OMG! If I could have split a meal, this would be it! With meatloaf as big as your head and homemade dessert, COME HUNGRY! My friend had pistachio chicken and it also was tasty! Finish with vanilla ice cream. Deeeelicious! Such a relaxed atmosphere, it was easy to enjoy a long dining experience. Kristy was attentive and friendly! She was ON IT and made it great!

Stopped by Wild Thyme Café for a quick lunch after kayaking the Colorado River, and it ended up being one of the best meals of the trip. Food: I ordered the elk burger with smoked Gouda, house burger sauce, and sage butter smashed potatoes -- and it absolutely blew my mind how good everything was. The flavors were rich and perfectly balanced, and the potatoes were some of the best I've ever had. It was the kind of meal that completely hits the spot after a long morning outdoors. Service: Our waitress, Marsha, was absolutely outstanding. She was warm, attentive, and made us feel instantly welcome, going above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. Aesthetic: The café has a cozy little dining area with a comfortable, relaxed vibe. I didn't get to see much of the rest of the place, but it felt inviting and genuine. It's a perfect small-town gem.

What a wonderful way to end the first day of our Road Trip from AZ to Big Sky, MT! Tavez was our server and deserves AT LEAST 10 stars! He quickly picked up on our vibe and interacted perfectly with us all night. We are are trio: me, hubby and MIL. We enjoyed cocktails to start the night and Tavez quickly explained UT pour laws (1.5 oz...WTH??) but appreciated the heads up. Tavez was great to explain the menu and offer suggestions. Two of us ordered the Pistachio Chicken and I had the Trout. Both dishes were amazing! And everything else we saw come out of the kitchen looked just as tasty. We ended the night with Caramel Cheesecake (another suggestion from Tavez - along with Key Lime Pie but we'll have to try that next time!) and it was delicious! MIL was only going to have one bite but we ended up sharing it three ways 'cuz it was that good! Great place! Highly recommend and ask for Tavez...he really elevated our experience!

The prices are WAY too high for the food you actually receive. I was super disappointed with the shrimp pasta. It was dry and when I asked for butter the server told me they don't use real butter and brought me a cup of melted margarine. It was disgusting. She was nice but REALLY? . The meatloaf was weird. The sauce was overwhelming and not a compliment to the dish. Perhaps get it on the side. Timing was also terrible. We ordered a soup and a salad which we were enjoying but the entre came out immediately so we had to move on. Not sure if they were just trying to flip the tables, but we felt horribly rushed. When the server took my not eaten pasta away, I told her about how disappointing it was. ZERO care. She brought the check and we were rushed out. I probably had too high of expectations but for those prices.. it SHOULD have been memorable. I'd say go elsewhere..

Not sure how anyone could rate Wild Thyme anything but 5 stars...6 if Yelp would allow it. The setting is one of the most tranquil ever. Service was excellent--friendly, attentive, with great recommendations. The food is better than most places in the Beehive State. A little pricey, but worth every penny. If you're passing through Zion National Park, this is a must do.

Our server was nice but I don't think I would go back. We spent about $30 on this plate.... No drinks... just this angel hair pasta.... It was way over garlicky... I couldn't even taste the butter or cheese.

Stopped in for lunch on the recommendation from the folks at the front desk of the local Marriott. This place didn't disappoint. My server was a delight and recommended the turkey club with smashed rosemary potatoes (pictured) and the salted caramel cheesecake (too big to be pictured!). Both dishes were delicious. Right off the main drag too so an easy place to stop, lots of families and other travellers doing the same so a nice atmosphere. Would recommend!

