They've expanded, taking over the cell phone store and it's fun to order the variety of salads while sipping wine, overlooking the parking lot if you sit near the window. For appetizers, we ordered the clams casino and rib eye steak. Both were a winning combination with the garlic bread. The pastas we ordered were so delicious! I loved the chicken, shrimp broccoli alfredo. No dessert this dinner. We were so full. The generous portions were really filling, with even a doggie bag to take home. Wow! This charming second-floor restaurant, owned by two brothers, Ken and Tony, has been a hidden gem for the past 11 years. The owners are hands-on and present daily, creating a warm, family-style ambience. We started with the Fresh Clam Casino, followed by a generously sized Sampler Salad--easily enough for four. For our main courses, we enjoyed the Chicken and Eggplant Parmigiana, Jambalaya, Chicken and Shrimp Olio, and the Fish of the Day (Opah), sautéed in olive oil with spinach and mushrooms. Every dish exceeded our expectations, with generous portions and perfectly balanced flavors--not too buttery, not too salty, just right. Win-Spuntino Italian Cafe located in the Market City Shopping Center. Appetizers Clam casino consisted of clams, mushrooms, bacon and onions sauteed in garlic butter white wine sauce. Delicious! The sauce was so delicious we dipped our garlic cheese bread in it. Garlic cheese bread, its crispy edges, biting into it hearing that delightful crunch! Soft in the center, cheesy and garlicky delicious! Deep fried calamari was moist, perfectly cooked served on a bed of chopped romaine lettuce, and marinara sauce for dipping. The size of the calamari was like a mozarella cheese stick! Yum! Entrees Ribeye & shrimp alfredo pasta. The 8 ounce steak was ordered medium rare but it came out well done. We did not fuss, ate it and it was good and still tender. It came with mushrooms and onions cooked in a white wine butter sauce and a side of broccoli. The two shrimps were jumbo size. Chicken piccata with spaghetti was delicious! Two generous portions of perfectly cooked chicken breasts, sauteed in lots of chopped garlic, capers, butter and white wine sauce. Seafood combo with linguine in alfredo sauce was good but not enough sauce to coat the pasta. This dish had a few strips of calamari, two jumbo shrimps and a lot of clams, which the latter made up for the sauce. Lobster special had two pieces of scallops, a couple of shrimps, mushrooms, spinach, and chopped tomatoes in a lobster creme sauce, which was good. Although, we had expectations of lobster meat in it. Dessert Chocolate oreo cheesecake was delicious! Oreo cookie crumb toppings, cheesecake and a blend of chocolate and cheesecake and a chocolate crust... divine. Black sesame ice cream. The black sesame was very subtle. I could hardly taste it, but the ice cream was creamy and refreshing. The restaurant is small and quaint, simply decorated with a painting and bunches of artificial grapes hanging from the ceiling. If seated in view of their small kitchen, you can watch them cook. It was a two man crew that night we went but they were still attentive in checking on us and refilling our water. The food came out quickly too. They are so on it. They are located near Foodland and The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, upstairs of Thai Issan Cuisine. Walk up the stairway at the right where there's a sign KJ's hairstyling. Parking is free but very busy as there are many other restaurants and establishments. Their dish portions are generous, some dishes with lots of sauce, to my liking. Their cooking is very tasty. As I reminisce, I am salivating and wondering when our next visit will be. read more

The restaurant seems to be a one man operation, literally. The chef owner was greeting customers, taking orders, cooking the food, and bringing out the dishes. The food quality is great, but this is definitely slow food, which is not necessarily a bad thing. You know that everything is made to order, made fresh, and made with care. But be prepared to wait a bit. The food was great. I had the chicken and shrimp olio. It was nice and garlicky and the chicken and shrimp were cooked perfectly. The caesar salad was also very good. I could taste the garlic and anchovy in the rich, freshly made dressing. I will definitely go again and next time try their spaghetti with meatballs and meat sauce. A good test of a restaurant is if they can make a dish with simple ingredients sing. They made the olio and the Caesar salad really well. Now to test their spaghetti the next time. read more

