Wildcrust has become one of our absolute favorite spots for Italian food and is firmly in our regular rotation. We love it so much that we've hosted several team events here and celebrated more than a few birthdays. The owners, Sam and Jean, are wonderful, and the entire staff makes the place feel like family. Travis in particular always makes us laugh, and Jean is truly one of the warmest people you'll ever meet. Every time we're there, she somehow makes us feel special and completely at home. Of course, none of that would matter if the food weren't so ridiculously good. The meatballs (and that sauce!), the Caesar salad--which might honestly be the best in LA--the pizzas, the brussel sprouts (like nothing you've ever had) the steak, the wine...and, unexpectedly, the sake. Yes, sake! Sam is half Japanese and brings some really interesting influences to the menu that somehow pair perfectly with their wood-fired pizzas. The atmosphere strikes that rare balance of being casual and welcoming while still feeling like a special night out. It's equally great for a date, a warm summer evening, an anniversary, a birthday party, or just dinner on a random Wednesday. We love everything about Wildcrust and always look forward to coming back.

Stopped by for a quick dinner since I was in the area. Wildcrust has been on my list since they opened. It is a really cute spot with a nice patio. There is a small lot out front if you are lucky enough to get a parking spot. We ordered two dishes: the calamari and the bacon onion jam pizza. The calamari had everything bagel seasoning and a side of marinara which was good. Nothing amazing but good. The pizza was very good. It had a good sweetness to it and the chilis gave it good heat. We did ask for a side of marinara with the pizza since I'm more of a red sauce person. Overall, the service was great. They gave great recommendations and were very attentive. Only thing is I wish I knew was that they were going to charge us for the side of sauce before they brought it. Overall, solid pizza and cute spot!

Came here for Father's Day! So tasty. My dad is picky when it comes to pizza but he loved it! Staff were all really nice as well, our server was Dora and she was amazing! Cute outdoor patio, dog friendly. Will be back

Brought my best friend to try this place out catch up. I highly recommend this spot for a date night if you're looking for something nice and not too fancy! Anyways onto the food: 1. Calamari with everything bagel seasoning - never would have thought of this combination but it sure does work. For those who are picky about the calamari, it is both legs and rings. 2. Cesar salad - greens were crispy and flavor was there. I need the brown butter bread crumbs on everything! 3. Margherita Pizza - Good but nothing too amazing. 4. Star of the show - Branzino - after having this, I have become a fan of Branzino. I will probably recommend this to anyone who comes here. The fish does have bones so be careful when you're eating it! The Shitake Buerra Blanc - Never had anything like this before but my friend who is not a fan of fish was in love this combination! 5. If Branzino isn't your thing, then the TIRAMISU IS THE STAR. Honestly would rate this top 2 Tiramisu I have ever tasted in my life. Note - there is pistachio for those allergic to nuts. I will be back because the wifey is not jealous haha Parking - A TINY parking lot but majority of the parking is street.

Wildcrust is a hidden gem. The moment you walk in, you're greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere and service. The menu offers a variety of delicious artisan pizzas, appetizers, and we were lucky enough to just make it in time for happy hour. They had an awesome deal with pizza + glass of wine or beer. Dog friendly patio!

Was feeling like pizza the other night, and was and Eagle Rock, and Wildcrust was in my list of places I needed to try, so made a quick reservation and headed over. Parking at Wildcrust is minimal in their parking lot, so you may need to find street parking, which is much more ample. The restaurant itself has an indoor and patio seating option. It was raining hard when we arrived, so inside was the move. We were sat immediately and water was brought to the table. After a quick look at the menu, we started with the pork belly and meatballs, with two pizzas: the margherita and bacon onion jam. The pork belly passed the eyeball test with some pickled cabbage on top. The meat, itself, was thinly slides and pretty fatty overall. Would have preferred more meat to fat ratio. Also, it could have been crispier on top to give the nice textured bite you look for from pork belly. The meatballs, oh the other hand, were outstanding. Definitely in my top three meatballs I've ever had. They use a snake rivers farm beef, and you can taste the quality, but it what feel like there's Parmesan mixed directly into the beef giving it this extra amazingness to each bite. The meatballs are layers with a chipotle tomato sauce giving a little spice and smokiness. Just a great meatball, would definitely recommend. Now you the pizzas. They are on the smaller end when it comes to pizzas for a table, and that's fine. First, the margherita. The tomatoes used tasted very nice, and the dough itself was good. The cheese felt a little cold in some areas, for some reason, so it became overly hard and not that soft, creamier texture. It also felt a little overly wet for a margherita. The bacon onion jam was different. It comes with goat cheese which, for be, I didn't feel was very prominent, to the point I didn't notice it. But a little ghost cheese goes a long way so this was probably for the best. But I was expecting this to really stand out and leave a memorable mark on me but, for some reason, it didn't. Overall, Wildcrust is a wood for oven pizza spot in Highland Park serving to they're take on the classic Naples item. If you go, absolutely order the meatballs, and bring me one as well. I'd say skip the pork belly. As for the pizza, if I had to choose one for you to order.... I guess the margherita based on the two we tried. But, honestly, just get the meatballs

definitely a place ive been thinking of incessantly since i was there last. i frequent skafs on york and was pleasantly surprised finding this spot just around the corner. the pizzas don't need any more props from me-- whatever the grilled cabbage dish our waiter suggested was called, along with the meatballs, the sauces on these things had me all but licking my plate like an unhinged buffoon. check this place out asap.

