Ruby Red Black tea with boba

Delicious! We have been here since it opened and it has become one of our favorites. Consistent and the boba is the perfect texture and flavor. The space is small and quiet. You order on the screen and a person calls your name when it's ready. The Instagram flicker thing is pretty neat too. I love how you can send them your photo and they'll post it on their board. Excited to have them in our community and hope it stays!!

This is a nice anime inspired drink place. Small and cute layout. Anime artwork is line against the walls and there is some seating. There is a wall of the many customers and some pets lol. Good sign of their local customer base and what they mean to the community. Parking is decent and we found a spot easily on a Friday afternoon. There's a good amount of choices. I ordered the Tiramisu duo latte. It was good but tbh, too sweet for me but worth coming back to try it at 75% sweetness. I usually have my drinks at 75% to 50% sweetness but I like to try first time drinks without changes. This spot is worth checking out the other drinks as well. Thank you!

Very sad that I didn't enjoy my drink - golden roasted oolong milk tea. Got it 25% sweet with house milk (lactose free). It really lacked the tea flavor. Was super light. I should have tried something else, might have been better. Interestingly, they offer lactase enzyme tablets as an add-on for only 50 cents in case you're lactose intolerant. First time seeing this at a cafe! The boba was not bad. Not too soft and not too hard. They also have blind boxes as an add-on for an additional $10. They're super cute! Service was great and didn't have to wait too long. Glad that they don't put too much ice for less ice. The interior is my fav! Love the vibes and beautiful artworks displayed. It's a tiny cafe and the parking lot is also tiny. All the spaces are 30 min but the staff said it's not really an issue to stay longer. Dog friendly. I would go back to try other drinks, maybe one of their more popular ones.

The Thai Brûlée latte was so good. The Thai cold foam top was delicious. The Thai tea was a little weak, but it was still really good!

Head to UPS to do your Amazon returns and grab a drink right next door! There's a small parking lot for the drivers but in this case we walked cause we're better than that. Lactose intolerant? Not me. But if you are, they have the option to provide you one. What other business do you know does this? The interior is clean, might I say, pretty dust-free? My mom would be proud. They have a manga library to introduce you to the world of manga. Service is great, the baristas are super friendly. They had to make a new batch of boba and let us know in advance if the wait time was okay. They can also make any adjustments afterwards if needed. The drinks are yummy. I like the chocolatey flavor in the Tiramisu and I wanted something with a little coffee in it. I got 75% sweet but I should've gotten 50%. I'm already sweet enough, I guess. It would be really cool if the Tiger drink had tea in it. I know the standard recipe doesn't have tea in it but maybe this would be a unique drink to draw some customers in. We'll be back! :)

I've been going to Wonder Cha 3+ times a week for several months now, so I feel like I've gotten a really good sense of the consistency of the drinks. Unfortunately, as much as I love many of their drinks, they can be very inconsistent. I almost always order the Tiramisu Duo Latte, and some days it's very watered down. Other days, I can only taste coffee and water; sometimes it's too strong; and occasionally, it's perfect. There used to be a barista named Patricia working here and she was amazing at making all the drinks consistent and high quality. She mentioned to me that ordering no ice requires them to fill the rest of the cup with water. Thank you to Patricia for sharing that, because my entire reason for ordering "no ice" is that I hate when drinks get more watered down as I drink them. When you order "no ice" here, you actually get the opposite effect. I would much rather have a fill-up fee or simply leave room in the cup than receive a watered-down version of a drink I love. The reason I'm giving Wonder Cha a 4/5 instead of the usual 3/5 I would give for drink inconsistencies is because the owners are beyond kind and helpful. Additionally, the baristas I've gotten to know--who genuinely care about forming connections with their regulars--keep bringing me back. Wonder Cha is special because of the incredible attention to detail in the decor, music, seating, and reward system. Seriously, the reward system has to be one of the best and is a big reason I keep coming back. I've been trying to branch out with drinks since my usual favorite has become unreliable. The Ube One is really delicious, both with matcha and coffee. I also really love their classic milk teas--they're very refreshing, and I can tell they're made from real tea leaves, not powders (I appreciate this so much). I've introduced about 4-5 people to Wonder Cha now, and I love coming here with friends--it truly is a special place. My biggest recommendation to the owners, as someone who has worked at a small tea shop before, is to really aim for consistency in drink preparation by using measuring cups and/or food scales, and to listen to your employees. Employees like Thaniel, one of the longest-standing team members, who is great at making drinks and very personable, can offer valuable insight into what needs to be adjusted as the business continues to grow. The employees behind the counter every day are incredibly valuable for that reason.

