A table behind us got up and left and said their food hadn't come in 45 minutes. We tried the asparagus fries, which were delicious. I got the bistro plate, which was great. My friend got the Thai salad which she loved. At the end, they gave us the wrong check and we told the manager who happened to be walking by and she was not apologetic. I think we caught them in a very busy chaotic day. When we walked by a couple hours later, it was much slower and calmer.

Wendy's is one of those mom and pop diners that makes you excited about breakfast food and burgers. I love going to this place, especially for breakfast, because it has that laid back, unpretentious attitude that I think could improve so many other places if they became more like Wendy's. It's not fancy diner food but it's tasty and fresh and always hot. If you like corned beef hash and eggs, you've got to try it here! Their coffee is terrific and the service is always fantastic and personal. These people take great pride in what they do and really work to remember each of their regular customers. Wendy's has a real community vibe and, when you go there enough, you will start to recognize a lot of the same faces. Wendy's is a real staple in this neighborhood and I can't imagine what it would be like without it. Food doesn't have to be covered in fancy sauces or served on fine china to be great. Wendy's reminds me of that each and every time I'm there. read more

Awesome small business diner. I highly recommend it. Just make sure to take cash. They only take cash!!!! The people are very friendly. My first time there, I was shocked to see that the customers themselves would go refill their coffee and walk around the diner asking other customers if they needed a coffee refill. That through me off. I thought it was an employee going around, but then realized it was a customer. That was cool! I automatically figured this person had been coming here for years. The diner has an old feel to it. Made me feel right at home. The cooks and staff are very polite and very attentive. So if you're ever in the area and want a good breakfast, this is you place to be. Not impressed! My girlfriend and I saw a crowed waiting for tables one morning. We were just coming back after a run by the beach and were starving so we put our names down and waited. The wait wasn't too bad since the crowed was pretty much one group and after 15 min. they called us in. The staff was frendly and service was quick but we were just not impressed with the food. It looks like the place has been around for a while and was full of loyal customers. Unfortunately their menu seams like from when the place was 1st opened. Not a very healthy selection! You think places can't mess up breakfast, but there are so many places that can't even cook an egg right. This place knocks it out of the ball park. Chicken fried steak with some eggs over easy and a biscuit with jam all over it. I'm getting hungry just writing about it. It also lacked flavor overall. The only thing I liked was the poached eggs. The pork chop with eggs ($18.99) was extremely dry, difficult to chew, and very bland. It didn't seem seasoned at all. We ordered a side of gravy to help, but I didn't realize it cost an extra $3. I wouldn't have ordered it had I known, especially since it didn't improve the taste or texture of the pork chop. The pancakes were oddly eggy and didn't taste like pancakes at all. As for the hash browns, I didn't realize hash browns could taste bad, but these were mushy and almost slimy. Half of them were heavily seasoned, while the other half was bland. Even the ketchup didn't help because it only made them mushier. Overall, the server was nice, but I wouldn't come back here for the food.

I don't want to jump to conclusions or accuse anyone of discrimination based on race, age, appearance, or anything else. However, the experience genuinely felt like we were being treated differently based on how we looked or were dressed. What makes it more concerning is seeing other reviews describing similar experiences. At the very least, the seating process needs to be more transparent and consistent. If there is a reason one party is seated before another, especially when they checked in later, the staff should be able to clearly explain why. Unfortunately, that did not happen here, and it made us feel unwelcome. I wish we didn't stay, but kids we were hungry. But I won't be coming here again or recommending this restaurant.

The quality is genuinely there. My only complaint? The size doesn't quite match the price tag. You're paying a premium but leaving wishing there was a little more on the plate.
