So like many people, we took advantage of the half-price Wednesday special. While the pizza at When Pigs Fly is definitely artisan pizza and made with the best ingredients, they are still a bit pricey for this area. So the Wednesday special is an excellent opportunity to try different things which will enable you to identify your favorite. Even though there is no way we could even finish one of the pizzas, we opted to order two with the thought that leftovers would make great lunches for the rest of the week. Probably an error on my part, but I ordered the Buffalo chicken tenders as an appetizer rather than going for the standard Buffalo wings. Don't get me wrong, they were good. The flavor of the sauce was nice but the chicken tenders lacked crispiness and the texture of a well done wing. They were solid, but nothing extraordinary. I also ordered my standard sausage and hot cherry pepper pizza. The star of the show is, as expected, the crust. WPF is a bakery first after all. Overall the pizza was outstanding with the notable exception of the sausage. Again, it was good, but it lacked the seasoning to make it memorable. The cherry peppers were very sparsely populated on my pizza and had minimal impact. Overall I was underwhelmed by this pizza, even though I can't specifically say there was anything wrong with it. Conversely, the buffalo chicken pizza far exceeded my expectations. I normally do not even like these types of pizzas, however with the added blue cheese left over from our tenders, this pizza was outstanding. The chicken was perfectly cooked and had a great amount of flavor. Additionally there was just the right amount of buffalo sauce providing a really balanced slice. This was really a pleasant surprise. If I were grading alone on this pizza my rating would be a five. Overall it was a very solid meal. Though I have had better from this restaurant but that may have been due to the fact that the restaurant was extremely busy. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone as it is still one of, if not the best pizza in the New Hampshire / Maine seacoast. read more

Went there with a couple of my teen and adult children this past weekend on our way up north. The place has a nice vibe, is large and clean. We were seated quickly. The Mac and cheese was great, the bbq chicken pizza very good but the chicken fingers were very dry. The waitress was friendly but didn't come back to ask how our meal was and we had to chase her down for the bill. I would definitely go back to try more items as the menu had several things that looked great. read more

This place was outstanding! Couldn't decide between the chicken sandwich or the meatball grilled cheese, so we had both and shared them. Both were delicious as were the fries. We have visited the company store numerous times and always been pleased, but we usually drive into Ogunquit for pizza. Tonight was our first time here, and we did takeout,and it did not disappoint. We called ahead while we were having a beer at Definitive , and they told us the pizza would be ready at 5:30. Drove down to get it, and while we were a few minutes early, we only had to wait about a minute until it came out as ready. Got it home, and wow! We got the medjool date and soppressata pizza and the BCBR which was a Buffalo chicken ranch pizza without the red sauce. Both were fantastic. Crust was delicious and the toppings were flavorful. We will definitely return here at some point again for pizza. Everyone we interacted with on the phone and in the restaurant was super friendly and it was extremely hectic for a Monday night in a vacation town. read more

