Westville is right around the block from our apartment and will be a staple in our weekly restaurant dining! We popped in for brunch on a Sunday early afternoon and loved the service from our server Kara who welcomed us to the neighborhood and was a delight! We ordered the Not So Sweet Peach Tea, Market Plate (4 small plates), and the Steak n Eggs. The tea and market plate was fantastic, steak n eggs were good but not as big as I'd like and lacked a little bit of salt. Overall solid option for a healthy bit to eat! read more

What went well? EVERYTHING! Friends of mine have been raving about the various Westville locations in New York City but as a general rule, we don't eat out that frequently but yesterday, after a stressful visir to my internist, we decided to treat ourselves to what turned out to be a fabulous lunch at the Westville location on the upper west side. Having never been to ond of their restaurants, I needed some guidance and fortunately, Kara, was our server and not only explained the menu and made wonderful suggestions but also engaged in a fascinating discussion with my wife about how the creators of these restaurants have focused on healthy options for hungry customers. Based on Kara's recommendations, I ordered the Market Plate with three selections that were delicious. My wife had the goal cheese salad that she loved. Fortunately they recently opened a new location on the upper east side, which is closer to our apartment, so we'll be returning soon! read more

I hate to write bad reviews but after several attempts to contact the restaurant and not being able to - I feel posting here is what I need to do. I came in to restaurant on 3/30 and ordered tenders and hotdogs/fries to take out. When I got home, the tenders were burnt and too hard to eat. It's a little too far to go back to restaurant. So I look on receipt to contact the restaurant. There's no telephone number to call but it says you can leave feedback at lovesfeedback.com/westville. I tried several times but got message that there is a problem with site so unable to leave feedback. So I go to restaurant's website and find a telephone # and called restaurant 2x. Both times - after waiting to be connected to someone for about 10 -15 minutes each, a message comes on that there is an error and then the call drops. I go back to the website - There is no option listed to contact restaurant. I know mistakes happen but it's just frustrating - not to be able to reach anyone except to go back to restaurant. Not good customer service. (And I left a tip on the order that I picked up). read more

Ordered Uber eats. It was great quality and i was impressed. I wanted the greek salad with a kale base which I loved and I'm glad they were able to make the change. My girlfriend and I came here yesterday. She had been to one of the other locations before and suggested it. We got 4 different veggies as an appetizer. Then we ordered off the brunch menu (it was around 3pm when we went but we asked and our server said it wasn't a problem). I got the breakfast burrito and she got the chilaquiles. We both enjoyed the food a lot. Service was good. The restaurant was clean. Sorry but I'm taking 1 star away because their bathroom had no paper towels. They use an air dryer instead. Westville is always a reliable option for a nice sit down place with healthy food and a menu with something for everyone. I've been to the UWS location several times now. It's always nice coming here and this location has the iconic Westville decor, with a vibe that takes you away from the hubbub of the city. Getting the market plate is always a good strategy for sneaking in some veggies into your day. I love that the veggies are not boring and are always well done for a satisfying meal. Be sure to make reservations since it can get pretty busy on weekends here. The tables can be tiny and they don't all have hooks on them. That being said, my visits here are always pleasant. Oof westville - we've been to your other spots and never had a bad time like this. We came in on a week night, no reservation, there were plenty of tables available. We were sat immediately and ordered within 5 minutes of sitting down, the ambiance was good. The chairs are extremely uncomfortable, just that alone would deter me from coming back. We then waited, and I emphasize, 48 minutes until we were able to flag down anyone to ask where our food was. We got a burger and the grilled chicken market item. Overall it took around ~55 minutes for our food to come out. The staff told us they had gotten slammed with delivery orders and attempted to remedy it with a cookie. Unfortunately we came to westville for a healthy dinner, so we gave the cookie away. -3 stars for the extremely long wait, lack of service and uncomfortable chairs Very disappointed with westville on the UWS, would recommend you lower your expectations if you've been to others in the city. read more

When you order a salad online, this is the size of the dressing it comes with. It's absolutely ridiculous and barely covers a leaf. They used to give a normal sized dressing and then downsized for some reason. The salad is damn good but the pinch of dressing kills it. I used to order this multiple times a week but sadly have to stop now and it kills me. FWIW I also ask in notes for extra dressing and they just ignore it :( read more

Awful. I been to the Hudson location a zillion times and love it. But whatever you think of other Westvilles, the UWS ain't. The inside design looks like they just gave up and scattered some left over tables. No vibe. Zero. The food tasted like it was made downtown and microwaved on the way out of the kitchen. I had a Market Plate, with my choice of 3 sides. Everything was delicious: fresh, well seasoned, and reasonably priced. There were 17 different sides to choose from and was told they rotate seasonally. I will probably order a Market Plate every time I go back, and I will definitely go back soon. I've been going to the West Village and East Village locations for years and was super excited when this location opened up. My husband and I went for dinner last night. I made a reservation but when we arrived the bar was open so we opted for seats there. Food was great. Service was wonderful. I'm excited to have this as a reliable option for dinner on any given night. Hats off to the team, opening a new restaurant in this climate cannot be easy. Quick edit: The only other feedback I would add is that the overall ambiance could maybe be thought over a bit more. The lighting was maybe a little much for dinnertime. read more

Great addition to the UWS! If you are looking for a restaurant that serves healthy, creative meals at a fair price, then Westville is the place to go. I've been there twice in the last week, once for brunch and once for dinner. Both meals were terrific. On both occasions my friends and I shared so we could taste various selections and all was great. For breakfast both avocado toast and mushroom toast were yummy. Each came with a side salad. Our recent dinner - a perfectly cooked turkey burger and the market plate - a selection of four freshly cooked vegetables. We chose beets with goat cheese and walnuts, cauliflower with Parmesan, grilled asparagus and roasted carrots. Can't wait to return. Westville is my new neighborhood "go to". read more

When we requested to talk to the person in charged, he insisted that we will pay for this dis (this was our tip for the server). WOW this new place has a good reputation, so today we tried it. Tried the grilled salmon it had no taste. The garlic potatoes were very good and so were the string beans. The cauliflower were OK and so were the Brussels sprouts. All the food was room temperature! Might go back to try something else. read more
