I see that I last reviewed the Yardhouse in 2016, so suppose that I should update. The area around the Yardhouse seems to be cleaned up, so walking on 4th street seems safe enough (stay away from 3rd). We got seated quickly and waited on right away. The beer selection was huge with some of my favorites on the menu. We started with the firecracker shrimp, which was very nice, with a surprise rice cake at the bottom. Flavors were outstanding. My wife had the Kurobuta Pork Burger, a delicious combination of beef and pork. She said it was outstanding. Mine was the Korean Cheesesteak Sandwich. This was also nice! I'm glad our waitress suggested it. All in all, the service was great and the food came out quickly !! read more

Food was good, service was unbelievably bad. This was our second time at Yard House. The first visit was great. We came with six people, enjoyed the food and the experience, and that's exactly why I decided to bring a larger group here tonight. Big mistake. The food itself was still good, but the service completely ruined the night. Our server, Josh, was dismissive and unprofessional from the moment we sat down. He literally threw coasters onto the table where we were sitting. At first, I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt, maybe different service style, maybe we're in Seattle and we're from New York, but it only went downhill from there. The attitude, the lack of care, and the overall treatment made our entire group feel unwelcome. The final straw was when I ordered a cappuccino and it was brought out in a paper cup. When I asked why, I was told they "couldn't find any glasses." I declined the drink to avoid further issues, and instead of handling it professionally, I was met with a snide comment: "This isn't Starbucks." That was unnecessary and disrespectful. We still tipped appropriately because that's who we are but spending close to $1,000 at a restaurant where a large group is treated like an inconvenience is unacceptable. It's sad to say but I wish we didn't tip appropriately because I'm still upset and embarrassed that my coworkers and myself had to go through that. . I've never written a negative restaurant review before, even when service wasn't great, but this experience crossed the line. Management should seriously reconsider who they have representing their restaurant. One server can absolutely destroy what would otherwise be a good dining experience. read more

Went during happy hour (weekdays 3-6pm) and ordered 4 appetizers that were each 50% off! Plenty of seating options were available (bar, high table, or booth), received friendly and quick service, and ate great food with good-sized portions! Poke nachos: 10/10 Plenty of fresh tuna and avocado to pair with the fried wontons! Great flavor and my favorite appetizer we ordered. Boneless chicken wings: 9/10 Ordered boneless chicken wings, half lemon pepper and half Korean chili. Lemon pepper flavor is the way to go! The chicken itself somehow remained so juicy despite being fried. Definitely needs to be ordered during happy hour for a steal though, since you only get 10 wings per plate. Carnivore pizza: 7/10 Nothing really spectacular about this pizza, but nothing really wrong with it either. It'll get the job done if you're craving pizza. Chicken lettuce wraps: 5/10 Ratio of chicken to lettuce was unbalanced (way too little lettuce) and the chicken was too salty. Really solid food overall! Will happily, but also most likely only, come back during happy hour for these appetizers because the prices are harder to justify with their portion sizes. read more

