Have been to this location a few times. Food and beer are always good. Staff is nice and attentive. Recommend the chicken nachos.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Yard House! However my experience at this location was TERRIBLE!!!! Not only was our waitress inattentive, she was unable to answer a question about the menu and did not ask a manager or coworker if they knew about the product I was asking about. Then when it was time to pay the bill we waited about 15 minutes for her to pick it up from us, then 15 minutes after that she came back to say that she had lost my fathers credit card but that they were looking for it. (We were on our way to a game at the rose bowl and were now running late). When about 10 minutes later they found his card (in an iced tea pitcher) they did not offer to take anything off the bill or even a coupon for next time. Coming from someone who works in the same field I am surprised and disgusted with their treatment of that situation. And quite frankly the waitress did NOT deserve a tip and should consider herself extremely lucky that my Dad gave her a 20% tip. That location will not receive my business and I certainly won't recommend it to anyone. I'm disappointed. Treat your customers better! read more

Incredible:( I'm actually a little sad because I absolutly loved this place. I'm a regular customer that would dine here two or three times a month. We decide to come for lunch, not as busy as my regular nightly visits which is great. We come in and they sit us in one of the tables in the middle of the restaurant, personally not my favorite area to sit. Politely, my partner asked the waitress to please move us to a booth as soon one became available and she said, "I'll see what I can do". Then, other customers walked in and they were sat close to us. Apparently they asked the same question as us, but were immediately moved to the booth that was empy when we asked. Hmmm What was the deal with that? My friend had an issue with the Yard House in L.A and I choose to go against his personal opinion about that place thinking the Pasadena location would be different....I guess I was wrong. Now I'm here at P.F. Chang's...I really hope they put a little more value to their customers' requests... read more

Never disappointed with Yardhouse! Love the drinks, the food is amazing and the service is exceptional .

I'm so sorry to say this but the service was terrible. It was a nice day so we decided to sit outside but after awhile without any water in the sun, we requested to be sat inside instead. After relocating, we had to wait even longer to get greeted by our new server. Then finally he showed up with a pretty smile however after ordering we still haven't received water and my child still hasn't received her crayons that she asked for 30 mins ago. After getting our food we had no silverware or napkins and there was seldom any servers around so we couldn't acquire the silverwares. Once we had finished eating, again there seems to be no servers around so we had to wait for our check while our meter was running out on our car. Because the server took so long to give us our check, we had to take half our party back to the streets to refill the meter. Okay moving on, they had horrible service but the positive is that there are vegan options and the food is not that bad :) However the pros do not outweigh the cons, me and my family will never return to this establishment. I hate when people give 1-star reviews for places they've been to ONCE and had a less than stellar experience and then write a review based on that ONE time they were there. This is not my first time at Yard House but the last time i was there this week, it just was overall less-than-average. Called 15 min ahead of arriving, and the person on the phone said the wait is 20 min but we can put you in now. We thought great, we can be seated shortly after arriving..wrong we waited another 20 min. After finally seated, waitress took our drink orders. 20 minutes later after searching for our waitress (no waters on our table) she finally came back with the drinks and took our food orders. Appetizers came out 20 min after that. Asked for more chips for our guac. Entrees finally came out and she said oops sorry forgot about the chips. Refills for our drinks didn't come for another 15 minutes. I ordered 3 tacos...my first bite of the Asada Taco was a huge chunk of unchewable tendon that i had to split into a napkin...the Vampire taco shell was way overburnt, but i was starving at this point so i didn't bother asking to take it back... Pork Belly taco was decent. However the waitress did split the bill which was nice but overall time we were there after getting seated was 2 WHOLE HOURS! I spent about $50 including tip, but man....idk if i'll be back. read more

