I simply can't rave about this place enough!!! After seeing their Egg Coffee on my Instagram months ago, I finally made the trek out to Rosemead for it. Upon entering the cafe, I noticed how spacious and chill it felt. I love that their are glass windows everywhere, and that the inside radiated with lots of natural sunlight. The staff was incredibly nice. Of course, I ordered the Egg Coffee. My partner ordered the Ube Coffee. Both were cold lattes with the cream foam on top and BOY WERE THEY SO GOOD!!!! It did not disappoint at all. I honestly didn't know what to expect since I've never had egg coffee before. It had a light eggy taste, not too sweet like the ube, and was very creamy. If you like drinks that aren't too overly sugary, this is for you. I also liked that it came with some biscotti cookies! Sooo many other fun options, like the pandan latte. I musttttt come back for it. I really wish there was a location in Burbank or somewhere closer to where I live. Husband came home with an Ube iced coffee for me and a sea salt coffee for himself. I love me an Ube iced coffee but unfortunately this place didn't meet my expectations. I can already tell by the coffee color that it was way too dark. The Ube cream tasted great, but the Vietnamese coffee was bitter and not creamy enough, as can tell by the coloring in my photo. I went on to try his sea salt coffee and it was better than mine. The taste was more consistent with other sea salt coffees I had, but still the coffee color was too dark. YoTea is a newer bubble tea location, that just opened up near my place. The variety of flavors is amazing and everything i've tried has been great. I usually come for their new seasonal drinks like the Matcha Coconut or the Kiwi Yakult. I do also love the option to customize my drink with different toppings and sweetness levels. Inside is very open with a decent amount of seating, making it a great place to hang out with friends or have a study session alone. The staff is friendly?, I didn't have much chances to interact with them since there's an ordering tablet in front. Overall, YoTea is a good spot to visit for bubble tea lovers. Yotea is in-between a good vs average boba store (not a bad thing!) I got the oolong milk tea and it's strong, floral, and fragrant but they use similar creamer like that of sharetea. I also really enjoyed the jasmine jelly as a topping. My mom got the matcha milk and that's where they fall short. If you're looking for a true matcha fix, try somewhere else. I've been here twice over the past month and I have to say that this tea spot is definitely becoming one of my favorites. It's a little out of the way for me otherwise I'd be coming more often! I really appreciate that they have mini boba on their menu since a lot of spots no longer serve mini boba. The mini boba here is good too! It doesn't get clumped together. The Ceylon MT is really good and comparable to Sunright. The coffee drinks on their menu look really good so I'll have to try it next time. Space is clean and drinks are made quickly. There's a lot of space inside to hangout with friends or even get some work done. It's not too loud if you need a place to work/study but can get busy if customers are there playing games. I think this is a Vietnamese Café. I'm not 100% sure but I am assuming that only because they have a coffee and Vietnamese coffee on the menu. Yotea is a 10/5. I've tried most of their drinks, but my default is the Roasted Oolong Milk Tea with mini boba. The Bananna Matcha Pudding is also really good, but it's more of a dessert than a drink, in my opinion. The classic Vietnamese Egg coffee can't be beat. The only thing that compares is Da Vien in Garden Grove/Westminster, but with Da Vien taking forever and not taking the opening of a Rosemead location seriously, I will always go to Yotea. I also love that the owner of Yotea makes it extremely affordable for the community. With inflation and the high cost of everything, a lot of business tend to mark up their drinks at $8.50+, but Yotea keeps it affordable which is why I will always come back. I wanted to be obsess with this place based on the amount of positive reviews about it being a study spot, but unfortunately it didn't meet my expectations. The cafe has a modern take with prevalent black and white furnishing, and it has a open space set-up. Even so, the set-up doesn't feel cohesive because their is a clash of various of similar yet not similar furniture and the empty gaps of spaces within the cafe doesn't allow the space to ty together. I do love that the natural lighting here is strong during the