Food was ok. A bit dry. I had the Cinnamon Roll French Toast and had to ask for more syrup so it's drenched in the sauce. One of my sisters had the same order as mine, the other had some type of crunchy french toast and also the other had Crab Cake something with egg on top. My son and I visited here based on the Yelp ratings. Overall, we really felt the place was 3 Stars. We initially order the Cinnamon Role French Toast and Eggs Benedict, and planned on sharing the two item. After a couple minutes, the server returned to the table and recommended the Crunchy French Toast. So, that's what we had. The Eggs Benedict were fair, not bad, but nothing amazing. The Crunchy French Toast was definitely not good, in fact it had an odd flavor, I couldn't put my finger in it exactly, but they almost had a hint of soap flavor. That aside, they were barely warm, and reminded me of French Toast dipped in a bowl of corn flakes and topped with thick maple syrup with a hint of soap. As for the Ambiance, what ambiance. The place didn't have any. The booths reminded me of McDonalds and the place had very little atmosphere. All and all, the place is okay. You wouldn't think breakfast is difficult, but it totally can be! At Wildberries my bacon was perfectly crisp but also tender, my over-easy eggs had runny yolks and fully-cooked but still soft whites, and the fruit in my fruit bowl was fresh and juicy - not the rindy dregs you often get in a fruit bowl. Not very often you get a wet battered chicken fried steak - most are dry coating. They're gravy was decent although a little light on the pepper in my opinion. Eggs are perfectly cooked. My only complaint with my meal was the potatoes were extremely bland. All it needed was a little salt and pepper, and they were great. Their coffee was decent as well. The sausage patty was interesting. It looked like it had flax seeds which I haven't seen before. It tasted ok but probably something I wouldn't order on its own just cause it made the texture of the sausage kind weird. Which its something im not use to. Rating this place a 3.5, just cause the waitress wasn't very attentive. She took our orders and gave us our meal, then left the check and never came back. Which I thought was kinda odd. A few minutes later she came again. The menu was pretty large and we still hadn't chosen a meal. The third time she returned we placed the order. The cinnamon roll was pretty good, but not as fluffy as I prefer. My friends pancake was, well, a pancake (there was nothing special about it that would set it apart from any other pancake out there). My lemon-filled French toast was also okay, but nothing spectacular. Because the server kept coming back, we both got the impression she wanted us out for the next in line so we packed up and left. I kinda love this place. It honestly reminds me of the Coney I worked at back in MI. Super friendly management and staff. Tasty food, it must all be homecooked goodness. You're typically greeted with server asking for your drink order which is then brought out with complimentary berries. They also bring over a sandwich board that clearly lists that day's specials. The menu items remind me of the variety I would see on Coney menus around MI. Very homey. So if homey isn't your style, ya may want to consider something else. I think the highlight of this restaurant is the service! We had the cutest (and sassiest!) waitress. Every time she visited our table, we laughed or had a smile on our faces! The food was good. Nothing particularly mind-blowing, but we'd come back because we enjoyed our time here. We were offered free French onion soup when we sat down, and graciously accepted (because who doesn't like free soup??). As for our brunch, we ordered the Crunchy French Toast and added the bacon + eggs upgrade and Meat Lovers Omelette. The Crunchy French Toast wasn't that crunchy and it had a bit too much cinnamon for my liking. The Meat Lovers Omelette was a standard omelette. Bf opted to order in the restaurant to see what the specials were and returned with a strawberry filled French toast. Honestly, I think it was one of the best benedicts I've ever had! That or I was hungry, LOL. The hollandise was thick, creamy, and indulgent. I would have preferred the red potatoes to be fried/cooked a little more as they were slightly mushy but they were still good! (Side note, it's really hard to find breakfast potatoes!) I have been coming to Wild Berries for years. It is our (wife and I) favorite spot. The food is great and the price is spot on. Even if they are busy it is worth the wait. Coming here as long as we have we have had the opportunity to be served by person that works there from clean-up to cash out. I have never had a bad experience for any of the staff. The base line service expectation for this establishment is higher than any other restaurant I have been to in this category and it only gets better from there.