Good Grub In Kanab..... We're strangers in town looking for a good place to eat dinner. But where? Positive reviews led us to the Wild Thyme Cafe. - Overall: 4 - Location: 5 - Exterior: 3 - Ambiance: 4 - Menu: 4 - Food Quality: 5 - Food Portion: 4 - Service: 5 - Price and Value: 4 - Parking: 4 - Location: Convenient. In the "downtown" area of Kanab. - Exterior: Kinda cute. - Ambiance: Casual. The type of place which attracts locals and visitors. - Menu: Several choices in every category. Creative versions of typical dishes. - Food: Very good. I started with a House Salad ($8).....small but fresh and tasty. My entree was Wild Thyme Pasta ($24).....a good amount of angel hair pasta with diced vegetables in a light sauce. I always like pasta without the guilt! And it came with 2 slices of better than usual garlic bread! My wife went directly to her main dish of an Impossible Burger ($21). It came with a small House Salad and a large tasty pickle. She really liked it. For dessert, we shared 2 scoops of vanilla Haagen-Dazs ice cream ($7). It capped the meal in a nice way. For drinks, I had a can of EVO Amber Ale ($8). Okay, but I wish it was draft. My wife had a glass of Cupcake Sauvignon Blanc ($7). - Service: Our server, Kelly, was very friendly and helpful. Since a door kept swinging open due to the wind, they kindly moved us to a warmer spot. - Price and Value: No problem. The total before tax and tip was $78. - Parking: Okay on slow nights, but on Saturday we parked a block away. The Wild Thyme Cafe is a solid choice for dinner in Kanab. I'd recommend it.

The food was ok. Nothing special. The prices were really high. We were told we could get the pistachio chicken curry dish for $14 in addition to ordering a salad. That was not the case. For $14 additional dollars they just put the chicken on the salad. You don't get both dishes. It was a disappointing experience My son got the ribs and said they are better at Texas Roadhouse

After a long day hiking in Zion National Park, Wild Thyme Cafe was a nice oasis. We were absolutely starving and halfway through my meal I realized I didn't snap photos of the food, bummer. I had the big sexy burger, which was decent. An average burger that tastes better after a hike. It was accompanied by seasoned potatoes that were good, but not better than a classic French fry. One of my friends ordered the Wild Thyme Pasta and wasn't a fan. Another ordered the fish tacos and was satisfied but not blown away. The last friend ordered Kanab Cowboy ribs and loved them. Fall of the bone juicy. The atmosphere is modern, with a Southwestern flair that give it a unique feel. Service was great and quick, though it was busy, so we waited a bit for a table. Given the dearth of quality around these parts, this place scores higher in my book. I recommend for a post-hike meal when you're in the area.

Wild Thyme provided us with an exceptional dinner experience! The service and food were perfection. I ordered the yellow curry bowl and the flavors were spectacular! One of the best vegan meals I've had in years. They use local ingredients whenever possible and most recipes are made in house. My son and husband also loved their meat based meals. The cheesecake dessert we shared was just as delicious as the meal. We witnessed one lady order three desserts and eat them all because they were that good. The restaurant is intimate so a wait can be expected. There is a nice outdoor seating area, a great option when the weather is permitting. Thank you Wild Thyme for providing an unforgettable dining experience!

Really wanted to like this place because it came recommended. We ordered bowls, one tofu and one pork. They both came swimming in a sauce that overwhelmed all the ingredients. The pork version was better. The meat was cooked pretty well, but dodging the sauce deluge became impossible after a while, it dominated and made the rest of the elements inedible. Latte was as meh too. read more

The cafe is elegant-modern, and the menu is trendy-vegan. I felt a tad under-dressed, and a tad over-carniverous. I tried the Tropical Piggy. The pork was tasty, but I expected a jerk sauce to have some zing -- this was more like a comfort food gravy. The raw spinach leaves and the pineapple slaw were technically perfect, but just didn't grab me. I was most impressed by the novelty of the flavor of the coconut rice. My wife chose the Kanab Cowboy Ribs. Despite the menu's promise of "fall-off-the-bone tender," she found them dry and quite bone-retentive. They were edible enough, but not a delightful culinary experience. We felt the tab was somewhat stiff for the level of enjoyment we got from this meal, and probably wouldn't return on our next visit to Kanab. read more

The server was horrible. Another server started taking our order when she finally arrived. Other servers brought out our food. She seemed overwhelmed and annoyed with serving our ta The quesadilla my son order had sliced cheese- not shredded, that was not melted. Also, the tortillas used were store bought and the size of a taco tortilla, not the size you would make a quesadilla out of. The Alfredo sauce was runny and just okay in flavor. The potatoes were way over seasoned, my pastrami burger was overcooked and everything was way overpriced. I will definitely not go back to this restaurant. read more

I had Mediterranean Salad w chicken, hubby had BBQ ribs. Both were very good, tasty, and large portions. Ribs were over priced but salad was spot on. He had to bring home half of his meal. Service was attentive. Will come here next time we're in area. read more

