Wasn't hungry, but those shortage Shiitake Garlic Noodles are hitting right
    Babette C.

Came here after checking out the Riverwalk cruise which launches from below because it was kinda late and the restaurants were closed and my niece what starving. We came in and they were able to seat us easily. I got chicken wings and she got noodles. Nothing was stellar, but it was fine. I feel like this place is more fun with your friends than your teenage niece, because everyone else, from groups of businessmen to fiend groups seemed to be having a blast, while the two of us were just staring at each other. I've been to a Yard House before and if you've been to one, you've b even to them all and you. Know the decor is clean, dark, and fancy. Corporate clean is how I'd describe it.

I normally don't visit chains while travelling, but I was pretty impressed with this Yard House location. The portions were great, the food was great and the service was also on point for our large group. They had a lavender cocktail that was also pretty good.

We were in town for Foursquare Connect 2026 and ended up eating here twice. The first visit was for dinner, and I ordered the burger. It was really good--juicy, flavorful, and definitely worth ordering. The only downside was that it took about 30 minutes for our food to arrive, and we were seated right next to the bar during a Spurs game. Let's just say my wife and I learned to communicate through lip reading and interpretive gestures because we couldn't hear each other over the crowd! Our second visit was for lunch, and my wife and I split a sandwich, which was also very good. What really stood out this time was our server. She was outstanding--friendly, attentive, cheerful, and on top of everything we needed. Great service always makes a meal even better, and she absolutely delivered. Overall, we had a good experience both times. The food was solid, the service on our second visit was excellent, and we'd definitely come back. Just one suggestion: if it's game day and you're hoping for a quiet conversation, ask to sit away from the bar...unless, of course, you enjoy shouting sweet nothings across the table!

I came to San Antonio for a conference and stayed at a hotel conveniently located next to the Yard House, which is why I decided to have dinner there on my first night. It was very convenient after a long travel day. Since it was a Saturday night, the restaurant was quite crowded. As I was dining alone, I opted to sit at the bar to avoid the wait and I'm glad I did. My meal was excellent; the salmon was especially delicious and cooked perfectly. The bar attendant was incredibly attentive, friendly, and made the experience feel very welcoming. Overall, I was genuinely impressed by this location. The LA franchises could definitely learn from the level of service and hospitality here.

Cold beer. Friendly staff. Appetizers were delicious. Place was packed. Ordered the edamame flavor was good a little under cooked. Ahi tuna was great. Sliders and truffle fries were the best.

Stopped by while in town visiting and met up with my wife's cousins at yard house for a quick bite. It was pretty packed but was able to get a table for all of us. I ordered the chicken tacos and rice and beans which was pretty good and filling. I also had an IPA flight that was pretty darn good. The service was fast given the amount of people we had in our group and the restaurant was packed also. I'll come back the next time I'm in town.

visited the Yard House last month during March Madness. It was located across the street from my hotel so that a huge plus. I did not want to have to deal with an uber. The Riverwalk was to packed with tourists. I sat at the bar as i wanted to watch March Madness. The guests I was seated next to were nice enough to let me change the channel to see basketball game I wanted to see so that was a plus. The music playing was great upbeat classic rock. The entrance to the restaurant is one floor up from the street on Commerce. Maddy was very pleasant and provided service with a smile. She was very attentive to all customers. I ordered the garlic shiitake noodles and crispy Brussels sprouts along with a tall double captain and Coke Zero. Everything was great. Before a concert I wanted something that wouldn't mess with my sensitive stomach. I enjoyed my experience so much that I returned the following day and ordered the exact same thing. Enjoyed it just as much the second time around.

Stopped by Yard House and had a really solid experience. They have a long list of vegetarian options. The Gardein menu can be found online or ask waiters and they have it on their device. I tried the Gardein Orange Chicken along with their pretzel, and both were seriously good. The orange chicken had great flavor with just the right amount of sweetness and kick, and the pretzel was warm, soft, and perfect for sharing. Service was attentive, the atmosphere was lively, and everything came out just right. Definitely a spot I'd come back to.

Yard House has the BEST happy hour. Monday-Friday 3-6PM all the appetizers are half off and this is such a great deal. All of their appetizers are so good, I love getting the lettuce wraps but we got a variety of apps for the table and we shared all of them. They also offer half off pizzas during their happy hour as well. Definitely come check out their happy hour if you're looking for some delicious food that isn't expensive!