I like the food from the Yardhouse most of the time, but sometimes it is a hit or a miss. The service, on the other hand, is horrendous. These people must hate their jobs because they always have bad attitudes when they serve us. Mind you, we always say please and thank you and never request too many things. I go to the one in Vegas and they are busier than this place and yet they are way friendlier. I think management really needs to retrain their staff on how to be attentive and plesant if they want their customers to keep coming back. I know I won't be one of them. Came here on a Saturday afternoon and was seated right away. The restaurant was busy, but wasn't so packed it was uncomfortable. The menu is quite extensive. I ordered the boneless chicken wings, which were very good. The servers were friendly, although we were only there for about an hour and we had three different servers during that time. My favorite time to go is after 10PM on a Sunday night. It's happy hour, so selected food is half off. Will definitely be back! read more

This is probably one of my favorite "after work" hotspots. If you're looking for lively, but also chill, this is the ideal location. The service is ALWAYS on point, even when busy. They give you just enough attention to feel like you're valued but not smothered. The Manager, Shaun, always takes time out of managing duties to give warm welcome to patrons and sincerely makes sure your visit is 5 star. Behind the bar, you can't do better than Adam, Alex, Rick and Stephen. THE BEST! And I'm particular about my bartenders! Lastly, the food never disappoints, whether you go gang busters and order steak and potatoes and dine-in or go for chicken nachos at the bar, delish! Made reservations for May 17 for after my brother's graduation at 5:30. Graduation took longer than expected and I called and said we were really running late. 45 mins later we finally arrived and they still held our reservations. Yay! Our server, Diana was great and super friendly and helpful. We ordered and she sent fruit for the kids while waiting. Food was served promptly and thank goodness for that since everyone was starving!!!! Everyone in our party of 10 said food was delicious!!! My graduate brother was even surprised with dessert from our server!!! Wow! Diana was awesome and we are glad we decided to have dinner here after my brother's special day! I've been to this YardHouse before but never had I had such a horrible experience!!! My husband and I ordered as soon as we were offered our drinks because we had a movie to catch. 45min later...I ask the waitress to check on our food because we'd been waiting soo long and the group of 4 that sat after us were half way through their meal! So, a couple minutes later another waitress comes out and said there was a problem with the machine that prints out the orders and unfortunately cut off our order... then she asked what our order was so that they can put it through...its Ridiculous!!! At this point, we paid for our drinks and left without eating . How long would we have waited before they noticed??? I understand it was busy and I understand accidents happen, but our waitress should've been on it! The YardHouse should have more employees or less tables! They need a better system!!! read more

