My husband and I met a friend at Yard House restaurant. When we entered it was busy and LOUD but they were able to seat us. We asked about being seated outside where it was quieter but never got an answer to our question. We ordered an appetizer of poke nachos. There were huge chunks tuna. It was really good. I got the pork belly burger as an entree with an upgrade to sweet potato fries. This was a great combination and came with a good BBQ sauce. For dessert we had the smores brownie. It was a chocolate brownie, marshmallow gelato, and big graham cracker chucks. This dessert was outstanding. I recommend Yard House.

Came to watch the World Cup Finals..even though it was a packed house they were able to seat us in 20 min. Service and food is always a consistent 10. Everyone was really into the game so it made the match even more exciting. Good to see a large turnout for Futbol! Bathrooms are clean, and not smelly. This has been our go to place to watch games.

First time visitor to Yard House from out of town, and what a great establishment with a solid vibe. The atmosphere is exactly what I was hoping for, and it was perfect with a very eclectic music playing throughout. I was helped by Jenni at the bar and she was fantastic. She introduced herself, and didn't skip a beat. I didn't have to wait long to order a beer (of which they have MANY), a she even gave me her opinion on an appetizer choice. Throughout the entire time there she checked on me regularly but not in a way that was almost too much. For my appetizer I had the Four Cheese Spinach Dip, and that was a solid recommendation I took from my bartender. Very glad that I did, great rich taste and not too heavy which was phenomenal. Lastly, I decided to get a pizza since it was happy hour which take note that most if not all their appetizers and pizzas are on the 3-6 PM happy hour menu, so take advantage. I got 'The Carnivore' , and it had a a nice, savory, meaty taste. The pizza was perfectly baked, the dough was fresh and I have NO complaints. So whether you are a local, or a traveling out of towner like me I HIGHLY recommend Yard House. I know it's a franchise, but it honestly didn't feel like one. It felt real, authentic & fun. Also this is a craft beer lovers paradise. Literally they have wrap around beer taps.

I went here for the first time with my family for my birthday and it was the best choice. Wait time was about 15 minutes for our party. Our server Lindsey was new but they were absolutely amazing! We ordered the Brussel sprouts as an aappetizer and they were very tasty with the Gochujang sauce. It was crispy without being burnt. For my entree I have the Korean cheesesteak. The meat was sauced perfectly and the pairing with the green onions and kimchi brought it together nicely. I upgraded to truffle parmesan fries. We ordered fish and chips, mix n match tacos, chicken and pancakes and everyone seemed to enjoy what they ate. They also do a little something special for your bday. Parking is not big enough so you have to get lucky. If you're big on beer this is the place ro go to try lots of different options. They also have a good happy hour which is why it was packed when we made it a little after.

This place was great a few months ago but, this will be the last time I visit your restaurant. Fries were old and stale, unseasoned, medium well burger was raw... also unseasoned. Dropped $200 for 5 people on a meal I would have enjoyed more at Culver's for $50. You guys went downhill real fast. P.S. I had your server try the fries for fun, he agreed that they were disgusting and offered to remake them. I just asked him to please have whoever made the fries, eat them so they would taste the crap they were serving.

Updated review, came in for the happy hour, which is from 3 pm - 6 pm Monday to Friday and you can make a reservation! It was crazy busy until about 6:30 pm then no lines at the front! We had sliders (there were 4 of them and with fries, very juicy this time), chicken nachos (huge and had lots of flavor and crunch, needed more sour cream and guacamole), calamari (this was not good, lots of small pieces and dry) and of course my favorite, the truffled mushroom pizza (this was really tasty and you can smell and taste the truffle)! The noise level is a different story, it was loud that you can't really have a conversation without screaming at each other!

I went to Yard House in Vernon Hills with two friends on a Saturday right when they opened at 11AM. We were greeted right away and seated at a roomy booth. My first impression of this place is that it's huge with a large bar and a lot of tap beer! Our waitress, Debbie, was extremely friendly and personable, we all really liked her. She showed us the electronic menu on the table, which had photos of all the food items on the menu- super helpful! We order the Spicy Tuna Stack and garlic noodles to start, both were delicious. We also ordered the brussels sprouts, which we didn't like at all. We sent them back because they were oily, over sauced, and didn't taste good. For entrees we order the steak bowl, sliders, and Cobb salad with chicken. All were good! Only complaints are that I requested no bacon in my salad but it had bacon anyway, and we requested sweet potato fries with the sliders but received regular. The waitress took care of the fries right away and they did offer to adjust the salad but I kept it and just scooped the bacon out. Overall, friendly staff, some hit or miss items on the menu, nice atmosphere.

