A bog standard sandwich for 4x the price.
    Craig A.

Sandwich was edible and super overpriced. "Pepper turkey" seems to be "regular plain turkey roll". No brown or spicy mustard option, yellow mustard and dijon is terrible, but that's what we have to choose from. Wife's tummy didn't agree with the bread, not entirely sure what that was about. I've said it before and I will say it again, your everyday Raley's deli GREATLY surpasses this place, with more options and is much more affordable. There's a checkbox for a pickle on the side, you'd expect a pickle spear, like you get from Firehouse Subs, but we (two sandwich orders) each got a little 2oz container of pickle slices. If I ever decide I want to vastly overpay for a basic sandwich again, I would try something other than their sourdough (I know, but it didn't aid the sandwiches in any way!).

I was excited to try West Coast Sourdough, so we ordered the roast beef sandwich, a turkey and salami sandwich, and a side of mac and cheese. The restaurant had a handful of other customers but wasn't particularly busy. Even so, it took about 18 minutes from ordering at the kiosk to getting our food, which felt like a long wait for a relatively small order. I really liked the house sauce on the sandwiches. It added a nice zest and zip. Unfortunately, I was less impressed with the bread and the amount of meat. For a place centered around sourdough, I expected the bread to taste a little fresher, and the meat portions were pretty skimpy. There was such a thin layer of meat that the ratio of bread to filling felt off. I typically get a much heartier sandwich at places like Jersey Mike's. The mac and cheese was very cheesy and reminded me a lot of Panera's white mac and cheese, so that was probably my favorite part of the meal. Overall, I'm glad I gave it a try, but it didn't quite live up to what I was expecting and I'm not sure I'd return.

7/12/26- Heard they were open, so we popped in. Great to see the business with customers and plenty of staff working. Was standing in line but the lady next to us said the wait was an hour long.. Soft opening and in training... Ended up leaving and will revisit during the week.

A new place to eat that's in South Reno! My daughter ordered on the screen and received her turkey sandwich on sourdough bread quickly. The place was busy! All the staff were friendly and the sandwich was good. I liked how they added a sufficient amount of cranberry and arugula on the soft sour dough bread quickly. We will be returning!

Great new sandwich shop here in South Reno. Went today for lunch and had the turkey on their sourdough bread. Loved it. The bread has a nice crispy exterior and soft inside. The staff was friendly and helpful, answering all our questions. Orders are taken at the counter and then brought over directly to your table. The place was busy as it was lunch hour but I found them to be very efficient despite opening a mere few weeks ago. Staff even came by our table to ask how everything was and to let them know if there was any ways to improve. This is my new favorite sandwich place so definitely will be back!

    Tomato bisque and sourdough bread

This place is so good. We tried the tomato soup (which I normally don't like), and it was amazing. The sourdough that came with it was excellent. We also had the cracked pepper turkey and Rueben sandwiches. We added bacon to the turkey and loved it. The Rueben was good, but the cheese wasn't melted. If they are able to do it (and I don't know because it was our first visit as they just opened yesterday), I would ask them to toast the bread with the cheese on it so it melts. We ordered lemon cookies, but they were out so they gave us chocolate chip instead. They were better than most chocolate chip cookies.

Very tasty!!! I really love the cozy environment. Perfect mix between comfie and livlie! The person helping me was really nice, idk his name but he has glasses and a black turban. I ordered the sourdough bread bowl! It's a bit hard to find because the sign wasn't made/installed yet. Look between the brass tap and the Greek restaurant. I'll easily come back again!

Great lunch and service. Staff was very friendly, very attentive. I had the Sourdough Clam Chowder soup bowl. The staff brought me the Tomato Bisque soup to try on the side, great choice for next time. Or I will try the Ruben on marbled rye!

J great man clean hair cut amazing time to talk o , great good food really good sandwiches and a lot of amazing side dishes

    French dip with added veggies

The sourdough here is incredibly fresh you can really tell it's baked fresh for the sandwiches. There can be a little bit of a wait when they're busy, but honestly, it's worth it for fresh bread and a sandwich made right. Definitely coming back!

