This Wienerschnitzel Buggered me!!!! I love Wienerschnitzel! The one on Story Road is by far the best (check out my review for that one). This one is another story. I should begin by saying I am a nanny, and when I am with my two very young children, they go pretty much everywhere I go. Because of this small fact of the matter, it is far easier for me to go through a drive thru with them, than to get all three of us out of the car. Upon arriving at the drive thru today, I ordered three items: 1st. Hot-dog on a stick 2nd. Cherry Lemonade (AMAZING) 3rd. Small Ice Cream Sunday All was fine in the world, until I ordered that Sunday! The woman on the other end of the speaker asked "What type of toping; chocolate, strawberry, hotfa-camel". "Excuse me? Can you please repeat that?" To which I received variations of the same, and equally incomprehensible response again and again, three or four times. Finally I got it! Hot Fudge or Carmel!!! "Oh, Carmel", I said, hoping the woman on the other side of the speaker didn't think I was making fun of her accent. To make a long story short, when I finally got my food; dived into my hot-dog on a stick, and begin scarfing down my lemonade, I looked over at my Sunday to find a huge bugger on the side of it's clear lidded container. Really? How old are we now? I thought that perhaps it was not a bugger as originally perceived, but a drop of oil from all the lard splashing around Der little German inspired building. So... I grabbed a napkin, to remove the blotch of oil or bugger, only to find that it was indeed slippery and smooshy, just like a bugger. Now, I know you might be thinking it was mine or one of the kids, but you are wrong! The kids are far to young to pick their own buggers as of yet, and I am a lady*. That *itch whipped her bugger on my Sunday cap! So, yeah, that was the end of it, and no I did not eat my Sunday. Now, that was a waste of a dollar! I was forced to eat here because the one on elcamino in Santa Clara closed and my daughter really wanted Wienerschintzel. The food here sucks. Mini corn dogs tasted bad I spit it out and told my daughter not to eat them. The fries were very undercooked. Cashiers are very greedy with the ketchup packets they only like to give you 2 at a time. I miss my Wienerschnitzel on elcamino. Now they knew how to do it right everything was always perfect. Wienerschnitzel is a safe haven for induldging any masochistic food tendancies. They dump that runny sauce on everything there. And they say it's chili, but it's really more "chili-ish". If you eat any of their food, prepare for major heartburn. But you will keep going back, again and again. You will yield to the call of their screaming wiener mascot, known only as the Delicious One. An original sloped roof Wienerschnitzel with pass trough drive up window. They have outside seating and a walk up order window at the sidewalk. If you plan to exit the drive up window and head west on Saratoga you may have trouble activating the light. I suggest making a right on Saratoga and then u-turn at the next light. There is one guy here that seems to always be mad. After talking with him many times I realized it isn't anger but rather the way he talks! read more

NO FUCKEN ICE CREAM OR ANY FROZEN TREATS!! The ice cream machine, in which everything frozen deserts are made of. Had been out of order for more that two months already!! Put a FUCKEN sign saying your don't serve any ice cream deserts rather than having me wait in a drive thru for 15 min to order with two children in the back seat crying!! I LOVE this place! I eat here practically every day on my lunch break. They are very friendly and always remember my order "Two chili cheese dog burritos" The one time they forgot my side of fries they had no problem giving making it right the next time I went there. A+ read more

I grew up "der Wienerschnitzel" in SoCal. As a kid, it was my favorite place. Way, way above going to McDonald's or any other fast food joint. My order is pretty much always the same - corn dog, plain hot dog, fries and a Mountain Dew. I don't eat fast food often anymore - rarely, in fact. But Wiener makes a good Schnitzel and I will gladly revisit again. Service here sucks. read more

when i crave for chili cheese fries, i know exactly where i'm going .. this location is really close to my work so it works out for me. every time i've come here for lunch there are no lines at the window but a super long line at the drive thru. i am always greeted with a smile here which is always nice. the food always comes out piping hot but it is a long wait while the food is being made. but that is something i'm not going to complain about ... who doesn't want food made to order? if you don't want hot fresh food, do not come here. read more

