotel and the desk clerk recommended it so thought I would try it. Dinner salad was very fresh and dressing was good. I had the ribeye with potatoes au gratin my client had the fillet mignon and baked potato. Both our steaks were cooked perfectly and the potatoes were very tasty. Had a nice bottle of wine as well. Our server was Janelle and she was terrific. Very friendly and super attentive. For two people the bill was $111 without tip. I believe it was definitely worth that much for a great dinner with such good service. read more

Eggs Benedict on a buffet?? Um, yes, please!! Other standards round out the list- egg bake, pepper beef, stroganoff, breakfast breads. Also add a ham carving station and fresh waffles. Ordering off the menu is lovely- a limited menu offers classics in lovely sauces and flavors. A favorite place for a get together with friends or family, or a quiet time for yourself. Food was fine but service was not. We have stayed here for years as we attend opening day Michigan football. This time there was only one waitress and we waited 20 minutes to get our table cleaned. Once we got our drinks, the pre game buffet was out of everything that used to make it great. We finished our "meal" and then wanted to head the the shuttle. The only waitress went MIA and 45 minutes later we got our check AFTER I went to the hostess. Went there with a party of seven and all around great experience and eager to come back next time. Pros: the ambiance is cool, decor is neat, live pianist that played very well, and a live band later. Our waitress was great, we stayed three hours and never felt rushed, she was very good at being there and getting us everything we needed without disrupting the flow of conversation, literally would sneak in and refill waters without realizing anyone had come by. It made for a great time to hang with out-of-town family and make the most of our limited time together. Each person enjoyed their meal and apps, we had oysters and calamari apps; meals were prime rib, filet, London broil, crab cakes, and crab legs. Chocolate truffle cake, creme brûlée, and cheese cake desserts were all very good too. The only "cons" were that the crab cakes (while very tasty) were a little small and my wife didn't care for the (disproportionately large) side of slaw that came with, and I really did not care for the lobster bisque, which I thought was overpowering in other tastes that drowned out the lobster flavor, and was too salty-lots of lobster pieces but unfortunately couldn't really taste them. I'd pass on that next time. It was a good experience overall, we spent a lot but really felt that given the good food and drinks, atmosphere, service, it was reasonable and looking forward to coming again soon. read more

Went here for the first time after hearing good things. My steak was over salted which was disappointing and the crab cake was more like a toasted lump of crab (still good but not what I expected). New years eve resv for 6 of us at 8:30pm. None of the staff that we encountered were anything other than delightful, but the ambience is uppity and nothing I enjoy being around. We're a more relaxed group who just happen to enjoy good food and well crafted drinks (we didn't get any of those tho). Aside from side glances from ugly old women in the bar, it was a task to get a drink. No specialty drink menus or NYE type options and had to holler for the bartenders attention, so the easy option was beer. Seated quickly, great young lady taking care of us. We were disappointed with the limited menu, only 1 chicken option and no pasta. One of our party doesn't eat seafood, so beef was her choice. I realize that prime rib is their specialty but there should be an option for all. MOST disappointing was the outright disregard for the huge doobie fest taking place in the lower level. Weed permeated the entire floor, halls, bathrooms and staircase. It was undeniable and overwhelming. Pretty hard to not notice but didn't appear to be addressed. Also they allowed their band/entertainment to park right out front ON the sidewalk, causing us to have to walk in the rain out into the driveway around the bands cars and trailer both on entry and exit. Bathrooms are small, have silly tp Ive not seen since grade school and overflowing trash cans. No complaints about the food or service at dinner but we'll opt to keep to our other "special event" places. I can't get past the "image" scene, its definitely not worth the trip or the money. read more

Very very disappointing experience...My friend's birthday dinner was a disaster. She has been talking about the 2 pound lobster for months for her birthday so I decided to take her to Weber's knowing that everything will be perfect! Well...I was wrong. Our waiter Rachelle must have just started working there...First, my friend got the wrong dinner out: 2 lobster tails instead of the 2 pounder. Then, while waiting... my dinner got cold and I got a splash of au jus to warm it up...which I thought was strange... Finally, the lobster arrived. My friend dug into it and a bunch of water spilled all over the plate. The meat was chewy and not tasty at all. She was very disappointed and still hungry. I am not sure what happened last night, but this ruined my friend's birthday. I guess she won't be going back next year. read more

Our food was a joke ordered a filet medium, got a well done burned form of meat it wasnt a filet instead a cheaper fatty cut of meat could not eat.The fish and chips disgusting..raw ,mushy with hard cold fries.Service was horrible no one refilled waters ,coffee anything ..We will never be back especially when waitress kept saying "FOLKS" I didnt think I was in the back woods in a barn but Oh well. This place wants to feel nicer but it isnt get people who want to work and management who gives a crap. Group of eight adults... gathered for a milestone birthday celebration. We were at first ushered to a table that was way too small for us... Retabled immediately by one of the hostesses ... but with a bit of an attitude (hence the 4 versus 5 stars) Absolutely want to commend our waiter Brandon! He was one of the best waiters we have encountered in the Ann Arbor area over the years. Treated each person at the table with total attention and answered all questions on menu and wine options with an obvious knowledge and a very low key sense of humor.... We went to Weber's for my birthday dinner. The service was okay. The lemon drop martini was good. When they brought our basket of bread, it was almost all matzos! I would have expected good warm French bread. The prime rib was good, but not amazing, as it should have been for the price. The scalloped potatoes au gratin were quite flavorless and bland. The vegetable medley was not of a good quality. The lobster bisque was pretty bland, too, and I think the meat in it was not lobster but that fake crab meat. The French onion soup was extremely salty. Although they did offer a free birthday dinner, determined by what the others ordered, I wish I had chosen someplace else. Went here for a Friday night dinner before the Christmas weekend. The hotel was packed but the restaurant was pretty empty - a warning sign right there. The vibe is great - an upscale german restaurant with comfy booths, low lighting, candles, and gorgeous holiday decorations. I had high expectations from the ambiance but it went downhill from there. My party of 3 was seated at a booth set up for 2... and we didn't get an extra set of plates/silverware until asking for it multiple times and only after our appetizer came out and the server saw us sharing a water glass and plate. The salmon mousse with the bread basket is great but the bread was either matzo (why?) or cold toasted white bread that had obviously been sitting for some time. For the appetizer we ordered the calamari - not shabby but also not different from any other fried calamari at a happy hour. Entrees we got the scallops (4 or 5 for $30), salmon (nothing to complain about) and lamb (also good but nothing to rave about - the pomegranate sauce didn't add any flavor to the meat). Dessert we got the wrong ice cream and when we brought it to our server's attention he said that the salted caramel and vanilla looked the same and he didn't scoop it so someone else made the mistake. He did bring us the right one eventually, but having to make an excuse (and blame someone else) was very uncomfortable. Also uncomfortable - the lukewarm water for our tea which our server also said he got out of the coffee machine which they always do. That's not a reason for it not to be hot! I think the food was okay but the service was the real disappointment of the evening. read more

We were treated so badly that I felt like I should do my review while sitting here still. I told our very uninterested waitress that I had a dietary restriction and ask her if a menu item was okay for my restriction... she said "I'll check." Came back 10 minutes later and said "Have you decided?" Feeling we were on our own I ordered something safe. A potion of that meal came out with the restriction I could not have. This is just the start of the story. We complained to a manager who was very apologetic but the waitress continued tbe uninterested service without even a hint of remorse. They tried to make it right but that damage was more the service than the food. read more
