We stopped in sunday night on the 21st for a drink. The food was ok its a bar, not a Michelin star restaurant, but it was great to have with that amazing selection of beers. They had beers from all over the world and a very impressive list. Maybe this is a place where you just come for beer. I don't know, but the first two drinks I had tasted horrible so I opted for lemonade (which also tasted like lemon water, maybe they were out and didn't know it). The server was no fun and lacked everything we know servers to be. He was very blah the whole time almost like he didn't want us there or he didn't want to be there. Either way every encounter was a turn off. I'm glad after we looked at the menu for 20 minutes that we decided to split the French dip because It was the worst I've ever had! The meat had no flavor so you can assume that the au jus had none as well. The bread was soggy and wet (soggy bread is a big thing for me because I'm a texture type of person). Honestly the best thing was the fries but that isn't really saying much. I'd never come back here. My partner and I came here today trying to get a good beer. I had the Blue Moon White Belgian and it was sooo refreshing and nice. We ordered the two tacos tacos Chicken and the Two tacos beef as shareable & they were full of Flavors. My partner had a Stella Artois & a different beet that had a tart flavor and he enjoyed both. This might seem like just another place for beer, but they actually have really good food! The happy hour specials are wonderful. Monday is the best because they let you build a burger for under $8 as of December 2023. The burgers are very, very good. As are the fries. Beer selections are great, and they do offer half pints but you'll have to request them off menu. Service us very prompt even on busy days. Back in November, I was looking for a fun atmosphere to watch the Sunday Night Football game and realized World of Beer was conveniently located right across from where I was staying. I arrived a bit early to secure a good spot for the big matchup and grabbed a seat at the bar directly in front of the TVs. After ordering an Abita Root Beer from the bartender, I settled in and eagerly waited for the game to start. We always go to the Pooler location, and tonight was my first time at the downtown location. The downtown location is very well decorated with an awesome vibrant vibe--the live band tonight has a violinist, fancy! Here are things I don't like: 1) the beer list on the 2nd floor is extremely short. They don't even have Flat Tyre tonight. 2) I ordered fish and chips. It came out without the coleslaw. I asked about it and was told they just don't do coleslaw anymore even if it's clearly listed on the menu and should be included with fish & chips. I feel this might be a lie. They may have run out of it. Anyway, I think the explanation I got isn't acceptable. If they run out of coleslaw, just tell me the truth--I'm not a baby so I won't throw a tantrum over coleslaw. 3) they didn't put pretzel on the hanger, causing a very plain presentation and reducing the fun of ordering that giant pretzel. Everything on the food menu is $0.55 to $1.50 more expensive than the Pooler location--this is understandable, but I feel the food and service aren't as good as the Pooler location. P.S. For five years our trivia team has been attending Monday night General Knowledge trivia at World of Beer, Pooler. It is our way to kick off the work week, a place to enjoy our time together and to participate in a battle of wits with other teams. For five years, our team has consisted of two to seven members, based on who is able to come on Monday nights. Over these five years, we've split each gift card winning equally. We use it like a coupon when it comes time to cash out. We've never had a major issue with cashing out our equal winnings until last night (8/25/25). With no notification, the manager on duty told our server we can no longer break up our winnings per each gift card. He never explained why (his playground, his rules I guess). The manager should have come to our table himself to explain why not send our server to do his job. While our server was talking to us, the manager stole/confiscated two of our gift cards which still had credits on them (roughly $35 all together). We win pretty frequently and as of today, we have $136 in gift card winnings still to be used. Now we're being told we cannot. How else is a team of several people supposed to spend their winnings? In one lump sum? That's not possible. The way this whole situation was handled was highly unprofessional and deceitful. It's a shame too. We really enjoyed our five years with PubStar Trivia. Thanks for the memories....with the exception of last night. read more

