Amazing taiyaki spot! There's not too many in the SGV and they offer them at such an affordable price with tons of filling options. We also got a plain milk soft serve and it was probably one of the creamiest milks soft serve we've ever had. The self serve toppings bar is also a nice touch. The taiyaki came out pretty quick as well and [[HIGHLIGHT]]they are located right next to golden deli, perfect to spot to grab some dessert after a warm bowl of pho.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]
Second Visit & Still Such a Fun Dessert Spot! [[HIGHLIGHT]]This was our second visit here, and once again the service and ambience were very welcoming.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a smaller dessert spot with about 3-4 tables available, but it gives off a cozy and chill vibe that we really enjoyed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This time we got the half-and-half milk and ube ice cream with taiyakis filled with: * taro * red bean * custard * cheesecake * nutella And honestly... I was really surprised that the cheesecake filling was actually delicious! Creamy, smooth, and definitely something I'd order again. The taiyaki itself was warm with that nice slight crisp on the outside, and paired perfectly with the ice cream. Overall, such a fun spot for dessert and definitely a must-try if you're craving taiyakis and ice cream. Happy eats!
My boyfriend and I came to With Love for some desserts. This plaza is really busy and parking is tight, sharing its' parking lot with Golden Deli and Bopomofo. They were really busy but the staff was really nice and efficient. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There are a few tables inside the quaint dessert shop.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My boyfriend and I shared a Taiyaki Ice Cream ($7.95) with custard filling and ube soft serve. We also got some of the Taiyakis ($7.20 for 3) and opted for the custard, cheesecake, and cookie butter. Since it was busy and we knew it would take a while so we browsed the other retail businesses nearby. I noticed how considerate the staff was, as she waited for us to come back to dispense our soft serve ice cream, so it doesn't get soggy. It was much appreciated. I also notice that they premade some taiyaki shells for the soft serve ahead of time to cool so it doesn't melt the ice cream, but it lacks the warmness of a fresh taiyaki that the regular taiyakis have. I'm glad we got both to experience the best of both worlds. I can definitely see us coming back when we're in the area since we enjoyed the treats and the service is so considerate. Excited to try the new flavors they have in the future.
I came to this location on a Friday right after lunch time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The store was, as always, clean, tidy and well-put together.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The lady at the cash register was fast and efficient and I was able to, once more, get a taste of one of the best ice cream shops in all of the SGV. The Pure Milk is my favorite flavor but I've had friends try ube and matcha and it seems like they also do those well. There's also unlimited toppings, which is a nice touch, but honestly, the ice cream portion is big enough that even with a moderate amount of toppings, you'll be quite full. Also, highly recommended to not just get the ice cream by itself, but to also get the taiyaki with it. 10/10, highly recommended!!
Easily my favorite taiyaki place!!! I love how there are so many different sweet and savory flavors. The dole whip swirl with custard taiyaki is delicious. The family wanted something sweet after dinner so we came here. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Always greeted by a smiling face and the delicious aromas of taiyakis in this small, bright, airy shop.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Hubby and I got the ube and matcha soft serve and our son got the matcha soft serve with sso teok taiyaki. I also got the Dubai pistachio mochi. That was absolutely delicious! Love the amount of kaitafi and pistachio cream was given with the chewy mochi skin dusted with cocoa powder was the perfect combo, not too sweet and more crunch than the actual Dubai chocolate itself.

The Taiyaki were made fresh and we got the 5 for $12 deal. We ordered Nutella, red bean, custard, cheesecake and cookie butter that tasted like Biscoff cookies. My favorite was the Nutella and cookie butter. There was a line out the door for the entire time we were there and they were cranking out sweets the entire time. I was on a sugar high but well worth it. Plenty of strip mall parking and they have street parking too. Come and get your taiyaki and pineapple dole fix.
I absolutely love their pineapple dole whip It's so delicious! I think this is one of the few places in SGV that offers pineapple dole whip, it's so good. Taiyaki is also one of my favorites. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I recommend this little shop, it's always packed with people who enjoy their taiyaki.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The taiyaki is so crispy and delicious, I often order it and then go back to pick it up because parking is difficult there. But I still recommend it to anyone who loves sweets, it's definitely worth a visit.
