My mother and I stumbled upon Wild on a Saturday afternoon. We were starving so we were excited to get some good food and drinks (I was especially excited about the gluten free pizza!) I should have seen the warning signs : the Resturant was dead even the staff wasn't out and about, but the reviews were all great and pictures made me even hungrier so we stayed. We ordered 2 red sangria's, Pasta alla Vodka Sauce, and a personal sized Mediterranean Pizza. We were literally the only two in people sitting in the Resturant and our drinks didn't arrive until after our food was served. We had to remind the waiter of our drink order. The pasta was good, but nothing to brag about and the mediterranean pizza felt like it came out of the frozen food isle. It just didn't do anything for me. In need of dental work? I have found you the right place. Don't use ur insurance to have your teeth pulled just bite into their rock hard pasta that they claim to have homemade and you'll be lucky if you don't lose at least 3 of them. I genuinely feel sorry for the cook who made the butternut squash soup because if you ever wanted to know what ass tastes like, be sure to add this to your order. Nothing but a murky soup that resembles week old squash with no flavor whatsoever. The only saving grace to help me get through this disgusting meal from both the soup, pasta, and salmon was the mashed potatoes and water. The chicken was as dry as the Sahara desert and very chewy. I wouldn't even feed it to a starving dog on the street. At that point the dog is better off dead than inhumanly eating the chicken. Overall, this place is terrible. I've ordered takeout from here and thought maybe it just didn't travel well but ate here over the weekend and just can't recommend. Since I have a family member who has celiac disease, I've been eating gluten free for more than a decade. I know not everything can be made to taste non gluten free, but something like pancakes have come a long way. The pancakes here were really disappointing. My mom ended up taking the gluten free bread off her eggs Benedict. We are pretty sure they used Udis bread. It's unfortunate since we really wanted to love this place but for the price, you can make better gluten free food at home. read more

Wow! This place was simply excellent. The service was stellar and the food was delicious. They allowed me to sub a piece of chicken for my burger as I am not eating red meat (which is always appreciated because some restaurants are weird about substitutions). The bun for the "burger" was simply amazing, it's always a treat when I get to have a sandwich since being gluten free and this bun did not disappoint. The chipotle sauce not only had a kick, but was so flavorful you could taste the different peppers in it. The ravioli was something else - ravioli is my favorite food and this was made just so well. Will definitely be coming back next time I'm in NY. Thank you to the staff at WILD! Note: the entire menu is GF and there a ton of different options you can't get at most places. read more

Horrible food and service! The bruschetta is served on a cheap deli roll. We also ordered the meatballs which were just okay, but the bread that came with it, omg, 2 slices of white cheap loaf bread cut in half and they had the audacity to charge $3 for it. They claim that they serve homemade pasta but honestly Trader Joe's pasta taste far better. Not to mention how they redefined al-dente, ha, it was more like al-concrete. The service here was not very good. The food was though. We were sat outside and chose a table that sat four as a party of two. There was another set of two tables that could easily seat four people, and also another table that was set for four people. However when a party of three came up they made us move. I would understand if there was no other option but there was two other options (which did not get used our whole time there). And there was a table of about 8 people behind us who had to ask about when their food would come out several times, and I also observed another person asking about their food because they had been waiting. The food was good, we got the pancakes and Norwegian eggs Benedict. Obviously a bit pricey but it's the west village. As someone who works a customer facing service job, these waiters/hosts need more customer service training. I still left 20% tip so don't think I'm some Karen lol. read more

I ordered through Uber Eats so I cannot comment on service or ambience. The garlic shrimp pizza was tasty and the iced tea was good. on the other hand, the almond chocolate torte was terrible. Essentially a dry brownie topped with stale chopped nuts and off-flavored chocolate syrup. Really disappointing, though, was the Diet Coke. Delivered to my hotel room in a tiny 8 oz bottle with a cap that requires a bottle opener. Next time I travel out of town, I'll have to remember my bottle opener - at least if I order from Wild again! read more