It was ok. Maybe a one off but the fire grilled trout had no flavor. I love fish and normally wouldn't even say anything, but for $29 for a pic of fish rice and gravy and one stalk of broccoli it just was not worth the money. However my husband had the big sexy burger and loved it. read more

Stumbled upon this place after a day of hiking and it did not disappoint! I absolutely loved the pistachio crusted chicken and my husband went with the lasagna. He enjoyed the two different sauces as it's a whole different take on one of his favorite meals. read more

They did an amazing job with covid restrictions. The food was fantastic and I'm looking forward to coming back here. I had the "tropical piggy" and devoured the whole thing - not a kernel of rice left on my plate. Others in our group got the beef medallion bowl, the ribs, and the filet. I'm staying in town passing through between Park city and Scottsdale Arizona and I asked the girl at the motel for a recommendation and she said the wild thyme café. It's a laid-back friendly place they have a nice wine selection and a good beer selection. My dinner selection was called the tropical piggy and it was delicious pork with the Jamaican jerk sauce coconut rice pineapple slaw and a little bit of spinach that I got a little extra balsamic dressing on. Nice atmosphere! Can't beat being alone on the patio with attentive and sweet Marsha as our server. And we really appreciate that she was wearing a mask. Dog friendly patio Gluten Free friendly V friendly We had ribs and the Jerk Bowl. Hubby gives the ribs a solid 7.5 and ate them all. The jerk bowl was huge and very yummy. Very balanced flavor profile and enough for lunch tomorrow. read more

This place is Amazing! A must go! While vacationing in Kanab for our first time we found ourselves here. The staff are all very friendly and attentive! The food is exquisite! We normally don't get desert often when eating out but had to try more of their great food! Ps. I also don't like mojitos but their Blueberry one was great and very refreshing! read more

This was one of the few restaurants open in Kanab on a Sunday evening. This turned out to be a good thing because I cannot image finding a better meal in town. We were warmly greeted upon arrival and seated in their dining room near the bar. Cold water was brought and our drink order was taken. The menu looked so good! I finally settled on the falafel curry bowl. There were so many things that sounded good, it was a seriously difficult decision! My sister ordered the pistachio crusted chicken. My son proudly ordered The Big Sexy burger. We also ordered Caesar salads. The salads were huge! They were also delicious! Fresh and crisp with a good amount of croutons and Parmesan cheese. Dressed perfectly too! Our entrees were fan-freaking-tastic! My falafels were wonderfully spiced and served atop a warm bed of coconut ricewith fresh micro greens, spinach, and sautéed broccolini, along side a rice and warmly spiced yellow curry. I will attempt to recreate this at home. My son was really pleased with his Big Sexy burger and sage butter potatoes. Basically a big juicy triple cheeseburger with bacon, bbq sauce, onion straws, baby greens and a tomato. He let me try a bite of potatoes, but not the burger. Ingrate! My sister was better about sharing! Her chicken was tender and quite flavorful. The poblano cream sauce was perfect with it. Hers also came with the sage r potatoes and broccolini. We decided to share a piece of salted Carmel cheesecake. It was amazing! Beautifully played with real whipped m and an edible flower, which we each had a bit of. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience from beginning to end. I will definitely e back next trip. read more

This place is hands down the best spot I have eaten on my whole vacation. It is simply amazing. I wish Wild Thyme Cafe was next to my house in WA. My Fiancé and I were both blown away. I very much enjoyed my pistachio chicken. She got the beef medallion bowl. We were both speechless on the flavor and quality of the food. ( compliments to the chef). To finish our dinner off we had home made chocolate lava cake with ice cream. I don't usually have dessert but after our amazing dinner we could not help ourselves to wonder how good the desserts were. Our waitress was Delia and she was perfect. Could not have asked for better service. This place is small but worth the wait. You will not be disappointed. read more

Fresh, healthy, flavorful, unique and delicious about sums up our experience here. Looking for a dinner place online and seeing only a handful of places were still open, we decided to walk the town. Turned out to be the best decision because as we walked by this cafe, they had a sign on the door with extended hours. After a quick glance at the menu outside, we were sold. A great decision as we were both very happy with our meals. My salad had such a variety of veggies and topped with sliced pears for a nice touch. The service was wonderful as well. (Julie) was very attentive and even checked with other employees who were more familiar with the area we were going the next day to advise us on the best/safest way to get to our next destination. read more