    Hojicha Roasted Green Milk Tea

Had a sample of the hojicha and immediately had to get the full size. They describe the flavor as nutty, smoky, and chocolatey--and it totally is. The workers are so friendly (offered us the sample!) and the cafe's aesthetic is so cute. It feels so cozy. PLUS they're open late! W

This is our 3rd time coming in the last few months, and it has been consistently amazing. Our tea is more like a sweet treat once we add boba and the creme brûlée topping, but it's worth every calorie (The brown sugar drizzle is to make it look pretty)! Each visit we were treated with kindness. In our first visit, the young lady was patient with us while we asked our questions. She gave us suggestions and offered us samples. We hit it out the park the first time and we keep coming back. The honey boba is made fresh throughout the day (once there was a bit of a wait for it), and the creme brûlée gives the milk tea a deliciously creamy texture. There are about 6 tables inside that is typically filled with someone working on their laptop, and the atmosphere is overall cute and quaint. Parking lot is small, but we have always been able to find a spot. 10/10 - We will be back again

    Ceremonial Matcha Latte
    Taifha B.

The cutest little tea shop in a Palms strip mall! When you walk in there are a ton of instagrammable nooks, like the instagram counter that updates in real time as the follower count grows. You'll also notice the tablets where you can place your order or ring a bell for direct service. I ordered the almond-milk ($0.65 up charge) ceremonial matcha latte at 25% sweetness (not their recommended 75%) without any add-ons like boba. The price was around $8 with tip. The matcha was just okay. There are probably other places I would get matcha from, but I'm interested in trying the box cake so I'll definitely be back!

Rising Phoenix Oolong Milk Tea with Boba and a Fruity Tea Drink (can't remember which)
    Alyssa M.

A good value boba spot! It's hard now to find boba at a decent price. Sometimes they're like $10. But not this spot! It was like $6, maybe $7, with high quality tea and flavors. I've been here twice now and am pleased with it every time. You order at a kiosk at the front, and then they'll make it in the back and call out your name for pick up. I ordered the Rising Phoenix Oolong Milk Tea with boba at regular sweetness level. DELICIOUS! I love a good oolong tea and this did not disappoint. Service was fast and drinks were good. Definitely a regular spot for me!

Was very excited to hear about this new location in Culver City, and the reviews seemed promising, so of course I had to try it out! I ordered the jasmine milk tea, half sugar and with boba. This tea was described as "crisp, floral, and refreshing". I think the descriptions are spot-on! I enjoyed the taste of this tea. The boba was also on the chewier side, but I do prefer this over a boba that is too squishy and soft. Some things to note: The drink ended up being $8, which is a little too steep for what it is. I think something that could implemented is an option to add half boba for half of the price. I'm someone that wants boba, but the usual scoop seems to be too much for me. I would come more often if the prices were more affordable. Most people order on the kiosk located right next to the counter, and I only saw the worker come out when the drinks are ready to be served. I did notice that both the workers emphasized that if we would like any adjustments to the drink, they're able to do that for us. I thought that was nice. The plaza is located in a small parking lot, so there may or may not be spots open but there is a fast turnaround. Something I really enjoyed about this shop are the decorations. The colors of the store are nature-themed with light wood floors. There were a few groups studying as well, which is nice. Overall, I would come more often if their prices were more affordable.

