Gabin Korean BBQ is a cozy hidden gem in K-town, perfect for gatherings. Valet parking makes it super convenient, and each table easily fits around 6 people with roomy bench seating--great for small groups. The meat is fresh and tasty like many KBBQ spots, but the real standout here is the banchan. Their marinades are a bit different and seriously delicious--especially the cabbage, which is my absolute favorite. I'd come back just for that! Cold noodles are refreshing on a hot day (kids will love it), and the service is a big plus--the staff grills everything for you, so you can just sit back and enjoy. Definitely coming back for more cabbage!

Amazing Ganjang Gejang!!! My friend and I absolutely loved it. I thought the price was a little high but the portion is very big lol The place was very clean. The reason for -1 star... there was a guy who was kind of rude... not only us but to everyone. His attitude was like "uh ok" like he just doesn't want to be there... if you're in customer service just take the fate... Regardless of the customer service, I'd come back to this place. The parking was $4 valet which i think is very cheap! The valet person was nce

Fantastic food service and reasonable lunch prices. I went with a party of 3, we got seated immediately and were served tons of banchan. I remember the cold noodles were really good. And the ventilation is efficient enough where you still smell fabulous after a meal. Highly recommended. Parking might be tough since it's a popular plaza, plan accordingly!

Tried Gabin for the first time because a friend recommended it. I ordered the beef tartare bibimbap. Honestly, before the food arrived, I thought the prices were a bit steep, even for a lunch special. But once the meal was served, it was totally worth it! Unlike most Korean restaurants where you share side dishes, they serve individual banchan sets for each person, which I absolutely loved. The interior is very upscale and elegant, making it the perfect spot for business lunches or dining with people you aren't super close with but want to impress with a great atmosphere. Highly recommend!

4.4 stars My 3rd DineLA experience of 2026. So far, I've had good luck this year in choosing restaurants. In previous years, my luck in choosing restaurants to try wasn't great. This restaurant's DineLA portions were generous and tasty! DineLA price was $25 before tax/tip and $4 valet. This is what I got: Jeon of the day: Got kimchi jeon and it was delicious! The kimchi had a good kick, but wasn't too spicy. 5/5 stars Pumpkin soup: a bit plain, but I think that's the point of pumpkin soup. 4/5 stars Banchans: steamed egg 5/5 stars; pickled spicy radish 5/5 stars; acorn jelly was bland, but ok 3/5 stars; pickled cucumbers 5/5 stars; potato salad 4/5 stars; stirfried fishcake 10/5 stars!! Rice was spectacular! 5/5 stars Blue crab tofu soup: This was pretty good. Frankly, I don't usually order seafood stews because I find the textures of some seafoods to be too tough. In this case, the shrimp was a bit chewier than I'd like, but the clams were great. The crab felt like it sat in the soup a little too long b/c the meat was a little mushier than expected. Otherwise, the soup was delicious. 4/5 stars. Sikhye: the rice beverage was ok. I don't think this is my favorite version of the drink, but it was still good. 3.5/stars Service was friendly. The restaurant is spacious, comfortable, and has a pretty zen vibe. This is one of those restaurants I'd love to come back to, but the valet being $4 is rather off putting. But it's a sacrifice everyone needs to make when coming to dine in Ktown.

I don't have a lot of experience with KBBQ, but this place was fantastic! There was two of us and we ordered their Feast of Gabin A menu for $150 because we like variety. The meats were great and perfectly marinated (my fave was their prime beef cut) and it paired nicely with all of the banchan. I've never been to place with such a huge selection of very tasty banchan and most were refillable! Although there was a lot of food, we didn't get any rice so we did a great job at finishing everything. Service was attentive and parking was easy since you had to valet it for $4. I would definitely come back again but it would have to be for a special ocassion because I hate the drive there.

I came to this restaurant for the Dine LA menu, and I am so glad that I did! The food was so delicious. The service was very friendly and helpful, and I loved the ambience and decor! My meal included soft shell crab with tofu soup, banchan, rice, a pancake, and a dessert beverage. It was enough food that i had leftovers. My friends got the Tartar and Spicy Rib soup. I tried both and loved them. The entrance is a little hard to find. You enter from the small parking lot. There is street parking if you prefer not to valet. I would definitely come back here again

Came here on a Wednesday evening. It's located right across from Yangmani and Here Fishy Fishy. As soon as we walked in and saw many Korean families dining there, we knew it was a good sign and that the food was gonna be authente. We ordered the brisket, prime beef, marinated short rib, and fresh water eel, and I honestly enjoyed every dish. The meat quality was excellent, and I loved that they offered unique, well-prepared side dishes. Everything tasted clean and fresh, and the service and ambiance were great as well. I'll definitely be coming back.

