After I went in and discovered they had put up everything.

Got back from out of town my children were craving Willys. I got to this location at 9:26. They close at 10. Two of the three doors were locked but the open sign was clearly on and flashing. I go in the only open door. There is no salsa bar, no tea sweet or unsweetened and no lemonade. I go to order. They have no rice. No ground beef, no fajita vegetables. They didn't close for another 34 minutes but everything they didn't want to have to do at closing was already done. I asked them when they close? The female manager says 10. But she said it in a smart ass tone as if I work for her. I walked out. i drive around the back of the store and one of the employees cars is jacked up on blocks with a wheel missing. WTF? This location for years has been going down hill. It's by far the dirtiest, most rudely staffed Willys of all of them. I've been to most. I left and drove to West Paces where their restaurant was completely stocked with food and courteous happy employees. Willy time for a revamp and rehire the Howell Mill Store. It's becoming an eyesore to the neighborhood.

Willy's is always my go to for nachos when I cant go to a more traditional/authentic place. Mu favorite are the Super Nachos with Queso instead of shredded cheese. Black Beans and Spicy Chicken...dont forget the fajita veggies...cilantro, fresh jalapenos, corn, guacamole and sour cream.... Today was no exception and since it's a build your own situation...I got everything I wanted AND a mixed frozen margarita to boot. Now I am not a fan of frozen my preference is on the Rocks but the cashier convinced me to try the frozen and I was a happy customer. The patio is open and seating is limited due to social distancing (not a complaint just stating facts) but the quality of food and the service was A1.

I may have been in the store for a total of 5 minutes but within the first 15 seconds I received some of the best customer service I have all week. I did not get her name, but she had locs and worked the food line. Her initial approach was so warm so welcoming and I appreciate it the experience with her and the rest of the staff.

Stopped here during a road trip and I'm so glad we did. The staff was eager and ready to take our order. I ordered a burrito bowl without the rice and the portion size was well worth the price. For some reason the bar area was closed which was disappointing. Our meal came with warm and crisp chips and salsa. Despite some reviews this location was pretty clean. I mean they could have swept a little but overall not bad. I'd visit Willy's again in the future.

Love hearing my friend play and sing on the patio!

I don't review lot of chains these days in particular - and I generally love Willy's above the other similar options - but this one deserves a couple of comments: It is consistently dirty! Surprising compared to the other locations (like the one near Ptree Battle and the WPF in the OK Cafe shopping center) - more surprising that it's that way pretty much all the time. Parking is also a challenge - with the apt building behind and it being so closely nestled by CFA, it seems a big lot with....not much room or enough spaces. The only time I really enjoy going to this one has nothing to do with the rice bowl I love- it's because my friend plays & sings there some weekend nights during spring and into early fall!

I'm a new fan of willy's!! They give you really healthy portions, their toppings are always fresh and I like the selections! I've been getting the goal bowl lately which is basically a salad with a protein, pico de gallo and whatever other toppings you want to add. Super delicious! Obviously it's a fast dining experience, so you walk in and order, all of the things are in front of you and they top it on in front of you! I've also ordered on DoorDash and have zero complaints!!