I have heard good things about this restaurant and they just opened up a location in Vernon Hills. Parking is ample and the restaurant is plain, modern and clean. Rocky the bartender was very friendly and she made the best lavender lemon drop martini I have ever had! The 20 oz ribeye with added grilled shrimp on a skewer was tasty with delicious mashed potatoes and grilled baby broccoli is plenty for 2 people. The complementary Oreo Brookie dessert for my special occasion was very good too. I will definitely come back for happy hour and try something different.

We went for a later lunch and we were seated immediately. The restaurant was fairly busy at the time we were there. They played classic rock music in the background and had TVs with subtitles, but we were still able to hold a conversation easily. Our server, Samantha G, greeted us quickly and gave us sufficient time to review the menu and take our orders. She was friendly and attentive to our table. We enjoyed our drinks and the food was very tasty.

When I found out that Yard House was coming to Vernon Hills, I was ecstatic. I used to frequent the Yard House in The Glen back when I worked in the area but had not been there in a few years. The regular prices for entrees are imo a bit steep, but it's more or less commiserate with other similar restaurants in the area. If you happen to make it for Happy Hour though, the prices are relatively a great value. In my most recent visit to the Vernon Hills location, we ended up going in the evening on a Saturday and thus no happy hour. My friend and I tried the seared tuna burger, crispy brussel sprouts, poke nachos, and I had some slider dogs for Oktoberfest. Everything was enjoyable but the stand out for me was the seared tuna burger. It was not something I have had before. Typically anything in fish form and in a burger has always been fried for me. This was my first time trying a fish burger where that wasn't the case...and it was delicious! As you might expect, beers here are solid too.

My friend from out of state wanted to go to Yard House for her birthday, and it ended up being such a blast. We got there toward the end of happy hour, and the place was packed. We filled up on apps and had a few drinks, and even though it was a little loud, that's pretty expected for a booming open-bar restaurant. One thing I really appreciated was how helpful our server was with my gluten-free needs. They walked me through the menu, and I was pleasantly surprised by how many GF meal options they had that weren't just salads. Really the only downside is the parking, which can be a bit of a hunt, but the nearby garage definitely helps. Overall, great vibes, great service, and a solid spot to hang out.

Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich with Gardein patty

I came in here for a Mommy/daughter lunch date with my 3 year old daughter and was very excited to see so many Gardein options available to sub - I just wish there were Gardein nugget options on the kids menu. I had the Nashville hot sandwich, with a Gardein patty. It was a bit oily for me, but the flavor was nice. The fries were perfection, and the children's Mac and cheese portion was HUGE. Solid leftovers for two more meals. Our server was attentive and friendly, and I loved the ease of paying directly from our table without needing to wave down the server. I am looking forward to returning to try the extensive beer list when I get to have an adult outing again.

We drove by Yard House about two times after it opened and each time it looked like the parking lot was full. On this afternoon, the parking lot was about half full so we decided to take our chances. It was a lovely afternoon and we decided to eat inside instead of outside. We were seated promptly and ordered quickly. We split an order of Brussels sprouts and I picked the beer battered fish tacos. The fish were so crispy and light, not at all heavy or greasy and I decided that next time I would get the fish and chips. BTW the fish tacos were great -- and quite a generous portion -- along with beans and a side of rice. There's quite an extensive menu - so there's something for everyone. The staff was also friendly, and for a time, we had not one, but two wait staff ready to serve us.

Our server Chad explained the menu in detail, offered recommendations, and took great pride in the restaurant. Everything is made from scratch, and they have a beautiful open kitchen. We started with the octopus, which our friends and Chad both recommended, and it lived up to the hype. They sous vide it so it's super tender, then crisp it for that little crunch you want in an octopus appetizer. The romesco and chorizo combo had us scraping the plate clean. For dinner, my husband had the hanger steak served with a large bone filled with bone marrow, along with brioche, truffle butter, and the Aligot and Brussels sprouts for sides. The Brussels and butternut squash were sweet, spicy, crispy, and salty - just amazing. I had the monkfish, which is very similar to lobster, and it was delicious! For dessert, we shared the crème brûlée, and like everything else we ate tonight, we left no crumbs. We can't wait to go back!

I highly recommend this spot.