day, and they have subtle lights for the evenings. They offer WIFI and a couple of outlets throughout their store which can be located on the walls. The store isn't that busy, but if you are here to study-- the tables closest to the outlets are the ones usually easily taken. They have 2 large tables, and 3-4 mini circular tables as well. They also have camping folding chairs close to outlet ports, but those chairs don't usually offer as much comfort for studying but great for leisure or reading. Parking here is easy peasy since they have a free parking lot and street parking. As for the drink selection, they do have a variety of drinks to work with. I think I was unfortunate in choosing their newest menu item-- the matcha peach latte because I did not enjoy that drink. I hadn't made any adjustments to it, but it lacked in sweetness and in matcha. I felt like I was drinking milk with peach because the ingredients didn't seem to blend together even after I stirred the drink. If I come back, I'll have to try their egg coffee since it seems that is more their specialty. read more

Wanted to find a place that had free WiFi and lots of tables. Saw this place on yelp with very good reviews so decided to try it out. Came on a Wednesday morning around 11 am and it was quite empty. I decided to try out the ube coffee and it was made so quickly! I picked one of the rectangular tables since I wanted space to set up my laptop and so did my friend. Noticed how near each table there was only 1 plug. There was only round table that had access to 2 plugs which was the one closest to the restroom. The coffee was very good and strong and paired nicely with the ube cream. The place is spacious and had tables on both sides of the place. It did get busy towards noon - 1 pm so better to come early and you have a better pick of the table. There is a nice parking structure in the back if planning to stay longer than 2 hours .. or else street parking in front is only 2 hours I believe. Nice environment where the music isn't too loud. They do have pastries too but I didn't see it when I first got there and didn't pay attention later on. I did see other people bring outside food to enjoy with their drink. #103 in my Teaholic Diaries. Yotea has been popping up on my feed since they first opened in April, less than two months ago. The first thing that caught my attention was their store hours. Most boba shops don't open until noon, which makes it hard when I'm craving milk tea earlier in the morning. With their 10 AM opening time, Yotea has come to my rescue! THE SHOP: Yotea has a black and white interior design with plush black velvet chairs and black hexagon tables, a built-in black bench along one wall, black campfire picnic table and chairs, and a high top table and black bar stools in the corner. Sounds like alot of space right? Surprisingly they can actually fit even more seating should the need arise - that's how huge the shop is. Anyways, upon first glance it seems like a good space to bunker down and work (as opposed to my usual go-to coffee shops). THE DRINKS: 1. The Pandan milk was delicious. It actually tastes just like the pandan drink from Tisane in Westminster (Orange County). I ordered it at 75% sweetness, but even that was pretty sweet, so unless you have a huge sweet tooth like me, you may consider ordering it at 50%. 2. Four Seasons tea with cheese- Not bad. I loved the sea salt cheese foam it came with. 3. Wintermelon tea - Ordered at 50% sweet and it was delicious! It was still pretty sweet though (my preference), so buyers beware. 4. Matcha milk tea - Hard pass. It tasted too chalky, like a powder mix rather than a properly brewed matcha drink. 5. Thai green milk tea - Pass. This was nothing like the authentic Thai green teas I'm used to. Rather, it tasted like a regular green milk tea with a tad condensed milk added in. PRICES: Best part of Yotea is hands down the prices. The drinks mostly range from $5 to $5.50 each, so two came out to just $10.50. Compared to other shops, the prices here are definitely on the lower end, especially for the quality and quantity you get here. Absolutely love it here. I don't know how, but this place just became one of my favorite coffee places with their coconut ice cream coffee and their Ube coffee. I've always been a big fan of Da Vien in the OC, however, this can probably be a big contender! The drinks are super strong and creamy, definitely will keep you up. The Ube I had a subtitle Ube flavor to it and the coconut ice cream coffee has this cute block of ice cream as well as coconut shavings in it, which is a fun little twist.