While on vacation in new places, we have a rule that we don't go to chains to get the full experience of the new city. We made an exception while in Savannah with World of Beer. We were finding long lines at quite a few lunch places, so decided we would just see how their wait was. We were able to get in right away, which was great, because I was getting a little Hangry. The beer menu is vast and offered many options. I love a good stout, so I went with Orpheus the Doughnut Revolution: Blackout Chocolate Cake Stout. The name is a mouthful as is the beer. It was very flavorful and did taste like chocolate cake. For lunch, I kept it since with hot honey bbq boneless wings. They were delicious in the bleu chance dressing. We used to have a World of Beer back home in Henderson, NV, but it closed at the beginning of the pandemic and I was devastated to be quite honest. I am really hoping it comes back. Amazing pretzel! That is what we came for, but I added the flight of beers and we really enjoyed ourselves. A bit costly, but I am not used to praying for alcohol at establishments. Next time all that is required for a great time is that pretzel. It was crisp on the outside, dripping with butter and lightly salted. The spicy mustard was very nice, but my wife loved the cheese sauce to dip it in. I would have preferred plain yellow mustard, but that is me and I did not ask for it. My bad. Much less smelly than the World Of B.O. Despite Savannah having so many local places, this is one of the best spots to spend time in, that I've found, in the city. Incredibly friendly place with a lot of fun great servers, and some cool patrons. A nice place to hang out, and even though it's a big chain, they're some of the friendliest people in Savannah, and that really makes a difference - and it makes us want to come back. I usually give 2 or 3 to World Of Beer locations. The prices here are 3, products are 4, but the service is 10 so I'm giving them 5 stars. read more

So normally I would give somewhere that gives my husband a jack and coke a 1 star. But I know accidents happen and the bar tender was kind a replaced the drinks multiple times. Yes there was bugs in the drink more than once. We ended up finding out that it was bugs in the Jack Danels bottle. They got a new bottle and it was fine. But if I hadn't noticed my husband would've drank it. He took it off our bill and upgraded his drink to a double. The food is just meh but that's probably due them to being known for beer. By 11:30, we were the last ones there and staff was standing around watching for us to leave. Yelp, and other sources say that the closing time is midnight. The experience says otherwise. We came here as soon as they opened at 11am, actually we popped in 5 minutes early because we had to use the restroom and they very kindly let us in. Thank you! Great selection of beers from local beers on tap to many beers from other countries. We had a local flight of great beers. Good way to try a bunch since some breweries are closed until Tuesday or Wednesday here. We also got a very interesting Korean beer that was a sake and beer mix. Absolutely delicious and very unique. You question that mix a little bit but the flavors work so well! It was so good we tried both flavors they had. Original and the berry flavor. Both delicious, sweet, light beers. The very nice and informative worker, Anna had us try a delicious sample of a breakfast coffee beer which was great. Tasted like breakfast in a glass and smelled oh so good. She gave us reccomenations for food, other beers there and more local breweries to go to. She was absolutely awesome! My original plan for my last night in Savannah was to hit up a local UK pub. But they decided to suddenly close for a couple days at three end of June. So I went with World of Beer instead. I think I tried 7 or 8 beers in that bar and the bartenders were kind enough to let me sample as many as I wanted. The Orpheus Transimigration of Souls double IPA was my favorite though, that was a fantastic beer. There was one significant issue though. I was drinking draft beer, but I saw that they carried several varieties of Innis & Gunn in their cooler. The new bartender told me the three kinds but didn't say what variety of beer they were. So I wound up getting a bottle of stout, not my style. I apologized, explained I didn't know it was a stout, and asked to have it removed from my bill. We really enjoyed stopping in for some beer and eventually ordered some wings. The beer list is no joke with 50 beers on tap as well as huge coolers full of bottles and cans. The staff has some great knowledge of the beer they serve and they are all very friendly. I loved watching the bartenders teach people about beer and help people find the taste that was right for them. Beer can be intimidating to someone who is new to craft beer and the staff does a great job of breaking down that barrier. The wings were great as well.
