Tried the K Rose Pasta and Galbi Rice. The flavors were okay. The Galbi was overcooked and although the flavor was not bad, it could've been better. I liked the sauce they used for the Rose Pasta, it was like a peanut buttery flavor. But, the shrimp was overcooked, and (again) the Bugolgi, while was not bad, could had been better. The portion sizes were small but enough to feed you so you didn't leave hungry or too fulll. The inside decor is a little cute, a little tacky, and really reminded me of something you would see in Asia. The service was very good. The servers were all very nice! P.S. I did not receive an incentive for writing this review :)

Tried to do a phone order but I don't think they answer their phones. Walked in to order and it was pretty fast. I ordered the Rosé pasta and was pleasantly Surprised! I enjoyed it very much. It was cooked to perfection. There was a great amount of protein, & the bulgulgi was very tender and seasoned very well. You get three shrimps and they're also very large & well cooked. Overall very impressed with the dish I ordered. Inside was very nicely lit, with plenty of seating.

We came for lunch and the vibe when you walk in was super cute and they decorated for Halloween. They have a dj set in the front playing good music. The food was amazing!! We will be coming again and the service was quick and fast and everyone was so helpful and nice.

The ambience caught my eye and I decided to eat in rather than takeout. I got the seafood soup and it was amazing. Level 4 spice but could've gone up 1 maybe 2 more higher levels. Don't sleep on this lunch spot.

First time here for lunch to celebrate my sisters birthday! We had Bulgogi K-Rose Pasta, Cheese Lava Chicken and K-Rose Tteokbokki. The dishes were flavorful with good portions. Great customer service and love the ambience as it's not too loud with nice music in background. Will definitely be coming back to lunch to try other dishes.

What a good find for us on a Sunday afternoon. ZLunch offers KTown vibe with a lot of Korean theme... The DJ set up right in the middle of the dining room is a different set up, although we didn't experience that part at this time. The interior decor was very KPOP like & very clean. We tried the Beef Noodle soup & The Beef Rice Cake dish. Both were very tasty however I have to bring up the lack or No (Bonchon= Side dishes) in a Korean set up is questionable. Service was excellent but we were also the only people there at the time. Maybe they will read this review & add Bonchon in the very near future. Bon appetite

I love trying new restaurants and decided to take my daughter here for our lunch date. It's a cute place with booths and tables. It's just a little cold for me. Probably bc I'm sitting under the AC in January weather but if you get cold easily then bring a sweater. It is worth a visit bc the food is amazing. We were not disappointed with our orders at all. The price and amount of food you get is a 10!! Will definitely come back to try the other menu options!

We got the seafood combo soup in level 2, the bulgogi k-rose pasta, and the creamy onion chicken. The soup was tangy and spicy enough for us (we're weak with spice ). The bulgogi pasta was flavorful and I liked that it's surf and turf (bulgogi and shrimp). The creamy onion chicken was good and crispy and the creamy sauce was great. Ambiance is a bit club-like. No TVs (if that's your vibe). We didn't order drinks so not sure about their drink selection. Staff were attentive and very nice. We will come back to try other menu options and recommend to try them out.

Went during lunch for a lunchdate. cool vibes. The decor definitely brings the party vibes. Rib Plate was delicious but don't mistaken the macaroni salad for mac n cheese . Rose Pasta DELICOUS! If you're in Elk Grove and want some yummy lunch, come here!

Seafood noodles, Bulgogi K-rose pasta, tteokbokki original, Singapore seafood fried rice, beef skewer rice
    Ngoc T.

The skewers rice is a must try. It's flavorful and the beef is so tender. Bulgogi cream pasta is also great, I like their sauce. However, the spicy noodle can have some improvements. Noodles is kind of soggy, and broth doesn't have enough kimchi flavors. Also, there are some clams shells in the fried rice. Will need to be careful when eating it. Overall, everything is good, but there are rooms for improvement.

The staff is friendly and welcoming. I was seated pretty quick since there wasn't a lot of people. My food came out pretty quick. The kimchi fried rice is pretty good. Next time I would other things. The decor was pretty cool and it's pretty open. It pretty clean.