this place is really nice inside friendly staff good food.... except there was a HAIR in our food. It was my first time coming here with a friend, and everything was fine until we spotted a mysterious stringy presence on the plate of chicken strips! EWWWWW! It was fuzzy and long and horrible and okay let's be real we've probably eaten grosser things like uncleaned shrimp with a long string of shit in its back, but still..there is something about hair and food that makes everything unappealing. I visited this location last Sunday, and was so impressed I had to write. I have been to other locations, but this location deserves 5 stars. Here's why. Our waiter, I believe his name was Josh, was polite, friendly, and on top of our order. I've never had a bad meal at Yard House, but today my boyfriend and I had dishes that were extremely salty. We just ate our meals, and chalked it up as experience. Jumozh asked how everything eas, and I casually mentioned that the food wad very salty. He told Josh that we didnt want anything in return, and would definitely pay for what we ate. A few minutes later, a manage by the name of Brittany came to our table, and informed us that she would comp us for the 2 meals. I was shocked. We explained that we would pay for our neals, but she said she wanted us to be satisfied. We were so impressed by this manager being so gracious, accommodating, and polite. I want your management team to realize how much good customers appreciate this type of service, and it doesnt go unnoticed. Went to the spot in Pasadena. It was packed for Friday night, and there were a lot of people waiting for a table. We went past them and just sat at the bar because it was open seating. The beer selection is on point. They have sours, which are hard to find on tap, and they had a lot of hoppy IPA's which my boyfriend really likes. We had the poke appetizer and split a kale/Cesar. Both were delicious! I regret not getting the lobster dip though, that one is out of this world! Price is fair - about 6$ a beer, and the appetizers are definitely large enough to split. The portions are pretty big. It would be a good group place to go, i just wasn't a fan of how dark it was. I could barely see my bf across from me. And i think we sat at a spot that was missed by the servers- kind of a neutral zone sitting behind the bar, so we had to keep grabbing different waiters attention. I think that is just related to where we were siting, and less a reflection on the waiting staff. I hadn't been to yard house in a really long time. We were seated fairly quick. Our waitress, Jennifer, asked us what we wanted to drink. We were ready to order since we were fasting for the holy month of Ramadan. All four of us ordered. Jennifer told me that our food would take about 15-20 minutes as I had ordered chicken. I told her that should be ok. Our food took a bit longer than that. It took about 40 minutes. My son's and nephew's food came out. My daughter's and mine wasn't ready. My daughter food came out about 10 minutes later. Mine was still not ready. Finally about 3-5 minutes later, my food came out. The chicken wasn't what I expected. It wasn't a chicken breast as I thought it was. This was completely my fault. Jennifer was still at my table. I told her to just get me a cheeseburger. A few minutes passed and she came back with a menu. I was a bit upset with that as a few minutes passed and I thought my burger was on the grill. Jenifer wantee to make sure that my order was accurate. About 15 minutes of waiting, my burger still wants ready. He. I get came back out to tell me it needed about 5 more minutes and that the manager, Lemont, was notified. A few minutes passed and Lemont came out with my burger. I proceeded to tell him I was upset with how long it took to prepare my burger. Lemont said he wasn't aware of the whole situation. I told him it wasn't Jennifer's fault. The chicken I ordered was 100% my fault. However, my daughter's dinner took longer than anticipated as did my dinner. I told him I was going to leave a YELP review. Lemont told me not to worry and he will take care of my daughter's dinner and mine as well as dessert for all 4 of us. At that point, I was a bit happier. He and Jennifer came to check on us numerous times to make sure that I was content. Lemont also took care of the 2 root beer floats my kids ordered. I want to say I was very upset with the situation but Lemont hooked it up! I was happy to have walked out of Yard House with about half my bill taken care of!!!! It's Saturday night and we decided to have dinner at the yardhouse. My sister and I had seafood entrees. My halibut was drier than a brick and gritty from the mushrooms. Yuck! my sister was fishing for seafood in her pasta. She gave up. The service was alright but our waitress went on break and the second one was too busy. Thank god for the onion rings. After $78 I left the restaurant dissatisfied and craving something good. I shared my disappointment with the Yardhouse. They responded with kind and positive comments. They even sent a generous gift card that was not solicited but appreciated. They reaffirmed why the yardhouse is one of my favorite restaurant. read more

Stay away-----This place needs to hire some experienced managers to run the big operation. We called and were told that they can hold a table for 15 people. After driving for one hour to get there, the inexperienced rude "manager" (Josh) changed his mind and wanted us to wait an hour to be seated. And no guarantee that we"ll seated together. We left and went somewhere else(too many good options in this part of town)--they won't stay open with this kind of management. Nice decor, HUGE booths, so you get lots of room to spread out. Come during happy hour, which is M-F from 3-6 pm to get appetizers and pizzas half off. That makes the delicious crab cakes only 4 bucks, which is insanely cheap for crab cakes. The best thing on the menu is the clam chowder. Best clam chowder I've had in my life--no joke. I love love love this place. (Hope I dont jinx it..) First off they've got a great selection of beers- my top 3s are Guiness, raspberry chambourg, and Pear Ale. Pretty much its the perfect mix of pub/bar and restaurant. If you get here between 3-6pm (not sure, so call and ask) they've got an appetizer special. They're pretty much full meals because they're appetizers are supersized, and tasty. I always go for the mushu pork lettuce wraps, which they've made a great sauce for.. They also have this great seared ahi, it looked like a piece of art. I like the fact that its filled with young professionals, sometimes B-list actors hangout here too, so there's definite people watching going on here. Definitely gets packed for any sports event on Tv or at the Rose Bowl. Service is pretty attentive, and it they mess up, they usually make amends pretty quick. read more