Citrus Kumquat Jade Tea with Boba
    Miranda M.

I was excited to see another boba shop in the neighborhood. The parking lot is small and shared with a few other businesses, so could be tricky if you're going at a higher trafficked hour. It wasn't too crowded on a Sunday afternoon. I ordered the Citrus Kumquat Jade Tea, I was really impressed with the speedy service. I really enjoyed how citrusy the drink was, I couldn't taste the kumquat. The boba was a bit on the harder side. As a fruit tea drinker, there were only 4 options. Hoping in the future they would add more. I'll definitely be back to try the other teas! There also offered a bunch of little desserts that I would liked to try as well.

Looooove this place! Got the strawberry Sakura (seasonal) & hojicha latte and both offered options like oat milk with them. I appreciated the fact that they offered samples (today's was Jasmine & Hojicha) and that it's an easy kiosk for ordering. The co-owner that put out the samples (I wish I got her name) was very friendly and you could tell she takes pride in this tea spot. It does remind me of Japan and hitting up their cafes. I am so happy it's local and filled with delicious, high quality tea options and wishing this place much longevity and good business! Thank you and I'm coming back!! :) Btw- both drinks mentioned = 5/5!!!! (Love that you can adjust the sweetness level too!)

CHAGEE Modern Teahouse is a modern Chinese tea concept that focuses on tea-forward drinks rather…read morethan the typical overly sweet bubble tea experience. We walked into a polished, contemporary space with a premium feel, the kind of place that feels closer to a specialty tea café than a traditional boba shop. The branding, presentation, and overall atmosphere are a big part of the appeal, creating a space that feels designed for both grabbing a drink and hanging out. The interior is clean and intentional, with a design that elevates the experience beyond a typical tea stop. The biggest strength of CHAGEE is the tea quality. The drinks tend to highlight the actual tea flavor, which makes them stand out from many milk tea shops that rely heavily on sugar or toppings. The jasmine-based drinks are a good example, with a fragrant floral profile that comes through clearly without being perfumed. The menu has a nice balance between classic milk teas and more unique tea creations. The drinks are generally less sweet and more focused on the tea itself, so it works well for anyone who wants something different from standard boba. The downside is that the drinks can feel a little expensive compared to other tea shops, especially since most of the appeal comes from the quality of the tea rather than large portions or lots of toppings. The portions are reasonable, but the cost reflects the premium positioning of the brand. The main issue with CHAGEE is consistency and wait times. Some locations can get extremely crowded, and the popularity sometimes creates long lines that make the experience less convenient. The ordering process is usually organized, but the wait can be difficult to justify when the final drink is more of a solid tea experience rather than something completely unique. Service is generally friendly, and the staff seem well trained despite the busy environment. They handle the flow efficiently, but the volume can test the operation's capacity. CHAGEE feels like a premium tea shop aimed at people who appreciate the flavor of tea itself. It is not necessarily the place to go if you want a dessert-like boba drink loaded with toppings, but it is a good option for jasmine tea, oolong, and more refined milk tea flavors. The atmosphere and presentation add to the experience, though the long waits and higher prices may determine whether it becomes a regular stop or just a place to try once. For what it does, it executes the concept well, offering a drink that feels more like a tea experience than a sugary treat.

I wanted to give Chagee a try because of all the hype, but overall, I found it just okay…read more One of my biggest frustrations was that some drinks don't allow you to customize the ice level or sweetness, which is something I generally expect from a tea or boba shop. Being able to adjust a drink to your personal preference is a big part of the experience for me. The store itself is beautiful and clearly designed with social media in mind. It's stylish, modern, and definitely very Instagram-friendly. However, it felt like the focus was more on the branding and aesthetics than on the tea itself. The drinks were decent, but nothing particularly memorable. If you're looking for a trendy spot to take photos or see what the buzz is about, it might be worth a visit. But if you're a serious tea drinker or looking for what I'd consider a true boba tea shop experience, I probably wouldn't recommend it as my first choice.