I love my tart, vinegar, lemon, capers, and pickled stuff....hubby....eh..not so much. So I ordered German Meatballs and my lovely pretzel with beer cheese. The meatballs are meaty, potatoes are the real deal, mashed and with gravy poured on top! Hubby ordered the beef brisket with spatzle. The brisket was tender and the spatzle was quite mac n cheesy, using gouda as the cheese of choice. So I am loving my lovely pretzel and mustard, loving his brisket and spatzle, and loving my german meatballs. Good heavens this place was made for me! Hubby on the other hand is not a fan of tart or cheesy. So he is less than satisfied. In order to rectify this problem I order the Haus Plate with the sweinschnitzel and mashed potatoes and gravy. It comes with sauerkraut, rotkohl, and seasonal veggies (sauerkraut and rotkohl on the side). The beer of choice is hefeweizen, it goes well with the tang of the dijon mustard. Hubby wasn't a fan of the orange notes. Hubby did appreciate the sweinschnitzel and seasonal veggies though. Hooray! I love coming here and will continue my patronage!! Also a fun little trivia night took place at the end of our meal. We participated and got quite a few answers right. Cool beans!

What we noticed was it took a while for somebody to see us and there was nobody at the tables and only about six people at the bar on a Friday night at about 6 PM. In no way am I doing this review to be mean. If you're running a restaurant and on Friday night, you're not packed that's a serious red flag because all your effort should be going towards filling those stables during the week because Friday and Saturday are a given. So we can already established that that's a serious issue. Second thing that we noticed is that it was overstaffed, and a majority of the staff was just hanging out towards the back room, talking and everything and then back over by the bar away from the customers they were talking for most of the time because there's too many staff there. We ordered a pretzel. Pretzel was awesome. Very well prepared. The beer cheese was mediocre. Need to rethink on how to display and prepare the sauces or mustard for those pretzels. That's the weakness there because serving them in two cold stainless steel cups just isn't doing it plus the sauces didn't match the level of the pretzel. We then ordered a beet salad. First big issue. It wasn't really a beet salad. It was regular salad taken from a bag. You could tell by looking at all the cut ends they were all browned over. It's really not that difficult to order in salad and cut it right before you serve it. But the salad hardly had any beets at all. Next was schnitzel. That was cooked very good. The meat itself was a little bit tough like it had been frozen. Other than that, it would've been superior. In a little bowl next to it with some kind of pasta with cheese bits in it. As my wife had mentioned, and I agreed it looked like it was pasta that was just destroyed into little pieces and then cheese mixed in. Doesn't look good. We could tell that the chef tried to do a good job with it, but the way it was presented was the bad part. Now let's get to the worst part of it. The red Kraut didn't taste good at all and it's like it had no seasoning at all. We didn't even eat more than a bite out of it. It wasn't worth having. The regular sauerkraut that we had on the other side of the plate had no caraway seeds no seasoning it just tasted like pickled cabbage and sour. Although that may sort of be like what it's supposed to be like it's a restaurant and I'll be honest and I'm not saying this to be mean but I could get better out of a jar. That plate should not come with sauerkraut. It should come with fries that are cut in the kitchen right before it's prepared. The other dishes that we saw on the menu were not very fantastic at all. We didn't have the burger, but I would keep that on the menu. So really needs to sit down with the menu and not just think that you need to have German food but you need to do a competitive analysis because you need to know what the restaurants are serving that are surviving like downtown. German food generally has a real issue in the United States surviving and if you don't get this menu right you're gonna wind up going out of business. I would bet you're losing thousands every month right now. I know you don't wanna see this as a review, but I'm trying to save you. The reason why I'm trying to save you is because I could tell that the chef did some things right that I don't often come across like preparing stuff the right way, like the pretzel and the schnitzel. That told me you have some talent back there. I would also put something in between the bar area and the eating area and I would also change the benches out and put some kind of tables. Yes, I'm German and I get the tables, but this is America and I'm sure you're trying to make money. You can take all of our ideas and opinions and throw them in the garbage or you can use them and succeed. This was our experience.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by a full parking lot...which is always a good sign. Upon entering what we thought was the Velvet Martini Lounge, we were greeted by an employee named Matt. Matt was very friendly and understanding when he realized that we intended on being in the Velvet Martini Lounge, not the Sheldon Inn Restaurant. He went above and beyond by introducing us to an employee who worked at the Velvet Martini Lounge and escorted us upstairs to the lounge. Upon being seated at the lounge, we were greeted by server James, who provided us with menus. Our sole purpose was to connect solely over adult beverages, so we both placed orders for drinks. My wife ordered the Big Shot Martini with blue cheese stuffed olives, and I ordered the Havana Haze (a rum-based drink). As we slowly sipped our drinks, we enjoyed our date night in the dimly lit, romantic ambience of the lounge. The background music was played at a perfect volume to where you could hear the music as equally as you could hear the individual(s) talking at your table. James did a great job of not being a "helicopter server" by periodically checking in on us. We intended on ordering a second round, but the drinks were so deliciously stiff (a sneaky stiff) that we decided it would be a wise decision to end the night. I cannot wait to make a return visit to celebrate one of our monthly anniversaries, I recommend checking out Velvet Martini Lounge!