Two large (the biggest I've ever seen) white meat chicken tenders. Dipped in buffalo sauce with lettuce and tomato. Such a huge sandwich I gave one of the tenders to my DH and I still couldn't finish my tots. My DH order the brisket sandwich. He gave me half cause it was so big! I took it home and had it for dinner. It was delish!! The meat was so tender and just enough kick to truly make it memorable. He ordered an Arnold Palmer and the waitress kept it refilled. For appetizers, we had wings and their beet salad. Wings were crispy good and the salad so fresh. We split an order of the Parlor burger with fries. They do a good job of splitting our order. Plenty of ranch on the side. Love ranch! For, dessert we had their Whistle pig bread pudding. My favorite. I can honestly say they have the best bread pudding in town. A must try. Our friend had an issue but it was unrelated to our current visit. Which was promptly addressed by the manager. Overall, we highly recommend The Parlor. Come in have a meal. Both times, my friend had the Macro Bowl with Tofu, and the 1st Monday I had the BOMB Salad, and yesterday I had the Poke Bowl with Tofu (OMG this seasonal menu item is beyond delicious and completely addicting! It's at least my 3rd time ordering it. And it's seasonal!) All the food was super fresh and amazingly tasty, and beautifully presented too. I would be happy to eat all meals here as the menu is so chock-a-block full of many amazingly tasty offerings. Speaking of which, we caught sight of the stuffed portobello mushrooms (going to a table nearby) and we will absolutely be trying those next visit! A total visual WOW! Anyway, I guess that's enough about the food. For now. Service is always super friendly and knowledgeable, and the restaurant is bright, cutely decorated, and welcoming. We'll be back soon!

I have now given this place 6 opportunities to be at least SLIGHTLY good…read more I don't get it. Why does anyone like this place? I hate the food every time. I have now tried the Thanksgiving sandwich, a burrito of some kind, the Cobb salad, the turkey pesto sandwich a burger and yesterday a chicken taco salad. Ok, seriously, how can a taco salad not be good, right??? NO FLAVOR, and so skimpy on anything that might have made it good, it was ridiculous. HUGE amount of lettuce (because lettuce is cheap) then a dry and COMPLETELY flavorless chicken breast, a hand full of of black beans, a tablespoon sized portion of Mozzarella cheese (mozzarella? On a taco salad???) a tablespoon sized dollop of sour cream, a wimpy sprinkle of tortilla strips and some watery, very basic salsa (and not enough of that, either). I added a side of avocado which was maybe a quarter of one for $2.25 (so avocados cost $9 apiece, apparently). Anyway, once I ate what should have been the good stuff, there was sooooo much lettuce remaining. Bleh. I left hungry. That salad was $26 dollars for a tasteless bowl of lettuce. . Of the 5 other people with me, only one liked what she got, and she was the one who picked where we would eat. Never, ever again. Clean, organic food can still have flavor!!!!!

