We were craving for some Italian food. We headed to our favorite restaurant Win-Spuntino located in the Market City Shopping Center. Located on the second floor overlooking Foodland Supermarket. Locally owned and operated. They were very busy but service was excellent as always. We ordered the Cheesy Garlic Bread with Salami. It comes with some of their Marinara sauce. Prepared fresh and served hot. Delicious . I had the Shrimp and Scallop Ala Bolla. Prepared with a Garlic and White Wine Sauce. Fresh Shrimps and Scallops served with Spaghetti and Sweet Peas . We also ordered the Chicken Saltimbocca. Chicken thighs covered with ham, cheese, and spinach over Linguine and the Scallops Milano ( Scallops prepared with Onions, Mushrooms, Spinach, and Bacon in a Garlic Butter White Wine Sauce). The Bacon takes it over the top . Highly recommended

I got an unexpected opportunity to eat here last night. My flight to the islands was significantly delayed, so I missed my connections at HNL, had to unexpectedly overnight it and needed a dinner plan. The silver lining was my chance to eat at Win's! That I could have gone to any number of great local or tourist spots for a great meal but elected to go here should tell you something. I have been here several times since my original review. I can confidently say that everything I wrote 7 yrs ago still applies and is in full effect. Same place, modest decor, generous BYOB policy, awesome staff, and fantastic food. Given that, this place remains my one "don't miss" eatery when I am in Oahu. I'm still amazed that I have to travel over 4,000 miles from my home base to get a meal like this, in the middle of the Pacific Ocean no less! My tactical plan to approach a meal here is this. Go to their website and make an auto Google reservation. I did it from my flight when I realized I was spending the night in Honolulu without a plan. Arrive in the area early and stop at Fujioka's Wine Shop to get something awesome to drink with dinner. Have Fujioka's put the bottle in their Quick chiller for several minutes and it will be the perfect drinking temperature. Walk up the slope to the restaurant, sit at the table they have diligently set aside for your reservation, have them open your great bottle choice and be prepared to feed your face. On the short walk up from the wine shop, there will be no doubt about where you are going because you can smell the cooking garlic wafting all over the place drawing you in like a moth to flame! Years after my first discovery visit and this place still delivers an outstanding meal with one of the best clam sauce, linguine dishes around! It hasn't changed in 7 years and I hope it never does. If you are local, go support this community gem. If you are visiting, take a break from the tourist district food and go eat in the local neighborhood. I always do so here and they still get all five stars from me!

Located in Market City near Foodland up the stairs by Thai Issan, Win-Spuntino is an Italian spot with a variety of pastas, salads, and more. They have a pretty decent offering size of pastas from pastas with seafood to chicken, vegetables, and more. The place is on the smaller side with a few tables inside. It has a pretty casual and clean feel with dark wood red and white plaid tables. The people working are nice and efficient with the orders. We got the pasta with meatballs and sausages, and the pasta with chicken and vegetables. The portions are quite large, and usually last us a couple of meals. The pastas were solid and a little on the sweeter side with the sauce. I prefer a bit more of a salty pasta. The pastas were about $20, which seemed to be a good value for the amount we received. We'll try another of the many pastas next time!

This is one of the family's favorite spots. Very family friendly, simple and quaint- casual dining location. We have dined in with a large group, many times and always receive great service. The menu is very large so we always have a hard time choosing what to try on each visit. Portions are super generous and we leave "fat and satisfied" and with leftovers for later! The cheesecakes are homemade with a fun wide variety to choose from. All were delicious and great tasting sizes for sharing with the group.

What a delightful surprise! I visited this spot years ago when they first opened, and today I was lucky enough to return for lunch with a friend. We arrived at 11 AM to find a bright, fresh dining room that immediately felt welcoming. It's BYOB, and the menu is both creative and reasonably priced--a rare find these days. I ordered the chicken piccata, and the moment it arrived, the rich aroma of garlic, capers, and Parmesan filled the air. Every bite was perfectly balanced, and the pasta was cooked just right. My friend had the chopped clams, which were just as delicious--and we both had generous portions to take home. This is definitely going to be my new go-to spot for lunch meetings. The owner and his son were both on staff, and they couldn't have been more warm and welcoming. I'm so grateful for the experience and highly recommend you give this place a try. You'll be glad you did!