We took a flight of stairs up and found the lounge bar and were able to get some open seats for drinks. The servers were friendly and got us waters and bread right away. We ordered the Dirty Sidecar and the French Prince. The drinks were okay, but we decided to get the espresso martini since we figured if the place is called Velvet Martini, maybe they specialize in Martinis. The espresso martini was the best cocktail out of the 3 we ordered and we were glad we got it to redeem the other drinks. There was a good amount of people here, some out celebrating birthdays, some on dates, and some tables of friends just hanging out and having food and drinks. There was also an outdoor area from the restaurant below which seemed to have a nice dinner setting. I would say the velvet martini is worth coming by if you're in the area and looking for drinks, but it is in a much more secluded area.

Service: Decent, friendly, and informative. The staff was happy to explain the different drinks and cigar options. Rare Pours: They have 100+ whiskey selections from around the world, including hard-to-find and allocated bottles like Pappy Van Winkle. DRINKS I recommend: * Espresso Martini: A classic espresso martini served in a stemmed coupe glass with a nice foamy crema top. * Yellowstone from the Smoke Box: WhistlePig 6yr, Demerara simple, orange, and Angostura bitters. * Gotham from the Smoke Box: Angel's Envy, Carpano Antica, orange, and Angostura bitters. CIGARS: The cigar room has more than 168 selections. If you like sweeter, aromatic cigars, I'd recommend these popular Drew Estate options: * Lava Toro Latte: Mild-to-medium bodied and box-pressed. It tastes like a premium coffeehouse drink, with creamy mocha, espresso, vanilla, and caramel notes. Smooth and buttery. * Deadwood Sweet Jane: Mellow-to-medium bodied with a strong hit of sugar and vanilla bean sweetness. If you're a regular, you can even request a locker to store your cigar and liquor collection. Seating & Ambience: Big, comfy sofas and a dimly lit, relaxed atmosphere. It's a nice spot to sit back, have a drink, and enjoy a cigar. One downside: The smoke smell definitely lingers throughout the lounge. They do have a specialized air-control and filtration system designed to keep the space comfortable, but you can still smell the smoke pretty much everywhere. Overall, a cool spot if you're into bourbon and cigars or just want a more laid-back lounge experience at Sky River Casino.

I got the prickly pear mint smash and it was wonderful! We asked if splitting an appetizer and one sandwich would be enough for two people and our server Carmen confirmed it would be. We ordered the Brussels sprouts appetizer and the garlic steak sandwich with onion rings. Y'all, the food was AMAZING! the Brussels sprouts were so savory and delicious! I've never had blue cheese in the mix and wow was it scrumptious!! Lots of bacon, balsamic glaze, and finished with truffle oil! A huge serving as well. Next came the steak sandwich. Hands down the best steak sandwich I've ever had. It's made with Wagyu beef, and heaps of sautéed mushrooms, caramelized onions, cheese and arugula. So garlicky, juicy and tender meat. We could not finish it even though we split it. Just unbelievably delicious! We were going to ask for the check but then our server Carmen said: "Fresh churros and ice cream?" Who says no to that? Not us. The churros arrive. 10 or so mini churros, covered in cinnamon sugar, drizzled with caramel sauce, pipping hot and a huge scoop of vanilla ice cream, and then Carmen says " they are filled with Dulce de leche!" They were just scrumptious beyond belief. Lots of friendly folks, an amazing friendly server, and fantastic food we got super quick. I can't wait to go back.