Tired and hungry, we decided to have dinner across the street from our hotel at YardHouse at the Shops at Rivercenter. I hadn't been to a YardHouse for years and wasn't expecting much, so I ended up being pleasantly surprised. It was a weekday evening and we were immediately seated even though, to my eye, it seemed pretty busy. Our waiter was amiable and semi-attentive (meaning right when we would start to think "where is he?" he'd suddenly appear). I ordered a chicken-avocado sandwich and my wife ordered the Two Pepper Jack Burger. I got regular fries with my order and she upgraded to sweet potato fries. Her burger consisted of a thick beefy patty, roasted jalapeño & poblano peppers, pepper jack cheese, and chipotle ranch. My sandwich consisted of a hunk of grilled chicken with a cumin & chili rub, avocado, Swiss cheese, roasted tomatoes, arugula, and lemon-basil aioli on a toasted brioche bun. We decided to cut our sandwiches in half and share. The chicken sandwich was exceptional. The flavors burst in my mouth. One of the better chicken sandwiches I've ever had the pleasure to consume. The burger was also excellent, thick, tender, and juicy. While she thought the heat was minimal it made my eyes water...but I can barely handle even a tiny bit of heat. Still, I thought it was undeniably delicious. Our fries were also great, as was the sweet tea I ordered. As mentioned, I left with a smile on my face and a very happy tummy.

One of our go-to dinner spots downtown! We love that we usually don't have to wait long for a table, which is always a plus. The drinks are consistently ice cold, and the cocktails definitely pack a punch. The garlic noodles are an absolute must every time--we never skip them. My husband always gravitates toward the fish and chips, which never disappoints. On this visit, I decided to try the calamari and... yum! Definitely adding that to my list of favorites. Always a solid choice for a great, reliable dinner downtown.

There are places you visit, and then there are places that feel like they've been waiting for you. Yard House on the Riverwalk falls firmly into the second category. Now I've spent a fair bit of time at the La Cantera location, which is solid in its own right, but this one here, right along the water, feels like something else entirely. Dare I say it, it borders on becoming a San Antonio landmark. The view alone could carry the evening if the rest didn't show up, but thankfully, everything else does. Arrived on what should have been a fairly ordinary Saturday. I came hunting for atmosphere, a bit of movement, and most importantly, a proper cold draft. And I'll tell you this, the Bud Light drafts were going down suspiciously easy. Each one tasted like the next one wanted to be ordered. Big ups there. We opened with the poke nachos, which I'll call what they are, a proper table setter. Fresh, light, and just enough flair to make you feel like you made the right decision before the mains even hit. For the main event, me and the lady split the chicken Alfredo. Not always the flashiest choice on a menu this size, but sometimes you play the hits. Creamy, well portioned, and exactly what it needed to be after a couple of cold ones and a Riverwalk breeze. But let me be clear, this place is more than the food. It's the setting, the energy, the people walking by like you're in the middle of something bigger. You sit there long enough and you start to feel like you belong to the rhythm of the river itself. Yard House on the Riverwalk is not just a stop. It's a scene. And on this particular Saturday, it was our scene. Cheers, Matt Simmons

There is paid parking next to the restaurant, which has large tables with plenty of room for large groups. Our server, Angie, was great! But the food was average, and the manager was a big disappointment. Our friend has a severe shellfish allergy, and even though they have an allergen guide, the manager couldn't assure her that there would be no cross-contamination. Check this link out: https://m.yardhouse.com/nutrition Having an area to prepare food for people with food allergies is a quick solution to this problem. You are going to tell me that in a restaurant with proud chefs, none of them have a favorite pan they could use to prepare a single dish without contaminating it. For me, that's not acceptable! That's why you are not losing one or two customers; you are losing three families that came together to have a good time, and because of your policy, one had to go hungry. We are never stepping into a Yard House again unless your policies provide proof of food safety.

Do you do reserved areas for parties of 50-75?

I'm not sure for parties that large but, they do have an area that may accommodate you. I would just give them a call. The customer service was great!

I'm still trying to find a place that my 22 mo son can eat at. We're vegetarian, no alliums (onion and garlic family), no peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, eggs, avocado and kiwi. Can he eat anything here that isn't plain rice or a piece of lettuce?

    Do you take reservations?

Hey Janet! We don't take reservations. You can always call to see if we have our wait list available. Here's the number: (210) 354-3844

What time do they stop serving food?

Hey Lily! Sunday - Thursday our food last call is 12:30AM. Friday and Saturday it is 1AM.

What is the parking situation? Parking lot? Parking garage? Is it in a mall?

It's right outsize the big shopping center. Free parking is probably a no go but there is a parking garage next door. Although, it is right by the river walk, so park anywhere close by and enjoy the scene

How late do they serve food?