First of all clean, bright, small restaurant. For my fellow Christians who wants to support a Christian restaurant this is the place. Server and owner gave us service and it was great service no complains always checked on us. Food was wonderful, tasty and LARGE portions. We also ate bacon cheese bread delicious and camprese salad, crunchy tomatoes...My fave! We sadly didn't have room for dessert but they have a wonderful variety of cheese cakes. We will definitely be coming back and bring the family. We left with a happy dance after all this great food.

We arrived with no reservations and limited expectations. I was super hungry and over traffic so we pulled in to Market City to try this place out. Lots of people were doing take out but we opted for dine in. We were greeted and seated at a cozy table near the windows. This is a small spot, but they have a lot of options on the menu. Our server greeted us, took drink orders, shared the specials for the day and let us peruse the menu. We opted on the clams casino and garlic cheese bread for appetizers. The clams were hearty and rich, the bread was perfect for sopping up extra clam toppings. The special seafood diavolo and chicken marsala were our appetizers. The special pasta was filled with seafood but was missing something I couldn't put my finger on. The Marsala was delicious. Parking at Market City is always kind of a pain, but it was worth it for this dinner,

We grew up in Kaimuki and this was a hidden gem then. Fast forward after living on the mainland for four years and recently moving back home, it is a treasure to see that this gem is STILL here! I love that it's casual and BYOB. It means they are focusing on the meal and that IS the reason you go out to eat right :) With super friendly service, we were warmly welcomed when we arrived for our dinner reservation. Without any hesitation, they graciously brought wine glasses and a bucket of ice for the bottles of wine that we brought in. Our server mentioned the two entree specials for the evening and gave us a moment to decide. Since we were there for early dinner, our order was cooked fresh and served expeditiously. Hard to believe that such delicious entrées were served so quickly. And yes, we smelled the aroma from their open kitchen and observed them cooking away. We started with the salad sampler and garlic bread. Those were great appetizers and perfectly sized to share among four. I was pleasantly surprised with their lamb chop and pasta special. Grilled up just right and served with a smokey tomato sauce, loved it. Famous for their huge slice of lasagna, this was also fresh with melted cheese and we added mushrooms. Big enough for two people to share! We also had a scallop capri which had large tender scallops over pasta with a white wine sauce, super good. Our favorite was the shrimp and scallop over pasta with a lobster creme sauce. On point! Incredibly tasty and not too thick with heavy cream. Everyone at our tabled enjoyed this dish the most! As most of the positive reviews shared, these are large portions and we gladly packed up leftovers so we had space for dessert. No joke, if you appreciate tart passion fruit, their fresh batch of lilikoi cheesecake is the winner! We also had their mud pie ice cream slice, which was also completely finished by the end of our delicious dine in experience. Thank you for another great dinner. So glad that this treasure is still in the neighborhood. Cheers to many more :)

It was recommended by my very Italian friend so of course I had to try it. I had the daily special. Honestly I was not blown away. It was a typical tomato based pasta with seafood. Service was good, chef was pleasant. Pretty low key in the decor so I consider it pretty casual. We weren't rushed so it was nice to be able to hang out and chat.

Special for the day. Lobster, scallop, clams , shrimp and calamari in white wine garlic butter sauce.

This place is always consistent with amazing Italian food. I'll order clams casino as well if i had more room. Service is quick and friendly. Very nice place for low key family dinners. They have promotion right now for gift cards $80 for $100.

Hidden above Thai Issan in market city shopping center. Large portion Italian food and desserts. We usually order takeout because there's limited dine in seating that can feel a little claustrophobic. Service is always friendly and prompt. They have a huge menu that can pretty much cater to any of your request. They also have yummy cheesecakes that are worth checking out.

Special seafood Pasta, Lobster, Shrimp, Scallops, so large that we shared the fish.

Seafood Pasta We haven't been to Win-Spuntino for a while, we finally had a chance to have Italian food again and were not disappointed. The chef came out and described the special that he had and we were sold. Seafood Pasta with Lobster, Shrimp, Scallops on Pasta. We shared the dish and also ordered their Salad Sampler, A little of all their salads. The food is just as I remember and will definitely be back again. The location is at the Market City Shopping Center and up the stairs next to Thai Issan restaurant.