Wow I can't believe how incredible the food is here. This is not your typical Korean bbq. This is elevated and intentional Korean food with impeccable, full table service. I tried the $185 combo today and added a $12 nengmyun. Keep in mind it's Pyeongyang style nengmyun and is different than what you may think is "standard" nengmyun. The meat quality is fantastic here. Really nice marbling. The standout for me was the galbi. So tender and struck a nice balance between the soy and the sweetness for me. The ssam and banchan are also so beautifully presented. The soups at kbbq tend to be an afterthought type of filler dish, but they don't do regular soups here. The doenjang jjigae was made like my grandma makes, with a deep, umami anchovy based broth. They even utilized shiitake mushroom in it, which I have never seen before. Definitely an additional umami flavor to the dish, but this is really what I mean by everything is intentional. The spicy beef rib soup is my recommendation for the soup for the combo. It's like the best yukgaejang/galbitang crossover I've ever had. The clean aftertaste from the radish in it is fantastic. The flavors of the different ingredients used really stood out to me. The nengmyun broth had a deep beef flavor and touch of sweetness that was simply perfect once I added in mustard and vinegar. The noodles are not my personal preference (I like hamheung style), but the broth is just *wow*. I was quite impressed to say the least. The meal combo was enough for 3 of us. They began to really fill up around 6:30. I can't recommend this place enough.

The service is good. Our server was really kind! Younger guy with a nice name. They cook all the meat for you. They're pretty good with their timeliness. I thought it was really cool that the air vent is underneath and so it drains from under the grill. The side dishes are really delicious. I love the lettuce stem side dish that they had also the burdock root. The kimchi is also nice and garlicky. We got combo A and 3 dishes to accompany it. We definitely over ordered. They are known for the North Korean nengmyun which is nice and light. It came at the very end of our meal which we were absolutely full and we thought that they forgot so that's one thing that we didn't like because we asked that it came out it during our meal. The squid appetizer is huge with noodles on the inside and we also got japchae! Lots of noodle dishes The meats were grilled to perfection and marinated perfectly! We were a table of 4 and we were so full!!! Definitely did not finish everything. We came around 5:45 pm and by 7 pm every single booth was taken! On a Monday night! It was sooo busy!! I would definitely come back!

We went to Gabin on Christmas Day, since you can always count on Ktown to be open. We've been wanting to try this restaurant and it over delivered on our expectations! The menu has something for everybody. Great mix of meats and other traditional dishes. And it is all very delicious, but in a subtle, "clean" tasting way. Not overly seasoned with MSG and sugar, or soy. The quality stands on itself and doesn't have to be masked with heavy-handed marinades or sauces. The service was 10/10! The gentlemen (justin and yeoseong?) helping us were so attentive, patient and helpful. The updated space feels authentic yet modern and comfortable. We only made dent on the menu so we'll be going back!

Group of 6 of us came here after a long weekend away from LA. A friend suggested this spot because of their wonderful combos they offer at lunch, and he didn't miss. For the price and quality, it was well worth it. I had the cold noodles and was refueled after taking the first sip. The short was tender and flavorful as well. The inside decor was also nice and modern. Very cool place to take friends and family from out of town. Parking lot is small, valeted and shared. so be wary!

Gabin Korean Grill is THE place to go for true Korean food that hits the soul. I always make sure to get a soup at a Korean spot and this time I got the crab & seafood tofu stew. The stew was hot, comforting, and chock full of seafood like crab, oysters, and shrimp. Now the pork gochujang stir-fry is the dish to get. The marinade is SO good with the addicting sauce, it's literally the perfect spicy dish. We also got the Feast of Gabin set A that feeds 2-3 people. It comes with their amazing side dishes--ugh, I could just eat all these alone and be happy--freshly sliced brisket, prime beef--the marbling on that goes crazy like sheeesh--and the star of the show, the marinated beef rib. Literally SO tender and melts in your mouth. Thanks for reading! ^-^

Me and friend started with drinks at the bar - I got the hwachae milk punch, a pretty pink sip! My friend got the espresso martini, their take made with cold brew soju, Korean coffee mix, and makgeolli. Both were fun, well-balanced ways to kick off the night. Their honey butter chips were pretty delectable - fresh-cut potato, fried until crunchy and airy, then drizzled with a honey butter glaze that channels those nostalgic honey butter chip snacks. The sauce was good but can definitely be a sweetness overload, so if you don't have a sweet tooth, I would avoid ordering. Got the pine nut cold noodles, which was refreshing on a summer day - white noodles in a chilled soy milk broth with pine nut. The pine flavor was pretty subtle, so if you're into that, definitely get this, but for me it was just okay. The pork jowl was delicious though - comes with chili crisp and garlic rice, and we ended up taking some home because we couldn't finish it all! Service was great - we sat at the bar and got to watch the bartender work and chat. Parking can be hit or miss; you can either park in the several garage structures around ktown or the small paid lot in the Danbi plaza, but we came on a Thursday night and it was still pretty busy. Overall, a 9/10 meal with good vibes, cute drinks, and delicious food. Already dreaming about trying the galbi next time I'm here!