12:30 AM weekdays and 1 AM weekends

I'm taken aback every time I walk into to this wonderfully positioned taqueria in downtown steps from the River Walk. The smells, the feels, the sounds- it'll set your senses on fire. It's ambience is nothing short of walking the streets of Mexico and stumbling across the best local food find there is- it's your lucky day. It doesn't end there, because I have yet to discuss the flavors that this place dishes out. If you can imagine that other taquerias in town as as good as mamma's cooking, Plantaqueria is grandma's cooking saying, " I taught them everything they know." The counter service, decor and neon lights transport you to a pueblo that you probably have no business being in but were fortunate enough to get lost in. I feel that the people working to advance this visionary concept are in love with what they do because you get that experience with every bite of fresh, homemade goodness, weather you dine in or take/order out. Dude, fresh corn and flour tortillas, C'mon, man!! And speaking of vision, the owner, Sofia, who looks like she would get IDd at a bar has created something truly unique and incredibly delicious. Plantaqueria has revolutionized modern, classical Mexican street cuisine. It's open 7am-7pm so you can literally have this all day and you might wish you did. Y'all need to get you some, and don't thank me, thank the purveyors of this Alamo City gem. P.s. I've brought my mom in to eat this stuff and she totally agrees!

I would not recommend the brunch to anyone unless they are strictly going for the view. The view and vibe are stunning. The daytime vibe is much different than the nighttime so I highlyyyy recommend going for dinner and drinks. Make a reservation because it gets crowded. The coffee bar that's there early in the morning , which is probably more for the hotel guests because it's not open for long, was kind of a let down! I had the kindest barista that was easy to talk to. However half of their menu wasn't available because there was no matcha and apparently there hadn't been in weeks which is so unfortunate. For mains, Raymond steered us in all the right directions: Mustard Glazed Faroe Island Salmon with warm fingerling potatoes, parsnips, mushrooms, frisée, and herb oil - $30. Beautifully cooked and flavorful. Tomatillo Shrimp with grilled Gulf shrimp, white cheddar grit cake, and tomatillo butter - $28. Bold and delicious. Loretta Burger with crispy prosciutto, manchego, arugula, tomato, grilled red onion, and smash sauce on a brioche bun. Choice of fries or tots - $18 (some had tots, and one had fries - tasty). Absolutely nailed it. Queso Fundido Burger with fried chorizo-queso blanco, charred poblano, and cactus salsa verde. Choice of fries or tots - $20. Indulgent in the best way. My dining companions enjoyed a variety of wonderfully prepared cocktails while I stuck with a Topo Chico. I still felt right at home. Overall, Bar Loretta felt like a world away from the tourist-heavy spots along the River Walk. Dining out has gotten so expensive lately and too often the food or service does not justify the price. Bar Loretta delivered on both. Great food, great service, great value. Highly recommend. We would absolutely come back. 5 stars

Next time I'd for sure reserve a table inside to experience the ambiance. The servers were so sweet and took care of us well. Will be back!

There's a moment when you sit down at Paesanos River Walk where you realize you didn't just pick a…read morerestaurant... you picked front-row seats to the whole show. Perfect day. Not too hot, just that easy breeze rolling off the river like it's got nowhere else to be. I'm there with my daughter and family, and the world's walking by boats cruising, people laughing, a little chaos, a little charm... dinner and a show, no ticket required. Now the food real Italian food. Not the kind that just throws red sauce at you and hopes for the best. This is layered. Garlic that actually means something. Rich, buttery sauces clinging to perfectly cooked pasta like they're in a lifelong commitment. You taste herbs, you taste depth it's the kind of Italian food that makes you slow down mid-bite and just nod like, "Yeah... they got this right." Drinks? Smooth enough to keep ordering, strong enough to make you question your life choices in the best way. Service was dialed in. Nobody missing, nobody stressed just right there when you needed them, like they were reading your mind or watching you a little too closely... either way, it worked. And the atmosphere? That's where it gets dangerous. Because you sit there watching the River Walk roll by, the noise, the laughter, the movement... and suddenly two hours disappear. You're ordering dessert you didn't plan on, another drink you don't need, and nobody at the table's in a hurry to leave. I came for Italian food... ...and ended up staying for everything else.

This restaurant came highly recommended by the locals we spoke to & if you're seeking pasta…read more It is a beautiful setting. The ambience within the premises is also lovely with that of a cellar vibe, low lighting (at night) and of course the water which works well. The staff were professional, friendly and attentive. Menu-The menu was quite extensive. However, would not normally attend a place this pricey, but it was a special occasion & you tend get what you pay for. Meals- We ordered the Capellini Pomodoro Crudo & the Spaghetti ( Spicy ) The red sauce is delicious on the spaghetti. The Crudo, it was a little disappointing. It hardly had any roasted tomatoes in it and large chunks of mozzarella that never melted. The olive oil was very present & not much else. Would have been better tossed with some of that spicy tomato sauce! (see pics). Note-Advise you to make a reservation! We were fortunate: as we went late in the evening, no wait time, seated outside & they were still fairly busy. The restaurant offers a private cruise dining $ experience. Check their website for details. This Italian cuisine is catered aboard a floating vessel while surrounded by the historic scenery of the river.
