I don't usually review fast food but Wendy's is giving away a classic chicken sandwich as long as you order something else on the app, so I did. Fries are a pointless carb, and instead of soda, I'd rather have water so I had a large vanilla frosty (570 calories) along with this free classic chicken sandwich (about 450 cal). Frosties are of course always good unless they're too watery but this one was great. The sandwich was disappointing because the chicken breast was overfried as you can see (or they're using old oil). It had Mayo, 2 small pickles, tomato and lettuce. For the price ($5), I'd much rather have the Popeye's chicken sandwich which blows all of them out of the water hands down. Line was wrapped around the building to the point it was less than ideal to wait in the drive thru, nonetheless we decided to be patient and wait in the line anyways. Ordered two meals, two frostys and two drinks. I was told that the frosty machine was out and needed to be refilled. After being charged the total I was asked to wait a few feet forward for the frostys and my drinks. 20 minutes pass 8 cars pass me and no ONE has come out for my order. I walk in and immediately get told the lobby is closed. I asked about my frostys and was shown brown water from the machine after being told to park and wait. Everyone looked at me like I was expected to be ok with it and walk away, I asked for a refund and which who I assume was the manager gave me cash without even a word. I paid with my card. As far as fast food places go, this Wendy's is a favorite. I find that the expectations of a fast food joint are lower when compared to a restaurant. This Wendy's sets the bar and you notice the difference when you visit their competitors! They hardly ever mess up their orders. Their food taste significantly fresher than their competitors does. The staff answers questions about the menu and are knowledgable about products. The staff is friendly and goes above and beyond what is asked of them by making suggestions. I have never seen an eye roll or heard an annoyed sigh at this location which is something I get everywhere else. I love coming here because I know it's top quality food and I will be treated nicely. There is one complaint however: I don't like that during the "drive thru only hours" they don't let people walk through the drive thru. One time I was in the urgent care right beside this location and they denied my father the right to purchase because he wasn't in a car... I wonder how many customers have been lost this way? I went on my lunch break and went threw the drive thur the person taking orders not even listening to my order I had to repeat twice and every time the person keep asking anything else. I get to the window to pay they lady didn't tell me my total or even say hello just took my card and cashed me out. This place makes sure you leave with your correct order. I've been coming to this location for years and they rarely ever mess up orders. And when they do, they correct it for you and let you keep the mistakes. The only problem some times when you come here there's a line out the drive-thru and that's usually on weekends because parents don't want to cook for their kids. read more
