Me and my cousin Annie want to give a special thanks to some of the servers at this Elk Grove Restaurant. Xydon, tylee, jaedyn and cannot forget Hudson a customer never has to ask really for anything when you have GREAT HARD WORKING servers walking by your table and noticed a container might need a bag. They did not hesitate to ask. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO WE APPRECIATE YOUR COURTESY, RESPECT, SMILES, AND CONVERSATION *****

So excited that a yard house opened up by my house! It's still very busy here since it's been opened for less than a month, so be prepared to wait, especially during happy hour which is M-F from 3-6pm. We decided to come during happy hour for half off appetizers on a weds. We put our names down for a party of 6 and waited about 40 mins. After we got seated, ordering on the ziosk was seamless. All of the happy hour menu was in there and just a click away. Our server was amazing! He kept coming in several times to check on us and to refill our waters. We ordered a bunch of things from the happy hour menu and got to try all of it. It came out super quick, only like 10 mins after placing the order. My favorite was the chicken nachos and the white truffle mushroom pizza. My least favorites were the carnivore pizza and the sliders. They were whatever to me. I did enjoy the calamari, but felt like it had a lot of batter on it. Wings were good but a little salty. Really busy place inside. Thought it would be bigger since it was a new construction but bustling inside nonetheless. Very worth coming for happy hour. I do like the huge menu variety though and tons of beers and cocktails to choose from. Theres a few other items that I usually enjoy from yard house. There's also an outside patio to sit at. Parking is a little small and hectic but hoping that will fix itself when everything else in the plaza opens up.

I was excited to check out this new location. I heard it's only been open for about a month. The food is consistently good at every Yard House location. The pricing is pretty reasonable. The service here was rough at first, but once I received my orders, it improved. When I walked in, I immediately realized there was something going on. They were playing the World Cup on TV. People were waiting for tables and booths, but since I was by myself, I looked for a spot at the bar. There were a couple spots available, so I sat down and took one of them on the corner. It took several minutes for someone to approach me, even though a guy sat down a couple minutes after me and was approached within a minute. The female staff were attentive to everyone but me. A male staffer eventually came up to me and asked if I had been helped, then placed my order. He was the only one who was attentive to me. Another guy was standing at the bar "cleaning", but was mostly just watching the game. My drink was made in a timely manner and tasted great. I soon received my food order. Both my salad and burger arrived at the same time. I asked if they could bring the burger back out later because I wanted to eat my salad first and didn't want my burger to get cold, but they wound up just remaking it and bringing it out later. I appreciated the accommodation since I didn't clarify that beforehand. Once I made that request, a female staffer chimed in, but I told her the male staffer had it taken care of. She came by later and asked if everything was good. Once I was ready to go, a different female staffer closed my bill. Not sure which one was my actual server (even though neither of them served me), but I noticed one of their names on my receipt instead of the male staffer. I hope my tip actually went to him, but he might have been the manager? I have no idea. Besides the confusion with the ladies, I thought everything else was good. The male staffer was great and accommodating, and the food and drinks were perfect. This wasn't necessarily a bad experience, but it wasn't the best first impression. I might come back on a different day when it's not so busy and see how service is.

Came to have lunch here with some family. The restaurant is really big with lots of seating inside and out. Pretty busy seems like always so far. Service is great for it being busy. We ordered a couple items to share. We had the giant pretzel it came with beer cheese and ground mustard. I love giant pretzel and like to order it anywhere that has it. The beer cheese is not for me because I don't really care for beer. The mustard was ok. We also ordered some wings . Bbq and original hot. I liked the bbq wings. I'm not an original hot flavored girl. For our shared entree we ordered the truffled mushroom pizza added sausage and pepperoni. The pizza was hot and good but it tasted a bit on the salty side. I think it might've been the sauce it was topped with. Overall the restaurant was good. I'd probably come back to have drinks and snack.

Waited a few weeks after Yard House had their grand opening because it's always crazy when a new restaurant opens in Elk Grove and takes awhile for the staff to get into the swing of things. When my small group arrived on a Sunday evening, parking was easy, we were quickly seated, and our waiter dropped by within minutes. The waiter had great suggestions especially when it came to the beer on tap. The atmosphere was popping with happy conversations and music that matched the videos on the multiple TVs. Our dishes started arriving after 5-10 minutes. Most tasted as expected; the best was the Mac & Cheese, but the Cheesesteak could've used onions, green peppers, and mushrooms. Prices were as expected and we felt that we received our money's worth. Make sure to come during their Lunch & Lat Night Happy Hour. We were content to add another option to have our late night spots. Fried Calamari Onion Rings Tower House Cheesesteak Fontina Vodka Penne Adult Mac + Cheese Favorite beer on tap were: Malty Amber - Hacker-Pschorr Münchner Dunkel Brown Stout - Left Hand Milk Stout Nitro