They were great and friendly and I did not mention or complain about the lack of customizations to them nor did I complain about the onions- i did not say a word when trying to figure out kikosk (or tablet whatever you call it) Kikosk ordering at the counter- It would not allow me to add sauce on side. There was no description of what it was so was confusing when ordered at first. The menu/kikosk doesnt say what kind of sauce- drives me crazy when there is no clear definition for people who are picky or cant have certain items in their food. My shake did not come with whipped cream unlike pictures or social media feeds. Fountain drink was flat to my disappointment so got refunded for that only and went with water. Clean taste. Burger has great potential but if they are not allowing us to customize it to our own preference it will fail in this location. Lack of toppings to my dismay- When I got my burger with the sauce cheese and grilled onions, it looked good at first glance. When I bit into the grilled onions it was not tender/soft it was like eating stringy rope with the burger yanking it out with my teeth . Sauce wasnt memoriable for me. Still have no idea what it consisted of even few days later. Again Bun/meat was delish driving me on eating the burger. Fries were ok- nothing to write home about. Not coming back though until they improve on some areas. This is too expensive for the mistakes/lack of customization/options for a picky person like me. If it was signifcantly less in cost I would have let it slide and bring home plain burgers and customize it at home. But this was a HUGE bucket list for me being open minded about what went on my burger (I usually ask for plain with certain toppings only) Best of luck to this establishment!

It is a noisy place full of older customers that know everyone in the place. Lots of customers hugging the staff, talking with the owners, and other tables. A great atmosphere if you are a local. One of the owners even suggested carrot cake for our desert. Really good by the way. We did see a number of regulars tables that were receiving complimentary appetizers. I get it, but you should treat first time customers the same to make them repeat customers? The issue was with service and how we were treated after we had to get service. Our server disappeared once our main course was ordered. Yes the place was packed, but the server made sure she kept on touching base with the regulars tables and we received less attention. Well like no attention. Well like we had to go to the bar to one of the owners to get our check. Well and when my significant other tried to comment that we had a lack in service the owner walked away from us. She turned a really nice first time experience into a never going back and write a bad review experience. (And my significant other was mad the whole evening, which made the event worse for me.) So even though I wanted to at least give them a 2 star review I had to tie it back to the tip we gave of $1. Regretfully we will not be going back to The Green Room.

When you pull up to the plaza you would think anything of the restaurant but when you go inside it's a fun colorful experience. When we were seated we were brought waters and menus. We took some time to look at the menus but ultimately took our server's suggestions on drinks. I ended up having a virgin Rose Colored Glasses drink and absolutely loved it. The drinks were large and I felt they were worth the price. My husband got an old fashioned. To start we got the cheese curds, and when I tell you these cheese curds still live rent free in my mind I kid you not. They were so good, the cheese was battered in a tempura batter with a truffle cream sauce and it made for such an incredible dish! For our entrees we got the pork chop with the brown butter sauces and bavette with a red wine reduction. The pork chop was great with the brown butter you just gotta make sure you mix it up, and the red wine was a bit too salty for me but it was okay because I ended up loving the steak by itself! For our sides we got the grilled zucchini under the snacks option instead of the sides option because I wanted all the fixings. It was a great choice! The fixings really made and I could eat a plate of that and just be happy (with the cheese curds of course). The wiped potatoes were great as well. Now I was going to pass on dessert because I was SO full already, but twist my arm when you tell me the cookie dough ice cream is a must try. It had real cookie dough chunks on top and bottle and the vanilla ice cream was not boring vanilla, I ate almost half of that bowl and couldn't stop. The chocolate chip cookie dough was house made and it was the perfect blend of sweet and salty that tied the whole ice cream bowl together. Can't recommend that enough as well. All in all, we had a great experience! It was so fun to see so many regulars and so many new folks who came in to dine at the same time as us and we all peeked to see who ordered what before we ordered and got some great recs as you can see! Can't wait to come back to enjoy my favorites and more!

Started with the bread and crabcakes and the bread was amazing and definitely fresh but the crabcakes needed more crab and flavor. Basically everything needed more flavor. We also ordered a bottle of wine which our server struggled with and never came over to refill the glasses. Then the entree's; my husband's bolognese was bland and desperately needed at least salt and pepper. Then the real problem was my steak which was supposed to be medium came out well done and then classically when it was recooked came out rare or medium rare if you are being generous. Then the waitress said she would check back and she didn't so I had to get salt myself from the server station which is kinda ridiculous especially when paying $54 for a steak that already has no seasoning which is why they offer free sauces which makes a lot of sense now. When she finally did come back I said it was under but not waiting for it to be overcooked again so reheating it at home with the cold side of mushrooms I ordered WITH my steak. I did talk to the manager after and he was not really helpful or sympathetic and I was really talking to him so in my review I could say well at least management cares but that is not the case here. I gave 2 stars because their drinks are good and the ambiance is nice and the hostess was super friendly and was the star employee after our visit. Also we paid for everything even the cold mushrooms and over/under cooked steak! At minimum also remake my mushrooms or comp them. Would I eat here again hopefully not but it is locationally desirable for me and my in-laws and have lots of GF options so might have to and if I do hopefully they will have made things better.