Came last night & the service was good, the cashier was nice and she was quick to make our order fresh while assisting other customers I like how fresh the taiyakis were & how many filling toppings they had! My favorite filling was the Nutella and custard We got the pineapple, pure milk, & ube icecream. My favorite was the pure milk as it wasn't too sweat but felt like a classic I like how they have their own self serve topping station
Sweet treats from a small ice taiyaki shop. Went on a weekday after lunch - parking was pretty easy in the plaza. Wasn't too busy as school was not out yet. Ordered a vanilla ice cream with red bean taiyaki. My friends ordered an ube version and a matcha green tea ice cream. Was all pretty good for the price. Not a lot of room to sit and congregate - but luckily was not busy.

Recently moved to San Gabriel and decided to give this place a try. The first time we visited, we ordered five taiyakis, and one of the male workers prepared them with a generous amount of filling. They were delicious, so we returned a few times after that. Unfortunately, today's experience was disappointing. The female worker barely put any filling in the taiyakis. At $2.70 each, the quality doesn't match the price when the filling is so sparse. For comparison, SOMISOMI offers five taiyakis for $8.95, while this place charges $12 for five. At that price, I'd expect better quality, quantity and consistency, but that's just not what we got today. read more

Taiyakis are tasty and definitely best enjoyed when it's fresh off the grill. Purchased the 5 for $12 which was slightly discounted and their matcha soft serve. Soft serve was a bit sweet and not creamy enough but they did offer unlimited toppings in the front. The addition of the taiyaki was a nice touch. Parking is difficult since it's shared with the known golden deli. Service was quick and store was small with limited seating. read more
Parking- A Shared lot with bopomofo and golden deli, pretty busy but still a good amount of parking. Service- A Workers are nice and lines move really fast. The taiyakis and soft serve come out really quick and always fresh. Food- A Ordered a dole whip and pure milk swirl soft serve that is excellent. The pure milk was creamy and the dole whip provides that nice fruity addition. Also ordered 3 taiyakis (red bean, custard, and mozzarella dog) which were all fresh and extremely crispy. The mozzarella dog was definitely the star with solid cheese pull and the dog was also really good. Lastly, the peach mango smoothie is also good but probably can be better at a boba shop. Overall, everything was excellent. Ambiance- B Restaurant is clean but no AC when I went. Felt hot especially with the taiyakis being made front of house. Good amount of seating inside and outside the shop. Price- B Overall, prices were good especially with the outrageous prices shops are charging these days. The taiyaki was 3 for ~$6 and the swirl and smoothie were also around $6 a piece. Overall- A- Always enjoy coming to check out new shops like these in the SGV. Definitely give this place a try if you are in the mood for some dessert. read more

My favorite is the cream cheese and custard filled fish pancake/taiyaki. My son likes cream cheese and cheese with a hotdog. My husband likes the limited time sweet green pea. Love the do it yourself topping station, but it gets kind of messy. read more
the custard taiyaki was chef's kiss! i absolutely loved the taste of the batter and the light custard filling. the ice cream, however, was just ok. the ice cream started melting as soon we started eating and the matcha flavor was more milky than i thought. i'd come back for the taiyaki though! read more

This spot is fun and delicious - they satisfied my craving of a sweet frozen treat and savory small bite. The space is small with only a few stools on the side and a long sitting bench in the middle of the customer area - it's really a quick service restaurant (QSR) grab-and-go kind of place. They are known for their taiyaki pastries - a Japanese fish-shaped (tai) waffle (yaki, cooking style). The most popular and traditional filling is with red bean, but my personal favorite is filled with nutella. I ordered a creamy and sweet taro smoothie. My husband ordered the Pure Milk & Dole Whip swirl with a cream cheese filled taiyaki. He loves sweet and spicy, so he added plenty of Flamin' Hot Cheetos crumble - very tasty. My cousin ordered the Girardelli Chocolate soft serve with a red bean filled taiyaki. For her kids, my cousin also ordered three taiyaki, each filled with either nutella, cream cheese, and Mozz-Dog (mozzarella cheese and hot dog). So yummy!!! read more