Oh, how I enjoy Yard House! Boy, do I wish we had one in Reno! Minus one star because of the LOUD MUSIC that makes everybody have to YELL to be heard. It detracts from the ambiance a LOT. It's a prominent, noisy place. There is a massive bar in the middle of the enormous restaurant with plenty of TVs to see from any seat available. My husband and I tried the YH FRST IN Seattle, and we went back the following evening. The atmosphere is pumping and active. The food is delicious, with a great variety of items to please anyone. They offer a wide range of drinks with many flavorful options. My husband enjoyed his smoked old fashion and, for me, the smoked pink dragon fruit. The Firecracker Shrimp appetizer is tasty and now a favorite of ours. I really, really enjoyed the THAI GRILLED PORK CHOP: 11oz bone-in, basil cilantro cauliflower "fried rice" with mushrooms, snap peas, bok choy, carrots, red onion, baby broccoli, spicy honey sauce, crispy garlic. It has flavor, variety, and is juicy. Yum! My husband tried a variety of tacos and enjoyed them. We enjoyed our meal, we went back the next night, and I ordered the same thing! Came here for Thursday night football, and was not disappointed! They definitely cater to this type of audience, and had a bunch of tables, booths, and seats setup for great viewing positions. We also wanted to come during happy hour which they have great deals for -- half off most apps and pizzas, as well as drink discounts too. We got the calamari, chicken lettuce wraps, poke nachos, and pepperoni+mushroom pizza to share. All of them were good enough, but for a good pice. I was quite surprised by how good the poke nachos were, especially the sauce. The calamari wasn't as crispy as I would have liked though, and the pizza was pretty average. First off the food and service was great. We went there 2 nights in a row. Very busy both nights. The biggest issue is the entire restaurant was FREEZING. No heat. Many guests in hats and coats. Whatever the mechanical issue is fix it. Rent portable heaters. Take care of your guests. The GM should know this. The manager should know this. Delicious salad! I sat at the bar by myself when I was in town for work. Friendly bar staff who took my order, helped me modify my salad order so I got what I wanted and then my food came out quickly and was delicious. Bathrooms were clean, restaurant was loud and lively. I went here for a beer with a couple of my coworkers after work and had a great experience! I have been to other locations in different cities, but this was my first time at this location. It was 3:45 in the afternoon, and I was surprised by how busy it was, but we were able to get right in. We each ordered our beer and some food from the happy hour menu. I got the crispy Brussels sprouts, and my coworker got the sliders. Both were much bigger than I expected and absolutely delicious! I love the atmosphere of this restaurant. As we approached Yard house, it looked closed. Once you enter the doors, it's definitely open! It's almost like a club! It's somewhat dimmer, with neon lights here and there. The bar is in the middle and they have so many choices on tap! The restaurant was very very busy and it was pretty full! We got in at the bar right before happy hour ended so we got some good deals. The margherita pizza was alright and we got some wine to pair with it. A reduce menu for happy hour that has some above average food items. I tried the BBQ chicken salad which at regular size is 1650 calories (and tasted that way due to heavy dressing and fried onions on top). They have great appetizers from the edamame to tacos; service will depend on your server. We saw our waitress when she brought us water then at the end of our meal when she showed us how to use the table tech to do our own self checkout. We could have ordered from the device as well and negated her services all together. That said, it's a great spot for drinks, games and energetic experiences over a consistent happy hour menu. Amazing food, great prices, and a chill but cool vibe - what more can one want? I came by with my friend after last minute gift shopping, and we were seated immediately in a nice booth. As we were starving, we ordered a bunch of food and a couple of drinks! I got the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich, upgraded my side to Parmesan truffle fries, and we split the Onion Ring Tower. The sandwich was incredible - with juicy, tender chicken, just the right amount of spice, and the lettuce was the perfect combination to cool off the heat. The fries were completely worth the upgrade, with a strong truffle flavor and just the right amount of cheese to make it flavorful but not sticky. The onion rings were fried to perfection - they were crispy on the outside but soft on the inside, and they didn't fall apart at the first bite. They came with a couple of sauces that were both divine. I especially loved how none of the food was overly fried or greasy, making it easy to add on more menu items to our order. The only reason I knocked off a star was because service wasn't great. It took forever to get ahold of our server once we started getting our food, even though it wasn't that busy. We had to ask multiple times before someone came by with to-go boxes! It's not a dealbreaker as the food was amazing, but definitely something to be aware of. This is just a review for the Happy Hour but if the regular menu is anything like the HH then you're in for a delicious meal! Happy Hour runs from Monday to Friday, 3PM-6PM. They have a nice list of items that you can order from which include selected apps and pizza for half price. As well as a discount of $2 off their draft beer, wine, spirits and cocktails. Not a terrible deal I might say. The best part about the HH menu is that all the portions are large and generous! Fantastic for sharing! The chips & dip and nachos ($7-9) are great for 4+ people. The pizzas ($8+) are thin but they aren't stingy with the toppings. Items like the chicken tenders and sliders come with a side for fries ($8) (practically a meal). The service staff are welcoming and are constantly checking if you require more drinks or food. They also have a machine on the table so that you can order items to your table if your wait staff are too busy. If you have an impromptu gather or a celebration, you can give them a call and they'll accommodate your party, anywhere from a party of 2 to 20 people. They have lots of TVs for your sports viewing pleasure. But I noticed as soon as 6PM rolled around the lights got dim and the music got louder. Not great for intimate conversations. Aside from the large selection of beers and spirits they also have beef flights if you're looking to try a variety of offerings. But what I love is that they also have a Build Your Own Fight, for those who are a bit more adventurous. The Yard House seems to have almost everything covered. I always come for the happy hour half off apps and pizzas! Happy hour is from 3-6. The chicken tenders with fries are only about 7 dollars and you get quite a lot! There's also plenty of tv's showing sports everywhere and they have a lot of interesting beers. The pizzas are ok but the tendies are a go to. Truffle fries are definitely worth trying too! If you get the chicken nachos, be warned they give you a massive amount. Like I said, the half off apps goes a long way here and you can definitely split the apps with someone and still be quite satisfied. Come here for the value and delicious food! We got there a little before it ended, around 5:40, and luckily there was no wait for a table. We ordered the poke nachos, queso, sliders and tenders. The food came extremely fast and everything was freshly made. The poke nachos and queso are must gets here. The nachos have tuna, seaweed strips, green onions, avocado, cilantro, spicy mayo and eel sauce. The flavors go perfectly together and it comes on wonton chips that go well with the toppings. The queso is also delicious and comes with tortillas and tortilla chips to dip in it. The tortillas this time were overly toasted and basically disintegrated which was disappointing. The queso has some tomato sauce and chiles in it and is packed with flavor. My husband loves their sliders, which come with 4 sliders and a small basket of fries. The tenders are also great and go well with the honey mustard. They also come with a small basket of fries. The portions are large so be prepared to split dishes or have some leftovers. At 50% off for the appetizers during happy hour, this place can't be beat. We've come several time over the past year and it seems like quality has gone down. This weekend we popped in for real food during PAX and were let down again. My sweet potato fries were served mushy with a side of hair, and salad wasn't washed properly. Everyone else's food seem to also be hit or miss, which is junk. It also seems like the music has gotten far too loud, to the point you can't hear the waitstaff. At least drinks are still good. We'll probably be back but not until next PAX. Most of Pike's place was shut down and the area quickly took a turn for the worse when the sun goes down. Yard house was down the street and is always solid in Vegas, so we ended up eating here. Menu is pretty much the same and service was friendly. We ordered our standard, chicken nachos, huge and delicious. Burger with truff parm fries, so good. Pineapple chicken was super tender.