We were told this restaurant has only been open about a month, and judging by the crowd, it's already a huge hit! I guess Elk Grove needed a Yard House!! We arrived around 1:30 on a Sunday, and the place was absolutely packed. There was about a45 minute wait, and people were everywhere. It was honestly pretty crazy. Temps were hot as hell outside but the restaurant was nice and cold!! Parking sucks a$$ because it's under construction. No fault of Yard House. Despite how busy they were, the staff had everything running like a well-oiled machine. Our party of seven was seated within the estimated wait time, and our waitress was friendly, patient, and attentive while we waited for the rest of our group to arrive. I like that we didn't have to have our whole party to be there in order to be seated! The biggest surprise was how quickly the food came out. Once we placed our order, our meals were on the table in what felt like less than 10 minutes. I ordered the small Ahi tuna salad ($16.99), and it was fresh, flavorful, and the perfect size.

Busy new location with a few opening-week hiccups! This new Elk Grove location opened on 6/22/2026, and the public interest is definitely high. I came on 7/7 around 5 PM and was surprised to see the line going all the way outside. The indoor dining room, bar, and outdoor patio were all packed. Luckily, my friend had already put our group on the waitlist around 4:30 PM. Parking: Free, but limited for now because the shopping center is still being developed. Several businesses are under construction, so some parking spaces are taken up by construction vehicles, materials, and portable toilets. Restrooms: Clean and decent. Service: Friendly overall, but there were a few hiccups. Water was served right away without us asking, which was nice. They started taking drink orders first, but then also took food orders from some of us, so it felt a little unorganized. I asked for a sample of a beer I'd never tried before so I could decide what to order. I expected the sample to come first, but it arrived together with everyone else's drinks, so it didn't really help me make a decision. Our food also came out in two batches. About half the table got their meals first, while the rest of us waited a while longer. We ended up sharing food until everyone's orders finally arrived. Our server checked on us a couple of times and cleared empty plates and glasses. There was one funny moment when he asked if I was done with my drink. I said, "Not yet," but he had already picked it up. As soon as he realized it, he put it back and apologized. Afterward, they offered dessert, and a few people in our group ordered some. One thing that stood out was how loud it was inside. There wasn't any music playing, but the restaurant was so noisy that we had to practically shout just to talk to the people sitting next to us or across the table. If you're coming with friends and want to actually have a conversation, I'd recommend sitting on the outdoor patio. Overall, it's a great addition to Elk Grove. The staff was friendly, and most of the issues seemed like normal growing pains for a brand-new restaurant that's been incredibly busy. Happy hour: Mon-Fri (3pm-6pm): half price apps and pizza. $2 off beers, wine, spirits, cocktails!

I was anticipating the opening of Yardhouse in Elk Grove. I like their Downtown location but parking is tricky in DOCO and sometimes pricey! So, parking in EG will be much easier! We braved the crowd and came here on Thursday for their Happy Hours between 3-6 pm (Mon. to Fri.). Not sure if it was the 4th of July weekend or they are still new, or both....it was packed! Arrive early if you want to take advantage of their HH. We got here at 3:00 pm and waited for about 15 min. to be seated but the lines started to form outside very quickly. You don't want to get here at 5 pm, wait in line to find out you didn't make the HH. DRINKS $2 off on a selection of cocktails, beer and wine. My Lychee Cosmo cocktail was pretty, sweet and tasty but I barely felt the alcohol. My sister got the Blue Moon beer. For pint size, it was less than $5 after the HH discount. It was cold and served in a chilled beer glass. APPETIZERS A good selection of appetizers are half off during HH and we took full advantage of that. -Margherita Pizza - I love the crust. It's not too thin with a nice texture. I can use a little more tomatoes sauce. 5/5. -Seared Ahi Sashimi - The sashimi is fresh but the sauce is a bit salty. Nice presentations. 3.5/5. -Calamari - It was overly fried with lots of small hard pieces. The two sauces are good. 3/5. -Poke Nachos - The first time I had it in DOCO was amazing. They use different kind of nachos. It's not as fresh and crunchy. I think the portion is a smaller too. 3/5. -Brussels Sprouts - I like that they put a twist to the sauce with a nice kick. Tasty dish. 5/5. -Classic Sliders - it comes with 4 mini sliders with french fries. Good portion. 4/5. -Chicken Wings - We got the Korean BBQ. It was just okay. Your average party wings. 3.5/5 You can order with your server and/or using the tablets on the table. We opted in to order the food on the tablet because we can see the pictures, prices, and customize the item. For some reason, we couldn't order the HH Chicken Wings on the tablet and the server put it in for us. When I got the bill to pay, I noticed we were charged full price for the Chicken Wings. It was $10 more and I address this with our server. She came back and said that it wasn't a HH item and that's why we couldn't order it on the tablet. That doesn't make sense because I can see the item and the HH price but couldn't add it. Even if that was the case, she should say something right off the bat. I didn't want to argue about $10 and ruin my evening. Clearly, they still have to work on some grand opening issues. It's a large restaurant with patio seating. As far as I know, they do not take reservations. I recommend allowing extra time and expect a wait until the hype dies down.

