we came here last night to celebrate a birthday for a friend. arrived at the end of happy hour (3pm-6pm daily) and the bartender (really nice guy) quickly came over so we can put our order in before the end of the end. we ended up ordering: 6 sake bombs $4.50 each 2 poke taco $11 salt & pepper calamari $12 classified crunchy crab $10 (it's a half order btw) shrimp tempura roll $11 rainbow roll $13 vegetable tempura we honestly thought we'd order more rolls but we were all completely full once we got through it all. i probably would not order the classified crunchy crab and the vegetable tempura again. the ccc was too much crab and i got tired of it. the vegetable tempura had too much batter and it just didn't leave a great taste in my mouth. i did enjoy the two types of sauce that were included. i would for sure come back for some happy hour items but to also try more of their signature rolls as well. i did really enjoy their sake bombs as well. and once all is done, you can walk down the strip to let the fullness subside. sushi confidential, you got yourself three new fans! read more

One of my favorite sushi spots to go to! This was my 3rd time at this location. We got the pork báo buns & edamame for appetizers. It was a good balance! For sushi rolls ~ Lion king roll 10/10, super flavorful RSM - Randy's original signature roll 10/10. I love this roll because it has so many toppings. Ambiance ranged from medium to loud. We chose a seat that was farther from the louder groups by the kitchen side. Staff were friendly though it was hard to get our server's attention when they were servicing the outdoor area. The sashimi and ginger were fresh. Finally after decade of walking past sushi, confidential wifey and I decided to stop in. This restaurant is very deceptive, there is a small area outside for seating which makes the restaurant look small but once you walk through the door it feels like you've walked into the Taj Mahal! The dining area inside is huge and splits into two areas. They have a full bar with bar seating on the left side. Our waiter name was Dakota, I thought he did a great job: he asked if we have been there before, asked us if we had questions, explained some of the menu items, made recommendations, kept our water glasses full, and gave us time to think about our order. Honestly I can't ask for more that that. 5 stars. I ordered the "Savage Sarah" and the "Ttropic like it hot" specialty rules Wifey ordered the 2 selection bento box and a side order of sticky pork bao buns. "I guess we were hungry, lol" My 2 specialty roll flavors were similar yet so different, one was sweet and the flavors were light and well crafted while the other was spicy with bold heavy flavors "both were excellent and honestly I couldn't tell you which one I enjoyed more" 4 Stars. We used to love coming here for happy hour and always felt like it was good food and a good deal. Now it's sort of changed and it doesn't feel as fresh or quality as it once was and it definitely feels more expensive. We came on Friday night and it wasn't crazy busy but the service wasn't the best. We were seated quickly thanks to reservations I made but didn't seem necessary. However we waited 10-15 mins before someone even came to our table. We noticed a table that was seated well after us ordered right away and got their food before we had even placed ours. If you want authentic or decent sushi, you won't find it here. We stopped by this place because of the high reviews and gluten free options but it was a complete disappointment. The prices were criminal for rolls that were average at best. The spicy scallop roll was borderline inedible; scallops were mushy and sadly plopped on top of each piece (literally looked like a dead jellyfish). Couldn't even pick up the sushi without it falling apart. The only remotely edible part was the spicy mayo. We will not be returning. But understanding there is an overhead for operating a restaurant, the prices are comprehensive to locations. I'd heard a lot of good things about this place, so we went in with some expectations. It was a Sunday night, and the restaurant was nearly empty--no wait for a table, which was nice. We started with sweet potato fries, which came out quickly. Then we ordered three rolls of vegan sushi and some baos. As vegetarians, we appreciated that they had decent plant-based options with tofu. But despite the restaurant not being busy, the service was really slow. The baos took forever to arrive, and even the sushi took longer than expected. We had our 8-year-old kids with us, and they were getting restless waiting for food. Since the portions weren't very filling, we ordered sizzling vegetables with tofu, and--surprise--it also took ages to come out. While the food itself was great, the wait times were frustrating. To top it off, they automatically added a 20% gratuity for our party of six (four adults, two kids). The prices were already insanely high--both appetizers and entrees felt way overpriced. We ended up with a $200 bill, which just didn't feel justified given the service. Their sushi is good, no doubt, but they really need to step up their service if they're going to charge those prices and demand a 20% tip. I can spend half as much as I spent tonight ordering at home from a competitor restaurant, any number of them. People go out for the environment and for the experience. When you turn people off, believe me, they remember it. There are more welcoming places to inspire me to go find parking, walk to the restaurant, be seated, and try to enjoy myself . If you don't value having customers like me in your restaurant, the one time I've been there in maybe two years, that's fine with me. We were in the neighborhood for a haircut so decided to take my nephew on a sushi dates his favorite food. Sheamir was our server who was extremely nice and attentive, the sushi ain't cheap, but also makes sense considering the location being downtown Campbell. We came in at 4pm on a Friday so there were some happy hour options which was nice. It took a while for the sushi to come out so I get why people complained in the review section that it's very slow when packed so I'd definitely recommend making the time or coming in earlier. My nephew rated them 8.7/10 We had the Savage Sarah (rated 9.5 by my culinary expert), Geisha Girl (was my personal favorite, his rate was 9) and we took the dragon roll - a classic so he can compare it to other places (9.5 again). We also took takeaway for his brother of classic California and an avocado roll which were also a success. Highly recommend it for a chill afternoon read more

I've never had macadamia nuts on sushi before but I liked the texture that it brought to the roll. The tuna and yellowtail were fresh. The food came out quickly after we ordered. We spent a while eating but were never rushed by the servers. Pricing was fair and similar to other good sushi restaurants in the area. I have been going to Sushi Confidential for years and years now (both locations) and recently I have not been going because to be honest, I found a better place. A couple days ago I took my kids to grab a couple rolls from the Campbell location and we brought it home. I was completely blown away at how small and dinky the pieces are.
