I decided to give Wokano another try and omg, that a HUGE mistake! It was so dirty on the floor near the bar where we were sitting. I looked down and I found something horrifying. I wish I took a picture of it but I ran out too fast to do that. I left my food and ran for the hills.

    Eel & Avocado Roll $13.50 for 6 pcs 9/10

First time at this location: Hamachi Good size pieces, sauce was good, doesn't include radish and comes with ginger paste Spicy crab tempura roll $18 Not fair for the price at all - quite surprised this was priced so high, a California roll has more ingredients than this roll. Eel avocado roll $13.50 For the price I felt it was fair - kind of a lot of rice than what I'm used to on a roll Ambiance is dark - has upbeat house music playing which changes the energy and makes it more lively **Happy hour M-F ENDS AT 6PM Service: we walked in and ordered at the front for take out since happy hour had ended earlier than we saw the times posted online *sadface* Someone walked in as we were looking at the menu - seemed to know the workers. We were ready to order and were standing there for awhile. There were 3 people at the desk and it was awkward - they were all engaged with the one guest and kept looking at us then continued talking. One of them was not as engaged and kept looking at us but didn't offer to take our order for like 5 minutes of the back and forth awkward stare lol maybe he was new. But he eventually took our order. Overall it was an awkward situation and probably wouldn't return.

Came in on a Thursday afternoon for lunch with a couple of coworkers. It was a pleasant experience. Good was good, service was good. We sat ourselves near the bar area. Please note their booths and tables mostly seem to be very tall, I'm sure they had more accessible seating options in the main dining room, but I didnt see from where we were sitting. I ordered the lunch time Mongolian beef with white rice, and my coworkers both ordered the kung pao chicken. It was good and for a sit down restaurant, the prices weren't horrible, keep in mind we did order from the lunch time menu. The food came out fairly quickly, first with the salad starter that comes with the lunch special. Not sure how often I will be back, but I did enjoy my experience.

*Delayed post from Jan '25 Stopped here for a late night bite around 11pm since most restaurants are closed by then in Downtown Burbank. The decor gave me Cheesecake Factory vibes and the quality of food was about the same: consistently okay and satisfies everyone's cravings with a large menu, but not a place I'd take someone to impress them. It's slightly above mediocre. Our server was very cheery and our food came out quickly, with quite large portions. Not sure I'll personally stop by again since there's nothing special about their meals, but I see the appeal for families and large groups. It's affordable and has a decent atmosphere, but don't expect to have the best Chinese food of your life.

Family Dinner Value Meal for 2: Mongolian beef & Walnut shrimp.

Family Dinner Value Meal for 2 was a great combo. We got the Mongolian beef and Walnut shrimp. Egg rolls were light and tasty. Everything is carefully packaged for delivery to avoid spilling or broken bottles. Fresh vegetables with every dish. Will definitely order again.

The seating is so cozy!!! I love it ! The lights could be a bit brighter tho haha! Our waitress is so kind! Please give her a raise she's an angel ! For the food I ordered crazy fired rice and garlic noodles with parmesan. So good I was literally drooling ! I recommend the crazy fired rice . Food came out fast! But I only ate 2 pieces of orange chicken because it was rock hard and disgusting so we threw it out :(

Bartender amazing (Sophie), bonus point for the manager crushing solitaire during dinner service. One must be committed to excellence.

First time for me at this location. All my years in Burbank and I have never been to Wokcano. The service was excellent. The staff was on it! The rice was delicious. The orange chicken was not sweet which was different than other orange chicken dishes I have had in the past. The beef and broccoli had lots of meat which was large size portions. The ambiance was nice and quiet which is nice.

Decided to order a late night dinner, which arrived within 15 minutes of ordering. I took a bite and noticed the meat was completely raw - it was literally purple. We had to throw everything away; I also ended up getting sick from it; horrible food. Be aware!