The decor is modern with Spanish and Asian influence with some pop culture and the venue itself is very inviting. I mainly return here for their Spanish Octopus which is charcoal grilled adding to its unique flavor. I can't recommend the Spanish Octopus enough for anyone willing to try something new, delicious, and unique, I've brought several friends and family here just for this specific dish! For those who may be put off by the visuals of a tentacle, my fiancé usually enjoys their Potato Taquitos and 1855 Tri Tip Alambre Tacos which are both equally delicious. The staff are very friendly and observant we did not have to ask for refills on our beverages and they took empty dishes away swiftly. The ambiance is nice,.but it gets pretty loud in the restaurant even if people aren't really loud…read more It really echos inside. There is nice outdoor seating mostly shaded. Service was friendly no complaints there Overall food was not very flavorful.. too many flavor combinations trying to be fancy and for the prices of each dish I would not recommend this place. I saw it was on the yelp top 100 at one point..so I had wanted to check it out.. but it was very disappointing. A glass bottle of very warm water with the 2 smallest glasses with ice was brought to the table first. Ice is nice especially when its 100 degrees outside. But the glass was like a shot glass and with the water being so warm by the time we ordered our food all of the ice was melted which made that 1st glass of water cold which was a couple of gulp but then you're left with warm water. Food presentation was very beautiful. Taste of food wasn't anything you'd come back for. We ordered the mushroom raviolis.i expected a white sauce as it said creme sauce but it was a red sauce. It came with crispy potatoes which were very thinly sliced and fried potatoes and a citrus salad which was arugula and a very tasty dressing. There was maybe 5 raviolis not great..the red sauce is all you can taste some loose mushrooms around the raviolis in the sauce. The fried potatoes great in presentation ok in taste but I wish there was more potato in each bite. The arugula and dressing were the best thing I ate out of 4 dishes I tried. We also had the potato taquitos which I was looking forward to but it was very dense and the potato tasted like how a bad potato smells. Other than that it was very very bland. Nice crisp on the taquito. The gnocchi pasta dish was also no flavor. The sausage in it was good. 2nd favorite item was the slice of bread toasted on both sides. The bread was almost as big as the food on the plate. The 4th dish was the potstickers which also were just ok.

When visiting Reno, I highly encourage anyone that is looking for a delightful and relaxing lunch…read morespot to definitely check out "Süp". Located directly on S. Virginia St and adjacent to St. Lawrence Ave in the heart of the Midtown neighborhood of Reno, Süp has served up delicious and healthy sandwiches, salads, and soups dating back to 2007. This place has been on my radar for quite some time and I finally got to experience what it was all about. Since this is in a fairly busy commercial part of town, it can be a bit tricky to find parking. However, we were able to park only a block away and this was during the afternoon on Thursday 7/2/2026 at around 12:15pm. After making the short way to the business, I absolutely loved the exterior aesthetics and layout were represented. The business itself mimics a house complete with a large front patio area that actually snakes around to the side of the house for the more comfortable Reno days. The wooden tables with plastic chairs and covered tents to shield off the sun were a very nice touch. The inside also offers very generous indoor seating complete with ample space for a single person, a couple, or a family. Their menu are digitally presented on LED TVs complete with some of their specials that are handwritten on a chalkboard. My lady and I both decided to order sandwiches to get our fuel and energy for the day. I went with their "Char-Grilled Steak Baguette"; this came complete with their bistro steak drizzled with chimichurri sauce and topped with caramelized onions, New York white cheddar & sharp cheddar cheese and served on a cheddar poppy seed baguette. My lady went with their "Reno Deli"; this offered salami, pepperoncini & pesto layered with spinach, tomatoes, provolone cheese, and aioli on toasted sourdough bread. Both of our sandwiches came with a side house salad. Once given our number (we got Tahoe St), we decided to sit outside and take full advantage of the weather (as it was a perfect 78°F). What I particularly like is that the ambiance is the perfect vibe for daydreaming, people watching, and enjoying the simplicity that a city like Reno offers. Both our sandwiches arrived in roughly 10 minutes and were presented on white porcelain plates. My sandwich was made to perfection as the cheddar baguette securely held the fillings quite nicely. There was a lot of seasoned steak as the other sauces were not too overpowering. And considering the size of this, it got me quite full as I wasn't hungry until much later in the day. I will say that if you're looking for a reputable small business that offers healthy fresh ingredients, excellent customer service, amazing ambiance in a very desirable area of Reno, I highly recommend giving "Süp" a try. Their selection of salads, sandwiches, bowls, and soups are all wonderful choices as they focus on farm-fresh ingredients. And if time allows, I highly encourage everyone to eat here as I felt right at home during my 45-minute stay. Keep in mind that they are closed on Sunday but are open Monday through Saturday from 11am-9pm. With that said and done, I am giving Süp a perfect five-star review.
