Price is a little more than expected (counted find $/oz) from a froyo store. Smoothie: 4.5 You basically fill up a clear cup with froyo and your desured toppings and they blend it up for you. Bad froyo = bad smoothie. However, the owner was present and gave is a little bit of his tropical tasting smoothie recipe that was A1! First time here and we were very happy to have found this place. I have been searching for Horchata frozen yogurt for a while and was very excited to see they serve it here. I tried this along with their Blueberry and Hazelnut. All three were utterly amazing. I cannot describe it other than clean and pure. I have been to a few frozen yogurt places before like this, but by far this is my absolute favorite. The taste of this yogurt is just so good - high quality. You can taste that they clean their machines regularly. The blueberry was the most spot on flavor I have had among all the past frozen yogurt establishments I have tried in the past. The toppings they offer are pretty much what other comparable places do - candies, fruits, nuts, and more. It was all very clean. Mom, dad, it's all your fault. When I was a kid, the rule after Halloween was one piece per day. That was it, one solitary piece of candy. Hence, come Easter, I still had all of the crappy candy (Almond Joy, 100 Grand, toffee, candy corn, Junior Mints) sitting in the bucket. And I've enjoyed a somewhat healthy relationship with sugar most of my life. Just one cavity, when I was 12. But I've always known, deep down, that sour candy could be the death of me, and recently I let my obsession get the better of me. I actually bought some. At Target. To be enjoyed within my home. This was heretofore unheard of. But I figured hey, I'm a grown up. I can handle this. It's not, like, heroin, or something. When that stash was gone I got more. And then more and more. Sour candy is so gooooood. Full-on addicted in less than a week, and about ten pounds heavier. Thankfully, I put the kabbash on that awful habit, at least temporarily, with one exception: I'm all about sour fro-yo. Me and sour fro-yo sittin' in a tree, k-i-s-s-i-n-g. We have been to another similar self-serve yogurt place near our house. I like that Yo So uses paper serving cups instead of styrofoam. I always feel enviro-guilt when I am forced to use it! Their flavors are the typical you'd find in a yogurt place. I thought several of them had way too much artificial dye in them though. Their hues were screaming at me! I sampled several in my cup but mostly enjoyed the Mango flavor. Enjoyed the topping selection! They had more fruit and nuts and less candy compared to the other store we've been to which *I* liked but one of my kids complained there were no jelly beans. ;) My problem I had was with the owner's attitude. One of my kids is allergic to strawberries. When I politely asked if one of their fruit-flavored sauces had strawberries in it, they couldn't answer yes or no. Instead they gave me attitude and said "Does she HAVE to put it on her yogurt?" They were in the middle of a conversation with friends and couldn't be interrupted to go back and get the ingredients list to check for us. They argued some more ... "It says raspberry so it doesn't have stawberries." Well, we've learned this isn't always true so we ask. Eventually they did go look but by this time I was annoyed and a little miffed. read more

While here visiting friends for the weekend, we were taken to this great new self serve yogurt shop in Austin called Yo So Cool. Was a fantastic experiance from the moment we walked in! The enviroment was fun and relaxing, the choices for toppings was unbelievable and the yogurt itself was the best I have ever had! I had the Red Velvet Cake yogurt, which I have never seen anywhere before and it was off the dial. The texture of their yogurt is smooth and creamy, not gritty and chalky as others I have had. I asked the owner, Rachel and Henry, about it and they said they only use high quality yogurt that are not made from powder... who knew yogurt was made from a powder??? Rachel and Henry were awesome hosts, as they explained the procedure and all the many choices of toppings. There must have been over 40 toppings to choose from including a Lychee.... WOW was the amazing on yogurt! We had such a good time and enjoyed the yogurt so much, we went back the next day for more... Congrats to the owners on a awesome new favorite in Ausin! read more

You grab a cup, pick the flavor or multiple flavors, then add your own toppings, you weigh it on the scale and pay per ounce. Its not quite 50-cents per ounce, so be choosy with the topping because it really adds to the weight. Some flavors stay the same, while others change every few weeks, so you can call ahead to find out the current flavors! There are a variety of toppings too including whip cream, fruits, candies (like M&M's, crushed peanut butter cups, crushed butterfingers, snowcaps, nuts, etc.). They have tables inside and outside so there's always plenty of space available. My favorite flavor is Dulce de leche !!! I haven't been able to find it in any other fro-yo place and it's delish, It goes well with walnuts, chocolate covered almonds and caramel. I also like their original tart, red velvet and strawberry. One of the things I like is that the fro-yo is not watery like in other places and the flavors don't taste artificial. They have plenty of seating inside and this place is super clean. This is the type of top it yourself place that charges you by the weight. You can sample different flavors with tiny ramekin paper cups so you don't have to start all over when you don't like it. First you pick your bowl and second you pick your frozen yogurt flavor and they have about a dozen. Then at the topping bar you can choose from a large assortment of toppings including sweets, fruits, cookies, chocolates, etc. Then you go to the register and they weight it for you to pay. I opted for the cheese cake flavored frozen yogurt with pineapple, kiwi and coconut. All the toppings were super fresh and the frozen yogurt was the bomb. It definitely hit my sweet spot itch that I needed scratched. This place is a bit more expensive than a regular ice cream stand but, when you want fresh and tasty you have to pay for it. read more

But thank goodness to Yo So Cool's luscious swirls of red velvet yogurt, garnished with chocolate chip cookie dough, seductive drizzles of Hershey's chocolate syrup, and firm slices of strawberries, my latent desires were unearthed. They have a great selection of flavors. Such choices include the traditional chocolate and vanilla to the familiar, yet marginally exotic coconut and mango to the rich cake batter and red velvet cake flavors. What's great is that they offer free samples if you're unsure of what to select. I loved their toppings bar which showcased a wide variety of goodies.