We're from the Central Valley but always make a stop here when we can. We discovered it during COVID and the service was always impeccable. The inside of the restaurant is dimly lit and they always have good music playing. The food is always why I keep coming back. Portions are a good size. The miso has great flavor but could be a little hotter, or warm up the bowl prior to serving to keep it warm. Just a suggestion. ‍

I came into Wokano cause I wanted to take myself out to eat and celebrate a big job. Upon arrival, I could see everyone was focused on watching the FIFA World Cup game. No biggie. The host wasn't super inviting. So I go sit at the one open table at the bar. It's packed and there's only one bartender working I guess. I sat there for 10 minutes waiting for someone, anyone to greet me. Servers and food runners walking past me. Hosts busy watching the game. Then FINALLY after 11 minutes a server who walked past me 4x already asked if the bartender had got my drink order (that's how I know I wasn't in the server's section) I said no but I'm ready to order and I want to close out. The server takes my order and tells me he's gonna let the bartender know cause it's his section.. the bartender delivers my food. Never once introduced himself, never said hello. He did not speak one word to me. I get that maybe he was tied up. But you're never to busy to say a hello. He never checked in my food, Asked me how was anything or if I needed anything. He dropped my check, took payment. Still no word. I am not exaggerating when I say this man didn't even speak to me. Nobody did. I pay, I don't get a thank you have a nice day. Nothing. Now I still tipped because I work in the service industry and I choose kindness. but I do feel it was quite ridiculous that the host were standing around, didn't offer to help out. That nobody came to check on me to see if I needed anything, or if I was satisfied. Like I said I simply wanted to celebrate something big and this experience had ruined said celebration. My food was fine. My sushi coulda used more eel sauce, but the bartender never returned to ask me if I needed anything.. everyone was too focused on watching the game.

I've been to this location a couple times now. It's pretty good. They're pretty sufficient with their service, especially when it's not super crowded. They have large tables available, booth seating, high tables, and the bar. Happy hour is available. Their food is good. Their honey walnut shrimp & garlic noodles are the best! We had an issue with one of the drinks at first, but it was resolved and everything was good. A while back a friend of mine had his bday here, and we brought him a cake, and they let us keep it in their refrigerator until we were ready to sing happy bday.

It's become so much more than just one of our favorite bars and every visit reminds us why we keep coming back. The biggest reason, though, is the people. Hospitality is something that's hard to fake, and the team here does it effortlessly. From the moment you walk through the door, you're greeted like an old friend. Over the years, the staff has created an environment that feels welcoming, comfortable, and genuinely personal, and that's something that's become increasingly rare. Matt, Sabrina, and the entire team are all such gems. Scott also deserves special recognition. He's a huge part of what makes The Rendition Room such a special place. Whether he's introducing a new cocktail, sharing the story behind a spirit, or simply taking the time to check in, his passion and care for every guest shine through. It's people like Scott who transform a great bar into a place you truly feel connected to. On our most recent visit, we tried the new Decade & Debauchery cocktail, celebrating The Rendition Room's 10 year anniversary, and it's phenomenal. Balanced, and beautifully executed. In a city full of great bars, they have managed to create something much harder to find, a sense of community. After all these years, it still feels just as special as the first time we walked in.

With the seemingly ever-changing landscape along Brand Blvd. in downtown Glendale, this establishment has been around since 2012 (which I believe was the first and only time I came here). Primarily known for its inventive craft cocktails and a killer whiskey selection, it was a nice place to sneak away into before or after your main event... or, maybe this could be the place to spend an entire evening. Once we closed out our tabs, we were thanked for coming as we headed out into the night. Everything was chill and easy - thank you! PARKING (Varied; FREE this instance): I parked in the nearby original Glendale Galleria parking structure and simply walked over first to The Americana then to this place. Otherwise, there was limited parking along the main drag of Brand Blvd. and other surrounding side streets, the nearby Glendale Galleria II parking structure, The Americana parking structure that offered validation, numerous public transportation options, and rideshares - 'nuff said! ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A dark cavernous speakeasy-like place with open space, various tables and couches strewn about, and a large long somewhat decorative bar with an impressive whiskey selection displayed behind it. I appreciated the exposed brick walls which gave it that old-time feel with a few framed pictures hung on them. Minimal natural lighting came through the front doors and windows while minimal electric ceiling lights filled in rest. There was at least one projection TV where we watched the Dodgers game while music played in the background. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=24&select=SomLKsk1KVcemeOCHGOZfg ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL It was nice to slip into The Famous Bar for the first time in over a decade, and if I found myself spending time in downtown Glendale again, I'd consider another visit. Sadly, I try to avoid the highly congested area as much as possible. I loved the fact that they had a daily happy hour (4pm-7pm) and late-night SU-TH happy hours (10:30pm-close), so there was always a deal to be found. The drinks were the main reason you came, while the food was just an add-on. The prices were elevated, but you had a good menu selection of libations (nice local craft beer list) to choose from. The customer service was easy, friendly, and straightforward. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $42.00 BEFORE any discounts/tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice...
