Finally got a chance to dine at Willies and was very impressed by the food. Everything was delicious! The focaccia and tortelli were my favorites! The dessert was also incredible. I ordered the tiramisu and it was so delicious that I didn't even take a picture! Street parking is available. This is a good spot for a date night or fun dinner outing. They do not take reservations so I am not sure if this will be a good place for a giant group.

Enjoyed an outstanding dinner! Service, quality of food was top notch. Despite the unassuming name-this is one of the best restaurants in Reno hands down.

Came here with a friend to do some catching up. The first impression walking in is the delicious smell and friendly staff. We had the octopus, pancherri, and clams. 10/10 would come back!

Popped in at 7:30 on a Saturday and we're sat immediately! Not sure if it was quiet because another Italian spot in town was having a reopening fest but we certainly didn't mind! To start we ordered the bison tartare, which was a tad salty for me but delicious. We also ordered focaccia, the brisket agnolotti, and the duck confit ziti. I thought everything was cooked to perfection. The pasta was beautifully made. We ended with the butterscotch budino. I found that the salted caramel on top completely overwhelmed the flavor of the budino but was still quite good. We left feeling full and happy! We will be back.

First time here and definitely won't be my last. Started off with the Stracciatella beets appetizer with their grilled ciabatta bread. Beets were refreshing and went perfectly with the grilled ciabatta. Had the Pappardelle Carbonara for my main and it was some of the best pasta I've had in a long time. Had to use the rest of my bread to clean my plate! Had the Butterscotch Budino for dessert which was delicious, but definitely on the sweet side. The Coffee Negroni was an amazing dessert cocktail. Could've drank several of them if I wasn't full! I would definitely come back to try other items on the menu. Might be my favorite Italian restaurant for now.

I hate to share about this place because then it may get too busy for me to go but, I'm not about to gate key. Every single item that we picked was a 10 out of 10. We had the octopus, the focaccia, the fettuccine with clams, the tiramisu and the eggplant fries. The tiramisu was soaked perfectly in coffee and liqueur with even amounts of fresh mascarpone cream. You could tell it was freshly made. The only thing I wish was that our server was a little bit more talkative and would've given us a few more recommendations on drinks, but the food and ambience was so superb that it wasn't a big deal. Just a tip that they don't take reservations so you have to get there when they open to secure a spot early or be willing to wait a little bit. In my opinion, it is absolutely worth the wait.

We had an incredible dinning experience with a large group and no reservation. Appetizers and entrees were all amazing (recommend the parmesan tots/focaccia/tiramisu) and the staff gave us exceptional service. I don't think there is anything on the menu you could wrong with!

Food was delicious. Service was great and helpful. My friend and I came in a little bit after they opened and there were already a few tables seated. We shared the stuffed flatbread. I ordered the shrimp tagliatelle and my friend ordered the papardelle carbonara. Both were delicious. They gave a good amount of shrimp in my pasta. Noodles were cooked to our liking.

Finally got to try Willies! Overall would go back again. Their pastas were the most intriguing with lots of different flavor options. We got the ziti and the carbonara - both were perfectly al dente with good flavors, and the side of focaccia bread was great for soaking up all the extra sauce. Carbonara is not a "hot" dish -more so just slightly warm, which our waiter warned us of (we didn't mind, still very tasty). We felt like the ambiance/decor was not as well thought out as it could be. Prices were on the higher side, but we did feel full at least with the 2 pasta dishes and the focaccia side as 2 adults.

10++ stars! I usually avoid bar seating, but this experience completely changed my mind. Sitting at this kitchen bar in this intimate little pasta shop turned out to be the best seat in the house -- comfortable, entertaining, and full of energy. We started with the stuffed flatbread, which was perfectly crispy and absolutely mouthwatering. The beet salad was fresh, juicy, creamy, and packed with flavor -- one of the best I've had. Then came the pasta... and wow. The short rib-stuffed pasta was loaded with meat and rich flavor in every bite. The butternut squash filled pasta with sage and brown butter was silky, comforting, and beautifully balanced. Truly unforgettable dishes. Watching the chefs in action was part of the magic. You could feel the passion, precision, and quiet communication happening in the kitchen -- the eye contact alone said everything. It was such a cool, immersive experience from start to finish. We loved every minute and can't wait to go back to try every single dish. If you get the chance to sit at the bar here, take it -- you won't regret it.

Food was delicious. Service was excellent. Small restaurant and gets packed very quickly. Reservations are not available so be prepared to wait. If I am ever back in Reno I will definitely eat there again!

You don't usually see a restaurant only opened from Mon-Wed during dinner time - but that's exactly what this place is. I went with my sisters to this restaurant for the first time around 6pm on a Tuesday and was seated right away. It did get quite busy around 7pm and then got less busy around 8pm - I would suggest coming here earlier or later to beat the dinner rush. The layout of the restaurant and menu design reminded me a lot of Kauboi Izakaya which is a restaurant a few doors down. We ordered an abundance of food and were pretty content after each dish! For appetizers, we got the burrata, fritto misto, and the little gems salad. I would have to say that the appetizers were the best part of this meal hands down. I would get all of these appetizers again. For our entrees, we got the bucatini and rigatoncini carbonara. Both of these pastas were okay in my opinion. I wouldn't get either of them again. We then ended with a tiramisu and butterscotch pudding for dessert. Both were delicious. I would get the tiramisu again. Our servers were attentive and friendly. This might just be my new go-to spot for Italian food! I've already recommended this place to many of my friends.

