We had to running late and decided to stop by Aiea Wendy's located on Moanalua Road, lots of parking and pretty big seating area. The dining area was well kept, only thing someone was in the men's restroom before we arrived and stay in there even after we left, no one checks out the restrooms? On the floor were backpacks and bags. The food was okay I had the double bacon burger, French fries, chicken nuggets and an ice tea. The burger was okay and the French fries came out hot and crispy which was good, the chicken nuggets was good, My wife had the chicken sandwich, French fries, chicken nuggets and a soda, she enjoyed her meal and said they make the best chicken nuggets. I really don't know because I hardly eat chicken nuggets.

I'll admit I'm not much into fast food and I haven't been to a Wendy's in years actually I can't remember when the last time I was at a Wendy's. I believe it was in Salt Lake City with my in-laws who loved their baked potatoes. Well the other day I was watching the basketball playoffs with my kids and caught a commercial for an Orange Creamsicle which peaked my interest enough to make me decide to try them. There's actually a Wendy's at the bottom of Aiea Heights Drive so after an uneventful morning of housework I thought hmmmm I'm driving down the hill and picking up lunch. Timing it perfectly to arrive at 5 minutes before 11:00 I was whoosed into the drive through, placed my order for a double burger, cheese fries and a large Orange Creamsicle. I was starving because dinner the night before was sushi and I didn't have breakfast. Before I left the drive through I stuck the straw in the cup and proceeded to collapse the straw....there's a reason they give you a spoon. Oh well, up the hill back to the house. First up, that burger was great....no ketchup, extra pickles & onions and not greasy. Yummy. Didn't care for those cheese fries, a glutinous mess at the bottom of the container but that Creamsicle...winners. I was so full I took an hour nap. I wouldn't recommend eating this even once a week but I'll be back again in a couple of weeks. I liked their creamsicle better than Teddys and priced better too. ,

Today was a bit rough for me BUT we managed to go to Wendy's after church today. It was ok. Just a bit hot because their AC was down. So we decided to eat outside where we parked. Thank Goodness we had the stall right by the benches. We had the baby in the trunk while the kids were sitting on the bench & NO FOUL STENCH either! So it was a great moment!

Free Cold Brew from T-Mobile Tuesdays and Wendy's... According to my T-Mobile Tuesdays app, I only had nine hours left to redeem the offer for a free small coffee or a Cold Brew from Wendy's... Hmmm... I'd better get going! I used my Yelp app and found the closest Wendy's was the location across from Aiea Shopping Center. It's a stand alone building in an odd place, but it worked for me! I easily parked for free and walked in. The place was empty except for a lone employee taking a break at a table near the restroom. The dining area is configured in an L-shape. The ordering counter faces the morning sun. I waited for help with the app. It wanted me to do a mobile order and I couldn't figure it out. The manager tried, too. She ended up just giving me the free Cold Brew... LOL! I also got a Bacon Cheese and Egg Croissant and decided to dine in. I was starving and this breakfast sandwich held me over until lunch! It was a nice experience with peppy music! A couple dined in, too, and sat on the other side of the restaurant, near the restroom. Thanks for the free Cold Brew, T-Mobile Tuesdays and Wendy's! It's too bad that Wendy's doesn't have dairy-free creamer. However, they do have Splenda!

I DoorDashed some cookies from Wendy's today along with my baconator, the burger was good as always and the fries however the cookies are burnt, why were these even up to be seved? They should've been thrown away the second they saw the cookies burnt instead of keeping them

Bacon, Egg & Cheese Biscuit...with maple syrup?

I wrote a review for this location before, and gave it one star. This recent experience I encountered was even worse, so I wish I could make a no star review. Put in a mobile order, and went to the drive thru to pick it up. I got to the window, and the lady handed me someone else's order. I told her it wasn't my order and showed her the mobile order I placed on my phone. She said that my order just got picked up by someone with the same name as me. She also claimed that this person ordered the EXACT same thing as me. I insisted that she gave my order to the wrong person, but the lady kept arguing that the order already got picked up. How can you not believe me when I have the receipt right there on my phone? After some arguing, she finally remade my order, and I went on home. I get home, and...my mom's Cinnamon pull-apart was missing. Also, my bacon, egg and cheese biscuit had MAPLE SYRUP poured in between the sandwich. I've ordered that sandwich before, and never once had maple syrup on it. Like, why would you even do that? I'm not sure if that was intentional or not, but it tasted so bad, I couldn't finish my sandwich. I'm pretty upset that I spent almost $30 for my order, and couldn't even eat my meal. Thankfully the Pearl City location is nearby because I think I'll be going there from now on.

Even with the $2 jump in price the Biggie Bag is still a decent deal. A regular combo meal is well over $10 and usually closer to $15 at other fast food joints. Solid food. Service here at the counter can be slow. Priority clearly given to drive through.

Since I paid an extra $3.50 for my onion rings I was very disappointed. Only plus is they were nice and crunchy. Hubby's burger and fries were hot, so my order must have been made first and then just sat there for a while. Hubby was happy with his meal since it was hot and cooked medium as he ordered. I would say that Forty Niner is a great place to get the bang for your buck in terms of pricing for their food, but I will say that the quality of the food isn't as great as it's presented on their ordering site, Beluga. Today, my husband and I chose to do takeout and ordered three things: The Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, Chorizo Hash, and the Molokai Loco Moco. For the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, the lemon taste was pretty concentrated in the middle of the pancake/not well distributed and we couldn't really taste the ricotta flavor, but it was pleasantly sweet (not too sweet). For the Chorizo Hash, I was a little bit sad that it wasn't very flavorful and the Chorizo wasn't well cooked. The Molokai Loco Moco's flavor receives the same review as the Chorizo Hash; although it was special/the first time we'd had Loco Moco like that, it was pretty soggy/watery and lacked flavor. The food itself in my opinion gets a 3.5/5, but because they were timely and friendly as a staff, I'm bumping our review up to a 4! P.S: This location is in the corner of a neighborhood street and Kam Hwy and the parking is pretty small/limited!

I took off two stars because I ordered the same grilled cheese that I did the day before, had a great experience and it was night and day this time around. The one I had in Kapolei was able to melt the cheese, but this one didn't even seem like they tried...so I asked if they could make it again. Understandably, when I asked if they could make it again, they asked what was wrong and I told them the cheese wasn't melted, which sets my expectations for the next one. They made another one (begrudgingly) and I got the same results as far as the cheese. But at least this one was warm so more heat did hit the cheese, but just not enough to melt it per my request. No wonder it came out five minutes before mine. I got the fish tacos with tots (extra $2), and this dish was the most egregious rip off I've ever seen in a restaurant. No wonder the server dropped it and ran. For $18, I got three street taco-sized flour tortillas, goopy mayo-laden "slaw", and pico with a teeny tiny piece of fish on top. See the pics! Smaller than my thumb. Barely two tater tots in size. And because it was plopped into mayo slaw, it was soggy on arrival. The fish was also suspiciously fishy tasting. I debated eating it. I ended up making one taco with all the fish and a potato taco with some tots before finally giving up. I know things are tough for restaurants right now. But this was ridiculous.