Man, the schnitz is rough. You have to love that you can get any combination of 5 corn dogs or chili dogs for $5.95. The quality? Mediocre at best. But I'd be lying if I said it wasn't a tasty guilty pleasure of mine. It's fun to go with friends and joke about how you'll all pay for it later. Bottom line: it's tasty and cheap, but you'll quickly learn that the Schnitz always gets its revenge. read more

This is a review based on customer service we experienced tonight. My boyfriend asked for #1. Then he ordered 2 chili dogs add bacon. The older hispanic woman told him to wait. She said she was ready so he said the order again. The woman then tells him to stop! Like she straight yelled at him. The way your mother would yell at you when she is frustrated. We both were shocked. She then sounded super mean and annoyed with my boyfriends order. He asked her if she got everything right as he repeated the order to her. After each item she grunted. We paid and left. When we got home our order was a complete mess. It seriously looked like someone sat on our bag of food. Ugh. Just horrible! read more

Only went here as we had a buy one get one free Chicago dog coupon. The flier made it look so good that we just had to go here. I think it's only been my second time going to a Wiernerschnitzel in my life! My husband and I each used a coupon and ordered a side of fries. The Chicago dog came with all the toppings, but the dog was fat! I remember the actual Chicago dogs were skinny. The pepper on there was so spicy that we ended up picking it out on the others. It took awhile for the spice to leave my mouth! Overall, it was okay, but don't get too excited as it's not a Chicago dog for sure....only a slight resemblance. I was full off of one, that I didn't need an extra one. While sitting outside eating, I was surprised to see how many people came here especially through the drive-thru. The polish sandwich was a big disappointment, white bread instead of rye and no Swiss cheese.

Love Weinerschnitzel's but unfortunately this location apparently does not use food gloves to prepare their food. Eat with caution.

I find myself at this location because the El Camino location has closed. This was going to be one star simply for the fact that I ordered two items from a bad drive-thru PA, and when I returned home the bag contained someone else's order. Worst of all... the item I was craving was missing. Not a happy camper. Upon returning the cashier greeted me, told me they had realized their mistake, and was ready with the correct order... Not only telling me to keep the first order, but asking if I'd like a free soda for having to come back. Now there's something to be said for good customer service, especially when it's correcting a mistake on the part of the establishment. Would I have preferred they got it right the first time? Yes. Am I satisfied with their resolution? Yes. As for getting in and out, they lose a star. The primary drive-thru entrance backs up onto Saratoga and the exit is perilous at best. Don't even try the other entrance unless you want to park. Great location, but horrible " I hope you have insurance" vehicular accessibility. My wife asked for a plain polish sandwich, they have her one with everything on it. She went back, told them again she wanted a plain polish sandwich. She came back to cat and handed me her sandwich, and it was just 2 slices of bread. I was like you got to be kidding me. I want back and told them this is missing the polish . I had a horrific experience at this location. A gentleman took my order and messed it up. I informed him of my order once again and completely ignored me. I said Hello a numerous times until an apparent frustrated woman took over for him. I once again said hello and I repeated my order for the 4th time now. She cut me off snd demanded I drive up to the window. I observed 3 woman and a man thru the drive thru window, who all rolled their eyes and appeared all to be in a bad mood. Me and my childhood buddy used to frequent this specific Wienerschnitzel quite a bit when we were younger. I mean being fast food there is only so much to judge when it comes to service. If it's fast and hot, then there's no problem and usually there is never a problem with that. To me the star of Wienerschnitzel is their corn dogs. Golden brown and piping hot on the inside, dip it in mustard and it's a winner. Add to that their chili fries and "oh yeah!" Having lived in several different places where outdoor seating isn't something you want to do, this location is nice because it's fairly temperate in the South Bay. There isn't that much traffic (compared to being along Steven's Creek Blvd.) so you can take your time and have a leisurely and comforting meal. read more

