My family and I were seated quickly. The "Yard House" is located next the the Marriott Hotel (Riverwalk & the mall "Shops at the RiverCenter". We order from a tablet. Food came out quickly and customer service was good. My kids love the appetizer "Classic Slider" (4 sliders & fries) 5/5 stars. We had to order 2, this was a hit. We also order "Fried Calamari" 3.5/5 stars (alittle to salty) & "Fried Chicken Tender with fries" 4/5 stars from the appetizers. Sometime eating from the appetizers is better than the entree section. We had a party of 12 and we arrived at 11:30. One hour later the manager comes over and tells us the system went down and our order is two orders away. We got food around 1:05 PM. We missed our conference meeting at 1 PM and couldn't attend it. We would have been completely fine if they would have communicated that with us and we would have eaten at a fast food establishment instead of a sit in, because of our time crunch. The food was good according to my coworkers. I ordered the pork burger, and it tasted funky. I got full quickly, since we waited so long without eating. I also had to wait for my fries, my order couldn't even come complete. Our waitress Brynn, was awesome but the manager was not helpful, we should have been compensated somehow and they did not effectively communicate with us. Definitely don't eat here if you have a conference!!!! read more

I've been a Yard House fan for years, but with menu changes I am missing the old days! The blackened ahi sashimi was tasty and fresh, but forgettable. The blackened shrimp tacos were a touch too spicy for me, and the rice was hard and stale. They are offering Betty Buzz which I was glad to try while my husband had a beer. Overall, the beer selection and ambience remain great. Our server Valentine was super friendly and fun, but the food was a definite disappointment. read more

I know, it's a chain and that is not like me to visit this type of establishment, but hear me out. First of all, I do want to recognize the importance of supporting our local franchise owners. Yes, the owner could have come up with an original concept for a restaurant and their own menu and developed a supply chain to ensure consistent menu offerings, but I have come to learn that these owners chose a franchise because of their belief. Their belief in that company. Something and/or someone truly won them over and they know that their community will be the better for it. And concerning this location, it sounded delicious and seeing the water while eating caught my attention. So there I was, enjoying my queso dip and chips and cheese curds while watching the walkway fill up with people. But that was just the primer. My heart was calling out for the Whiskey & Aged White Chedder burger. The mushrooms and horseradish aioli (and side of house fries) were the chef's kiss on this burger. Of course I ordered it Medium (just to be safe-don't like to go too raw on a first visit). And that was enough for me. I tapped out (lazy pun intended) after that. Amazing customer service and a good price point for the area. Highly recommend. read more

First off, Matt is a professional bartender and he gets 10 out of 10. As soon as I get a beer a guy sits next to me and says that a miller lite cost $5 and ask me to buy him one. Being a business traveler, I pretty savvy with some of the tricks out there. There appeared to be hookers scoping the place out too. I know this seems like absurd post. Just be careful everyone. I left. It's just like a hotel bar. Nothing good happens at a hotel bar and get hit up as quickly as I got hit up. Doesn't seem safe. read more

Really enjoyed this location! Staff was prompt and very kind! The food here was pretty good compared to the location in Las Vegas. My burger was cooked to perfection and the sweet potato fries were amazing per usual. The little one absolutely loved the kids sliders and fries. Wait time for Thursday night was not bad. Got seated right away. Our waiter was great, forgot her name. Pricey for being downtown but great several food options. Service was a little slow to the table and the order took a while. Their happy hour specials here can't be beat. Half off apps and pizzas. So that's amazing deal pizza was like $8 and apps were like $6-$7 dollars. The food was good you can also get $4 off a yard drink which is huge and I didn't finish it. Late night stop at Yard House in San Antonio. Our bartender was amazing, lots of testers to get the best one for our tastebuds. I went with the Blueberry Cider. Our appetizers arrived quickly and were delicious: calamari, crispy wings and chicken nachos. The food went so fast I couldn't catch a picture! The atmosphere was fun! Houston took home the win as the Final Four begins on Wed. Great start to our girls trip! read more

What a mess. I mean nobody expects the Yardhouse to be world class cuisine. But it should be better than a fast food joint. Over salted hamburger and burnt pizza was complemented with a forgotten salad and zero drink refills. Nothing like bad service delivering subpar food. Poke nachos were on par with other locations, so there's that. read more

Always had a good time at the yard house. Good selection of beers. Steaks and sandwiches are delish. House steak sauce is good. Tried the voodoo and the other blonde beers. They were good. Another hit drink- the margarita all decked up with add ons. The ahi tuna is awesome, so are the other sea food selections. read more

