I was super excited about another bubble tea franchise from Taiwan opening in Seattle as the city could really use some authentic boba. This place was packed on a Saturday afternoon and in the 30 minutes or so that I was there, I witnessed lots of wrong orders/servers not calling out orders/organizational chaos. While the boba was good, the $7 price tag did not justify the small cup sizes. (-) Service: although there were no lines out the door, this place was packed on a Saturday afternoon. (+) Ambiance: the shop was tidy and trendy with cute features such as a fortune telling booth where you can choose a stick and go to the number that corresponded with the number on little drawers to get a slip of paper with your fortune. (+) Drinks: I ordered one of their signature drinks - the strawberry boba milk, which featured their signature red, strawberry boba. The drink was amazing - I loved the taste of fresh berry juice mixed with milk and cream. (-) Value for Money: the boba here comes in much smaller cups than at any other store. At a price tag of at least $7 per drink, inflation is real! read more

I've been holding out going here for a while because the back of my mind tells me to just go to the one in Flushing, NY where they have the full experience with the gold ring for orders with the gold foil. However, boba cravings hit me so I decided to venture to one of the remaining few boba places left in Seattle that I have not tried, and this is one of them. Feeling fancy, I might as well get the gold foil brown sugar boba milk with less ice, and I might as well do the large for 80 cents upgrade if I am already paying a lot for the drink. This is the most expensive boba drink I have ever had in my life, $14+ after tax. Was it worth it? No, because gold foil doesn't really add much flavor or texture and it is just for show, and the original boba drink otherwise is not particularly out of the world for the above average price tag. The milk and cream is pretty creamy, and I liked that they caramelized the brown sugar on top. The boba is on the softer side, even after sitting for a while for it to cool down to actual temperature, but I do taste the brown sugar within. Overall, I guess I checked this place off the list, but I probably would go to other boba places for value and choice, but make an exception to try this place again in Flushing or Taiwan. read more

I'm still thinking about how delicious Xing Fu Tang's house made boba is. It's way more flavorful and QQ than even One Zo's (another spot in CA and MI that makes their own boba too). Like the OG Taiwan locations, they even have the boba wok set up. Love it! I ordered the #2: Taiwan Boba Milk tea. I got it 50% sweetness and next time I think I'll get it 0 or 25% as there's enough sweetness for me from the brown sugar boba itself. Because the boba is handcrafted, some boba balls BARELY fit thru the straw haha. So good though! Next time I'm also getting the larger size, ha. The person who took my order also recommended the house made strawberry boba! So I'll have to try that next time. read more

Personally, I found the boba to be too soft and lacked chewiness. We ordered the Dalgona Coffee Boba Milk Tea and the Brown Sugar Milk Tea. Both were overly sweet and we were not asked to make any sweetness adjustments. The amount of sugar was overwhelming and there was a hint of bitterness to the drinks. The place in general would be a cute hang out spot, especially since it has a wall of fortunes you could pull from. But overall, I would not come here again for the boba milk tea because the quality was lacking in several areas. read more

This is one of my favorite boba tea places to go to. I usually have to go to BC to get this, but now they have a location in Seattle. I like that they make their boba fresh - it does make a difference. I opted for the Brown Sugar Boba Milk with Dalgona Coffee and it was definitely a great choice. The service is friendly. Hands down one of the best bubble tea in Seattle. This is a must-go place for individuals who do not like their BB tea too sweet and their tapioca is top-notch chewy and soft to perfection! Services was standard nothing to criticize or exemplify. Ambiance was a typically bubble tea joint... double high ceiling was nice and you have a giant Xing fu tang bubble tea art work on the side. Side note: I think they exchange ownership... there's more recently a Vietnamese influence vibe than a Taiwanese. Will have to update review. read more

18 TIMES??!! I had been to the Xing Fu Tang in another location and craved their signature brown sugar boba drink. I found out that Seattle had their very own store in the heart of downtown Seattle. So, I went to go check it out! I ordered the signature brown sugar boba drink. Even though, you couldn't adjust sweetness, the drink itself wasn't too sweet! The boba was nice, soft and chewy. I also like how you can see the boba being stirred! Very aesthetic. I loved the interior decor and was raving to my friend about how cute and comfy the pink chairs were lol. Definitely looks like a great place to rest and get a good boba drink! Tip: STIR THE DRINK 18 TIMES! It'll definitely help enhance the flavor otherwise, you're just drinking brown sugar and milk (separately). read more