I would say without hesitation that this is where you can come as a young couple for "date night" as well. Both the service and food exceeded our expectations. Everything is good- limited menu options and really the thing here is pizza. Had the turkey blt- for $16 just for the sandwich was disappointed it was deli turkey. Lunch started out with the endearing Abbie!!! She's a fabulous hostess and we knew we were in a great restaurant l:). We had sticky ribs for an app. We had Kate as our awesome server. We ordered the fried chicken sandwich w/french fries (cut from potato in curled chunks) and the turkey Blt with cranberry bread and side salad. Pizza recipes looked enticing. Pies are huge and service excellent. Noise level very high. Unfortunately our spinach artichoke pizza had poorly cooked crust--soggy and undercooked on the bottom, like it had sat around a while before being cooked. The garlic drizzle on top was way too garlicky--and I am a person who uses garlic in most of my cooking--otherwise the pie was pretty flavorless. Artichokes were elusive. Would not choose to go there again. The bakery has changed too--most breads are now presliced, wrapped in plastic, and the gorgeous cranberry walnut orange no longer has walnuts and is much drier. There was even a problem with my pizza (I didnt realize it had mayp - Im allergic) and they swapped out no issues, They prob hated me for it, but they didnt act as if I was a bother! Went for the bread, was wowed by the dinner! The bread store closes at 7pm so we stopped there first before eating. Bought some chocolate bread!!! Outdoor seating for the restaurant (indoor also available). I had the BLT - the cranberry bread was delicious! I highly recommend this sandwich. The server said it was her favorite and that a lot of people order so I went with the crowd and loved it. My friend got the salmon burger - she said it definitely deserved 5 stars! The food at this place was incredible. Stopped here for dinner on our first night of vacation. It was clear that this restaurant had a detailed Covid-19 plan and that they were following it. Patrons were separated by at least one table and the seating was ample - so ample, in fact, that after our hostess directed us to our table, our waitress forgot that we were in her section. We sat outside, serving as both an appetizer and main course for the mosquitoes, for a little over 15 minutes and then I made eye contact with our waitress, waved politely at her, she waved back, and not one minute later did a polite young man come wait on us. "She forgot about us, didn't she?" "Yes she did, and she is embarrassed and does want to come over here so she sent me" "Ok here's our full order..." From that moment on everything was great. We ordered the crispy brussel sprouts, the Greek salad, the BCBR (Buffalo Chicken Bacon Ranch for the uninitiated) and I had the peach ginger whiskey sour and my girlfriend had the strawberry mojito. The food was SO good. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. The flavor on the sprouts was out of this world, the sesame dressing was great, as was the dressing that accompanied the salad. Our waiter checked in a few times, was great about bringing us our second round of drinks and did a tremendous job overall. My only gripe is that we spent about 10 minutes waiting for him to drop the check off after we finished eating. Normally, not a problem, particularly at the end of a meal, however, the mosquitoes were out in force and now we were their dessert! Aside from a 15 minute wait once we were seated to see a menu, and another 10 minutes at the end of the meal while we waited for a check, everything was perfect. read more

Located just a few minutes from the outlets, When Pigs Fly was allocated in a convenient spot and far off enough to be a change in scenery. We got a a Margarita pizza (which was delicious ) and emjoued in their open field put front. They are super dog friendly! Our pizza was ready in about 10 Minutes on a busy Sunday of Labor weekend at 1 PM. The bread store next to the pizzeria was also great, carrying different types of loaves that aren't usually in stores. I'll definitely be stopping by for dine I when I'm in the area again! read more

The only positive thing I can say was portion size. You gave me a good portion of string fries that I couldn't enjoy. Thanks? McDonald makes better fries than you. 0 out of 10. Falafel was dry and pita bread was small....size of a soft taco bread, but it was tough and hard. I had to eat it with a knife and fork. I had better Falafel from a food truck (Falafel King) at Wrentham Mall. 2 put of 10. The Tuna sandwich perhaps was the only thing that was "considered" edibles. 4 out of 10. Service was decen. (7 out of 10) $45 bucks later and I could have had a better meal at BK or McD. Like I said, when a pig can really fly, I will return and give you another shot! read more

Went there expecting a great experience because I heard this place was excellent. My husband and I ordered and appetizer wings, Capricola pineapple pizza and the steak special. We order it took a little while for waitress to come. Which I understand I am a chef so I get it. Put order in. And hour later I asked about our app which the waitress had forgot. She then said was your order capricola pizza and steak? I was like yes. She like oh yes I put it in. It came out 20 mins later and the pizza was cooked on top not the bottom and the toppings were cold. My steak was cold and fries and what a disgrace the chimmichurri sauce was. It was so disappointed. And the waitress didn't even ask if it was ok cause she knew. We Quickly paid and left. Even though I should of never paid for that meal. I support local business but unfortunately will never return there. read more