My husband, our two kids, and I were invited to participate in the soft opening of the Yard House on Elk Grove Boulevard. We were both offered two complimentary beverages of our choice if we wanted them. They also had multiple draft beers to try. They had several seating options, and we chose to sit in the indoor/outdoor area. It was very warm outside, so we asked for the fans to be turned on. I think our waiter forgot to turn them on. The food was very good. I ordered a pineapple chicken dish that was flavorful, and the temperature was perfect. The kids ordered from the kids' menu. My husband's meal, on the other hand, had some issues. His T-bone steak was overcooked, so it was sent back, and his sides were incorrect, so those were sent back too. The order was finally correct, and once it was, the taste was amazing! Our server was friendly but could benefit from additional training in getting familiar with the menu. I do appreciate how frequently he and other staff checked on our table. We plan to visit this location again. Welcome to Elk Grove. P.s. GET THE DESSERT. You're welcome.

I would give 4.5 stars if I could. I like the new yard house in Elk Grove. Nice set up and a bunch of servers. We went at a good time so our wait was manageable but I hear it's really long now. Looked smaller from the outside but inside was pretty roomy. We ordered the truffled mushroom pizza and two flavors of the wings. The pizza was pretty tasty and the wings were great. I love buffalo wings and these were pretty dang tasty with a kick not just the tangy flavor. Been craving the wings so I might go back soon, wish me luck on the wait.

Recently visited for lunch. There was plenty of people standing up front, but we were able to get seated in 5-10 minutes. The front desk had their own controlled chaos. Once seated, our server Alo was the sweetest. She was super attentive to our table. On top of that there was plenty of other servers checking in too, which I thought was interesting. Food was good. They ran out of modelo when we visited. All in all we enjoyed our visit. Thanks again Alo!

We tried the new Elk Grove location for Happy Hour. We were told there'd be a 35 minute wait but only waited about 20, not bad. You check in at the door & are then called to the hostess desk & are seated. We had a nice booth inside. Lots of seating inside & out, even have like an in between area to sit plus a full bar. We ordered from the HH menu which has a lot of good items to choose from for half off. They even have a late night HH menu. We ordered a pizza, & calamari. Both were very good. Our server Aaron Hans so outstanding. Very friendly, professional & attentive. I received dessert for my birthday. One thing we realized is that they don't have club rewards at this time. We'll be back soon!

I came here for lunch over the weekend, and the wait was about 20-30 minutes. The restaurant is much bigger than I expected, with plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating, plus a large bar area if you'd rather sit there. Considering it was their opening week, the service was pretty good. Some menu items are ordered through a tablet at the table, while others have to be ordered directly from your server. Our food arrived fairly quickly. The giant pretzel was decent--soft and not dry at all. However, I wasn't a fan of the beer cheese or the mustard, as both sauces were a little too strong for my taste. We also tried the truffle mushroom pizza and added sausage and pepperoni. It was decent overall. The truffle flavor was subtle, which I liked, but the pizza was a bit saltier than I would have preferred. The wings were another item we ordered. They were well coated in sauce and had great flavor. I just wish they offered a spicy sauce option. Overall, it was a solid first experience. The menu has plenty of other items that caught my eye, so I'd definitely come back to try more dishes.