Great potential here with lots to work out. The Good: The Squash blossoms were yummy, the flavor and presentation was great! The meatballs were also good, the sauce was slightly spicy which was a great touch. Their spritz is also really refreshing and surprisingly strong. Ambiance absolutely gets a 5/5! The Not so good: The space is small and can feel quite cramped we were put at a weird setup table where we both faced the wall and kept getting bumped into when people walked behind us. The wait was honestly kinda ridiculous, they recommend you put the dishes in together but then bring everything out like 15-20 minutes apart the meal did not feel cohesive whatsoever. Service was also lacking, our server (while very nice) checked in only once the whole dinner. Besides the pizza, servings are also quite small. Overall a good one and done place, I don't see myself coming back but am glad I gave it a try!

Great place to eat some amazing quality food and wouldn't brake the bank honestly. the service was also just amazing friendly faces and just always walking around checking on you. the venue was clean, small but lore of a homie feel then cramped. they have a great variety of foods just need to get there and try a little bit of it all.

Omigosh, so so good! Service - we had the friendliest and attentive waitress from New York. She was the best! Food - so amazing. Meatballs - 5/5, so flavorful, doesn't just taste like your regular old meaty meatballs. It was so tender, juicy, and flavorful. Would def get this again. Salame - 4/5, I got this one, this is also so amazing, the chili drizzle was really good and it gave it a little kick. I ordered the Calabrian chili for 1.75 and it made it even spicier which I loved. Very flavorful! Margherita - 5/5, my husband got this one, so insanely good, can taste so many different flavors with one bite! I'll definitely be getting this one next time, this was the highlight I was sad they stopped selling the duck croquettes cus we really wanted to try it but hope they bring it back!

    Little Gem Lettuce Caesar Salad

Wildcrust is one of those places that keeps me up at night thinking about it. Not only is it the cutest retro chic interior, but the staff are all so friendly and want you to know about your food as much as enjoy it. I always eat ungodly amounts of pizza here yet never feel bloated or disgusting after. Their little gem lettuce caesar salad is a buttery dream. They released some new menu items when I went and they are absolutely must-try items. The japanese sweet potato with pomegranate and butter reduction was so unbelievably melt in your mouth. It's funny I was just talking with a friend about how pomegranates are royalty food, and it does add that touch of esteem to this dish. The new chicken dish was the most moist chicken I've ever had, and the pickled onion it comes with was so refreshing it was the perfect pairing. We were also privileged to try the banana ice cream the chef was playing around with and I must beg for that to be released to the menu. It was such a stretchy and creamy consistency, I was obsessed with the texture and it tasted exactly like Korean Banana Kick snacks. Pistachio tiramisu is phenomenal (though I've never had bad tiramisu). Ask Sam to tell you about the sakes! The one we tried was absolutely divine.

I was excited when my friend asked me to try this place since I had it bookmarked for a while lol A cute place for a date, but also a nice place for family/friends gathering. Place is not huge tho...reservations recommended. There was a deposit fee for reservation. You will lose it if you don't show up or cancel in advance. Parking was very limited. In the same plaza as Fondry...my friends ended up parking in the streets. One of my friends made reservation for 4. The friendly host seated us right away when we arrived. I don't order salad often, but i was looking forward to try their Caesar salad. We ordered one Caesar, the asparagus, meatballs, hamachi crudo, and 2 pizzas. For pizza, we got the funghi and salame picante. I enjoyed the small plates more than the pizzas. The caesar salad was very refreshing =) i enjoyed every bite. Very tasty!! The Hamachi had a little spice to it. It was so good. I loved the flavor. I also thought the asparagus was yummy. It was cooked perfectly. Not sure what they added, but it was so good. I wanted to put all the sauce on it lol My least favorite was the meatballs. It looked good, but the flavor was lacking. Also, thought it was a bit dry. Luckily, we didn't add another piece for $7. I liked the funghi pizza more than the salame. The salame was too sweet for my liking. However, i am not a fan of honey or sweet pizza . The funghi was good, but a bit too salty. Very thin pizza. I prefer the thicker ones with lots of cheese, but these weren't bad at all. Overall, it was good. Service was very good as well.

For starters, the entire staff from host to servers were so friendly and attentive, it was a very welcoming and warm environment. Now to the main event, the pizza! I ordered the classic pepperoni and the garlic pesto pizza and both were so dang good. The crust is crispy, delicious, and flavorful. I savoured every bite, especially the garlic pizza - that was a stand out for me! I also ordered a slice of the princess cake and it was divine. Fluffy, moist, and light. I will definitely weather the brutal reservations again, very impressed with everything here!

The pizza had a nice crispy crust with quality ingredients, especially the pepperoni slices and fresh basil, but overall the flavors didn't stand out as much as I expected. The pesto slice was probably my favorite of the bunch, while the pepperoni was solid but nothing particularly memorable. The service was friendly and efficient, and the staff got our order out quickly. The casual, laid-back atmosphere made it a nice spot to grab a slice, though seating is pretty limited. We also tried the cake for dessert, which was light and enjoyable, but overall the meal left me feeling a bit underwhelmed. It wasn't bad by any means, just not a place I'd go out of my way for.
