The food is just not good. The ribs are tough and they microwave everything before they give it to you...somehow the ribs were still room temp though, so that's confusing. I would definitely not ever go back. Save yourself the money and the trip. read more

Simply great. The only disadvantage is that it's take out only. Nevertheless, it beats commercial BBQ and it's cheaper than a lot of similar businesses. Humble abode, spectacular barbeque. Perfect balance of sweet, spicy, and tangy. Going to be returning for sure. Feel bad I passed it so many times before and let the façade discourage me. I've ate here many of times, & today I wanted BBQ. This hit the spot. The location, place of business, is pretty sketchy, and the inside is pretty tight. But I'm telling you, this place beats most chain BBQ restaurants. Today I went for the BBQ ribs, which were cooked to perfection, yams, yes they were great but next time I'm going for the sweat potato cobbler, and mac & cheese, it wasn't the mac & cheese I was use to, soupy yet creamy but it was still good. So, I decided to give this place another try. I ordered stewed beef over rice, macaroni, yams and peach cobbler. The stewed meat was yucky and they charged me almost $9 for a small scoop of meat, the sides were good but the peach cobbler was so runny that the crust was soggy. I threw it away. This has got to be the WORST place for getting BBQ in ATL. I ordered Rib Tips and I swear they chopped up the very end of the slab (which has no meat). I hesitated when I walked in the door because everyone seem to have attitude. I guess I should have followed my first mind. Needless to say I WONT be back. I hope they see my post and reply. I just wasted $19...Plate no. 1 pulled pork sandwich was soooo tangy and the meat wasnt fresh, potato salad had sooo much mustard that i had lockjaw, and baked beans were poured from the can with no bell peppers or brown sugar meaning NO flavor at all. Plate no. 2 bbq chicken was burnt and wet and didnt even have bbq sauce on it. Coleslaw was too tarty, the only decent thing was the mac and cheese it was good. And last but not least the peach cobbler was disgusting, crust was soggy, they added too much nutmeg and all-spice, it was sooo strong it tasted like pine-sol smells. The food is usually good but this time the ribs were overcooked and not fit to eat. When I returned the food to Mr. Wyatt he was very rude and told me that there was nothing wrong with the food (talking loud in front of other customers)and walked away. I'm a fan of this place. I went on a Saturday afternoon and there was a line. The parking lot was full and I smelled smoke, so that was a good sign. I stood in line before placing my order which took about 10 minutes. Once I placed my order it took another 5 minutes to make my plate, pay, and checkout. Now be warned, it is very small and tight, but I don't care- I just came for the ribs! The customer service was good and the price was good compared to what I ordered. I ordered rib tips, mac and cheese, yams, and cornbread. All were very good. While in line, I overheard another patron ask for banana pudding which was sold out- so that must be good as well. Hopefully I can try it the next time I go. And just a small note- I did see my food go into a microwave by the register although it was not long. They may need to invest in some kitchen items that keep the food warm. I will not deduct any stars for that, because it's so minor to me and my meat didn't dry out. This used to be my absolute favorite, but they're slippin'. Last couple of times the pulled pork was more like a thin stew and the mac was cold. I still swing by a couple times a year just because the people are so friendly and downhome, but I really hope they tighten it up. read more

I went to Wyatt's today for lunch. I ordered Turkey a Wing (Rice), Green Beans, and Candid Yams. Initially, when my ordered was prepared, I kindly indicated that it was too much gravy. The Cashier asked the server to re-fix. I didn't check it again assuming it would be better. Wrong, it was worst. I had a very small amount of rice and it was floating in gravy. The green beans had been warmed and re-warmed so many times, they were mushy; and the cornbread crumbled apart as I attempted to pinched off pieces. I called back to no avail. Whomever I spoke to said he should have held-up the spoon of gravy and asked me how much. I was a sarcastic comment. No, problem. I definitely will not be BACK--keep loosing customers that's how you go OUT OF BUSINESS! read more

Ugh. Where do I start. I went here a couple of times. Approximately 3 years ago, really. I didn't like the set up of how you could not see the food or who was making or serving it. They have their menu or you just tell them what you want. The first time was ok, not bad, I just didn't like the setup of the whole place and how it was made or how you had to wait almost outside before you could step in to place your order. Also if you wanted to dine in, you would really be dining out in a little screened in area that was several feet from where you order. So I went with my mom the second time and we got take out because she didn't want to eat over in that screened area that was past where we parked really. We went home and ate. She had rib tips that were not to her liking. I tasted them. They were not to my liking either. We both had potato salad and it must have been mustard potato salad because it was strong. I ended up eating most of my meal and shortly after, I got sick. What went down, did come up. Awful. Me and my mom vowed never to go back. And some people call it a hole in the wall and it is. Some of these places have the best food but not this hole. My first meal there was salty. I forgot to mention. I went there all because I heard they had great BBQ, food from Porsche on Real Housewives. She had mentioned it on the show. Why did I listen to this girl. Idk. Smh. So I had a bad experience here. Luckily my mom didn't get sick and I'm glad it was me and not her. That's the only good part. Til this day, I do not eat everyone's potato salad.