The staff is super attentive and ready to fill your cups or take away any finished dishes. Tonight I had the plum salad. Sounded a little on the wild side but it was amazing! So sweet and refreshing I ate every bit of it! Loved it! For my entree I picked the braised short ribs .. it was so tender! I was put off by the blue cheese mash beneath it a bit but it's ok because the short rib was so delicious. For dessert I had the berry crumb cobbler. The cobbler came with a dollop of vanilla ice cream on top. It was great! The berries were sweet and the crumb top was so buttery. Everything flowed deliciously. My husband had the filet mignon.. he said it was made medium rare just as he asked. And of course the crème brûlée is the reason why he keeps coming back lol My go to for fine dining in Elk Grove! I made a reservation inquiry for my birthday at exactly 5:00 PM on Saturday, April 11, for a party…read moreof two. I was told the earliest available reservation was 7:45 PM. I then asked if there was any chance of being seated sooner as a walk-in, and Aubrey told me they had room for two at a table in the bar area. I specifically asked whether it was an actual table where we could comfortably order food, because I did not want to be stuck at some tiny corner setup where only one plate could fit. I also made it clear that it was my birthday and that I wanted something a little more formal and comfortable. I was told it would be in the front by the bar, not shoved in a corner, though it could be a little crowded if people were in the waiting area. When we arrived, the first issue was parking. For a first-time guest, parking was unnecessarily difficult to figure out, especially during a rainstorm. Since the restaurant is set up like a small house, it was not obvious where to park, and there was no clear sign letting us know there was parking around the back. Once we walked in, I immediately saw the table that had been described to us. It was right near the bar against the wall, and it was much smaller and more awkward than I had been led to believe. My girlfriend was wearing a dress, and because it was such a high table, it made it uncomfortable for her to sit naturally and comfortably. As soon as we sat down, I looked at the table and asked if we were really going to be able to order multiple items and eat comfortably there. I was told they would "pace it" and "make it work." That should have been the warning sign right there. We started with two ice waters, and even that nearly filled the table. They brought a pitcher and poured the water into the glasses. I asked for a separate cup of ice, and because there was so little room on the table, I had to ask the waiter to take the glass back and pour it for me so I would not spill everything. That is how cramped this setup was. We ordered the chicken breast special and a half dozen oysters. First came the garlic bread, and now we had bread, butter, two waters, silverware everywhere, and barely any room left. Then the oysters arrived, and everything had to be shifted around just to make it fit. At that point, the table had bread, oysters, hot sauce, waters, and multiple pieces of silverware for each guest, and it felt like one wrong move would send a glass to the floor. After we finished the oysters and bread, they cleared the table and brought out our entrée. We ordered the shareable chicken breast after I specifically asked whether it would be enough food for both of us. The waiter said it should be. In reality, it was about four small pieces of chicken once cut, three asparagus spears, and two very small scoops of mashed potatoes. For the price, it was honestly disappointing. I cannot remember the last time I paid that much at a nicer restaurant and still left hungry. What made it worse was that they knew it was my birthday and did absolutely nothing to acknowledge it. No small dessert, no candle, no gesture, nothing. Ironically, the only people who made the night feel special were another couple who had apparently been dining there for years. They overheard us mention it was my birthday and kindly bought us two sparkling wines. That was thoughtful, but it also added even more clutter to an already ridiculously tiny table. The service overall was underwhelming. We were barely checked on, and the whole experience felt awkward. The hostess kept staring at us throughout the meal, and at one point, she rolled her eyes when she went to take the Tabasco sauce, and we told her we still needed it for the chicken. For the prices Boulevard Bistro charges, I expected much better service, better communication, and a much more comfortable dining experience. Instead, the whole night felt misleading, cramped, and disappointing. I will not be coming back.

It seems like a tough crowd--but after my visit, I can see why expectations run high. My cheeseburger featured high-quality, freshly ground beef that was well-seasoned with a flavorful, salty crust. The patty was tender and juicy, exactly what you want from a handcrafted burger. The brioche bun was nicely toasted, and the cheese melted perfectly over the patties--both essential details that elevate a great cheeseburger. The burger was simply but thoughtfully assembled with shredded lettuce, sliced onion, pickles, and Butcher's aioli. Their house-made sauce added a nice depth of flavor without overpowering the beef. I appreciated how they kept the toppings classic and balanced--fresh, crisp lettuce, ripe tomatoes, red onion, and tangy pickles complement the richness of the patty and sauce beautifully. The fries were just as impressive. They had that ideal contrast: an ultra-crispy, golden-brown exterior with a light, fluffy interior. Perfectly seasoned, pleasantly salty, not greasy, and sturdy enough to hold their shape--they checked all the boxes. Overall, they hit all the key elements of a truly great handcrafted cheeseburger and fries. High marks from me.

