Bad food. Bad service. Expensive. Atlanta has fabulous Italian restaurants such as Pricci, La Grotta, Amore e Amore etc. Yeppa is a disgrace to Italian food. The food was either bland or over salted. The flavors you expect were not even there let alone the depth and richness you expect in comforting Italian food. Service is also slow and terrible. Our waitress was MIA half the time and when someone came over to clean off our table they set down a bunch of dirty dishes from another table on our tiny two person table and began to stack them with our dirty dishes while we were still finishing up eating. They also do not do anything for special occasions like birthday, anniversary, etc. if you're paying $25-30 per entree and there for a celebration there is no reason they should not offer a celebratory desert or glass of champagne. So many fabulous places in Atlanta that are comparable in price offer this luxury. Nothing makes me angrier then spending a ton of money for subpar food and terrible service. I truly hope Yeppa closes soon so another restaurant has the chance to be successful in that awesome space. read more

Just went back for the fourth time and everything was wonderful. The team there was able to change my indoor reservation to an outdoor one because of a cancellation and our server was pretty great. It's always a busy place but outside you don't really get interrupted or bothered by it. The food is always great (I had the Branzino and it was perfect! Very nice and filling without being heavy). The cocktails were great and our server did a fantastic job recommending them. The space has a fun modern vibe and I always bump into someone I know there. It is a bit busy so make sure if you want more deep talking you go outside. And a reservation is never a bad idea. read more

In the past, I have thoroughly enjoyed Yeppa and eat their frequently. Today the pasta was missing important ingredients like tomatoes--- and was just ehh! Today, the manager on duty and his croonies were so rude as I forgot my card to pay for my meal. Instead I gave them cash as was chastised for it. Informing of your policy is one thing, chastising my for it and telling me your not going to give me back my hard earned cash as change is unacceptable. Never again will I go to Yeppa. read more

Although we set a 6:30 PM reservation for dinner, and were sat at 7:15, the Restaraunt gave us a free appetizer in which the meat and cheese board was to die for. The accompanied bread had the perfect salt and olive oil mix and the schiacciata had the perfect spice in the meat wanting more from all. During the wait, we were sat at the bar in which the bartenders seemed like they were pouring the perfect drink for 20+ years. The bartender shook the espresso martini mix in the shaker at-least 100+ time to attain the perfect texture/foam. The boss/head bartender with the Negroni hat did seem to berate his bartenders without cause. I ordered the tagliatelle bolognese which was fantastic and my girlfriend ordered the calcio e Pepe which she really enjoyed. Overall experience was 8/10. Would absolutely come back. read more

I was super excited to try this place because I'm a sucker for Italian and had high hopes learning the owners were true Italians. I decided to sit on the patio with a girlfriend of mine. The ambiance is very nice and the waiter we had was very attentive so that's where I gave 2 stars. We decided to share everything and started with the calamari. The texture was pleasant however, it was very bland... no seasoning in sight which made me sad. We moved on to the mussels and octopus. The mussels too were lacking in flavor overall, it was disappointing. The octopus saved the experience and awarded this review another star. The octopus had a nice texture and had a nice sear, it was served with cooked tomatoes which were yummy and added another layer to the dish. I feel like I need to go back and maybe try some other items to see if it was just an off day for the kitchen or not. I'm not in a rush to go and find out though. read more

