Ambiance was nice! Small restaurant. Good food. Cesar salad was great. My entree was the mussel appetizer. I love mussels, but I'd probably say there was too much going on with it overall. Italian sausage, mussels, Thai chili cream broth. But overall it was all good! The signature burger was also delicious. Service was great :) attentive and helpful.

We dropped in this small but high ceiling bar/restaurant just across the street of the pier of Hermosa beach. Parking was challenging so we parked at the structure next to Chase bank. Place is small but we were able to seat 11 of us by the window where good looking people passing by in their swim suits! Sorry I forgot our servers name, she's young, pretty, kind, helpful, attentive and a fast server. Seems like they have more tables upstairs with a view, not sure. Anyway, we had their Lobster ravioli,Skirt steak surf and turf, linguini clams, seared scallops, Grilled King Ora Salmon. I had their Salmon, usually i dont finish grilled salmon coz it's always overcooked and dry BUT this one was creamy and crispy on the ouside, flavorful, portion was just enough and the veggies that came with it were recognizable. I tasted their other dishes and they were also delicious. I love this place I will be coming back and yes I would highly recommend this awesome place. Its best if you make reservations since it's a small place and next to the pier.

I came here for the first time 2 years ago with one of my closest friends from college and we've cone here every time we made our way to Hermosa. We came here on double dates, business venture talks, studying dates, and girls nights. Tonight is the last night my friend and I get to hangout here since she's moving to Colorado and Zane's made it yet again the most special night we could've asked for. We came in with other friends, fake wigs and all and the servers and team made this a beautiful farewell party. Thank you Zane's team and thank you to our server Bella!!!

If you are in the South Bay, you have to check out Zane's Restaurant in Hermosa Beach! Pro tip: make sure to snag a seat right in the window by the bar. It is hands-down the best spot in the house for dinner because you get the most stunning, unobstructed views of the sunset over the pier. Let's talk food--you absolutely need to order the poke! It is incredibly fresh, perfectly seasoned, and practically melts in your mouth. Pair it with a cocktail and you are set. But honestly, the real highlight of the night was our bartender, Chris Traven. We love him! He took such amazing care of us, made the best drinks, and his energy totally elevated the whole experience. If you go, definitely sit at the bar and say hi to Chris! Zane's Restaurant, Hermosa Beach #ZanesHermosaBeach #HermosaBeach #SouthBayFoodie #LosAngelesEats #LAFoodReview #SunsetViews #LAPoke #BartenderLove #SouthBayLA #HermosaPier

Only had shrimp scampi happy hour / social hour for $16. It doesn't come with pasta but it does have juices to dip bread in or take home to make some pasta. The bread no longer comes with the 3 dips. But it is good and free. Ambience. Outdoor seating is nice on a nice day to watch foot traffic. Indoors seemed a bit more formal. Next door is an ice cream shop with giant connect 4 that the kiddos can play with if dine outdoors. Service was friendly and good but they only had 1 server outdoors I posted multiple menus because it was different on door than on table. Table dessert had plantains foster added.

I've been coming to Zane's off and on for a few years now, and the quality of the food just keeps getting better. The atmosphere immediately transports you--like stepping into a New York-style restaurant--making it clear you're in an elevated dining environment. The manager, Christine, is an absolute gem. She sets the tone for the entire team and trains her staff to deliver impeccable service every time. Also, best espresso martini on the pier by a mile.

Everything went extremely well this evening while traveling through Hermosa Beach with my friend. We stopped in the most charming part of town and looked up reviews on this application. We were greeted with extremely nice smiles and happy people into an environment of joy and great smells. Daniela or Danielle? Was our waitress and she was sparkling with humor, intelligence, and a wonderful everything else. The most important thing here was the food and it did not disappoint in anyway I had calamari and then the black truffle pasta with shrimp and my friend had the salmon with vegetables. Both were perfectly cooked, spiced and delicious in every way. The beer selection was also important to us and it did not disappoint. Do yourself a favor and steer your Body and soul to this restaurant. You will not be disciplined.

Every dish was a winner. Great ambience. The grilled artichoke, focaccia made in-house, shrimp scampi, and cocktails were all scrumptious. Service was stellar. Plus we met a couple who sat next to us and made a second date.

    Butternut Squash Ravioli

Came here on Valentine's Day for the first time. They had a set menu that day. I ordered the filet mignon and my gf ordered the butter squash ravioli. I told the waitress I wanted medium rare, but instead it was well done. Barely any redness and blood. The texture was a bit rough and dry, but it was seasoned well with salt and pepper. I enjoyed eating the side broccoli and fried potatoes it came with. I give it a 6/10. As for the butternut squash ravioli, I'll give it 4/10. We didn't expect it to be sweet. The overall flavor was unique, but it didn't fit our preference for savory and salty food. In addition, there was like only like 6 to 7 pieces of ravioli. Price didn't fit well with the dish. For appetizers we had the calamari. The batter was okay. It wasn't crispy enough like we hope, but the orange mayo sauce had a nice touch to it. I'll give it a 6/10. Overall, the whole experience and ambiance was cool. Food looks good and taste average. Customer services was good and friendly. Would come back here again with friends.