Our waitress told us how the menu worked and prioritized dishes to the table based on timing and items complementary to each other. This is a restaurant that focuses on seasonal items so the menu is constantly changing. When we looked online prior to our reservation, we had a few items in mind to get which were unfortunately no longer available when we arrived. For drinks we had the Sassenach and Tea Time. The Sassenach was very lemon forward. Much more lemon than passion fruit. It had a wonderful sweet and tart balance and was not too sweet. Would definitely order again! Extremely smooth. The Tea Time was delicious as well. It had a light smokiness to it and a thicker viscosity from the syrup they used, which had a wonderful mouthfeel. The Grilled Half Moon Bay Artichoke was wonderfully cooked. The dipping sauce had a nice spiciness to it. I liked the addition of the corn chips for a bit of texture. The Roasted Heirloom Carrot Salad was very tasty. I would say it was more of a side dish than salad. The puree was a nice compliment to the citrusy vinaigrette and was velvety smooth. The Smashed Sifra Potatoes were fantastic with the Tomahawk Ribeye. I only wish there were more! I enjoyed the addition of the tempura chickpeas for texture. Lastly was the 48 oz Tomahawk Ribeye. They told us it would take approximately 45 minutes so all of our side dishes, except for the potatoes arrived prior to the steak. It didn't end up taking as long as expected and I wish the carrots would've come out with the ribeye, but I don't think there would have been room at our 2 person table. They recommended the ribeye be cooked medium rare, so that's what we did and it was perfectly cooked. The meat was very flavorful and melted in your mouth. Would definitely go back again. The food was delicious and it had a great ambiance.

We smelled some fresh thyme on the way in. Inside the restaurant is very aesthetic. I absolutely loved that their menu showed the glass that the cocktail came in. This is my ideal cocktail menu. For my first beverage of the evening, I had the First born made with tequila, damiana, pineapple, strega, and lemon. It was a perfect cocktail in my opinion. The ingredients all worked so well together. This was a perfect glass choice.  From the quick bites section, the pickles were an obvious choice. There was their take on a traditional pickle. It wasn't super dill forward, but it was a solid pickle. The pickled beets were wonderful. I love beets, and these golden ones were no different. Lastly, the pickled squash that they made in a bread and butter version. It was a subtle bread and butter, which was good because normally I do not like bread and butter. I really enjoyed this plate.  I know a cab isn't normally the wine of choice with fish, but I wanted a cab, so that is what I got. Specifically, the Cabernet Sauvignon from Rama (2020) in Napa Valley. It was a nice glass of wine, but I wish it was in a better glass.

Even though the dishes are beautifully curated small bites, we left completely stuffed and thoroughly satisfied. Every single plate was a work of art, boasting a cohesive theme that came alive through wonderful verbal storytelling from the staff. It added a rich, engaging layer to the meal that made the evening feel even more exclusive. While it is certainly a investment and not somewhere we would frequent regularly, it was an incredibly notable, worthwhile experience. We do not regret a single cent or a single bite. If you are looking to celebrate a major life milestone in Sacramento, this Michelin-starred gem is worth every bit of the praise!

Went here for my wife's birthday. Had to pick one of the best spots for her special day. The…read morerestaurant is unassuming as you walk in off the streets of midtown to a really nice bar area. It was during the 10 special individuals menu. I thought the biographies were a bit forced. What could have been a fun way of bringing in a bunch of unrelated dishes came off as kind of irrelevant. Too much information made it hard to follow. I came away thinking this wasn't really adding to my dinner experience. The waiter advised us to be active participants but after the long biographies they left us no gap to interject or discuss. The food was obviously stellar and the wine pairings were excellent but it was honestly hard to tell because the portions were not just small they had to be studied under a microscope. I am not a stranger to fine dining but this was quite a surprise. I knew to expect small plates but I'm talking comically small. So small if you explain it to non restaurant critics they don't even believe you-small. I know Michelin does not rate on portion size but this was shocking. Presentation was impeccable, timing was perfect, but I need more than two (child size spoonfuls) spoonfuls to enjoy a meal. I am not a professional restaurant critic showing up to evaluate food. I am a busy family man and when I dine out I still expect a somewhat satiating meal even at a small plates service. Because these weren't just small plates these were comically minuscule. One of the dessert courses was funny, it was simply a teaspoon of gelato served on a spoon! Don't eat it all in one bite! If you want to be amazed with intricate cooking methods and ingredients this is great but just know you need to have a normal dinner afterwards. Eating before would be too bourgeois as I know they want each plate to shine and not feel full during the meal. Drinks were excellent and the bartender did a fantastic job for us. Realistically and for full disclosure to future diners just understand your dinner service amounts to essentially an appetizer and then you will not be surprised or come away disappointed.