Took hubby out for his birthday here. It's more of a bar like atmosphere, loud music and hard to hear one another. Our waiter was hardly around. For such a small space, he barley attended us and didn't seam like he wanted to either. I wish the service was better honesty. We ordered their polenta fries and I think that was probably the best off the menu. Cheese was delicious! We also grabbed their linguine alle vongole and their roasted prosciutto flatbread to share. The pasta was good, but could have carried out with a bit more flavor in their sauce. The flatbread was served to us cold. That was the most disappointing part. Besides stating that it was served with the prosciutto roasted, everything was cold and just piled on top of each other making the flatbread just heavy and all the toppings skidding off. We were seated outside when there was plenty of room inside, so after about an hour in the heat, we asked to be moved to an indoor table. They were more than happy to accommodate! The pasta plates are relatively small, but very good! The salad options are SO good and I loved the pomodoro al pomodoro salad (no actual greens, but cucumber/tomato/herbs mix instead). Two stars...one for our server, Austin, who is a total rock star, and a second because the food was pretty good; however, I am not a fan of: 1) a restaurant w/a bar that has TVs but apparently has a policy to not play a NBA game (and it's the PLAYOFFS) because they don't want to be "THAT KIND OF BAR," and 2) will allow, arbitrarily, some in a large party to separate and pay their bill, yet discriminate against others. Yes, splitting a bill can be tedious but just say that on the front end...and I'll walk to the bar to order 11 shots and pay for them separately. It was a gesture in celebration for one of the guest's birthday and was totally ruined in the end by such an unnecessary and discriminatory practice. You're in Atlanta...get it together! The food is great and the people working there are super nice. BUT one of the major drawbacks is that it's TOO LOUD! WAY WAY WAY TOO LOUD! This isn't a club, we're trying to have a conversation. And there's this word screen that had this museum AD on it. What is that about? So out of place. Having said that, I have to say the pizza is the best I've ever had in Atlanta, and the gamberi and nutella dessert are fantastic. Still, one of the things that would make think twice about going with friends there is being uncomfortable trying to have a conversation. I've been here multiple times and have had the most lovely service. I was hesitant given past reviews, but it's definitely getting over those reviews to see for yourself. We went early on a Saturday evening and the place was packed. We sat at the bar and it was several minutes before we were even recognized. I say that because they only had two true bartenders and about 6 bar backs. So they couldn't help us and never spoke a word even though they stared us in our eyes. It wasn't just us...we saw this play out as others sat as well. We order 2 salads that were skimpy however they did taste good, but nothing spectacular. We heard about the Focaccia Pizza and ordered the one with delicious sopressta. We also ordered the TAGLIATELLE BOLOGNESE. Both were just meh. I'm hoping it was an off night. The pizza was just ok and the pasta portion was small ( that was fine) but the bolognese was just not enough to really make this a true bolognese. We had cocktails and 2 glasses of wine each. Decided to skip our normal dessert and coffee. It's never about the price for us, it's about the food, the experience and the pleasure of a stressless evening. She makes the most incredible 'Old Fashions' with a nice orange garnish and they are very strong beverages. I recommend Nuri and Scott for service and mixology skill set. The servers are very kind though they're still new so it feels like they could be more attentive. So I'm a big fan of the Storico "franchise". Came here and was SO EXCITED. The food was great. Had a margarita pizza and the cacio de pepe, and a cheese/meat board in a separate visit. The space is awesome-it's crazy how much the interior changed from the previous restaurant, looks fantastic. The service..the server was new and told us he was from a dive bar, but knowing how much the storico staff know, compared to him just knowing how to explain "antipasti" and the layout of the menu was underwhelming. It took an hour for food to come out. Long time for drinks. Long time to reorder drinks. But took no time for us to close out when we were ready to leave. They still have some work to do on the service and timeliness. The table behind us was there 30 min before and had only received drinks-we got our food before them..and we waited an hour. It looked quite busy, so e we thought we would see what it might be about. Grabbed seats at the bar. Took about 10 minutes to make eye contact with the bartenders ... definitely not a welcome. From that point it took another 10 to 15 minutes to get a menu and be able to place a drink order. Nothing special. If service was responsive and timely, we could consider returning. I don't think it's just about being busy. At a minimum, welcoming someone and bringing some water and menus right away. Would suffice as a courtesy. Drinks and food were just OK. There's nothing that appealing about the busy and loud atmosphere to warrant a return visit when there are so many other places nearby to try.