I'm celiac so this place has become a regular spot for me. I've taken all of my friends and family here and everyone has loved it! The ambiance is always wonderful and the service is amazing. After being seated by the friendly hostess, we just sat there without being acknowledged. Someone got up and delivered their credit card to pay...so they were probably being underserved also. This spot is super cute, I was very happy we had a reservation because it was busier than i expected. The food was good, I recently had to transition to a low FODmap diet and eating out has become very difficult. This spot is entirely gluten free which is huge and they have vegan options. It was nice to have the staff be accommodating and willing to help. It also was one of the few times since starting the diet that I finally had a real satisfying meal. I happened to stumble upon WILD while walking down the streets of the West Village - needless to say, it was a wonderful surprise! As someone with Celiac Disease, I was grateful to find that the ENTIRE menu is 100% gluten-free! Such a rarity these days particularly in a city like NYC. I enjoyed a spinach & ricotta ravioli (AMAZING) and was even gifted a tiramisu cake on the house to help my long commute back to New Jersey. The mozzarella sticks were the perfect consistency that the person I was dining with was shocked when I told them the restaurant is entirely gluten-free. I had the butternut squash ravioli, which was fairly good albeit pretty bland. Wild makes up for it with their burger. My chief complaint is the waiting time -- we dined outside on Saturday evening and waited about 50 minutes before our appetizer came out, and then another 20 or so for our entree to arrive. We ordered the bruschetta and what came was a dinner roll cut in what appeared to be a half. It was covered in mushy tomatoes and some sort of sauce, the combination tasted like sweet feet. Our pizza which cost 29$ was a flat bread that had a pound of arugula and two pieces of meat on it. This place does not make anything from scratch and what a disappointment to be charged for a flat bread. I wouldn't even call it pizza, call it what it is. Flatbread 4 inch with toppings. Just weird. I feel like this restaurant doesn't know what it wants to be and the food isn't great (and yes... I am aware that it's gf). The menu items range from mozzarella sticks to nachos to a quinoa bowl to a large selection of pizza and pastas... including zucchini noodles. We started with the mozzarella sticks which we loved.. but it's not like you can fuck up mozz sticks. We then ordered the garganelli alla vodka and the local mozzarella pizza. The pasta was over cooked and lacked flavor. The pizza crust was awful -- the consistency was so strange and the sauce also lacked flavor. Unfortunate! read more

There was definitely something left to be desired with Wild. They're 100% gluten-free which is amazing - but their food is a bit lackluster - even a little bland. And it is a bit on the expensive side. Their mozzarella sticks were delicious, their butternut squash ravioli is some of the best GF ravioli I've ever had. But their avocado pizza was not "amazing" the crust was pretty mediocre and overall it is not worth $20+ They did forget a couple components of our food, like the added chicken to the ravioli. And we only saw our waiter twice. Once to take our order and once to bring us our check, so I wouldn't put service at the top of "things Wild does well." They're not terrible, so I would come here again if someone wanted to do dinner, brunch, etc. At this place. But I don't think I would willingly suggest this place on my own. read more

Not worth it. Came in with friends starving and excited to get lunch. Place looked promising, but tbh not great. They tried to put as many tables as possible in the place and there wasn't any space or privacy and hard to move around. We quickly placed our order to eat as soon as possible. Time passed by and the food was nowhere to be seen. Every time the waitress came out of the kitchen, my eyes would light up and then sadness came. We waited about 45 minutes for the food. we asked the waitress and then she told us that they were understaffed in the kitchen... i wouldn't have minded IF we would've gotten a heads up. Great food but poor service. I came to dine alone and the restaurant was pretty quiet. I ordered my dinner and went to the restroom, when I came back my dinner was waiting for me. It felt a bit odd that they left it sitting rather than waiting a few minutes until I returned, but I looked at it as quick service. Nobody came to check on me during the entire meal. It took about 15 minutes to flag down anyone to get the check despite the restaurant being so quiet. The pasta was great however the whole experience was lackluster lacking even a basic greeting and introduction from a server. I felt like a huge inconvenience and nuisance to the staff. read more

Wild is great because everything is gluten free and many items are dairy free. Therefore you can eat there with any or your friends and whatever there dietary restrictions are. The restaurant is open and in a quiet spot. We sat inside but still got to enjoy the beautiful breeze from outside. My group was not rushed to finish dinner and it was so nice to have a restaurant that we were able to sit at and talk. We ordered the bruschetta trio to start and everything was very fresh. I had the truffle mushroom pasta. It was a nice portion and I enjoyed it, but I would be interested in trying something else next time I dine at Wild. Dessert was incredible! Wild continues to surprise me with their ability to create gluten-free meals that aren't lacking whatsoever and prove that gluten-free food can and should be enjoyed by everyone. I personally can eat gluten but have come here a few times with gluten-free friends because the ease of being able to eat everything on the menu is truly remarkable. All of their pastas are delicious and don't have the texture that a lot of gluten-free pastas do (my favorite is the Garganelli Alla Vodka). Similarly, the English muffins in the Eggs Benedict and the breadcrumbs on the Chicken parmigiana somehow have the texture of breads that contain gluten. read more

The only thing I ordered was a cappuccino and only a few people ordered food at our table. We were almost all coffees. My cappuccino did not come for thirty minutes. I tried to cancel it but the waiter said it was on its way. I got up to used the restroom and the waiter asked me what kind of milk I wanted. The cappuccino had not been started! This review is purely a reflection of the service. Maybe they had an off day? There were only two servers and I could not see how many were in the kitchen.