We are back again, we love this place for take out, the portions are enormous and one order can feed 2 people. This time we tried the sampler salad special, scallops & shirmp, seafood combo pasta with side of garlic bread. We tried the alfredo sauce on the seafood combo, it was good but a little runny (maybe from the heat condensation), pink sauce on the scallops & shrimp was okay, maybe we should have tried the garlic butter or regular marinara sauce. But overall great meal. The sampler salad special was really good you get to select any three salads we choose the beet, curry and greek, it was a great selection (could have had as a meal, so much salad). Service is always on point, only one time we had a short wait for our order, but most times it ready or they packing up when you get there. I've been coming go this place for years! It's right next to the Market City Foodland on the second floor above the Thai restaurant and nail salon. I don't think there's any wheelchair access, unfortunately. Food: I usually get the chicken parmigiana or the spaghetti with meatball and Italian sausage. Love the flavors and the portion is huge! Make sure to get the cheesecake when you're there - it's always fresh and tasty :) Service: Staff has always been nice and I've never had a bad experience with them. This was our third visit, and Win-Spuntino has consistently good food. It's a quaint dining room upstairs in the Market City Shopping Center. They have daily specials, and a fairly large menu with all the usual Italian favorites. We've tried their calamari and it's terrific. Definitely add garlic bread to your meal. Very tasty! Good portion sizes, so you won't go hungry. Wear a tank top because there isn't air conditioning, but there are windows that let in a breeze, and there are fans. You can bring your own wine or beer. They were recently featured on Cheap Eats as well. This place gives a lot of food for your money & was very tasty. It was meant just for tonight's dinner but we had enough to carry us to tomorrow's dinner as well. We both got their Vegetable Pasta dishes; one with Marinara sauce, and the other in a Garlic sauce & both were onolicious! We will definitely be back to try their other dishes. One thing to add - they even wrapped up my marinara sauce pasta plate in a plastic wrap so that it wouldn't get messy in the bag. That's a thoughtful owner thinking of their customer's welfare. A yummy hole in the wall kind of place! The staff was fabulous and so very kind. They were quick to help us & we also got our food very quickly. The garlic cheese bread was very cheesy which I like! All good since I have time to write another review. Win-Spuntino is located in Market City above Thai Issan. They are up the stairs next to the Thai Issan entrance. You can dine there or you can get takeout. Most of the time we get take out but have dined there a couple times. Portions are generous and the prices here are great! Flavors are good and they are very consistent in their dishes. Customer service is always friendly and with a smile. My sister loves this place and orders from them often. They give very generous portions for great prices (you're basically getting two meals when you order any one dish for about $15) I had the penne ricotta, which is coated in a rich, cheesy sauce. I don't know if this is the best Italian spot on the island, but as someone that comes from an Italian family, I would definitely say this restaurant measures up to the authentic dishes I've had. The customer service here is also superb - everyone's very friendly! The space inside is a little small, but I've never had to wait for a seat. Win Spuntino is a true hidden gem. Many of my friends didn't know about this place until I introduced it to them, and they are all bringing their families here from now on! It's located to the right of Foodland in Market City, and there's a narrow staircase that leads to the restaurant. The inside of the restaurant is pretty small, as I would think most people do takeout, but they were able to put two tables together for our party of 5. I had a piece of the garlic bread, penne ricotta, and a lilikoi cheesecake. The penne ricotta was huge and lasted me two meals. The pasta itself was super cheesy and flavorful. I wasn't going to get anything at first because I was so full from trying to finish the pasta. But, my friends and I peer pressured one another into getting the cheesecake. I decided to get the lilikoi flavor, while one of my friends got the original. My lilikoi one was super rich and the crust was amazing. I tried a bite of the original cheesecake, and it has to have been the best cheesecake I've had. It was so good, it's too hard to put into words. The guy working was super duper kind and working hard. He was very sympathetic for making us wait, but honestly my friends and I were having a good time anyways and were in no rush. I love Win Spuntino and will definitely be back for more delicious Italian food and the original cheesecake! read more

Came here with the family for Restaurant Week Food-A-Go-Go. I haven't been here in years so when I saw them on the list, we had to go. The place looks like it had a little makeover from my last visit, but I recognized those red checkered tablecloths. We started with the Greek salad and garlic bread. The salad was nice and refreshing, but the tomatoes were a bit mushy. Garlic bread was yummy. For dinner we ordered the shrimp scampi and chicken, shrimp, broccoli Alfredo and added mushrooms (for $2.50). Both were tasty, but the portions were smaller and the prices were higher. I guess everyone is trying to make up for the loss during the pandemic. We ended our dinner with key lime pie and lilikoi cheesecake. The pie was light and refreshing and the cheesecake was nice and rich. Perfect ending to our yummy dinner. If you dine here, don't forget to BYOW! They don't charge a corkage fee, so drink up! This restaurant has been opened for as long as I can remember. I remember always coming here when I was in high school for some delicious, HUGE portioned pasta. Decided to check it out again when a friend came to visit from California. It's located next to Foodland on the second floor, above Thai Issan Cuisine, at Market City. There's a parking lot that can get full and really crowded. The stalls are relatively narrow, so be careful when parking! There's additional parking in the back where Ben Franklin's is located. I got the seafood alfredo pasta that came with shrimp, squid, and clams. The portions were a lot smaller than I remembered them to be... but the fragrance of the food smelled soooo good. I couldn't wait to dig in! Took one bite, and it was bland. I added a bunch of parmesan cheese, and it was still relatively bland. I can definitely taste the seafood flavor but there wasn't a really "savory" flavor that stuck. My pasta did get a lot tastier overnight, surprisingly! I loved how there was a lot of seafood. TONS of clams and squid which was great! My friends all got the Lobster & Shrimp Creme pasta (odd man out). It was also kind of bland too. Didn't really taste the lobster flavor as it said there was. My friends also thought it was kind of bland even after drenching their plates with parmesan cheese. We all shared a fried calamari (super oily and chewy, which showed it was kind of old) and the garlic cheesy bread (used to be soooo good; now just eh). I did love the cheese pull though.
