The waitress is always so friendly, attentive, and quick, and the chefs are just as incredible. Honestly, I'm craving it just writing this. We've tried most of the menu at this point, and every single item has been a hit. Our go to favorites are the 805 roll, the Sushi Ishi roll, and the cilantro onion roll (I always forget the exact name). We switch it up often, but those along with the crunchy roll are always in rotation. We were a little misled by the special that we got, which said you would get a variety of sushi along with a roll. The soy sauce, although labeled as low sodium, did not taste like Kiko man and definitely did not taste low sodium. The ginger tasted and smelled like a sponge and the wasabi was clearly old and not as good as normal. Would we ever go back to this place? Considering how many times we go to Sushi and that we are self-professed Sushi snobs, probably not. Little surprised by all the four-star rankings given to this place, considering our experience, but maybe others had a different one.

It did take a bit for the server to come back to take our order, but we did realize we came in 1/2 hour before closing, so we eased off a bit. My partner order the hot pot and was very happy with his choice. The server came back with a hot plate and instructed us how to cook the meat. I was a bit apprehensive about having to cook my own food, but the fragrant smell as it cooked changed my mind. The broth was flavorful and the veg and meat were tender as they soaked up the soupy goodness. I also ordered the boa buns and the pillowy texture, mixed with the soft pork and crunchy cucumber and carrots made my belly sing. We slurped up our food and cleared out as quickly as we could. I hate being that person that lingers at closing time. What I do regret is that I did not take more time at their counter as we exited because it was full of snacks and curios that I love. Next time for sure!