So far, everything I've had here has been amazing! We got the queso (different but sooooo yummy!!), cheese curds, spinach artichoke dip, vampire taco (these are loaded! You only need 2), kurobuta burger, wings and sliders. We all left with a Togo box! The service was great, the manager was constantly walking around checking on everyone. Anissa was absolutely wonderful :)!!!! She recommended some amazing plates for me and my boyfriend and they all were so so good! She was so sweet and kind and made our whole experience amazing! We've been to yard house many times but she really made our time here so wonderful! I had the Cheesesteak sandwich and my boyfriend had the Nashville chicken and pancakes and WOW those are absolutely amazing if you're unsure to try them you definitely should!!! No. No. No. The service was just bad. The place wasn't busy but for some reason it was sad and slow. The A/C wasn't keeping the place cool and everyone was melting. Got seated and that's the jest of it. Food was about 45 minutes and don't even worry about a drink refill. The place was dirty and run down. Not the place I remember in Vegas. I had the Korean cheese steak and truffle fries. Delicious. read more

Husband and I went in for couple drinks, watch the game, and late night dinner. We ordered couple drinks and shared a diner plate. The bar staff were super nice and quick service. There was a basketball game on so it was a busy bar but didn't hurt the service. The ambiance was candle lighting, darker room, but not too fancy. My salmon was super good but the broccoli was not tender (had to use a steak knife to cut it) and the parm fries were not that tasty. read more

Really great place! It's near the Riverwalk but food and atmosphere are much better than many of the more touristy places. Delicious watermelon margarita and yummy sliders. Really had a hard time deciding on what to order because there were so many options that sounded wonderful! Service was top notch as well! I plan to eat here again during my stay. read more

While visiting San Antonio for a convention, our hotel was located across from Yard House, which made it super convenient. We visited late on our first night, around 9pm, and it was still busy. I would assume people visiting the river walk keep this location consistently busy. We ended up sitting at the bar since it was only two of us and could skip the wait. We order the Zoodle bowl with shrimp and the Steak Bowl. Both were very good! I was surprised how much I enjoyed the zoodles since it was my first time trying them. The price was a little steep, but there were quite a few shrimp to make up for it. Service was fairly consistent and we enjoyed our dinner! read more

The atmosphere was great! Fun place to watch the Super Bowl! The service was a little slow and we had to wait on drinks more than once, but they were packed! The pretzel was great!! Epic location, epic draft beer selection. Come for the beer and stay for the views! They have an epic selection of local beer on tap (see photo). We came for lunch and I had to sample some San Antonio brews. Ended up trying the Honey Blonde ale and Nitro Pecan Porter. Both are worthy of repeating. For food, we started with Miguel's Queso (creamy with a kick, definitely cheese-forward). Then we shared a plate of vampire tacos and the chicken avocado sandwich. The sandwich was just OK, but the tacos were excellent! Soft flour tortillas coated in cheese and fried to a crisp... What's not to love??! Definitely a good spot for happy hour!! They have tons of 1/2 priced appetizers and flatbread pizzas + specials on most drinks. I got the poke nachos and calamari. The poke was yummy and fresh, I really liked the crispy wonton chips they came on. However, the calamari was pretty rubbery and gave me the ick after a few pieces so I'm not sure what that was about ... other noteworthy dishes were the chicken lettuce wraps and spinach artichoke dip! I ordered this delicious margarita x4 lol I was lit so I don't remember the flavoring but it's very similar to a prickly pear! Just got in to town for work and needed some football and lunch...came to YH and watched my Broncos down the undefeated Eagles to my delight! haha Nah but Nichole, Gauge and Maia were all fantastic! My drinks were made perfectly, service was swift and their demeanors were amazing...tried the spicy tuna stack (one of my faves) and it once again did not disappoint! Also tried the 2 pumpkin spice beers on tap--YESSSSSSS! Would definitely go back there and hopefully one or all of them are on shift again! read more

The smells, the feels, the sounds- it'll set your senses on fire. It's ambience is nothing short of walking the streets of Mexico and stumbling across the best local food find there is- it's your lucky day. It doesn't end there, because I have yet to discuss the flavors that this place dishes out. If you can imagine that other taquerias in town as as good as mamma's cooking, Plantaqueria is grandma's cooking saying, " I taught them everything they know." The counter service, decor and neon lights transport you to a pueblo that you probably have no business being in but were fortunate enough to get lost in. I feel that the people working to advance this visionary concept are in love with what they do because you get that experience with every bite of fresh, homemade goodness, weather you dine in or take/order out. Dude, fresh corn and flour tortillas, C'mon, man!! And speaking of vision, the owner, Sofia, who looks like she would get IDd at a bar has created something truly unique and incredibly delicious. Plantaqueria has revolutionized modern, classical Mexican street cuisine. It's open 7am-7pm so you can literally have this all day and you might wish you did. Y'all need to get you some, and don't thank me, thank the purveyors of this Alamo City gem. P.s. I've brought my mom in to eat this stuff and she totally agrees!