The absolute worst customer service I've ever had. Firstly the and professional guy working at the counter did not take my order down correctly and my order was completely different when they tried to give it to me. Then I pointed out that I had the wrong order and the guy tries to tell me that that's what I ordered. He then just shrugged his shoulders and looks at me and goes what you want me to do? So I said fix it and he has the audacity to re ring the order and asked me for another 87 cents which I thought was pathetic. In addition I watched the same guy take an order for a guy who just was trying to order a regular all beef hot dog with mustard and onions and amazingly I can remember that guy's order but this stupid kid could not remember that guy's order he had asked him about 5 times. Been here a few times already and they always are spot on with the chili cheese dogs...man...no joke! Today I ordered two of them plus a corn dog and a 3 pk of jalapeno poppers (I was a little hungry!) and it was all done within 5 minutes of waiting outside. They have yet to disappoint. WARNING Please check your food before you eat. I ordered a Polish and a good dog last week at this place, at the second bite of my sandwich, I found a long strand of hair. After spending half the night throwing up, finally felt better but I don't think I can ever eat a hot dog again even if I do it would definitely not be at any Weiner schnitzel. Welcome to the twilight zone of restaurants. I've been coming to DW since the chilidogs w/ onions only cost .19. They were filling and cheap and satisfied the loadie I used to be. The fries are the greasiest most god-awful creation I've ever run across - but the onions are fresh and crispy and the quality is consistent (unfortunatly). These days I limit my visits to onece every two years but I can't break the DW chili dog w/onion addiction.. Oh well. read more

Wow - so overpriced for what you get.. Got two hot dogs and two drinks and came to almost $12! My works hot dog mess fell apart halfway through as well. And they list multiple hot dogs varieties but the bare bones menu over the order menu doesn't even tell you what's on each- except for the WORKS Hot Dog which they list only having Mustard, Pickles and tomatoes - when it actually has chili & cheese too.. My recommendation is to just go to Costco if you want a hot dog - - they're twice as big, taste better and come with a drink for 75% less $$$ read more

This was my first time at a Wiener schnitzel, and I've passed by this one a while now, being born and raised in this area. I came around 11:20 pm before closing. The woman was nice at the place where I ordered but when I gave her my card and it didn't have a chip she asked me "are you joking" in a mean tone. I told her other restaraunts INCLUDING the one I work at accept cards without chips because you can slide em. They work at other fast food establishments as well..she walked away with my credit card (different card) while saying no and walked away disrespectfully and seemed angry, I don't know why. She told me my card declined and seemed even more angry.. I'm a server so I know how customer service should be, and especially if cards don't work, this is not how you approach a customer. She was saying "give me my soda back" as i was reaching for it to give it to her back..I felt bad cause they made the food so I told her I would come back with cash, which she didn't acknowledge.. when she came back to the window she said "you're still here? I have customers please move" I waited in the parking lot to see if I could get my credit card to not decline these charges but luckily found cash in my wallet.. I went back, she made my food after a quick look that I had money... the food was okay the service was terrible. I was going to tell her how rude she was but I didn't want spit in my food lol.. I think she was the head person there as well, all other workers seemed nice. Never coming here again though! First off I will say I am not a fan of Wienerschnitzel but my wife loves it. I will say I do love there corn dogs though. So when I ordered the thousand island fries to try and then when asked if I wanted anything else I said two corn dogs and once again asked if there was anything else. I said no that is all thank you. Handed over my card and then was given my card back without a receipt, I just thought ok maybe they will just put it in the bag. When my order was done I looked in the bag and there was no receipt and no corndogs. When asked about the corn dogs they had a discussion and as we were waiting some more the lady was like "oh she didn't charge you for them". And she just looked as like it was ok. I was taken back and looked at her and then was like oh ok. Then as we were walking away she was like did you want order some to my wife. We just left and took the rest of our order. I can't even tell if they charged us because again they never gave me a receipt. Got home and my wife was eating and another disappointment and kind of gross thing was brought to our attention, there was hair in her fries. I will not be going back to this store front. read more