Pizza was forgettable, ahi was very tasty. We're doing the meatless thing on Fridays for Lent. Friends ordered the usual calamari, fries, etc. They reported the famous bernaise slider was delish. But of course I wasn't able order any-that's what I get for going on a Fri during Lent. All in all, I think I prefer McCormick & Schmick. read more

Let me begin by saying this particular location has 116 beers on tap... I'll wait for that to sink in as I know it took me a few seconds as well. We showed up late on a Saturday night to grab a few drinks, and the restaurant was packed. We put our name on the waiting list and stalked the bar for open seats; luckily for us, however, we managed to snag three seats within a few minutes. As an aside, if you're heading here just for the bar, it opened up around midnight. Although I can't speak for the rest of the restaurant, the service at the bar was great with both friendly and knowledgeable bartenders. The food (appetizers in our case) was tasty and well priced, as was the beer. My one gripe was the lack of parking, forcing us to use the nearby parking structure. Thankfully the front desk will validate the first 90 minutes of your parking. Fun spot to come grab a beer with friends, and I'll be back if I'm ever in the Pasadena area. read more

I just went here with a friend. I liked the yard house because they have a huge collection including draft fruity beer! the place has nice atmosphere. however, I think there is a problem with customer service. No one said hi to us even though there were so many waitresses/bartenders passing by. Finally the manager (I guess he is because he's the only one in white shirt) came over and became our server. He's very nice and answered all questions I had. And he's the only one who also occasionally asked if everything was okey and if we needed something else, even though there were many other bartenders passing by us most of the time, not him. There was this guy who seemed to ignore me even though I was right in front of him and kept looking at him waiting for some attention to ask for a water. I could have said something to get attention but he seemed to purposely look away from me and acted so busy with filling the beer. I understand the place is pretty busy, but a little friendliness and attention to customers' needs are part of all employees' jobs, not just the one that is our server. read more

Yard House is only good for happy hour and drinks. The sliders and onion rings stack are probably the most popular here. Other than that, service here sucks and food is pretty expensive. They're very slow even when it's during the middle of the afternoon and the restaurant is half empty. The staff here is nice, but they can pick it up a little. Dear god I would rate this place a 0 for service. First of all I called in for this place to add my name on the list and we were late but they said that we would be on top of the list when we checked in. So I walked in and checked in and they said that we'd have to wait about 5 minutes. Surely enough people with the party of 3-4 were being seated while my family waited. So I walked to the desk and asked when we'd be seated and the host told us that it would be shortly and shortly became 15-20 minutes. I then walked up impatiently and asked why we weren't seated after being told I would have a seat at a table "shortly" and the host forgot that we were in line while many party's were being seated. Moral of this story, this host is completely and utterly terrible. Make sure if you ever come around here to double and triple check before the host skips you and let's other people take your seat. read more

i'm a huge fan of this place ever since i came here to watch the ucla vs. tennessee game (go bruins)! there are tons of monitors, friendly service, and the atmosphere is perfect for a psuedo-bar/restaurant. also, if you can make it, it's really worth hitting up the happy hour, otherwise the food is priced at $$. read more

Happy Hours is perfect for summer! Family came here at 5:15 for an early dinner. Plenty of space so we were seated at a huge booth. These are our favorites: 4 stars for the Sashimi appetizers. My wife love the sauce! I love the fried calamari! the portion was huge and it was fried perfectly. My older son love the BBQ chicken pizza and onion rings, sliders was done correctly, medium. Waiter did not asked us how we like it done but thank goodness, it was served medium well. I had the Honey beer which goes very well with the hot wings! 2 stars for the Hawaiian poke. We go to Hawaii almost every year so we are spoiled with the authentic taste.This poke does not have sea weeds which is a major ingredient for the authentic taste. in addition,too much soy sauce drained the nature taste of the tuna. in addition, we had a total of 3 different waiters serving us b/c of their break shedule. This was a little annoying. 3 1/2 stars overall for both value and food expereience. read more