Front- bad fish. Back-really really bad fish.

My wife and I recently visited Los Angeles to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary and a major…read morebirthday milestone, and we were fortunate enough to discover Fishing With Dynamite. We had heard wonderful things about the restaurant, and after our experience, I can honestly say it exceeded every expectation. Because of our travel schedule, our only opportunity to visit was during lunch on the same day we had to catch a flight home across the country. From the moment we made our reservation to the moment we walked out the door, everything about our experience was exceptional. The restaurant itself is beautiful, with a wonderful corner location and a warm, inviting atmosphere. The service was terrific, and the food was outstanding. The four of us ordered a variety of dishes to share, and everything was incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. Each dish felt thoughtfully prepared, and there was something special about being able to enjoy such a memorable meal together on an important day for our family. But what truly sets Fishing With Dynamite apart isn't just the food or the atmosphere -- it's the people. Every interaction we had with the staff was wonderful. From making the reservation, to our waitress who took such great care of us, to the servers who brought our food and drinks, everyone was friendly, attentive, welcoming, and genuinely seemed to care about making sure we had a great experience. And then something happened that took that feeling to an entirely different level. After we finished our meal, I accidentally left a small bag at the restaurant as we headed to the airport. I didn't realize it until we were already at LAX, sitting at the gate and preparing to board our flight home. My heart sank when I realized what had happened. The items inside -- AirPods, Beats headphones, an external battery pack, an expensive pair of sunglasses, and other things -- were replaceable, but a few of them were gifts and had sentimental value to me. Given that we were already at the airport, I had pretty much accepted that I would never see the bag again. My wife contacted Fishing With Dynamite, explained what had happened, and the staff immediately went to work trying to help. We were put back in touch with the waitress who had served us, and incredibly, she remembered us and was able to locate the bag. We offered to pay for shipping and for the inconvenience of someone having to take the package to the post office. Instead, later that day, the general manager reached out to us personally and assured us that they would be happy to ship everything back to us promptly -- and, even more incredibly, they wouldn't accept a penny from us for doing it. That gesture meant far more to me than simply getting my belongings back. In a world where customer service can sometimes feel transactional, the people at Fishing With Dynamite reminded me that there are still genuinely caring people who are willing to go out of their way to help someone simply because it's the right thing to do. We went to Fishing With Dynamite expecting a great lunch. We left with an incredible meal, wonderful memories from our anniversary trip, and an experience with a group of people that I will genuinely never forget. The food is fantastic. The restaurant is beautiful. The service is excellent. But most importantly, the people who work here truly care about their customers, and they proved it by going far beyond what anyone could reasonably expect.

From the moment we arrived, the experience was fantastic. We were greeted right away and seated within about 5 minutes--super quick and efficient! We were then immediately greeted by Celina, who was our waitress for the evening. We were seated just a table away from another large party that Celina was also taking care of, yet she handled both tables with ease and professionalism. She provided great recommendations for both appetizers and entrees, was prompt and incredibly personable, and really elevated the experience for our entire family. She made the evening fun and enjoyable. Kudos to Bluewater for hiring such amazing staff across the board! The food was fantastic, and everyone in our party was happy with their meals. I ordered the scallop dish along with a cup of clam chowder, and both were delicious. If you're a seafood lover, this is definitely a place to check out. We were catching up and talking quite a bit, so we didn't really notice the wait for the food. We started with the Maryland crab cakes and grilled octopus, and both appetizers were great. We then received our entrees, which included the halibut since they were out of the sanddabs. I ordered the halibut with scalloped potatoes and spinach. The flavors were definitely there, although the spinach could have been cooked a little more and the fish was slightly overcooked. The red chimichurri was a nice addition, but I felt like it could have had a little more flavor. My husband ordered the butter miso cod with rice and green beans. He enjoyed the dish overall, but felt that the rice was a bit undercooked and that the entree could have used a little more seasoning and depth of flavor. He also got the key lime pie dessert to go and totally enjoyed it. The drinks were great, and the bread was warm, fresh, and a nice way to start the meal. Between the view, service, drinks, appetizers, and overall atmosphere, we still had a really enjoyable evening. I just think the entrees could have been a little more polished, especially considering the quality of the rest of the experience. One thing worth mentioning is that there was a pretty pungent smell when we first arrived. It was noticeable enough to take me by surprise, although after being there for a while, I either got used to it or stopped noticing it. Overall, I'd give the experience 4 stars. There were definitely some highlights, and we enjoyed our evening, but I think the food has some room for improvement.
