Stopped in to Westville Hell's Kitchen location after 2+ years due to the pandemic. They didn't miss a beat. Sat at the counter, planned to have a cocktail and move on for dinner. I had their signature cocktail "Burnt Orange Manhattan" then decided to stay and eat. I ordered a turkey burger and it was nicely done on a Portuguese muffin (think English muffin but a bit softer). In town for a conference and was looking for a healthy-ish quick spot to eat and stumbled upon this cute little spot. Was able to snag a seat at the bar fairly quickly. They have a nice selection of salads, bowls, and sandwiches. I decided on the kale salad that is basically just a giant bowl of superfood yummy with walnuts, pickled red onion, cheese and cranberries. I opted to add farro for a healthy carb option and a spicy Paloma because...balance. Service was on point, atmosphere was pretty chill though I could tell they get poppin' during rush hours. The spicy Paloma was definitely spicy ans packed a wee punch. The kale salad was light yet filling and everything was super fresh and I'm pretty sure if I ate this salad every day I'd become a supermodel. My husband and I have been to Westville many times (before rona) and we always love the food, drinks and service! Westville has really set themselves up for success with their outdoor dining. They have the perfectly shaded tables that are sectioned off by partition walls which is awesome! We came to Westville for lunch last Sunday and the food and service was just as great as 'pre-rona'. My husband had the egg scramble plate which was huge and he said everything was super delicious! I had the brunch Caesar with poached egg which was out of this world! One item I would recommend getting every time is the French fries which are super crispy and fully of flavor. Dined for brunch on Saturday at 10AM. There was no wait at that time but there were some tables already filled. The place filled up quick. It was a nice sunny day so they had the front of the restaurant opened so I was able to have my dog sit right outside. The seats in the front are high tabletops. They have bar seating and seats in the back which I think were the normal tables. Looked like they had a full bar. The staff was friendly and didn't rush us out. Food was hearty and delicious. The California Benedicts was delightful. The hash brown was a nice touch instead of an English muffin. I added salmon to the benedict and it was perfect! The Shakshouka had excellent flavor. My only critic would be having the poached egg to slightly show so you can see it before digging into the bowl. It would make the dish visually nicer. I recommend this place for a nice casual catch up dining spot with friends or family, before or after a workout, and if you're looking for a healthy and hearty meal with excellent flavors and good options to choose from. After a long night of drinking, the best hang over cure in the morning is a nice brunch place to eat at. Came here with all my hungover friends to clear our heads. The sitting area was pretty nice. We sat outside but they had set up tents to sit inside. There was enough airflow for it not be to congested. The service was not bad either. They were prompt with our orders and refilled our water whenever necessary. My go to brunch food is an egg benedict so I got the salmon egg benedict. This was actually really good. The smoked salmon was cooked just well. The egg was the perfect runnyness as the yolk just dripped perfectly. My friend got some toast which I tried and it was average. The brunch was really good but wasn't anything spectacular. I definitely would recommend people to try it out. I went there a second time and was really blown away. The mac and cheese was perfectly melty with a crisped cheese top and the market place vegetables were cooked perfectly. Big fan of Westville! I get the kale salad weekly with chicken or streak. Always hits the spot and very quick. My only complaint is I wish they gave more dressing. It comes with a little plastic container, if you want a regular size one, you have to call each time and request it. read more

This place is great. Stopped by cause I wanted a good salad for a quick bite. I got the Greek salad with chicken which was pretty classic but had a really fresh dill vinaigrette that made it really special. It also came with a toasted baguette topped with goat cheese that also elevated the dish. It was a very large salad - probably enough for 2 people with normal appetites but I of course polished off the entire thing. I sat by the bar and I was served very quickly and efficiently. Kale Salad ($13): raw kale, red onions, blue cheese, cranberries, pumpkin seeds, walnuts, and lemon olive oil. Grilled Salmon Plate ($19): comes with two market sides so I chose beets with walnuts and honey dijon brussels sprouts The kale salad was really well made! Kale was well massaged so it wasnt too tough. There was a good kale to topping ratio. And I liked the combination of the toppings. I wished there were more lemon since I love LOTS of sourness in my salads so I just added my own lemon juice and it was perfect! The grilled salmon plate was pretty good! The salmon was a bit dry and more cooked than what I usually like. I liked that it came with some lemon slices because the salmon itself didnt have much flavor/spice. However, I appreciate the size of the salmon! The market veggies were super fresh delicious. Beets and walnuts were good but nothing crazy but the sauce that came with Brussels Sprouts was very good! Westville is finally in HK! I've visited Westville locations all over the city, including Chelsea and the West Village. When in passing I saw they were bringing a location to Hell's Kitchen, I got excited! And finally was able to try it this past Friday night! Considering they are new and at many times over half an hour wait for a table, we were pleasantly surprised to be seated within 5-10 minutes. Service was superb. We ordered a few drinks, and started with the Bok Choy (always a favorite) and the smoky mac n cheese with bacon to start. While their standard menu is always exceptional, my friend and I tried some of the nightly dinner specials: blackened mahi mahi with avocado salsa over sauteed spinach, and the chili lime rice bowl with skirt steak. Westville is generally known for their market vegetables, which are pretty much served with almost any entree on the menu. Everything was perfect and delicious. One of the best things about Westville: You could be craving a burger, something carb-y like fried chicken sandwich or mac n cheese, or be on the keto diet and order grilled chicken or salmon with two sides (read: greens, for this diet), and you'll find it here. I love eating at Westville; my family loves to go for brunch on the weekends and I also love going for lunch during the week. The food is delicious and tastefully presented, the place is clean and inviting. Although the waiters and waitresses are very friendly and attentive, service can be slow. Sometimes the wait time before a waiter/waitress approaches the table to take your order is a long time, and you're not sure where they are. My only other complaint is that if you order a decaf coffee you cannot get a refill- you must pay for another cup. This is NOT the case if you've ordered a regular coffee- a refill is happily provided. Why should a regular coffee order offer one free refill but not the decaf???? As a result I no longer order any coffee. That said, Westville is a nice enjoyable place to go with friends or family for a delicious meal. read more

I met my cousins from mid-town Manhattan and Boston and my aunt from the Columbus Circle area for Sunday brunch today at Westville. We chose it due to it's proximity to my 91 year old aunt, it's reasonable price and solid Yelp reviews. We made a reservation to eat outside and could not have picked a nicer Sunday weatherwise! The restaurant had everything set up for us and Alejandro, our server, could not have been nicer and more accomodating. We also appreciated that they do not rush you through your meal. I ordered the hangover hash special which I thought was a little bland and could have used more spice (I added pepper). Because it was made with French fries, it was a little to greasy but still very edible and the scrambled eggs with it were delicious. It was also a very generous portion. I took a check-in photo of my meal to show on my review but being a knucklehead, I left my phone on the table in the sun so it overheated and I lost the photo! Two of my dining companions ordered the cast iron turkey burger which they thoroughly enjoyed and my other cousin had a crab cake and eggs special that she said was very flavorful. We all agreed that the coffee and ice coffee here is excellent! My one suggestion is for the waitstaff to remember to check the outside tables more often during their meals to see if they need anything or want more coffee or water.