A fan of this spot! We ordered takeout to our hotel after a long day and it arrived fast. We picked it up in our lobby and it was packaged nicely with my name on it. After seeing the pictures, we were excited to see that there was a boba spot that offers brown sugar milk with boba nearby our hotel. I believe I heard about this store on instagram some time ago but hadn't realized it where it had opened in Seattle. I decided to try their number one aka the Signature Brown Sugar Boba Milk and this was reallyyyyyy good. I didn't stir it initially which was a bit of a mistake since you go straight to the undiluted brown sugar boba and quickly hit with too much sugar. This is def one of the better brown sugar boba milks I've had. The boba was good too and held up relatively well even after 30 something minutes. There is also a box with lots of small drawers near the drink pick up. Each one holds a fortune and it's a lot of fun to see what lies in the one you open. Xing Fu Tea has been my go to boba shop for the past couple months since I've discovered it! It's really close to the Westlake link station so it's very convenient for me to come since parking downtown can be a pain. The decor is cute and I like that they have a photo wall to take pictures with a bunch of plushies to help the photos look even better. There is a wide selection of drinks to choose from but I normally just go for the classic Taiwan milk tea. I don't like my teas too sweet so I normally go for 75% percent sugar. My favorite part though has to be the hand made boba that they make in house in front of you. It really separates it from most boba stores that you would find as they're always perfectly chewy. Overall, 5 stars for sure. Great boba, great service and a cute place to sit and chill. read more

Good location, good boba, good service! What more could you ask for? Xing Fu Tang is conveniently located right in the middle of downtown, near Westlake Center. There's plenty of indoor seating and the area is clean and spacious. I've been a couple of times to order drinks, and it's been pretty consistently good so far. The boba is nice and chewy, and the drinks tend to lean a little on the sweet side, but you can adjust it to your liking. They also have a fun fortunes area for you to play around with while you wait! read more

One of the many things that I miss after shifting from LA to Seattle is my favorite drink from Xing Fu Tang their "Brown Sugar Boba milk with Dalgona Coffee". When I came across the news that they are opening up in Seattle too, I was super happy. Going a little in the past, my favorite drink from their Menu as I mentioned above, the taste was hot brown sugar boba at the bottom, cold milk in between and warm Dalgona coffee mix at the top. And when mixed you would get melt in the mouth chewy hot bobas with Dalgona mixed in milk. "Review" Fast forward to me visiting this cafe trying my favorite "Brown Sugar Boba milk with Dalgona Coffee" which had hard cold brown sugar boba and not so good Dalgona mix. Just bad. Not coming here again, will definitely visit the LA one, when I visit. read more

I hadn't realized that this was a newly opened location since I was just visiting Seattle. Out of all the boba tea shops in the area though, Xing Fu Tang seemed the most promising so I went for it. Entering the store, you're immediately struck by the huge pot of brown sugar boba simmering away behind the counter. So of course, I had to try their signature brown sugar boba milk. It consists of boba, milk (no tea), and cream on top that's bruleed with sugar. I liked it; it had some depth to it from the cream and brown sugar sauce, so it didn't just taste like milk. I actually came back on another day intending to try the strawberry boba milk, but unfortunately they said it would take another 30 minutes for more strawberry boba :( I ended up getting the milk tea, which was really good! It had a strong tea flavor and I think I liked it more than the brown sugar boba milk. My boyfriend got the "soda with handmade jelly," a blue drink that had galaxy-esque glitter swirled into it. It looked really exotic, but it kind of just tasted like Sprite. Overall, a solid tea shop if a bit on the pricey side. I would come back if I'm in the area! read more

Underwhelming in so many ways. #1, their top seller was basically milk. No sweetness at all. It was cool to see them make their boba from scratch but it didn't taste much more exceptional than any other tea shop. Save yourself a trip and visit happy lemon instead. read more

I love Xing Fu Tang. They are the best at the brown sugar boba milk. Their signature version is especially unique with the creme brulee and cream top. I have liked all the other drinks I have tried at XFT as well, such as the matcha strawberry latte and some ube drinks (in NYC), but the signature brown sugar drink is still hard to beat. They also make their own pearls day-of (and you can see them doing so). They have so many unique pearls, not just the traditional ones. I've only tried the strawberry and taro ones in the past. With all of that said on how much I love XFT, I think this location is still figuring things out. When I asked the clerk what the "seaside" drink was, he didn't know. Why aren't there any descriptions of it on the menu? Aside from that, I felt the matcha latte I got was grainy and the strawberry boba was clumpy. Even the signature drink could use refinement. The boba was also a bit clumpy and some boba were undercooked somehow. I hope I can bump up my review to the 5 stars this spot deserves after a few more months! read more

