The inside had a large communal table and a few other 2 top and 4 tops. Not a ton of inside seating was available but the tables turned over relatively quickly. Everyone is saying Woon is the best Chinese food in LA. When I went here for the first time there was even a guy in line telling everyone 'this is the best Chinese food in LA"! Woon is good. Is it the best? I don't know. I really liked the pork belly and rice bowl I had but is it better than Kuya Lord? Nope. It's still good though. I also ordered the wings which were incredibly crispy but only had flavor if you put some of Woon's sauce on them. Still, not bad! Still good. Do I recommend it? Sure. Worth checking out. There's definitely street parking, but you may have to walk a block or two, though it's definitely worth the walk. I would say my favorite dishes are the Pork Dumplings, Beef Noodles, Chicken Wings, Gai Lan, and the Smashed Radish Salad. These are the dishes I order every time! I will say that every single dish I have tried has been tasty - these are just my top five. The food is perfect as is, but when you add their house chili sauce or chili crisp the dishes are elevated to new heights. Super cute trendy spot. The restaurant is on the smaller side but they do have a patio. For seating as well as a few tables inside. You walk in and place your order at the counter and then they bring your food to you. It being our first time we ordered a few dishes to try; the pork belly over rice, beef noodles and the five spice chicken wings. The pork belly was absolutely succulent and melt in your mouth; with the rice and pickled veggies completing each bite to perfection. The beef noodles were also delicious with soft flavorful steak and homemade noodles. The wings were so crispy and juicy! All of the dishes were scrumptious but I must say the pork belly over rice was the star of the show. I also highly recommend you try their Mama's way sauce. My friend and I came on a Wednesday right when they opened and there was no wait. The restaurant is located on a street corner so there are plenty of street parking as well as street parking in the residential area. They have inside and outside seating and you pay prior to getting your food. The staff were friendly and patient with us as we looked through their menu. We ordered a few items off of their menu: 1. Pork belly bun: you get a thick cut of pork belly that tastes as if it's been braised all day. It was served with mustard greens that wasn't too fermented and helped complement the savory and sweet taste of the pork. The bun wasn't too soft and had a bit of a chewiness to it. The cute of pork is definitely on the fattier end, but thats how you get the melt in your mouth taste. 2. Momma Fong's Five Spice Chicken Wings: The crispiest pieces of chicken wings I've had in such a long time! You get 7 pieces per order and I wish we ordered two plates. Although they're five spice seasoned, the wings are not overly seasoned and weren't too salty. The side dish helped to complement the fried rice we ordered. They also have white rice if you want to just taste the chicken flavor. 3. Fried Rice: I've never had fried rice made with black rice but the combo of white/black rice made this dish. You get the nuttiness from the black rice and added texture that was a nice surprise. The rice has the wok seasoning, adding the nice char taste. It was definitely more rice than toppings (e.g., Chinese sausage and vegetables), but overall great flavor. 4. Beef Noodles: the star of the dishes we ordered, the noodles were cooked perfectly! They were chewy, had the wok seasoning , weren't too oily and had a nice mix of beef and vegetables. If there is one dish you need to order it's this one! Overall, the food we had was amazing. The place is clean and it's def something different to check out around the silverlake area. I will say a few of their drinks are a bit overpriced. A bottle of brewed tea was $7. It was just cold oolong tea so a bit steep if you ask me. They do have a water dispenser that's serve yourself. read more

You order at a counter, get pressed into leaving a tip from 18-22 percent and then proceed to over pay by triple for a few meager bits of food that's lukewarm and wasn't even freshly made! $50 including tip for beef noodles, scallion pancakes, a beer and a sake. What we received was pretty sad, to be honest. First off- this is counter service. Why are we tipping as if it's full sit down service? Second, scallion pancakes come out and they are room temperature and clearly had been either cooked for hours or ordered from the local Chinese place with grandma cooking and just toss a few out every once in a while after cutting them up into teeny pieces to make it look BIGGER. And the beef. Sigh. This gets its own paragraph because it was like shavings when you sharpen a pencil of beef on this dish. They were so ashamed of the tiny Fancy Feast cat food sized beef scraplets that they hid them under some greasy arse noodles with some ends of leftover bok choi from someone else's full entree portion. It was embarrassing, frankly. But shaving an ounce of old beef on some greasy brown noodles isn't worth 15 bucks, especially when it comes in a miso soup sized container. I'm not a size queen either. I prefer smaller amounts of good quality, but this wasn't it. Notice the half inch of oil left in the bowl. Every noodle was drenched in oil and there was still plenty to spare. Drive right past this place unless you like dropping 50 bucks for from lukewarm noodle shrapnel floating in brown grease with old pancakes and boxed sake. Really good, home style Chinese food! This place is a gem. The standouts for me were their beef noodles. Out of this world. They're homemade. The beef is so tender and yummy. Pair it with their spicy sauce and chili crisp and it's an 11/10. Their chicken wings are honestly some of the best I've ever had. So crispy. And that 5-spice seasoning gives them so much flavor. Pro-tip if you like spice; smear a bit of the chili crisp on the chicken wings and you will be in heaven. The fried rice with Chinese sausage was so hearty. The Chinese broccoli is fresh. Cucumber & tofu salad is a nice pallet cleanser. Pork belly Bao buns melt in your mouth. All were awesome. Make sure to get a bunch of items because some of the plates are small but the food is so good it's important to try a little bit of everything. The only reason it's not a 5/5 for me is the chairs/outdoor seating was a bit flimsy and it's set up around a parking lot with a lot of cars so it does detract from having an intimidate dining experience. The scallion pancakes were underwhelming for me but I've had some of the best in the past and Jian Bing made with scallion pancake so I definitely have a high bar. Definitely go.
