We went furniture shopping today in Rocklin and Roseville and decided to have lunch at the Yard House in Roseville. There was ample parking and we were immediately greeted as we walked inside. It was clean and inviting. The hostess gave us the choice of dining inside or outside on their patio...we chose to sit inside. Upon sitting we were given menus and our server, Sunflower, yes her actual name was Sunflower immediately took our drink and appetizer order and also brought us water. She gave us a a few minutes to peruse the menu before taking our food order. My wife had a cheeseburger that had two types of cheese served with deliciously crispy fries! I had the spicy tuna stack and Sunflower suggested the fried wonton chips with that. Great call on her part! They were crispy and delicious and a perfect accompaniment to the tuna stack. My wife's lemon drop and my House Golden Pilsner came with the fried calamari appetizer we ordered. The calamari comes with a marinara sauce and a jalapeño tartar sauce and Sunflower also brought my wife a straight tartar sauce upon request. Everything was delicious and timely. We live in Auburn, but enjoy driving to Roseville and visiting the Yard House Restaurant. In the past, the food was good, fresh and cooked well. Unfortunately, they have been slipping on our last 2 visits. My wife and I have decided it's our last. We ordered sliders and a kale/ceasar salad (without the kale). The sliders were undercooked, the meat still red. The sauce was almost non-existent so they were not only undercooked, but very dry and bland. The salad used to be amazing. Unfortunately, you had to pick between the brown lettuce, which was anything but fresh. And, just to be honest, my ice cold beer was luke warm. Yuck. Now I know what you may think. With how hard it is to earn a four or five star rating, why give it to a typical American joint? I have many reasons for you. Although it isn't the most fine dining or most top quality food, yardhouse continues to outdo its competitors in so many ways. The biggest point I want to make here is their Gardein selection. As a vegetarian it's extremely hard to find options, and when you do it's either sprouts and lettuce or deep fried Mac and cheese. Here you get a huge variety of options- and all with something unthinkable to others- protein!! Having fake chicken with my meals makes them much more satiating and complete. Also, if you want something not on the vegetarian menu, like the bbq chicken salad, you can just swap for fake chicken. It's an incredible and easy solution, that doesn't cost the restaurant by creating new dishes that don't sell. It is the absolute number one reason we come here and always will. The food overall is what you'd expect from your typical American restaurant like Bjs and such. More sweet, bland, or too much sauce, but it's what you expect. The only actual thing we didn't like after ordering 4 appetizers and 5 entrees were the meat tacos. The service from our waiter was incredible, she was attentive, kept our drinks filled, always checked on us and how our food was, and even offered to make something different when she saw how much my friend really didn't like the tacos. Although it doesn't seem special to most, I think YardHouse should be the staple American restaurant in every town. This is our second time visiting this location and because it was less busy than the first time we visited, I had no idea how spacious and really nice the interior is. The employees from the hostess to our servers were super friendly! The restaurant and spectacular bar area are very clean and with modern finishes. The atmosphere is chill and relaxing. We Yelped "onion rings" which brought us to Yard House Roseville on a Tuesday evening and they did not disappoint! (Thanks Yelpers!) the onion rings were flavorful, crisp, very fresh and with a perfect onion to batter ratio which is important. They are decent for sure. Husband had the cheesesteak sandwich which was delish. Smaller than we expected but none-the-less a perfect size for his dinner with the delicious onion rings and beverage. Our food came out quickly and a a great temperature as well. I had THE MOST PERFECT Malibu Peach Cocktail ever! SO YUM A MUST TRY! (See the pic!)!And I opted for the turkey club sandwich which was SO GOOD! It had a generous portion of avocado which was surprising and the turkey was fresh and yum! You know how you think it will "just be a sandwich?" Well, it was very well made, the toasted bread was just right and super fresh and the bacon crisp and I loved it. This restaurant has a great happy hour menu. Nice ambiance and the servers are generally always pleasant. There's multiple places to sit such as the outdoor patio with a cute lit up tree in the center and there are heat lamps when it's cold out. Theres the big bar area and then the whole rest of the restaurant. This trip we ordered an appetizer we have never had before, the firecracker shrimp. YUM! It was lightly battered with a delicious sauce on it (says sriracha, but wasn't spicy to me) and it came on top of a rice cake with cilantro, green onion, and red pepper threads that don't taste like anything - pretty appearance though! Everything tasted wonderful, just wish the rice cake had been a little more crispy. I recommend that appetizer. Then we ordered the chicken lettuce wraps, can't ever go wrong with those, served with a peanut sauce and a sweet and spicy sauce- the chicken seemed a little mushy, but it tasted fine. And lastly we shared the chicken strips and fries that were delicious as usual served with ranch and a honey mustard. For drinks we ordered the house ipa, new glory gummy worms (my fave), neon rainbows (yum), breaking bud, a Malibu peach cocktail - a little too sweet, and an espresso martini- delicious. We always return here for happy hour - it is a great spot and worth the prices. I definitely recommend trying the Miguel's queso dip! That is my favorite! read more

As soon as I walk into a Yard House, I know that everything in life is going to be okay. I love Yard House, this was my first time at the Roseville location and it did not disappoint. I visited on my birthday with my family and we had a great time. Customer service was great, the vibe was fun, and the food was amazing. This was maybe my third time here, but it was the best experience so far. Spent the time per Father's Day for a Thursday it was pretty busy, but we were seated right away for a table of four. The waiter. Josh was very friendly, and offered. Good advice on menu options. We got a mix of food, tacos, Korean cheesesteak, jambalaya, and a few others. The pokey nachos were very good. Reminded me of sushi but with tortilla chips. The cream cheese steak was way better than I would've thought and it's a pretty large portion for the price. I had a good Korean sesame meat, but then was wrapped in a nice soft bun topped off with the strawberry lemonade. It was a great meal. I've never been to a restaurant that was less accommodating. The front of house was inept and the manager that is working the night of 7/26 is flat out an IDIOT. Refused to allow our party of 6 adults and 6 kids to sit at the same table and when it was possible to have a second table within speaking distance, he REFUSED to allow us to sit at an open table, next to our kids while that table remained open for our ENTIRE TIME AT THE RESTAURANT. So we had to split our families up and sit across the restaurant where we couldn't even see our other party. So our kids were left to fend for themselves on their own. Soft drinks were watered down and terrible. Food was not good and I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. Manager is a dumbass. Visit at your own peril. read more

Sure the exterior is big but it hardly tells the story of the inside of this establishment. Yard House is massive with abundant seating and a central bar that may actually have taps in the triple digits so expect to spend a money reviewing the beer list. Food is decent, pretty typical new-American bar food but done well. I enjoyed the Blue Cheese & Bacon Burger; the blue cheese and bacon chunks were made into a mash on top of the patty which worked impressively well and something that pretty much every other burger place some takes notes on. One time I want to go with a large group to yard house and have everyone get served without somebody not getting anything for an hour. I've learned that at the slightest delay you want to get up and go order at the bar when you suspect you might be the chosen one. Also expect that the beer you ordered is out and have a couple backups ready. I ordered a Korean cheesesteak which was basically just like a regular cheesesteak. If there was anything besides cheese and steak on it, I couldn't tell. So I highly recommend the Yard house Korean cheesesteak if you like a really plain cheesesteak that's pretty much like a little hotdog-sized cheesesteak.