It's time for me to update my review and I note that it's been 5 years since I've dined here last. A few things remain constant and the same and they are 1) parking, 2) Chef and Owner Ken still pleasant, 3) price point... $25, 4) BYOB no corkage This visit, I had their shrimp alfredo and my dining partner had the chicken and sausage marinara. We shared an appetizer, their bread with bacon and cheese. Yes, we had our own wine. It never ceases to amaze me the quantity and size of each order. I ate what I could and carried with me 2/3 of my meal. I'm still nibbling away at it. The bacon and cheese bread was okay. They may want to char the top a bit as the bacon (at least on my piece) didn't seem cooked enough. Go early so you can get a seat. Parking available on the lower deck area (outside Mezzo and Ben Franklin Crafts). My suggestion for 2 diners? Order ONE entree, ONE salad or appetizer and share... Call it good with that.....

They also have a private parking lot, which is always a plus. Service was good, and they offer pizzas in addition to their pasta dishes. I ordered the Linguini Pink Scampi, which was quite tasty. The pasta was generously coated in a rich, creamy pink sauce, with several large shrimp nestled throughout. The dish was hearty and satisfying, although my only complaint was that the shrimp still had their tails attached, which made them a little inconvenient to eat. My spouse ordered the lasagna, which arrived covered in a generous layer of melted cheese and Parmesan. It looked rich and hearty, but he found it a bit too gooey, with what he felt was too much red sauce and cheese. The lasagna noodles were also overcooked, taking away from the overall texture. For dessert, I had the Affogato. The creamy vanilla gelato slowly melting beneath a shot of espresso made for a simple but enjoyable finish to the meal. The contrast between the rich coffee and sweet, cold gelato was quite nice. Overall, it was a good experience. There were a few things that could have been better, but we'd definitely consider coming back again to try some of the other dishes.

We ordered the Midollo Osseo, roasted bone marrow topped with pesto and served with toasted sourdough, and Cavoletti di Bruxelles, fried brussels sprouts in brown butter with Italian sausage, topped with dried cranberries, sliced almonds and Parmesan. Both appetizers were delicious! The bone marrow was unctuous and flavorful. The brussels sprouts were good but we boxed half of the order. Most restaurant reviews are corporate fluff, but this place actually gets the fundamentals right :)…read morereal hospitality without the fake, scripted nonsense. The staff here is genuinely easy-going, funny, and attentive without hovering. Massive personal shoutout to Randy and Madison :3 I have a weirdly specific fascination with having tons of fresh mint in my drinks, and instead of treating it like an annoying off-menu hassle, they owned the request and happily kept it coming. That kind of effortless, 10/10 service is rare. Randy and Madison turned a simple dinner into one of the actual highlights of this trip. If you want great food backed by people who actually care about doing their jobs well, come here

Space: Crowded. We made a reservation so we got an indoor table. The sun was shining on us the entire time and it got uncomfortably hot. The window didn't seem to have a tint and the window shade gave little to no coverage in the spot we were at. It made me not want to make room for dessert. Service: Attentive. I liked the informational experience when the cacio e pepe is cooked in front of you. The only thing that bothered me was I wished one of the workers would wear a headband and wipe his sweat with a towel versus the back of his hands before handling plates and food. Price: Average price for a touristy neighborhood.

We were seated near the doors which lead to the patio, against a wall with really neat paintings. It was the first thing I noticed, so figured it deserved a mention. We started with the dinner with bread, butter and beverages, as should everyone. yummm. I enjoyed the espresso martini made with rye and cold brew on ice. It was different, but I appreciate the flavors. Each corner of the table ordered different meals, but I shared the clam noodle special and homemade gnocchi. The noodles were interesting, like al dente saimin without the broth. I liked it! The gnocchi was not my favorite because the texture was kind of strange, very soft. I will note that the server did let us know it was made without potatoes. We ended the meal with one of each desert and a round of green tea shots! The tiramisu was my favorite. Thank you Giovedi!