This place has a nice ambience. Staff went out of their way to take care of us and let us take our time ordering. My husband got the pastrami sandwich. It was larger than we expected and delicious. I ordered the shrimp tacos. They were very tasty and the black bean/corn side was spicy. A great compliment to the tacos. Just enough parking, easy to find since it is on the corner. Delightful place to enjoy a meal. We would love to come back next time we visit. read more

Fast, efficient, and polite even when they are busy! I really enjoy the Parmesan Crusted Chicken, Kanab Cowboy Ribs, and the Filet Mignonette. They also offer a tasty array of adult beverages. Dining on the patio is great when the weather is right. It is a Kanab favorite for me. Thank you guys for doing such a great job! You are appreciated. :) read more

Stopped in while passing through town. Food looked and tasted incredible. A bit pricey, but it's made with love - and you don't get that everywhere! We were treated so nicely by our server, she even let us try a new herbal iced tea they were experimenting with! Altogether a memorable and pleasant experience. read more

Stopped in Friday night. Short wait. Had the bacon wrapped meatloaf with mole. I'd say it was just ok. Lots of mole sauce, and tho it was not "spicy" hot, it was "spicy" flavorful and the spice combination they used did not agree with me. My partner had the pineapple pork and felt it was just ok as well. read more

An absolute treat! Stopped off at this little spot on our way out of Zion. The service was welcoming and friendly and our server offered great recommendations. What a wonderful fine this little restaurant was. And conveniently it was across the street from our hotel. We waited to be seated by some very nice people and we looked over the menu which I have to say is quite nice. The menu has such a variety of flavors and tastes it just makes you think wow I want to come here for dinner. Will anyway service was prompt the food was not good, it was excellent. I wanna come to this place 5 more times problem is Kanab is such a long drive from California. 25 come back to Kanab all definitely be eaten here. The food was three/four stars but the service and feel good atmosphere bump it up to five overall. Especially the ultra pooch friendly patio. Molten chocolate dessert is world class. Could eat it every day. Hooray for fab desserts. Really glad it's open when so many other places are closed early in the week. Thanks! read more

We are so glad we found this place! This is the best place in town! We actually came upon this restaurant since our first choice had a 30 minute wait....and I'm so glad we did! It was meant to be. There is seating both inside and out. We decided to eat inside. The service was very welcoming and attentive. We had the Shrimp Tacos, the Sexy Burger, Chicken Sandwich and two of their salads. Everything was fresh, perfect presentation and delicious. We also added the cheesecake and the lava cake for dessert. I highly recommend it. If you are planning to pass through town....make it a point to eat here. You won't be disappointed. As we were walking out, there were a ton of people waiting and we went on a Tuesday night. This was such a special gem to come across during our road trip! While Thyme takes pride in serving farm to table food. They even have their own garden! We got the pistachio chicken, beef medallions, tropical piggy and carrot cake. All of them were SPOT ON.. like, PERFECT. It was the first time on our 3 day trip that everyone in the family tried a little piece of each other's meal hahaha. I highly recommend putting this on your list of places to go to! read more

Our experience was mixed. The Jamaican pork bowl was tasty and filling. The falafel bowl was ordered with a chicken added, which unfortunately was missed by the chef. It took about 15-20 minutes for the chicken addition to finally be served. Our server was very attentive and sweet. read more

Our restaurant offers high-quality Southwestern food, featuring organic produce from our own garden and greenhouse. We cut our filet mignon and salmon; we grind our own beef for meatloaf. Our desserts are house-made in small batches. We offer vegetarian and vegan entrees and do our best to keep our gluten-free diners happy. Wine, beer and liquor. Look for our sign on Highway 89: happy horse running through Thyme!

History

Established in 2017.

We opened in July 2017 with the goal of offering delicious, fresh, healthy, organic food, much of it grown on site, as well as in an employee-owned greenhouse.

Meet the Business Owner: Victoria M.

Victoria opened Wild Thyme Cafe after successfully running another restaurant in Kanab for 14 years. Chef Dan joined her to continue their pursuit of making the kind of food they like to eat: healthy and delicious. Our goal is to use local, organic produce as much as possible. Our in-house gardener, Ote, is also a yoga master and works as the Wild Thyme host several nights a week. Our excellent kitchen staff incorporates whatever Ote grows into our daily specials, as well as our regular menu. Victoria makes the desserts: be sure to save room. They are worth the splurge!