She really enjoyed the chicken but not a big fan of the Mac and cheese. The daytime vibe is much different than the nighttime so I highlyyyy recommend going for dinner and drinks. Make a reservation because it gets crowded. The coffee bar that's there early in the morning , which is probably more for the hotel guests because it's not open for long, was kind of a let down! I had the kindest barista that was easy to talk to. However half of their menu wasn't available because there was no matcha and apparently there hadn't been in weeks which is so unfortunate. They have tons of potential and have the right staff, so hopefully they fix that soon!

When going to this establishment DO NOT ASK FOR WES. From the moment we sat down he gave us a I don't give a f*** attitude. We understood the kitchen was closing soon so we were prepared to give him our complete order. . Not only was he very cold with the whole interaction but our apps and entrees hit the table before our drinks. We never got any app plates, struggled to get refills on our waters and my truffle fries were cold. Brought it to his attention that they didn't taste fresh and he didn't do anything about them. . By the time our entrees came out our drinks were sitting at the bar, like we were literally sitting next to the service well watching the drink we ordered die. . I as a customer had to take it upon myself to go to the bartender and ask if that was our drink and it was, I had to run my own drink to my table. Tristian was the bartender that night and I'm sure he remembers the interaction. . Around 12:55 ish, wes came up to us to let us know we had to be paid out before 1 am... I eat here a lot and know that they do last call around 1:15 ish am. Truthfully it looked like he was just trying to get out early and was upset he got sat last, but as a worker in the industry, you sign up for the job and food service doesn't have a set out time. Because he was impatient. He gave us our checks, and left as soon as he could. It felt like a slap in the face because he knew we had a horrible time and for him to walk by our table with his personal belongings and say bye guys felt like a slap in the face. We never got our boxes. . Whenever my friend was cashing out the server literally told him "we're short on change tonight so my bad" my friend said okay because what else was he supposed to do Not only was he shorted change but it's the principle. It must have been her first day because she asked who was together after and then lost my friends card and said she never gave it to her! Then after we asked for the manager she gave major attitude over HER MISTAKE!!!!! The manager Taylor wasn't that much helpful either. She didn't even attempt to look for it or apologize , you work in customer service. We were there for a birthday celebration and she ruined it!!!!! Literally the worst service I have ever received in my life!!!!!!!!!!! Second or third time visiting this location. Wonderful service. The location was great for me and my family who were staying at the Marriott nearby. I am not completely familiar with their menu. I have had their ribs which were good and the year before their burger which was also good. The waiter seemed attentive. The only thing I did not like is if you are coming from the mall you have to walk through the entire restaurant to the other side of the restaurant to check in to get seated. It wasn't a huge issue when we let someone know we wanted to be seated they explained this us. However, it would have been much more pleasant had they been set up to help the people coming from both the mall side and street side of the restaurant. read more

Tacky servers.... I was bombarded with 3 girls all asking me if I need anything. Yes I need a minute to open my menu. Order the French onion soup and the waitress drops the check in my face like I'm some sort of joke. I walked out before my food arrived due to a ruined appetite. Then some grown man asks if I took my lithium.....wow never been more insulted. Let's just say that this place won't be around too much longer. Way too many menu items. I had a great experience at the yard house with a co-worker this week. The food was amazing! Unfortunately, we couldn't indulge in cocktails (during the work day) but the food itself was worth the trip. Our server was very friendly & we were sat in a quieter spot. For my main I had the scallops with creamed corn risotto. It was a dainty portion but the flavors were nice. My husband had the short rib tagliatelle which he loved. It was very rich and filling. We had the buttermilk pie again for dessert and this time it tasted sweeter than I remembered. It was good but we couldn't finish it. Idk if it was my tastebuds or if it was different. The 1800s Western decor creates a fun atmosphere both outside and inside. I came solo at lunchtime on a weekday and was immediately seated at a wooden high-top table near the bar. The friendly woman who was bartending took care of me during my meal, providing excellent service...and extra napkins, which I defintely would need. I ordered the Bonham Brisket Grilled Cheese, a sandwich consisting of slow-cooked brisket and mutiple slices of melted cheese between locally made sourdough bread. (side note: Bonham refers to James Butler Bonham, a brave officer and courier who gave his life at the battle of the Alamo) The sandwich was stuffed with super-tender brisket. The brisket wasn't smoked and had mild flavor, overpowered by the cheese. I used a provided side of fantastic barbecue sauce to kick it up (and also to dip my fries in). The bread of the sandwich was nicely grilled and delicious, definitely greasy (as expected!). I enjoyed it and it filled me up. It's a great place to get some food, especially when visiting the Alamo.