We arrived about 15 minutes early for our reservation and waited several minutes without being…read moregreeted. The inside is fairly small, so I understand why there may not have been a traditional hostess stand, but regardless, no one acknowledged us or let us know what was going on. Several bartenders and servers saw us, and while one waiter briefly said hello, no one checked us in or offered to find someone who could help. After a few minutes, I went toward the back to find a staff member, while another person in my party went toward the middle of the restaurant to get the host's attention. The host asked if we had been checked in, and when my sister explained that we hadn't been helped yet, she told us to go back and wait in the front. Her tone came across as somewhat condescending, and we weren't given any information about our reservation or how long we would be waiting. While we waited, we all noticed the host whispering to a server, who then looked directly at us. I don't want to assume what they were discussing, but given the interaction we'd just had, seeing her whisper to the server and then having the server look directly at us made the situation feel awkward and unprofessional. We eventually decided to wait outside, and about five minutes later, the host came out and seated us right at our reservation time. There were plenty of open seats on the patio, where we were ultimately seated, so it felt like we could have simply been acknowledged when we arrived and given some basic information about our reservation. Our server was friendly, but unfortunately, the service was minimal. He only checked on us a couple of times throughout the meal. We later found out that the host who talked to my sister was actually the co-owner of the restaurant, which made the experience more disappointing. I was taken aback by the lack of professionalism, especially seeing her repeatedly whispering with staff directly in front of us. Again, I can't say what was being discussed, but regardless, I don't think that type of interaction creates a very professional impression for someone representing their own restaurant. To me, it doesn't really matter how good the food is if the service is poor. Service can make or break an entire dining experience, and unfortunately, the food wasn't particularly impressive either, so there wasn't much to redeem the experience. For the price, I expected a lot more in terms of both the quality of the food and the overall experience. I understand the restaurant was busy, especially around the bar. However, the biggest issue was the lack of communication and professionalism throughout the experience. We were there celebrating a birthday, and unfortunately, it wasn't what we had hoped for. Overall, there are plenty of places where I'd rather spend this kind of money and receive both good food and service. I hope they take this feedback seriously and work toward creating a more welcoming and professional experience for their guests. I'm not leaving this review simply to criticize or tear down the restaurant, but I do think businesses should be open to honest feedback and use it as an opportunity to improve. I hope they are able to take the feedback in that spirit. Aloha.

We ordered the Repetti pizza and fettuccine with diavolo sauce and meatballs. We also had the Caesar salad and focaccia bread with marinara sauce. Our server was Grace. Grace was so friendly and knowledgeable and professional. In addition to the food, Grace made the dining experience exceptional. We sat outside and even though it was a very hot day, the temperature was very comfortable under the roofed area. The Pinot Grigio was excellent! Our meal was brought out in a timely manner and Grace was an attentive server. The Caesar dressing is perfection! The diavolo sauce was delicious and just-right spicy. We loved the meatballs and the fettuccine was cooked perfectly. The pizza!!!!! Wow. Just the right amount of crisp in the crust and the toppings were a delicious combination of flavors. The focaccia with marinara could have been a meal for me. The bread was hot and crispy while also being soft and savory. I couldn't get enough of the marinara. We had a lot of leftovers and ate some for dinner and still have more for tomorrow. Repetti's will be a new place for us to dine and bring friends as often as possible. We were so impressed and could not have wanted any of the experience to be different. Fantastic in every way!

My father and brother are both military veterans and enjoyed the fact that this venue was situated at a golf course they patronized before. We all ordered drinks--I ordered a bottle of wine, taking advantage of the Half-off Wine Wednesdays; some tried the alcohol specials and others simply elected to have soda. I ordered a few appetizers for the table and those went quickly: calamari, bruschetta, and artichoke dip. Yum! Main entrees followed and everyone seemed to enjoy their selections. We ordered dessert and were disappointed that they ran out of creme brulee...my father ordered the cheesecake and thoroughly enjoyed it. My only reason for not giving five stars has to do with the outdoor seating. I wish the chairs were more comfortable, as we sat there for awhile, waiting for our server to take our large group order along with waiting for food to come out. There is adequate parking and the restrooms are clean and accessible. An elevator is located in the lobby for those who are not able to easily climb the flight of stairs to the venue. I wish the signage was better, as my 74 year old father took the outside steps, as he thought that was the entrance, per signage downstairs.

I don't know how the elderly lady with walker was able to get up the stairs or they weren't able to dine there. I didn't mind this place. It's not like Assaggio, but more like Olive Garden. Food was okay but the view and ambience were nice, especially at Christmas at Night! It's a huge restaurant with seating for parties with a lot of free parking shared with the golfers at the golf course. Indoor and outdoor seating. The last time, my friends weren't too impressed, but we did try variety of dishes from pizza, salad, pasta and appetizers. They have some specials from time to time. So sad that tomorrow is their last day of business according to my friend. Sad to see many restaurants are closing soon.