We went for the DineLA menu. We had reservations and were immediately seated. Overall, the restaurant had a modern, relaxed vibe. Our server was very personable and helped me choose the Kimchi Mule, which turned out to be an excellent choice. The food started rolling out right away, beginning with the Honey Butter Potato Chips. They were good, but probably not something I would order again. Next came the kimchi watermelon and spicy sashimi noodles, and I was impressed with both. I had a hard time imagining what kimchi watermelon would taste like and was surprised by how much I liked it. The spicy sashimi noodles were the standout for me. I kept going back for another bite and would come back just for those. The Corn and Cheese Roll came out next along with the Pork Jowl. Both were good, although if I returned, I would probably try something different. Up until that point, everything had gone extremely well. The food came out at a good pace, people checked on us, our waters were refilled, and dishes were cleared almost as soon as we finished them. Then we waited. And waited some more. Our server kept apologizing and telling us, "The dessert is coming!" After at least 20 minutes, we started talking about simply leaving without it. I finally flagged down the host and asked if there was a problem in the kitchen because we had been waiting so long for the parfait. A few minutes later, he came back and explained that there was an issue involving the whipped cream. At that point I asked how much longer we were expected to wait. Eventually the parfait arrived, and I couldn't help thinking that we had waited close to half an hour for what amounted to a small dollop of whipped cream on top. To make matters worse, the dessert wasn't very good. We couldn't finish it. I left disappointed, especially because the rest of the meal had gone so well. I know the kitchen delay wasn't our server's fault, but I would have expected someone to proactively explain what was happening or offer us another dessert rather than leaving us sitting there wondering when--or if--it was coming.

If you're searching for some of the city's best pork, then those in the know will bring up Ham Ji Park. For 2 decades, generous platters of pork ribs and pork neck stew decked every table. Now, our Korean friends lament the loss of their favorite pork joint in the city. The Koreatown proper location is located in the Royal Plaza mini-mall, just a few blocks off bustling Wilshire. Discounted parking is available in a lot across the street from the Chevron gas station. From the street, the entrance is flanked by potted plants and an enclosed street-ery. Inside, stainless steel chairs are pressed up against wooden tables, each outfitted with a metal grill. Oppressive fluorescent lighting shines down on the stone grey walls, which are left undecorated apart from a few flatscreens. Multi-lingual chatter blends with the sizzle of platters. I visited with some friends for a weeknight dinner, and about half of the tables were occupied. We shared a spread of grilled platters and sizzling soups. The meal began with a carafe of barley tea and a mostly standard spread of banchan. Across our food, the best dish was the signature Charbroiled Pork Spare Rib. The ribs were flavorful without feeling gamey, and the meat was complemented by sweet caramelized onions. The pork ribs handily outdid the good-not-great Charbroiled Beef Short Rib. Lastly, the Milt and Cod Rose with Vegetables stew was fishy and briny, appropriately flavored for the Korean palate. The service was appropriately attentive, although I would've appreciated more intentional refills of our banchan ramikens. The rib plates cost upward of $35 each, while the soup was just under $30. The portions were hearty; a single entree platter could reasonably feed 2 moderately hungry bellies. It's a shame to hear that Ham Ji Park has closed; I'm kicking myself for not trying their pork neck stew earlier.

This used to be my #1 spot for cold noodles but our other fav place was closed today so we decided to come here. As you can see, the size of the cold noodles became smaller. Everything was packed in this small bowl which made it harder to eat. I think they changed the noodles they use because it wasn't doing anything texture wise. It used to be chewy and had a good buckwheat flavor. The broth tasted.. like water with a splash of bone broth. The quality of galbi was also a disappointing as I feel like it's became less and the meat was burnt with more fat/chewy bits. The leek pancake was ok but again, comparing it to my picture from January, it was bigger in size and more dough-y. Service was decent previously but it felt a bit cold today. Again, super bummed because we still love this place but I probably won't be ordering their combo again. You can see in my pictures how often we used to order the cold noodles from here and you can compare the quality.
