Came here for dinner on a Saturday night, there was no wait which was nice. The atmosphere is great, we had a table with a river view. The cornbread was very good. I had the walleye and my fiance had the salmon. My walleye was very tender and light. No fishy aftertaste at all. Fries are about average. He had the salmon. It was good but a little dry. Broccoli was very good. The service was about average. No major complaints. I'd come back here again. read more

The food here is lacklustre to say the least and our middle aged female server was as well. When we asked about mixed drinks, she had clue what to tell us (no training re what goes into them?) and didn't care anyway, and when we asked if the fish was local, she said no and that frozen fish is just as good anyway. There is no energy at this restaurant and it feels dead. We did think the decor was unique, but the service and food just doesn't match up to it. Others say the food is overpriced. We agree due to what you get, or should I say don't get! Disappointing. We don't recommend it. read more

This restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere, good food and is (was) one of our favorite places to eat in Branson. We live here about 50% of the time so have been here often. Until today... It's a shame when one employee ruins a businesses reputation, but that's what happened here today. The hostess was an absolutely horrid person to deal with. The management here needs to be more present, and perhaps try to hire a hostess with a personality, and some BASIC UNDERSTANDING of customer service. Walking into the restaurant, we saw at least a dozen empty tables, and while walking to the restaurant, saw that most of their outside seating was open. I asked for a table for two, and requested to sit outside. The hostess never even made eye contact with me, obviously I meant less to her than the dog excrement she must have stepped in (given the sour look on her face). She just said "30 minutes, what's your cell number" while another employee had been picking up menus to seat us. I said there were empty tables all over the place, and all the outside tables are empty. That's when I got the, most absolutely snotty reply I've ever had from anybody, that "there ARE OTHER tables AHEAD OF YOU, and we have to seat them in order (with an unspoken MORON on her tounge)". The management here needs to understand that they, and the staff they employ only get "one chance to make a LAST impression", and she certainly made a LAST impression. We will most likely never come back, and certainly won't ever recommend it to anyone we know, rather it will be on our "Must Avoid" list for us, family and friends. read more

I will start by saying that this place is in a convenient location, and has a really nice rustic ambiance. They do have a decent menu selection, so there's plenty to choose from. But overall the food was slightly below average. It wasn't "bad" but it wasn't really all that good either. To top it off, the service was pretty well below average. It was about 330 in the afternoon, so maybe they were a little lax in the slow period. But the service was quite slow. So overall it got the job done, but probably wouldn't go back. read more

We were in Branson and craving for seafood, so we checked on Yelp and found The Fish House. It was Monday night, so we didn't have problem getting a table. The restaurant was just next to the lake by Bass Pro shop with nice water view. Restaurant's interior has nice decor as well. Our waitress brought us a complimentary jalapeño corn bread, it was very very good. I could have eaten the whole thing by myself. We ordered clam chowder and salad for appetizer. Clam chowder was very good too, had generous amount of clams in it. My husband had scallop and shrimp pasta and I had blacken catfish ettouffe. The pasta was good, both shrimps and scallops were cooked just right, moist and flavorful. My ettouffe was outstanding (if you like spicy Cajun food)!! My only complaint was they had limited wine selection. We ordered Pinot noir and it was not good. Next time I should try their white wine instead. read more

Zero wait time! We came around 6 o'clock and it was perfect timing not too busy, not too slow. Our appetizers came out quickly and our drinks never got below half. Our waitress, Chasity was super nice and friendly. Our food was good, a couple errors but besides that it was pleasant. The atmosphere was nice and welcoming! If you think the decor in Bass Pro stores is awesome you have to see their restaurant! It is so well done! The staff were great as well. We had lunch on the back deck overlooking the river. They waiter brought out some delicious jalapeno cornbread before our meal. We had beers and sandwiches, all of which was good. We enjoyed tossing french fries to the ducks below. read more