I love this place. Hands down the best bubble tea place in Seattle. I submit a mobile order every Tuesday for pick up because I only have an hour lunch break and waiting in line cuts into my eating time. Today, my drink was ready for me with my name on it. I grabbed it and left. When I got to my office (I drove, so it's not walking distance), I noticed the color of my drink looked off. I order the same drink every Tuesday. I tasted it and I was right, it's not the same drink. I'm very disappointed, it's not like I can just walk there and have them remake my drink, and again- it's a huge inconvenience to leave work and drive there just to get a new drink. A bit too sweet for my taste but I think it's adjustable? The boba warmed up my drink way too much which made it not warm or not cold. The two flavors we got almost taste the same. We got original and dalgona coffee flavor. The boba is definitely sweeter and taste fresher than most boba shops in the area. The decor inside is very cute. I can't imagine them expanding their menu as it's already huge :) Will come back to give it another chance. read more

The shop itself is a small pickup window attached to a larger Japanese restaurant, and it seems like a very cost-effective way to run the business. It also appeared to be operated by just two people, which made the whole operation even more impressive. When I went, there was a long line that stretched a good way down the street, but the wait moved quickly -- I spent about 15 minutes waiting to order and had my ice cream within minutes. The Hokkaido Milk was the standout for me: incredibly rich, creamy, and smooth. As someone who loves a good vanilla profile, I was very into it. The Matcha was also done really well, with just the right bitterness to balance the sweetness and complement the milk. I tried to isolate each flavor in every bite so I could appreciate them on their own, and I'm glad I did. By the time I finished, I was completely satisfied, but low-key wanted another round. Despite the busy night, our server checked on us regularly and was very personable, stopping to chat with us about the local sports scene. There's plenty to look at, inside and out. If you can snag a seat outside, you'll get to enjoy the waterfront. Inside, the decor is industrial but fun. Not sure if this runs all the time, but when we were there, the tvs were playing vintage beer ads, which was quite fun. They also sell some pretty good t-shirt designs. This is one of my absolute favorite spots from back in Taiwan. Super excited that they opened one up here. Friendly environment, dog friendly and welcome too. Super high quality ingredients , and the price to match. First thing is that drinks will run you $5+, 6+ and likely to be $7+ if you tip anything. In addition, these drinks are a bit smaller than your typical bubble tea spot. But I would say that this is somewhat justifiable given just how much care they put into their ingredients. They make their own boba in house in plain site of customers. You can see them folding the dough and then a machine cuts them into little balls. Their the boba fresh results in a perfectly pillowy soft but still chewy boba that you just can't get from rehydrating pre-made boba. It's like if a piece of mochi and a gummy bear had a baby. Not quite as soft as mochi but not quite as chewy as a gummy bear. I got #1 their popular Signature Brown Sugar Boba Milk. People should note, that this is literally just their brown sugar boba and milk. No tea. If you like Tea try their milk tea. Really good milk tea and strong tea flavor. Definitely will come back very often and highly recommend this place. Especially for the freshness of the ingredients means you get amazing flavor from each ingredient without any artificial flavors coming in, like syrupy sweetness or coloring. read more

This is my absolute new favorite boba spot! The service is fast (even when you come in during rush hour) and staff are super friendly. But most of all the most amazing part is the fresh handmade boba! I'm a boba addict and have always felt a little guilty with my boba indulgence however according to their website there are no preservatives in their boba and drinks. They make all the boba from scratch in their kitchen. When you come in you can see them making the dough and it comes rolling out the a machine into small tapioca pearls. I don't know of any other places that does this. They only Have the small size drink right now so I can't wait Until they release the larger one. So far my favorite is their signature brown sugar boba which has a toasted brown sugar topping. I also forgot to mention that they also have strawberry boba that is absolutely amazing! You can really tell the difference when you eat their boba vs the ones that have preservatives. I feel like the drinks are fairly priced especially since there is more effort put into making their drinks, and of course fresh handmade boba!! That's very excited Xing Fu Tang is finally opened in Seattle. Excellent tea place. Very good service and they have chairs and tables for you can sit and hang out. Fun vibes tho. For the drinks. Most of the Bubble tea locations only have sweetness but I can taste the actual tea in this brown sugar drink. I tried #2 taiwan boba milk tea. The boba are made freshly made in the store everyday. Which is so cool to watch how they make boba. The boba comes out super tender, fresh,and sweet is perfect that I've never had before at another stores. Also i love the flavors of the burnt sugar, creamy milk, mixing together with the texture of tender chewy boba, that is #1 their signature drink I guess . I recently tried Xing Fu Tang and was blown away by their Taiwan Boba Milk Tea. Specifically, I'm a huge fan of brown sugar boba and I have to say that this place had some of the best I've ever had! The boba had a fantastic texture - chewy and just the right amount of firmness. But what really stood out was the sweetness of the brown sugar.
