A solid Hunan restaurant that's been around for years. The environment is modest, but the food delivers. The purple perilla braised fish was flavorful and comforting, and the double pepper frog had just the right level of heat. The soy sauce stir-fried noodles were surprisingly good and showed real wok skills. Prices are very reasonable, with multiple $9.99 specials, which is rare in LA these days. Overall, a great choice for authentic Hunan cuisine and strong value.

One of the best hunan cuisine in Rosemead! Their spice is very authentic and their spicy frog dish and ground purple pepper is a must order! Their family owned for a long time and their service and taste still remained the same! Loved their family style portion and service!

The chicken was super tender and juicy, not dry at all.The egg tofu was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside -- so good with rice. The frog legs had a nice chew to them, firm with a bit of bounce. The farmhouse stir-fry was dangerously good with rice -- way too easy to keep eating. We ended up eating so much that the server refilled our rice twice without us even asking. Super sweet and attentive service. They also have a round table with a lazy Susan, which makes it really easy to reach all the dishes when you're dining with a group. Great food, great setup, and great service. Definitely coming back.

Foods are always on point here. One of the best Hunan cuisine. They are spicy but spicy good. service is amazing. The place looks like your aunty's kitchen. All foods are very boldly seasoned. You will not be disappointed

I went here for lunch today. I dare not comment on other Hunan cuisine restaurants because I have not tried them before. The advantage of this restaurant is that you don't have to queue up and you can eat whenever you want. The preserved egg and eggplant with peppers are delicious, the fried rice is very fragrant, the pork liver is very tender and delicious, and the dried tofu and twice-cooked pork are relatively ordinary. Overall, I am very satisfied. I also had a cup of their milk tea. The milk tea is very cheap, but not as good as the one in hacienda heights

Connected to Chapu Tea Bar. Parking in the back lot or street parking. Originally, my friend and I came for tea, but decided to just sit at the table to talk and we later got hungry, so our dinner here was unplanned. Be prepared, the menu items are all in Chinese. Pros: Excellent, authentic Hunan cuisine! The dishes are just as good as the spicy Hunan dishes I've had in China, so I was quite impressed. We ordered the "mouth watering" chicken dish, spicy garlic cucumbers, and sausage fried rice, they were all really good! Servers are bluntly straightforward, get their tasks done pretty efficiently. They take CC, not a cash-only place. Cons: Servers are not engaging or friendly probably because the place gets so busy and they have to seriously multi-task (but they will attend to your needs). Damn, the Pelegríno here is $6, what a ridiculous mark-up if you opt for sparkling water! There's a complimentary water canteen that is self-serve. Servers won't bring you water. There's no private bathroom inside, you will need the code to access the one out in the hallway. Come for the food and easy parking!

The menu is not in English, so good luck if you don't read or speak Mandarin. This cuisine was very ethnic, so not something I can appreciate. Majority of the dishes have blood and guts, it was a visceral experience on many levels, lol. Spicy and extremely salty, looks like most dishes were cooked in the same base sauce. It was one dimensional in that sense. Can't say this was a good experience for me. I had an upset stomach for the extreme saltiness and greasiness.

To order: Can order online, in store with the cashier or there are two kiosks available. Service has always been fine. Never an issue. SIGNATURE DRINKS: Original Thai Tea 4.5/5 70% sweet is sweet enough. 30% for less sweet. Thai Green Milk Tea 4.25/5 Not bad. Thai Red Plum 4.25/5 Kinda like it even though it's acquired taste. Definitely not the kind of drink I would have everyday, but good to have once in a long while. Thai Lemon Tea 2.5-3/5 Trying really hard to like it, but it's very so-so for me. Not my cup of tea. The Butterfly Collection: Honey Lemon Butterly Tea w/ Basil Seed 4.25/5 30% sugar. Like that it's slightly tart. Flavor/taste is good. Butterfly Pea Milk Tea w/ Basil Seed 4.25/5 30% sugar. Tastes sweeter than 30% sugar. Could taste the condensed milk. OTHER DRINKS: Yuzu Rose Tea 4.5/5 Bf likes this drink. I have couple sips and thought it was good (would order again). Thai Green Tea Latte 4.25/5 Their Thai Green Tea is pretty good. Probably won't be getting the latte version in the future cuz it comes with Pandan Boba and I'm kinda alright/so-so with it. A few of the male staff members have been respectful, but every time I walk in, the atmosphere feels awkward--more like a group of young friends hanging out than employees focused on customer service. My main concern is from my visit on July 10 at 9:42 PM (Order #294). According to my receipt, the employee helping me was Jenny C. When I walked in, I wasn't greeted. I spent a minute looking at the menu while Jenny C stood there texting and eating French fries. When I was ready to order, she told me to use the kiosk. I asked, "I can't order with you?" She reluctantly took my order, but continued eating while I was speaking. I ordered two drinks, read everything slowly, and still had to repeat myself. After taking my order, she simply walked away, and I had to grab my own receipt. While waiting, I overheard another employee tell Jenny C to go make my drinks. When she finally did, one of the cups had osmanthus rice mochi smeared on the outside, which should have been cleaned before being handed to a customer. Management should review this transaction using the date, time, and order number above. This wasn't professional and reflected someone who clearly didn't want to be there. Whether it's a training or management issue, something needs to improve. I was actually planning to meet a friend here next week, but after this experience, I'll be taking my business elsewhere. I hope this feedback is taken seriously because while the tea is pretty good, customer service is what keeps people coming back.

The earthy matcha paired really well with the light sweetness of the coconut water, making it a great drink for a warm day. For toppings, I added the mango jelly stars and basil seeds. The mango jelly was fun because they are actually shaped like little stars, which made the drink extra cute. The jelly added a nice fruity flavor, while the basil seeds gave it a unique texture. If you're looking for something different from the usual milk tea, I definitely recommend giving this seasonal drink a try. Refreshing, not overly sweet, and perfect for matcha lovers.

There are 2 self-order kiosks at the entrance, so ordering is quick and convenient. They have quite an extensive menu, including fruit teas, milk teas, cheese foam teas, matcha, yakult, blended drinks, coffee, sparkling drinks, fried snacks, and more. In addition, there are plenty of toppings to choose from. I usually get Hawaiian fruit green tea, roasted oolong milk tea, and crispy cheese balls. The sweetness and ice levels are customizable, which are always nice to have. Considering this is a boba shop chain, the quality of drinks here is solid. From my experience, service here is really fast, regardless of what time I am visiting. When my partner and I each order a drink, it feels as if our drinks are ready within the next minute. Since this shop is located in a very busy plaza, parking can be difficult to find during peak hours.

When picking up the marble drip coffee was over 50% full of ice! I also questioned the girl who said she made it why that one drink had significantly more ice than all of the other drinks. She said that was less ice and she made it correct, and wouldn't remake the drink to how all the others were made correctly. I was there in the evening when the store was empty. I was also given the incorrect bottled coffee, which I told them before I left so they exchanged it.