When I tell you I have been waiting for Willie's Pasta Shop to open for years, I'm not kidding, but I'm happy say it was worth the wait! The place is small and the ambiance is necessarily fancy, but they make up for a lack of fanciness with their food. We got the stuffed flatbread which was buttery, garlicy and delicious. We got the frito misto and i think it's the best I ever have had--it was perfectly fried and the shishito peppers were a nice touch! We got two pastas to share: the agnolotti dal Plain and fonduta ravioli and both were incredible. The flavors were perfect and the handmade pasta was legit. We were too full for dessert but will definitely be checking it out next time. Can't wait to go back!

We ordered a 10-inch pizza, half cheese and half pepperoni, with a Pepsi for about $18, which really wasn't bad at all considering the location and late-night hours. We split it, and the pizza was hot, fresh, and actually really good. The staff was friendly, service was quick, and the food came out fresh. The only downside was the seating area. They were cleaning when we got there, but a lot of the tables still needed to be wiped down, chairs organized, and trash picked up. It wasn't filthy, but the dining area definitely could've been maintained a little better for guests trying to sit and eat. Overall, I'd still give it an 8/10 because the pizza itself was solid, especially for late-night food court pizza in a casino. I'd definitely eat there again.

The food took insanely long, an hour and a half and everyone got their food all at once which I have no idea if it was planned or not. My mashed potatoes were cold but my dish was hot. By the time we got the food I was STARVING and I was too hungry to really slow down and eat to enjoy. The mashed potatoes were cold as I mentioned so the pacing was off. I'm leaning 3 stars for food, service was great but wouldn't come back if I was visiting because really, anything over 45 minutes to prep should be explicitly marked on the menu.

(Keep in mind all other restaurants even the casual ones exceeded that!) in the end we were just floored as we did not expect this great dining experience for a casino! I really liked the maze of small rooms with high ceilings. The hosts were meticulous about not overstating an area. It was perfect for table side smoked cocktail service! The whole table was envious of the person who ordered the mushroom ravioli. We later found out it is a house feature. The gelato also seemed to house made fresh. A lovely evening spoiled by terrible service…read more.. Friends had commented how much they loved La Strada, so we were eager to give it a shot. A small group of 6, we had reservations for 5:30 on a Wednesday evening. This should not have been a particularly busy time. Situated in the Eldorado Casino, the entrance to La Strada does not capture just how big and spacious the restaurant really is. Beautiful decor and hand painted frescos, the environment conjures up images of old Italy. With our early seating, our party was able to take advantage of "the early bird special" which included a starter (soup, salad or Ravioli starter) and a dessert, all for the price of the entree alone. Our evening started with a friend ordering an Old Fashioned. Prepared tableside, he was offered a few options of whiskeys. Once selected, the server put on a show, pushing smoke into a decanter. I don't know if this was his intent, but the two ladies sitting closest to the server were absolutely innundated with smoke, leaving their clothes polluted with the smell of a chimney. Once prepared, the smell of smoke in the drink was unmistakeable. My friend said and I quote, "this is absolutely the worst Old Fashioned I have ever had. Completely undrinkable". We passed around the glass and I will say the smell of smoke alone kept me from trying it. What a waste. Moving on to the food, our starters were "fine". Everyone ordered salads. Nothing remarkable. They were fine. Now I will say, for the most part the food was quite good. I ordered the Chicken "Mattone" which was a boneless half chicken, in a delicious sauce. It is normally served with Calabrian Style Roasted Potatoes but I passed on the potatoes, opting for more Brocolini. The Brocolini was prepared to perfection. My entire meal was fresh, deliciious and prepared perfectly. My wife ordered the Salmon. Her fish was prepared perfectly. The outer edge had a nice snap to it and the fish was moist and flaky. Delicious. It was served Smashed Potatoes, which I have to say were not my favorite. I would have preferred either roasted potatoes or just plain mashed. One of my friends orderd the Risotto with Scallops. A generous serving of Risotto, the meal looked great. Unfortunately, my friend said the dish did not compare to the last time he ordered it, on this night, the dish was soft and gummy. Not good. Unfortunately, the big spoiler of the evening was the service. Coming early mid-week, I would have expected better service. Our server, while pleasant, would often disappear, leaving us in need of refills and a general feeling of inattention. On one of the rare occasions he did stop by, my friend asked for another "Gin & Tonic". Simple enough. I don't know if he just forgot but the second drink took forever to come. Once done with our meals, poor service continued with taking forever yet again to get some boxes and finally get the check and run the credit cards. All in all, it was so unfortunate that an otherwise lovely evening was spoiled by bad execution. There are better options for fine Italian in Reno. Sorry La Strada, you are a pass.

Unfortunately, we were stuck back in the rear corner of the building on this visit. The vibes back there are not nearly as nice as the up-front dining. Service was still good even though we were out of view of the main dining area. We started with the cauliflower appetizer. Very well cooked, perfectly tender, and the Calabrian chili oil was perfect for adding some spice. We then ordered entrees, which included the duck duo and a Caesar salad. The Caesar is nothing to write home about. It's fresh and from scratch, but it's just a Caesar. The duck duo came with both duck confit and duck breast. The duck confit was unreal. So tender and so flavorful. The duck breast was a bit tough for my liking, but I really enjoyed the sauce they used on the dish. Most of all, I was shocked by how good the dessert was. We ordered the cast-iron chocolate cake, and it was unbelievable. The sauce that bubbles away in the hot cast iron was spooned onto the rich cake and topped with vanilla ice cream. Nothing better! I miss the old Liberty that used to offer daily specials and killer deals on pasta and pizza, but the new Liberty ain't so bad.