Absolutely fantastic! visited this restaurant twice in one weekend. Best dinner around! And the service was phenomenal both nights! Waitstaff was knowledgeable and the food was delicious. Bloody Mary was really good and so were the alligator tails. The fish and chips didn't have much flavor and were over cooked. The craw fish tails were ok, however the catfish was mushy. Not too bad. The service was good and we were seated immediately. The server was professional and helpful. The cornbread was good, for "sweet cornbread", which is admittedly not my favorite. The trout was well cooked but was spiced and flavored for the "masses," as were the Walleye fish fingers. A little salt and pepper helped everything along but it needed a lil help. Average flavors is the best description. All in all I wouldn't shy away from the place but I wouldn't make it a point to go out of my way to eat there. read more

A great time to come is after 7:30 when the restaurant empties of those heading to shows. We were seated quickly and our server was very attentive and knowledgeable. Huge portions - had the trout almondine and the filet was bigger by far than any trout I have ever been served. The broccoli was steamed perfectly and had not succumbed to the limp status of most restaurant sides. Skipped the rice and subbed the sweet potatoe tots, so good! We ate here while visiting Bass Pro Shop & walking The Landing. We had a 45 min wait at 8pm. The menu is limited due to Covid; if you don't eat fish, your options are few. They serve a skillet of cornbread which looks great but I've had better with more flavor. Our table had catfish dinner, chicken sandwich, tacos, salad with shrimp skewer. The food was average, nothing special. The spinach dip was awful, we didn't even finish it; it was watery instead of cheesy & creamy, had no flavor. I wouldn't care to go back. Try the alligator tail appetizer with the jalapeño cream cheese spread it's super tasty. The Canadian walleye and shrimp and scallop are superb! The wait was long, yet no one was in the restaurant. We order the spinach dip. It came cold and not easy to eat because all the cheese was a cold blob. I order fish & chips which also arrived cold. I couldn't eat the fries & had to take the breading off the fish to be able to eat it. It took so long to get the food that if I had sent it back it would have meant probably another hour wait. We sat down to have dinner and a family of five was next to us, a little noisy so we decided to go to the bar to have a cocktail and told the three hostess we would prefer a little quieter area. Located on the river and great outdoor decor. We ate there two days in a row which pretty much tells you how much we liked it. My favorite was the red fish topped with crab and a Chardonnay cream sauce. The blackened catfish etoufee was excellent. Warm corn bread along with the meal. This restaurant is a place we look forward to every year when we come to Visit my sister for the holidays. It was a very disappointing visit from the actual menu display to the dinner menu corner cutting to the dessert choices. The food was not one i have to go back to ever. Not to mention putting a table of adults next to two tables of families with small children. Nothing is better when your trying to have a nice dinner. This was very disappointing and unfortunate for our visit and this restaurant It was one of the best places in this town but not moving forward. Went here b/c it was close to the shopping. Only one menu, so not an inexpensive place for lunch. Serving warm cornbread was a plus...excellent!!!! Had side salad which was a good size; chopped romaine, small tomatoes, a few sliced onions and some yummy croutons. The spinach dip was good and came w/plenty of warm and soft pita chips. Had a quinoa black bean burger...kinda bland. Overall, a little too pricey at $30 for lunch. Friendly and quick service, though. read more

On a trip to Branson and we wanted to eat on landing. We found White River Fish House. Believe this restaurant is connected to Bass Pro. All decor which I loved was a rustic fish house or shake. Restaurant is floating on two barges. I had walleye he had shrimp pasta. Meal was kind of expensive but roe TJ it. Service great. read more

We were seated promptly outside and were forgotten. After roughly 10 minutes, one of our party got up to hunt down a server. Server arrived seeming angry, took our order, with appetizers and drinks arriving promptly. Bloody Mary and mojito were fine, but not anything special. Appetizers were not hot, warm but ok. Our main meal arrived 40 minutes after ordering. Table next to us went through their appetizers and had received their food prior to ours. Ceaser salad with chicken....chicken was rubbery. Other meals were lukewarm. Blackened Catfish and shrimp were the only stand out for a party of 5. Bill was 180.00, which would have been ok if the meal was worth eating. read more