I've been eyeing this matcha dessert place for a while as my wife loves matcha. We finally had an opportunity to try this dessert place, which is quite reminiscent of other taiyaki ice cream places in Los Angeles. I love that With Love comes with a self service topping station, that's awesome. We ended up ordering a matcha taiyaki ice cream. For the taiyaki itself, we ordered red bean taiyaki on top. Like many desserts, this matcha taiyaki ice cream was quite pretty and Instagrammable. I ended up adding oreos and some honeycomb cereal from the self service topping station. I like that the ice cream is served in a cup with the taiyaki placed on top, as it allowed me to reduce the risks of ice cream falling down. I alternated between eating the taiyaki and the ice cream. The combination of taiyaki, matcha, and red bean, is always awesome. The red bean was fresh. The matcha had that slightly bitter after taste that I love with matcha. My friend and I wanted some dessert after eating lunch nearby. With Love is a small and clean establishment next to Golden Deli. It's basically a ma and pa version of Somi Somi in SGV. I appreciated the owner/chef's Cordon Le Bleu degree next to the register. Staff was friendly. We got the milk soft serve with custard taiyaki. Everything tasted fresh. I liked the light and sweet soft serve, and the crispy airy texture of the taiyaki. Seems like the cream cheese taiyaki is a Yelp favorite, so I would get that next time. read more

With Love is a new sweet spot that opened recently, around mid February. It's located in the same plaza as Golden Deli, so parking will be a bit tight. The color theme inside is perfect for a dessert place. It's not big inside but they do manage to squeeze in some seating areas. They are known for their freshly made taiyaki, a waffle like shell in the shape of a fish that has a crispy shell and a chewy mochi like texture inside. You have your choice of fillings: red bean, custard, Nutella, cream cheese and mozzarella-dog ( hot dog & mozzarella) we tried all except the cream cheese. The red bean is my favorite. It comes ho and has a sweet, syrupy red bean filling and is so good when eaten fresh. The custard, Nutella we're both good and the mozz dog can be a great snack, although I prefer to have just a bit less cheese. Since they are all freshly made to order, I'm sure you can request it. They also have unique flavors of soft serve to go with the taiyakis, which we will try next time. The order takes roughly 5 minutes to make and they suggest you wait another 5 before biting into it to avoid burning your eager mouth. These can be taken home, fridged and reheated in a toaster oven for that crispy texture. The service is great, and they are very friendly, which is what I always look for in a small business. It's rare I get excited over taiyakis, especially when I came here after a huge lunch nearby, but I ended up eating a few of these because they were so good. read more
The ice cream with brown sugar syrup taste like brown sugar milk (duh!). It's tasty and milky. Not as smooth as honeymee tho. Taiyaki - waffle alone is 10/10, filling not so great. The waffle batter is so crispy on the outside and chewy when you bite, it's perfect! The filling is too less. I like that it highlights the waffle, but the husband (and probably most people) like a lot of filling. The nutella is a safe pick & it has nuts inside (texture!). The custard feels like it got cooked and not very custardy. The red bean is probably our least favorite (the husband doesn't like it because it has whole beans & I don't like it because it's way too sweet, I like the bean texture tho). Came here on a rainy night and thought the crowd & long line outside the store is for Golden Deli. Well Golden Deli closes at 9pm, this place is busy! read more
This new taiyaki/soft serve dessert spot just opened up next to Golden Deli. Taiyakis are made fresh to order and filled with generous amount of filling! I also tried their soft serve and I enjoyed the matcha soft serve with red bean taiyaki the most. The milk soft serve tasted just like milk and was really good with the strawberry drizzle which had small bits of strawberry. They offer free toppings which you can add to your own liking on the side. Here were the taiyakis I tried: Red bean 4.5/5 Hot dog mozzarella 4/5 Nutella 3.5/5 Cream cheese 2/5 Custard 4/5 Overall I loved their red bean taiyaki and matcha soft serve. It makes a great treat and I would definitely recommend trying them out! read more
RIP Labobatory. I had a completely filled out stamp card when the pandemic hit and learned that they no longer accepted them. I'll always reminisce of how delicious and unique their drinks were. Truly lost a real one. ANYWAYS. With Love took over the space that Labobatory used to be located, so know that this plaza gets extremely fisted and busy and by virtue of being a very food heavy plaza, this location is also quite busy with people grabbing dessert right after their meals. Since Somi Somi gone from the Santa Anita Mall, the foodie ecological niche for taiyaki and taiyaki ice cream have been left empty for With Love to fill in (I guess there's the Angel and Devil dessert place but I want to say their focus is much more on their mocha donuts). Once again, just know that it does get pretty