    Rainbow roll

Don't let the location fool you. This is a GEM- a great find. We almost doubted the reviews and pictures but so glad we stopped here for dinner. Typically we have a few spots in riverside or corona we go to.... We ventured out a little and were not disappointed. This is some of the best sushi we had in awhile. The quality was melt in your mouth good- super fresh. This is what we ordered. Coronado roll Rainbow roll Salmon, tuna, toro two piece sushi- we could eat a bucket of toro if it was offered. No soy sauce needed. Softshell crab and spicy salmon hand roll. If you get a chance to try their soft shell crab, do it. The hand rolls were on the smaller side but what's on the inside was quality fish. Don't miss out on this hole on the wall sushi spot. We went on a Friday night and did not have to wait long for a seat. Great lighting, with friendly and helpful waiters. We will be back. The pictures don't capture the taste

Service was quick and friendly. We were there on a weekend for dinner and were seated right away. Ordered the tempura udon and it was delicious. Lots of food too! We also liked the rolls that we ordered

Tasty Tempura treat - not the traditional tempura but nevertheless crunchy and perfectly cooked. Sashimi combo nice presentation!

If you're in the are, this is decent sushi. Their nigiri was by far the best out of everything we ordered. Their spicy tuna texture wasn't my favorite and it was in our rolls, so I wouldn't get those again. The lava stones were alright, but getting crispy rice is hard to execute properly. We did have a longer wait from when we ordered, which was odd. My friend got their roll and we waited another 10 minutes for mine to come out. Inside is pretty; it does give a fun sushi experience.

Been here for my husband's birthday a couple times and couple times with friends. It's good and fun and we always have a good time. I believe it's the hot lava stones that are really a treat! Service is good also.

Fresh fish? Check! Clean surroundings? yep. Friendly staff? You better believe it! Better sushi than many places near the sea. I now have a favorite in Temecula. But, I ate too much. Don't miss this gem.

Honestly had low expectations considering Temecula isn't the Mecca of sushi. I was pleasantly surprised!! The quality of the fish is pretty amazing. It's comparable to sushi restaurants in San Diego and LA. You can't go wrong with anything as we tried sushi, sashimi, rolls and appetizers. The fish was fresh with no fishy aftertaste. What made it even better was the customer service provided by Mateo! He was enthusiastic and friendly. He made sure we were taken care of! I will definitely be back!!!

A very nice lunch/happy hour that's a good deal in Temecula! Service was friendly and quick too. We got a Philadelphia Roll and Cherry Valley roll. The Cherry Valley wasn't on the lunch/HH menu but was pretty fresh and was super tasty! The Tempura was plentiful also and came with a lot that was perfect to share. Pretty cool vibe inside too with lots of parking since it's in a plaza.

Service is meh, food is great I've been here 3 times now and I think the food is some of the best sushi in the area. I've had 2 of their cooked rolls and I was impressed from the first visit. The only thing stopping my review from being a 5 is the luke warm service. The last 2 times we felt rushed to order and leave. The last time we sat down, weren't offered any water or greeted by our server just left at the table for about 5 minutes and then they came over and asked if we were ready to order. I literally had to ask for water and for time to look at the menu. The most recent visit was the same. We got in at a little after 8 and they close at 9 so we figured we had more than enough time but the waitress was giving off the "hurry up and order" vibe. We asked for a moment then she came back to tell us last call was coming up. So we ordered and like I said the food was great. A couple walked in at 833( they close at 9) and were turned away and they offered them no apology which I thought they should've. If they coach their waiters a bit better I could definitely give them a 5 but overall the service falls a bit short.

This is coming from someone that has 6years of experience as a waitress, part of that working in a sushi restaurant. The staff was very unkind to my mother for having a gluten allergy. They stated that she cannot have the rice because of having gluten in it?? My mom react to the soy sauce, we have not had a problem with the sushi rice from this location. The tone that the first male server gave was giving "this is an inconvenience" so by stating the rice claim, almost to get us to leave all together. Then he says he will have all the rolls not have any sauce on top which was nice of him to offer. Then we had female waitress, Kelly, who we tried to ask a a question as she was passing. I watched her sit a table, clean a table, place a check before coming back to answer our question. (All I understand) until she walks by our table and pretends not to look at us. So I have to stop her again because one of the roles had a sauce on top. So I asked her if the sauce had gluten in it. Again. (2nd time I asked this question from her passing by twice) she acted as if this was a new question, and was trying to walk away. She assured the sauce does have gluten. So I told her that we already explained to the male sever that we cannot have gluten in the sauces. We kept that roll for the gluten people and order another roll for my mom to eat. She then asks us for another round of tea and brings us a teapot of just hot water.... Overall, I cannot stand when servers make you feel like an inconvenience. The Hana sushi staff by chaparral on Winchester is MUCH FRIENDLIER we are regulars to both locations. After this encounter, we all agreed we will make it a point to only go to the Winchester location as they are very kind and attentive to my mother's allergies.

A short 15-minute drive brought us to The Dumpling House, where diners were already waiting both inside and outside. We added our name to the list at the bar (about 7-9 parties ahead of us) and were seated surprisingly quickly. Once at the table, we ordered generously--soup dumplings, BBQ pork buns, shumai, beef and broccoli, and still more dumplings. Everything was outstanding. The dumplings and other dim sum items are made fresh in-house, which really shows in both the texture and flavor. They were so good we left almost nothing behind. When we arrived, we waited about 10 minutes to be seated. After being seated, it took another 10 minutes just to receive water. No one ever came to take our order, so my husband finally had to walk up to the cashier to ask if someone could help us. Looking back, we probably should have left at that point, but our kids were already starving. Once our food arrived, we still had to flag down a server just to get our drinks and utensils. The drinks eventually came, but the utensils never did we ended up getting them ourselves. We never had an assigned waiter just multiple people bringing our dishes. The service was so poor that I honestly can't even remember how the food tasted because the entire experience was overshadowed by the lack of attention and organization. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst dining experiences I've had, and I won't be returning.

Even without teriyaki sauce the salmon was seasoned and cooked well. The garlic chicken was another story. The chicken texture was off putting as well as the flavor. It had no hint of garlic and was odd slices of chicken with undercooked sliced onions. The miso soup was flavorful but had nothing else in it except two tiny squares of tofu. When we were seated, we asked for a high chair three separate times before one was finally brought to our table. The high chair turned out to be too small for our son, so we asked if we could use a booster seat on the end chair instead. The server seemed hesitant, mentioning she wasn't sure she'd be able to get by the chair. We said that was fine and instead placed the booster seat between my wife and me. After struggling to get our son comfortable, we eventually realized the booster seat has two different height settings depending on which side is facing down. It would have been helpful if that had been pointed out when it was brought to the table. Throughout the meal, our server seemed distracted and wasn't around very often. Our food was brought out by other staff members, which isn't necessarily a problem by itself, but combined with the lack of check-ins it made the service feel disconnected. The biggest disappointment came when I took my son outside while we waited. The benches, chairs, and handrails in the waiting area were covered in bird droppings. There were spider webs in multiple places, and the entrance to the restaurant itself looked dirty. I understand the restaurant is going for an old harbor or fishing-boat atmosphere, but there's a big difference between rustic and neglected. Instead of feeling charming or nautical, it felt like years of dirt and grime had simply been left in place. I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews, but basic cleanliness and attentive service are things I expect from any restaurant, especially when dining with a young child. I hope management takes this as constructive feedback because the restaurant has potential, but our experience left us with little desire to return.
