Bfast bagel review only. If I was reviewing smells, they'd get 5 insanely intoxicating ones! Bfast bagel gets the job done, but prob best for if you're on the go and need something substantial that isn't fast food. No fireworks or standout ingredients (other than the bagel, of course!). Do appreciate that they have a selection of cheeses instead of just your standard American or cheddar and that the egg didn't overwhelm each bite. Today I was helped by the manager Eduardo he is the BEST! Eduardo made my breakfast so delicious and to perfection, he is so nice and has the absolute best customer service! My review is based solely on their customer service Worst location, unfortunately they're the only decent bagel place around. So I'll go just for the food. Customer service is unbelievable and like others have said if you call ahead, they still make you wait in line. They badly need a new attitude and system for orders Don't expect a quick order or prompt responses. I've waited at the counter asking for sugar (which is what a sign by the coffee told me to do if I wanted sugar) to have 2 employees stare me in the eyes and then turn around and ignore me. Eventually instead of waiting to see if they were ready for me, I just said it to the next employee rushing by MANAGEMENT, this store probably does well in your eyes but please help with the customer service, get rid of bad leadership within your store. read more

Let me just start off by saying we came to Western Bagel at 1:00PM and they still have a full selection of fresh bagels. Everything from blueberry to Cheese Jalapeño. Basing this review solely off their food I give it a 5/5 they had some of the best bagels and ingredients I've had since living in LA. We got three bagels: Lox on Rye, Tuna on Salt, and a cream cheese & Jelly on Sesame. They were all so good with fresh and crisp ingredients that you could taste with every bite. The atmosphere is very homey, but I would give the seating area a 3/5 as there were crumbs and trash in between the tables. read more

I usually wouldn't take the time to post about a shitty bagel but being from NYC and Montreal, two bagel Meccas, I feel it's my duty! This the second time I've been to Western bagel. The first time I ordered the salmon cream cheese on a bagel, which wasn't great but I thought I just ordered wrong. I went back yesterday, when it was not crowded at all, and ordered a toasted bagel with garlic cream cheese. I sat down to eat in. It took them almost 15 minutes to bring me my bagel. The older guy who brought it to me on a tray with all these other orders, and when I too a bite it was ice cold. I brought it back inside and complained and the same man just took it from me and didn't say anything at all. No "sorry, I'm giving you another one" no nothing ?? Another person at the counter ended up making me another bagel which I waited for on the spot but it was evident they make all the orders at the same time and Then bring them out. It's a bagel, people! It shouldn't take that long to toast one bagel, smear on cream cheese and serve while it's still warm. The bagel is tiny too. Won't be returning. read more

The employee closing the door on me, just apologized, but can't help me get a bagel...? There's only one other customer finishing up their order in there, and I only wanted a bagel to go. Please update your hours, so I didn't have to spend money on metered street parking outside your door to be rejected at 3:01. read more

Bagels are outstanding here, even if they aren't as traditional as some others. Crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. Best bagels I've ever had. Period. Perfect for bagel sandwiches or with traditional toppings. This location has the problem of a very long line on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Sometimes it feels like it's a 20 minute line. Perhaps a couple more staff during peak times? Coffee is just mediocre. We used to go to the Coffee Bean next door to get the coffee, but that's now closed so we have to suffer through the WB coffee. It's often not promptly replaced, and they also don't have Splenda out (you have to ask overwhelmed employees for it). These are problem areas that need to be addressed by management. Splenda is about 20 years old now, and being paranoid about it being stolen is so year-2000. Just place it out there! read more

After literally cleaning up crap all night, this morning, and after work I realized Western Bagel's 245 calorie sandwich was pretty much the best thing that happened to me today. I can't believe I forgot about Western Bagel. I totally love their alternative bagels that only have 110 calories each. I needed that after this past weekend! My poor dog, Benny, is sick and he did the worst possible thing to you know whose white carpet. It was probably 3am and I ended up stepping in it because I am blind! Imagine trying to get a hold of your glasses with crap on your foot! So, I cleaned it up - shoved Ben in the bathroom and tried to get some sleep before my 5am alarm clock went off. After snoozing for one hour I rushed into the bathroom to step in it again!!!! My gawd! Ben had to stay in the bathroom all day. After work I made sure to look first before I stepped. Good thing, because he did it again. Poor guy! Tomorrow off to the vet. Gotta go, because I have to figure out how I am going to transport a stool sample. Ugh, makes me not want to eat anymore. I had just finished an hours-long salon appointment and knew I had a long drive home during rush hour traffic. I just wanted something to tide me over until I got home. I've always liked Western Bagel and was happy this one was close-by. I ordered a coffee and an Everything Bagel with grape jelly. The coffee was good, but the bagel was burnt. Also... I had expected my bagel to be buttered, but I guess in Western Bagel, one needs to stipulate everything. I can understand that. It's a custom bagel place, so my bad. The shop was clean, the accoutrements counter was clean. The order-taker was friendly. I would have been happier with a non-burnt bagel, but it was ok for a pit stop. read more

So I've been here before for breakfast but never I think for lunch. I'm not usually around a Western Bagel at lunchtime nor do I think of Western Bagel when it comes time to eat something around lunchtime so the stars just happened to be aligned perfectly today I guess and things worked out. I was in the area with a friend running some errands and he suggested that we stop in here for a quick bite and I'm glad we did. I originally was looking to get a roasted turkey hot bagel sandwich but the server girl explained that they were out. So I went to my next fail safe... pastrami. OMG! It was amazing too and I'm so glad they didn't have turkey after all. Haha! And the mustard they used there on the pastrami was like nothing I'd ever tasted before... delicious! The store was nice and clean and the staff were helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend eating here for breakfast, brunch or lunch and I too will back! read more

Yummy fresh bagels, my son and I have stopped by this Western Bagel location a few times for a morning bagel. Service can be a bit slow at times and a bit disorganized with customers all over but the bagels are always fresh and tasty. The coffee/ lattes are not my fav - many people go to the Coffee Bean a couple doors down for their coffee and stop in here for their breakfast. Free parking in back, metered parking out front. So I call ahead because I have other things to do besides standing in line for a bagel. I pay for the meter to run in to grab my order. There are two guys in front of me paying for their order. Once I get to the counter the cashier steps away, ignores me and proceeds to take orders from other customers. He then looks over at me, tells me I have to get in the ordering line of 12-15 people to pick up my order. What the fuck dude? Whats the point of taking orders over the phone? Why do I have to stand in the ordering line to pick up an order? Needless to say I won't be ordering from here again for myself nor any events I produce. Horrible service! read more