packed here and it takes some time for them to get your orders ready since the taiyaki is made fresh. There's the option for single flavor for the ice cream or for swirls. They also have milk shakes, taiyaki on its own without ice cream, and other beverages. When we went the options were milk ice cream, black sugar milk ice cream, swirled with Pineapple Dole Whip (or Dole Whip on its own) or Ghirardelli chocolate and matcha swirled together or on its own. Your taiyaki comes with a choice of filling such as: Nutella, custard, or cream cheese. For a nominal fee you can add some fancier toppings but there's a free topping stations as well with options such as Oreo cookie crumble, Biscoff cookie crumbs, condensed milk, salted caramel drizzle, sprinkles, etc. My friend and I both got the swirled chocolate and matcha taiyaki ice cream and it's good stuff! The ice cream was nice and milky without being too icy, the taiyaki was nice and crispy on the outside. Great sweet dessert. **Uber Eats delivery review** My partner surprised me with a delivery of With Love, (what a fitting place to surprise me with!) and I loved it! For the order we got: DRINKS: -Coconut Strawberry Smoothie (5/5): SOO delicious!! The coconut and strawberry combo mashed so well, and I love the texture of smoothies! This one was my favorite -Black Sugar Milk Smoothie (5/5): I wasn't sure what black sugar was but Google says that it's sugar that does not have the molasses removed and hasn't had the molasses removed, so the flavor has smokey and caramel notes. It definitely tasted like that! Very delicious FOOD: 1 each of the nutella, red bean, and custard taiyaki (5/5): The store attached a note with instructions on how to reheat before consuming and it was such a kind gesture! My partner and I were actually so excited we hate it without hahah but each were very tasty still! My favorite was the nutella. Review is for the soft serve (sampled) I came in inquiring about samples because I don't like commitment for food if I happen to dislike it lol The ice cream melts kinda quick, it's on the icey side, and is less rich/dense than other places. Matcha wasn't a strong matcha flavor, but milk was had more flavor. The milk flavor here doesn't compare to the roti bread place in hacienda heights. I'll have to come back and try the taiyaki, but the ice cream is a pass for me. Service is nice enough to let me sample, so thank you. read more

Easily one of my fav new dessert spots!! Cute little dessert shop with big flavor. Came to pick up some treats to take home for myself and the hubby. He's super adventurous and told me to order whatever's recommended from the slushy flavors and the friendly employee advised to try the Lychee. Lychee it is. Omg I opened a straw to taste it and almost drank it all on my own. Poor slushy didn't have a chance to make it home. So delicious and refreshing and satisfying. Had real little pieces of lychee in it. I ordered a cup taiyaki and opted for the milk flavor soft serve with a Nutella taiyaki. Now the taiyaki is brushed on the inside with the Nutella and crispy perfection on the outside. Basically like the most delicious ice cream cone you've ever had. The soft serve itself was flavorful and milky. I scooped some soft serve inside of the taiyaki and bit into it and it was heaven. Also grabbed a couple of taiyakis to take home for the hubby to try. I've been eyeing this place for a while so decided to stop by today to get some goodies for the family. I just got some taiyakis because the ice cream would've melted by the time I got back. I got the custard, Nutella and cookie butter flavor. They were all delicious but my favorite is the cookie butter. Sooo good! Employee working behind the counter was very friendly and even offered me a bag because she saw that I was holding a bunch of stuff. Great little spot for dessert when my sweet tooth kicks in. Found this place after we had lunch nearby and craving something sweet. I love SomiSomi but the locations are out of the way so I don't go that often and I am so glad I found this place. It's located in the same plaza as Golden Deli so parking can be difficult especially during peak times. The interior is very clean and there's a bar type of seating with a bench in the middle where you can sit and enjoy your treat. The server was very nice as well. We ordered the cup taiyaki which comes with ice cream and taiyaki with your filling of choice. We got the custard filling and chocolate/matcha ice cream combo. The soft serve is good and the taiyaki was fresh with a great texture. My favorite part tho was really the free topping station. My bf and I got to try out different types and as much as we wanted which was really nice. They were also super fresh as you could tell the cereal was not stale and everything tasted great. So happy to have a place like this nearby and plan to come back again. I wonder if they'll change up the ice cream flavors just to switch it up but the options they had were good as well. read more
