I was aching for a facial. My skin needed some TLC and I was desperate for a facial. I searched high and low for a place that could take a last minute appointment. I left a message for Zee and within hours received a call that she could see me the following morning. I arrived and was promptly set up in the room. She explained to me her technique and evaluated my skin. She is very knowledgeable and uses great products that will work for your personal skin type. Instead of using steam and doing a bunch of extractions, she uses a Microdermabrasion machine. For my skin, she used a pumpkin mask (smelled like s Starbucks drink!). My skin felt great. I do wish she did more extractions especially since my pores were congested but the Microdermabrasion was awesome for the price. Zee is super sweet, friendly and does a fantastic job. This was my second (first "real") facial, and I have to say it was lovely. I came to Zee because after getting an IUD in january I have been plagued by deep, hard acne that makes my face hard and bumpy. Nothing has been helping remove the acne and I was getting really sick of not feeling decent in public without makeup on. A friend recommended Zee and I couldn't be happier. She did a microdermabrasion, pumpkin enzyme, paraffin wax treatment with an extraction- sorry if that is not the correct way to say it, I am a newbie- my skin already feels better and less bumpy and I can't wait to see how much better it gets after a couple more treatments! Not only that but Zee was very nice and knowledgeable as well as patient with me as she answered all of my questions. Zee is the BEST I been seeing her a little over a year. 1 time every 2 to 3 months. She does an amazing job everytime I see her. Very consistent. I see a difference immediately. My skin is smooth with lil to no more whiteheads. She has natural masks that she makes at home. Not the stuff you get at the store with all the by-products. Except this one time I got a chemical peel. It burns a little but you will see amazing results. She's very good and takes the time to explain what she's doing and why. She helped him understand what he needed to use and how to better care for his skin. Background on me - I have been getting facials for over 8 years. Have been to many different spas so I have a lot of facial experience. I am also a skin care enthusiast, guess you can say it's my hobby. I do my own skin care at home but I like to get pampered and it's hard to massage your own face, etc., so I get regular facials. I also just enrolled into Esthetician school because I have decided to turn my hobby into a career. This was my experience: I was led into her room where she told me to lie on the bed/chair. So I lied in the bed where she put a used blanket over me. After cleansing she looked at my skin and said I had nice skin. Then asked "Do you like the color of your skin "UMMM HOLY RACIST". I replied yes - WTF? I am tanned but who isn't living in California. This was my first time here and you didn't seem to care what type of skin concerns I had but only that my face is too dark? She took some cleanser and started to clean my face. She cleansed, took a face towel and wiped the cleanser off. No towel wrap on the face. Just sloppily wiped it off. She didn't steam my face. This is basic 101 in skin care. Steaming kills bacteria, loosens impurities, etc. Instead, she started extract. Most painful experience I have ever had. Probably because she didn't steam my face and open my pores and loosen the dirt! After my hole drilling session, she did the microdermabrasion. After the micro, she put some pumpkin mask on my face which burned. Next she used a scrub to massage my face. It was good until she started to massage my eye area with the scrub. OMFG are you serious? The eye area is very delicate and you cannot just simply use a basic scrub on it in repeated dragging motions. Applied lotion but NO SUNBLOCK ?!?!?! Beaming sun outside and no sunblock? I examined my face when I got home. My extractions were swollen and raw. I immediately msgd my friend who told me this was normal and it will look bad and raw like that for a couple days but will clear up and not to worry. I'm like WTF this is normal? People leave looking like this? Later that night all the areas on my face from extractions started to look infected. My friend told me to wait a couple days. The next day it got worse. The day after the raw healed but turned into comadome cystic zits. That's when I knew my face had been infected with bacteria from unsanitary methods. I'm not sure if Zee washed her hands, sanitized her tools, etc. but it was pretty clear she has NO IDEA what she is doing. How can she have 15years exp? I spoke with some other ladies who see her and they said well she does cut corners but for the price she thought it was okay. Another friend said her face was red and peeling for weeks from her facial. Wish I knew this before. I am only writing this review because I feel it is necessary for everyone on yelp to hear not only the good but the bad. If I had read more bad reviews I would never have seen her and had to go through that experience, and also had to pay my regular esthetician to help my skin - who agrees my face was infected with bacteria. read more

Zee is definitely a 5 in my book. I came to Zee because my friend recommended her to me. At the time, I was having like wierd breakouts around my left jawline, which made me feel really self conscious. I didn't want to seek help because I felt embarrassed, but my friend (thank goodness) called her for me and set up an appointment . So I decided to try Zee, and oh my goodness, I go to her like every month now. I really love Zee. Her appointments are in her own home, but it's not like you are getting wierd things put on your face by someone who doesn't know what she is doing.
