You gotta love a business with a good sense of humor. After taking your first few sips of coffee from this small shop (located inside the Stein's Market and Deli), you'll definitely be thinking this coffee is anything but "whatever". I had a cold brew, which was rich, smooth and full of delicious "coffee" flavor (yet not at all bitter....as a cold brew SHOULD be). Again, the shop is super small, taking up a small corner, but the working the the shop is BIG on coffee. He was pretty friendly and willing to chat about all things coffee...so much so, he caught himself then apologized for chatting too much (I really didn't mind). So yeah, stop in, get some coffee, or...whatever.

Whatever you do, be sure to stop by this cool coffee stand inside of Stein's Deli. Don't be fooled by the small size of this place, however, as they can make just about whatever you could possible want (espresso, lattes, coffee, etc.). I didn't test them, but I have no doubt that they will do whatever it takes to make your drink exactly how you like it. You can get whatever floats your boat, but their espresso is very good and is served in the coolest glasses. I usually just stop and get whatever is easiest on my way out the door, but I would definitely recommend stopping by this hidden gem of a coffee shop if you're in the area. They will have whatever you need to get you through your day!

Don't miss it. Pay attention or you will. Quick, no frills, smoothest espresso and a tight mellow milk top to the cappuccino.

Great coffee and great baristas! I tried several different lattes and the chai and they were all amazing!

I got a coffee there this morning and it tasted off. I swirled the cup and noticed the milk was chunky! They used rotten milk :(

We went all in: shrimp and grits that were downright phenomenal (I'm still thinking about them), a goat cheese omelette that was so good it made me question all my past breakfast decisions, and pancakes with berries that tasted like they were made by someone who genuinely cares about your happiness. The coffee? Strong enough to fix your life. The service? Warm, attentive, and somehow psychic--they just knew when we needed refills or another mimosa (which, for the record, felt less like a drink and more like a lifestyle choice). Honestly, this place doesn't just serve breakfast--it gives you a reason to get out of bed. 10/10 would wake up early again... and I do not say that lightly.

Still a New Orleans Gem - Visitor since 2018!…read more I'm updating my review as of April 2026 because it's important for visitors to know that The Vintage has absolutely "still got it." My last review was in 2020, and I'm happy to report that the quality and atmosphere remain top notch. Whether you are looking for a morning pick up or an evening wind-down, this spot covers all the bases. Their beignets and coffee are a classic must have, and I can personally vouch for their Americano. It is consistently well made and delicious. They also have a great selection of beer and cocktails if you're looking for something a bit stronger. What really sets this place apart, though, is the hospitality. We have always had great interactions with the staff, but a special shout out goes to Jimmy, whom we met this past week. He was incredibly kind and hospitable, truly making us feel right at home. Jimmy if you are reading this, THANK YOU!! If you want a spot that feels authentic, welcoming, and consistently excellent, put The Vintage at the top of your list!

The menu has many choices. I ordered the firecracker shrimp with side arugula salad. The shrimp was yummy the salad too but expected more on the salad maybe cucumber or tomatoes over all for just having cheese on Arugula with dressing was ok. I paired it with the shrimp and it was tasty! According to the hop on/off bus the beignets & champagne are the hit at this cafe. The bartender made a wonderful cocktail with champagne & it was delicious! The spot is dog friendly & in a cute little restaurant/bar row & shops area.

First off, that honey butta hot chicken sandwich is so delicious. The spice and sweet and the butta is so rich and leaves a long lasting impression. That is the bite you'll be thinking about and returning for. But don't sleep on the donuts either! Normally I'm not huge on donuts but that lil peanut butta cup donut with the whipped peanut mouse and chocolate ganache...yeah ima need that. It's perfectly balanced with the bitter chocolate ganache, and the light mouse. Obviously, after you're eating all this, you're gonna need something to wash it down. They have an excellent selection of coffee and teas, I enjoyed their chai latte, which wasn't too sweet for my pallet. After I thought I couldn't eat anymore, the chicory ice cream spoke to me so I had to answer. Stopping here made for a perfect day of indulgence than walking up and down magazine Street and shopping. The staff here is so nice too! They let us come hang out back here after we were done shopping and needed to rest for a bit. Which was nice because this place has a decent amount of seating and a little patio in the back and some seats out front. I would absolutely recommend this place to anybody. Who's in town in New Orleans!