Once served the cook in the back had a huge coughing fit which was turning my stomach, Boxed up my leftovers which is undetermined whether I will eat. Got the heck out of dodge. I'm sure at one point this place was popular. I would love to see them return to their glory days, but perhaps not anytime soon. Sad! I might add we drove from Page, AZ so almost an hour drive. Very hungry and not many choices we chose to give it a shot.

Only in Kanab is a friendly little food truck in the SAMCO/Silver Eagle gas station parking lot…read more When we arrived around 6PM for a Sunday dinner, the little parking area right next to the truck was full of customers waiting to pick up their burgers, but there wasn't a line to order. Per the cashier, Zuzu, there would be an 18 minute wait for our food. She was on the dot correct, and 18 minutes later, we were biting in: Kanab Burger + Fries ($19) - Let's start with the patty. It's really good quality, about half an inch thick after cooking, still with a good portion of pink at medium-well doneness, resulting in a burger with plenty of moisture remaining inside. The patty, slightly smaller than the size of the bun, is charred well, but still tender and extremely beefy inside. The burger is slathered with a ton of chimichurri aioli, creamy, bright and herbaceous along with two slices of melted Muenster. It's so creamy that some starts dripping out as soon as the burger is lifted up. To add even more fat (which I honestly don't think is required), there are plenty of small avocado slices, followed by a single thin slice of tomato, which I found to be too small for the burger. There's then plenty of arugula, peppery and bitter to finish. It leads to a pretty well balanced burger, all on the bun emblazoned with the Only in Kanab logo. The bun compresses well to really cradle the ingredients. We ordered this with fries, which are pretty average in size and shape. Some are a bit over fried, but most are okay and still fluffy inside. They dust it with a liberal amount of seasoning salt, so it's quite salty. Shadow of the Dragon Burger ($14) - The burger patty is the same as above, but the other ingredients are mostly different. There's a garlicky and tangy sambal giving just a hint of heat. There's crunchy fried red bell pepper bits embedded in the hot sauce and then another creamy, slightly sweet sauce spread on the buns. It's overall not very spicy at all, and very messy to eat since things spill out easily. I think both burgers are a bit too abundant with the ingredients, but I don't think either were overloaded either. Overall these were very good burgers and a surprising find for such a small town where I didn't expect to find great food at all.

I was so happy to come back to my old home town and check out the newest restaurant, Wild Thyme. What a surprise -- there's literally nothing else like it in Kanab! So many old friends in a fabulous new environment. The combination of talent -- chef Dan Potter and dessert maker par excellence Vicky Cooper -- how could I go wrong? I loved my pistachio crusted chicken (the poblano sauce made my toes curl lol) and the wine my server suggested was spot on. I told Dan I was glad I had all day to think about what I was going to eat next and he rolled his eyes at me. I snagged a piece of the chocolate silk pie to take with me. We had an amazing dining experience here. My partner's fire-grilled trout was incredibly fresh and cooked to perfection, with a delicious smoky flavor. My Kanab Cowboy Ribs lived up to the hype--fall-off-the-bone tender and full of flavor. For dessert, we shared the carrot cake, which was packed with walnuts. I just wish the cream cheese icing was a little less sweet for my taste, but overall, it was still a great treat. The service was top-notch from start to finish. The staff--from the hostess to the waiter--were welcoming, friendly, and attentive. The restaurant had a great vibe, making the whole experience even better. We'll definitely be back. read more

We recently stayed in Kanab for a few days to explore the nearby landmarks and chose Wild Thyme Café for lunch based on its positive reviews. Unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to expectations. While the service was excellent and the patio provided a nice spot to enjoy the sun, the food was disappointing. The pasta dish was especially bad--the angel hair pasta was overcooked, broken, and yet somehow still hard, with a sauce that was thinned out from the pasta water. The grilled chicken sandwich was better, but the accompanying potatoes were lackluster. With such a small menu, it's disappointing to see a dish prepared so poorly. read more

There isn't much to choose from out in the middle of the desert but boy am I thankful for this place! We liked the food so much that we ate the EXACT same dinners two nights in a row while visiting Utah/Arizona. The servers were very helpful and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was very inviting.