Rating: 7/10 Aesthetic asian ice cream/dessert spot in San Gabriel. Went here today with my sister to try it out since we had seen various TikToks and the high rating on Yelp. We got there around 1:45PM and there was virtually no line but so many people inside (it was a hot summer day so everyone was enjoying the AC). We ordered a Cup Taiyaki with no filling and matcha ice cream. The portion was good enough for two of us, considering we had just had lunch and wanted a sweet dessert. The matcha was a perfect sweetness level, not too sweet but sweet enough. However, the ice cream was not creamy and felt more icy. Taiyaki had a mochi texture, which was good and reminded my sister of Samanco fish ice cream. I would rate the dessert 7/10, not bad and I would eat it if it was in front of me but I wouldn't go out of my way to get it. Service was very nice and they gave us these cool color changing spoons that changed according to temperature. Overall, I would recommend you come and see if you like this place personally. Although I likely will not be back anytime soon, I think it's worth trying! read more
Summer is finally here and who doesn't love ice cream on a hot, sunny day. I came because of the great reviews, but sadly disappointed with the ice cream here. As you can see from my picture, the ice cream is hollow in the middle. Why they gotta be playing me like that :( I got the taiyaki with the ice cream, and there was barely any filling. Like a lot of the reviews mentioned, the ice cream wasn't as creamy. The only good part was that the ice cream had the right amount of sweetness so it could be palettable for asian people. When I think of soft serve, I just prefer something more creamier. On the plus side, you can put as much topping as you like, and they have those fun spoons where it changed color from the temperature. read more
I want to take everyone I love here! I went here 3x in one week because it's SO good!! There is a framed Bachelor of Business degree in International Hospitality Management from Le Cordon Bleu right by the register which indicates a high level of quality and care for their product. If you want to get flavors "swirled" that aren't in the same machine, they always let you know in advance that the flavors will need to "layered" over one another. So you can "swirl" Milk/Dolewhip or Matcha/Chocolate, but if you want Milk/Matcha the flavors would be "layered." Milk (vanilla) is perfect/brown sugar milk is an elevated version combining that sweet thick caramel I love in brown sugar boba; Dolewhip is a less tart version of what you'd get at Disneyland; matcha literally tasted like soft serve latte; chocolate was perfect too! No matter what flavor of soft serve you get it's all delicious The first time I came I accidentally dropped my taiyaki right after leaving and the owner was so kind to replace it for me free of charge, which I really appreciated All drinks come in a LARGE (24oz) serving which is incredible for the price (& in this economy!) I tried the pistachio shake which was like a softer drinkable version of the Talenti brand pistachio gelato. I came here for the custard fish and my daughter got the mozzarella dog fish. The dough is thin and the custard is made just right. The cashier is sweet and courteous. She said you save $0.50 as you buy more. The ambience is cute and quaint. The parking is always busy so it's easier to park on the street. I highly recommend this place. read more
I was super excited when they opened up a soft serve place in the SGV because there's not really a soft serve place in the SGV. I really wanted to like this place, but it was honestly just okay. If you're not wanting to leave the SGV, but need to satisfy that soft serve craving, this will do. The taiyakis are not bad. This place took over Labobatory, so this is located right next to Golden Deli...which means parking is going to be tough if you're coming during lunch/dinner time. Here are my thoughts on what I got: -- Matcha soft serve: I could barely taste the matcha. It was more milky, and I personally prefer a stronger match flavor, like what they serve at Tea Master in Little Tokyo or Bumsan in K-Town. The consistency was good though. Creamy and not icy. -- Pineapple dole whip - It wasn't very pineapple forward, and I had this syrupy after taste. -- Taiyakis - Generous amount of filling. These are made fresh. I watched them make these, and they really make these "with love". They take the time to perfectly cut the shape and ensure even filling. I'm hopeful that they will adapt and change up their soft serve recipes, since it is brand new. Super friendly staff! I can tell that the family that owns it takes pride in what they serve. Also, they do have an help yourself topping bar = FREE UNLIMITED toppings...but it was kinda messy when I got there. AND the spoon changes color when it touches the soft serve!! As for seating, there's a small counter space and a bench, but it was personally too cramped for me. read more