They have quickly become my favorite place to get Mexican food. Let's get into it! Location and Parking They are located on Buford Highway in a small shopping plaza. The lot is medium sized, but they are sharing it with a few other businesses, and depending on the night it could definitely be hard to find a spot so keep that in mind. Venue and Atmosphere The venue is decently sized with both booths and regular tables. There are beautiful paintings hung all over, and the decorations that make you feel like you've stepped into a little part of Mexico. Atmosphere is super casual and comfortable. Food and drinks Now the menu here is massive. Take your time and prepare to be overwhelmed, because everything sounds amazing. Here's a breakdown of what we got each time. 1st visit - El Rey Del Taco Parrillada It's meant to be shared with two people, and comes with a pound of beef ribs, your choice of chicken or al pastor meat, six shrimp wrapped in bacon, with melted cheese and chorizo, plus tortillas and charro beans. It was just as delicious as it sounds. 2nd visit - Tacos The pastor con queso and the shrimp al pastor with cheese, onions, and al pastor sauce. You're welcome. 3rd visit - Fajitas Fajitas Texanas, with steak chicken and shrimp. There are 7 different combinations of sides that you can get. We got white rice, salad, and charro beans. This can also be shared, which my wife and I did. Speaking of the charro beans, they have the best beans I have ever had. For drinks I got the supreme regular mango margarita. My wife got strawberry. Both great. Service Food came out fast, but other than that the service was a little slow. Our waitress was nice, but it did seem that she forgot about us for a little while. The food was so good that I forgave it, plus at the end of the day I got everything I needed. Verdict If you're looking for amazing food and drinks, this is absolutely the place to get it. It just might end up being your favorite too! Until next time!

It was a little pricey at $14 for 3 small-ish tacos, but each taco was packed with meat. I also got a taco de la abuela with pastor meat. For their street tacos, they have normal street tacos for $3.25, or for $0.25 more you can get the same taco with a handmade tortilla (aka taco de la abuela). I didn't try a normal taco, so not sure if there's a notable difference in the tortilla, but I thought the pastor taco was solid as well. I felt like perhaps it was lacking a little in flavor? But I do appreciate the amount of meat that's given. The slices of pineapple are nice as well - very authentic. Throughout my dining experience, most customers were picking up/taking orders to go. The restaurant is kept clean and there's a serve yourself salsa bar. I'm glad that I've found a good taco spot nearby! We waited only a few minutes and was able to navigate the small lot to get a spot. There is a designated window for pre-orders and walk-ups have a separate line. It wasn't that long when we were there, but was out the door when we left. Ordering was easy as we got a chance to preview the paper menu, and we were given a card to place on our table once we found it. There was plenty of seating options despite the full lot, but it was nice out so a lot of people were out on the patio with views of the busy intersection. The decor was modern and airy. We checked out the salsa bar while we waited for our appetizer and I found the jalapeno roasted garlic, which was spicy and amazing!! Our appetizer was the con queso and I added chorizo, which I highly recommend. It was plenty for our party of 4 and they'll give you more chips if you need them for the amount of dip you get, just ask. I got one each of the steak, chicken, and carnitas tacos on corn tortillas. The steak was my favorite and I loved that you could taste the smoke in each of the meats with each bite. The grapefruit marg was strong! We were in and out in well under an hour.

I got the beef Birria, steak Birria, and barbacoa tacos. The consommé itself was a little watery and tomato-y, but the tacos themselves were of decent quality and flavor. The beef Birria was better IMO than the steak, which was a little chewier. The barbacoa was definitely hands down my favorite - out of them it was the most flavorful and tender. The salsas they gave on the side were good too - spicy, tangy. The seating in the store is very limited (only a few tables, not well spaced out), large groups would be hard to accommodate.

I believe the meats here are halal. The crust of both the taco and quesadilla were crispy and had a nice cheese crunch. But trying other birria spots, these were okay. Good but nothing that would wow. The consome dip was actually pretty watered down. I know places make them differently as I've had versions with meat bits in them and another with rice. But their version was just watered down. The shrimp ratio was pretty sad. The beef is actually more bang for your buck. Though I didn't truly count the shrimps, there were about 3 or 4 of those baby shrimps. They didn't look nor tasted like they were doused in flavor. The shrimp was just so so. Sort of bland in taste imo. The beef had a nice kick of flavor. There was a good amount of beef to my surprise. Another friend's beef taco version looked like it was stuffed with meat as well. There was just ample seasoning and flavor with the beef. Psst. If you're thinking x3 tacos vs x1 whole quesadilla, go with the quesadilla. You're sort of getting another piece since the quesadilla is cut into four quadrants versus just 3 tacos. Though it's a different form on presentation, you're going to be getting more for the same exact price.
