Trying to find great Thai in the area. Decided to go outside the city, and this is by far the worst pad Thai I've ever had... The picture will speak for itself. Green bell peppers? What is the color? The sauces (yum yum & sauce for crab rangoon) also taste strange. Crab rangoons are fair. Definitely won't come back

Chicken pad thai was orange and didnt taste like anything! Green peppers do not belong in chicken pad Thai

Yuck! Very very orange color noodles. We're basically nonexistent being minced up! Had no flavor whatsoever, will not order again! Took over an hour to get my order by delivery

Really yummy food tucked away in an unexpected spot. General Tso's chicken & crab rangoon are my weakness and Yama Fuji did not disappoint. I'll be back again & again.

Grabbed takeout for dinner and the food was fresh and packaged well. Hot and spicy seafood soup was the bomb. Grubhub ordering was easy and paid with my card on file, only complaint was the timing kept updating for the order so I had to wait. Will order again though and try some other items!

I went into Yama tonight for dinner with one other person. As I walked in I was surprised to see how modern and welcoming the decor was! The sign on the outside of the building leaves something to be desired. In fact - if I was going on just aesthetics, I would have overlooked Yama. My companion suggested this place and I am so glad she did! We were seated immediately and our table and surrounds were extremely clean. Our table was already set and the setting was neat and appropriate. Our server came over right away and offered a drink, I suppose they didn't have any verbal specials because none were offered. Throughout the entire meal our server didn't seem very interested in our table (and the restaurant was not busy). She was flat and gave short answers / very quick to leave the table. She seemed to personally know a patron that was sitting at the bar.. Meh - she was fine.. Now onto the DELICIOUS SUSHI! This was really why this place is getting a 4/5 rating. We ordered a few different things - California Roll, Shrimp Tempura roll, Sweet Potato Tempura roll and The Dancing Tuna Roll. All were fantastic - the favs were the Dancing Tuna and the Shrimp. We also ordered Miso Soup and it was perfect! It was really a top notch sushi experience. We did not order a dessert but I have to say that it was quite the impressive and tempting selection of very decadent desserts! Can't wait to give a few a try! The prices were great as well. The specialty rolls were moderately priced $10-$14 and came with 8 pieces. Most of the other "regular" type rolls were $5-$9 for a 6 piece. The prices were surprising for the quality - which was high. Overall this is a place I would recommend - mainly because the food was really wonderful. Give it a chance!

I've never been more excited to give 5 stars to a restaurant in all my years. Easily the best sushi I've had in Rhode Island. There are so many reasons why I'm giving them 5 stars: the service, the cleanliness, the decor, and of course the food! The prices are good for the quality of food you get. We ordered the valentine roll, spicy salmon roll, spicy seafood, and spicy scallop rolls. All were fantastic with just the right amount of heat. I probably wouldn't get both the spicy seafood and spicy scallop as they are very similar but highly recommend either. If you are looking for something new to drink try the Japanese Soda! I'm a sucker for anything lycée so that was my favorite kind. I also tried the Strawberry flavor and it was good, not overly sweet. I can't wait to go back!

I've eaten here several times but not recently. My go to for Thai hasn't been open for lunch two weeks in a row. So I walked in here on a Sunday at noon. Place was completely empty. Ordered a cold Buddha beer & ordered Thai food to go. The young woman behind the counter was friendly & helpful. I ordered hot & sour soup, pork egg rolls, pad Thai with Shrimp & basil chicken. Everything was delicious & the portions were generous, I will be back soon.

This cozy restaurant really delivers some authentic Thai magic. Chicken Satay - Best chicken satay I've had ever. The chicken appears to be marinated because there's flavor throughout the entire piece of meat. Appetizer comes with 4x large pieces. Nothing small about them and the accompanying peanut sauce and pickled vegetables are on point. Meat is "moist" and "tender". Yes... those quotes were necessary. Thai Iced Tea - The drink is a regular order for me at a lot of Thai restaurants. To my surprise, I really enjoyed this one the most because it was not atypically as overly sweet as other restaurants I've been too. Green Curry with Seafood - All ingredients in this dish were on point and fresh. Nothing tasted frozen or out of a can. Seafood was not over cooked and everything tasted clean. Flavors and quantity were all present. The curry had spice and did not disappoint. Kra Pow with Minced Chicken - Again, all the added veggies were fresh and not overly cooked. Vegetables really spoke for themselves. Flavor in the kra pow were solid and had a reasonable level of heat/spice, but not overwhelming. Again, very good portions. Overall, this place was amazing. I was a bit thrown off when they didn't ask how spicy our party wanted our food as with most other Thai restaurants we've been to, but they hit it out of the park. In my honest opinion, it's not the typical American levels of spice, so be forewarned. The level is probably a bit more on the mild side of Thai level heat. Service is very friendly here and prompt. I have to say whoever the cook, grandma, or magic elf they have hidden away in the kitchen... don't ever let them go.

The sauces were flavorful and not overly spicy (although you clearly have the option of getting it very very spicy if you'd like). There are several other things on their menu that I would like to try and we will definitely be ordering again. I did see some comments on the serving sizes. I had done some research and knew it was a small space so I was praying there would be enough open tables. When we talked in, there were about 3 tables open. It took a bit to get seated since the host/ server was busy getting together online orders and bringing out food to other customers. But after a couple minutes, we were allowed to pick our own table. They have 3 two person tables to the left, on an elevated platform. To the far front of the space, there were two booths which could easily fit 4 people each. To the right there were 3 tables for 4-5 people each. We went with the bigger table, but moved after a couple minutes to another table for a more private setting. For an appetizer, we put in an order of crab rangoons. As my entrée, I ordered the Khao Soi with seafood and my friend ordered the beef salad which comes with sticky rice. The crab rangoons came out after about 10 minutes. They looked crispy, and were wrapped in a cute, round way. The filling wasn't as creamy as I wish it would be, but it did taste a bit healthier than regular Chinese take out. The entress came out after about another 10 minutes. My Khao Soi came out with a big bowl, with some lime and peanuts on the side. I asked for more lime and cilantro on the side. The broth was a very vibrant color, creamy, sweet, a little tangy from the lime, and because of the cilantro had a fresh and clean flavor. I loved the combination of all the flavors, and it reminded me of a curry. The noodles were soft, but not falling apart and there was a good amount of it. There was plenty of seafood including calamari, shrimp, and mussels. The calamari was a little tough but the other items were good. I loved the crispy shallots on top as they provided an additional sweet but savory element. I finished the entire thing. My friend's salad was good. It was simple in that it was salads and herbs with minced meat but it tasted good. The sticky rice came in a ball wrapped in aluminum foil, and then put into their authentic little basket so it was full to pull apart. They do have a dessert menu and we were offered some, but I had no space. It seemed like the server was handling a lot at once so kudos to him and the small but mighty team in the back cooking everything up. I would be interested in trying other items on their menu.

We ordered Burmese Milk tea, Fried chicken (Sweet), Nanu chicken dumplings, stir fried noodles, and Basil Chicken with rice. Fried chicken wings were crispy, sweet and savory. Nanu dumplings were topped with scallions , fried onions and spicy mayo and were delicious. Basil chicken was flavorful with hint of spice from basil. Stir fried was also topped with fried onions and was very flavorful as well. All the food did come with plastic containers so it's easy to take home if you have leftovers. First time trying Burmese milk tea and was good but I think I prefer Thai milk tea better. Overall the place was very good. Food was great, service was good and price was fair. Only downside was that the place is small with limited seating and the place was hot because it's summer and there is no AC. They have fan and we sat in front of it but was not good enough.
