My boyfriend and I have been coming here for about two years. We are always catered to and greeted with a smile! Ty and Jackson are an excellent representation of why we come here! They are fast, efficient, and actually have a conversation with us. I can get a good burrito anywhere, but here is the best, especially with good employees like them. Me and my friend went to Willys yesterday (November 7) for lunch right at 11:00 am. Right after we got done eating, my friend complained he didn't feel good and I had a headache. My friend threw up within 30 minutes, and then was fine. I thought I was fine because I just head a headache, but around 4 pm that afternoon it hit me, but I did not get better. I was sick all night long, throwing up every 20 or so minutes for about 12 hours. I hadn't eaten anything else that day, and I went to the doctor today and I have food poisoning. I had never been so sick in my life. I paid $20 to have the worst night of my life and now am paying much more at the hospital. Do not go to willys Update: copay was $25 and the anti-nausea medicine was $10. The medicine hasn't been working and I haven't had an appetite or been able to eat in three days. read more

The food was not very appetizing. The service was great and the staff was very kind, but the food was greasy and dry. I ordered a burrito and it was soggy and fell apart on me. My boyfriend had gotten a burrito bowl and said that the pork was very dry and that he was charged extra for shredded cheese in his bowl. We had also gotten chips and queso dip which the cheese was fine but the chips were extremely salted which made the cheese dip unappetizing. read more

The people here are awesome! I really hate going to Barberitos because I always feel like I'm a judge in a douchebag contest. Fine, you ALL win. Happy? Not the case at Willys! Everyone here is super nice and friendly and don't complain when I ask them for extra tomatillo sauce on my salad. Then, let's not forget the mesmerizing Coke machine that will tempt you to spend twenty minutes making your drink. Of course the system is down. The past three times their system has been down and they are only taking cash. They proceed not to tell you that their system is down until you go up to order. So I then ordered online since I didn't have cash. I went up to tell the manager (who's name I am not sure of but she was a older woman with long blonde hair) that I ordered online and told her my name just so when it was ready she knew I was already there. She proceeded to rudely look at me like I was stupid and point out the 8 online orders she had and that it wasn't going to be anytime soon. She also turned away a post mates driver since it was "going to be a while". Which I get it, your system is down and that is stressful, but 1. The line was empty and 2. It doesn't need to be said to me like I am a 4 years old. And quite honestly the reason it "took a while" is because she is complaining the whole time to costumers about other costumers and talking to employees complaining as well. Overall, I understand the situation is stressful but maybe they need to learn how to try to be efficient and professional. read more

The best Burrito Bowl I've ever had! Beans are not canned, fresh guac, and homemade salsa to die for. Yum yum!

This is the best of the burrito places in Athens. The food is always good and is so consistent. I have been eating here 2-3 times a week since it opened. The manager and the staff are fantastic. Management is probably the most important ingredient in a restaurants success and this one has the very best management you could find! My only issue is sometimes the line is long. But it's amazing how quickly the staff can move people through the line. I can't recommend this place high enough!! read more

Tried to order Willie's online today for me and my coworker. When you hit order for pickup the screen won't load on any brower. When you click delivery the entire menu isn't displayed to chose from. When we called the number listed several times there was no answer. We took our business to Moe's because obviously Willie's isn't too interested in our money. read more

This is essentially another iteration of Chipotle along the lines of Barberitos, which is to say American Mexican food gone corporate. I actually prefer the other two over this eatery. The restaurant is clean, the service is great, and the food is speedily prepared... there just isn't much wow factor in the flavor department for me. Salsas could also use a little work. read more

I just made my first food mistake in Athens. Willy's Mexicana Grill. I was served a burrito that consisted of the scrappings of an empty container of rice, black beans drained from the remains of a 2 gallon crusty pool of black fluid. When the toppings were added, the guy literally threw them at the plate. The lettuce was fished out of a near empty pan of filthy water and the guy made no attempt to let it drain. Instead he again just through it, water and all, into the aluminum dish. This place needs better management. I will never go there again. Moes and Barberitos get my business. read more
