Lately, I've been going to the West LA location of Zankou since it is closer to where I live. However, it was nice to revisit this location since I always stop at the Baklava Factory in the same complex. I ordered the lule kabob plate and combo plate with chicken and shish kabobs along with tabbouleh. Everything was tasty as usual. However, the wait seemed longer today even though I realize the kabobs take longer to cook. Next time, I'll remember to call in my order ahead of time. read more

The Glendale location on Colorado Blvd is the best location . most of the other locations are rundown, old-fashioned and not run as efficiently. The chicken tarna wrap is the best choice. You can't beat it for the flavor and cost. Make sure you ask for garlic sauce, it's not really a sauce more of a paste but it's essential for enjoying their food. They'll often forget to add it to your order,and it should come with your sandwich. The rotisserie chicken is amazing and you just can't beat the price for feeding a whole Family with these healthy options. Great food. I highly recommend it. Zankou is unreal. Pretty affordable and The food is always delicious. I lived off of the Family Meal at the start of pandemic, and now I'm transitioning to their new bowls. They are SO GOOD. For some reason, this location is not quite as good as the one in Hollywood. Definitely has a much longer wait time, and the food seemed a wee bit dry/left over. However, the customer service is much better at this one overall. Both plates were very yummy and the portions are pretty big here! Falafel was crispy outside & not too dry inside! Chicken Shawarma was juicy and tender. Unfortunately, the quality at Zankou's is not entirely consistent throughout the chain. This location was spacious and very clean inside. Most importantly, the chicken at this location was absolutely fantastic! It was juicy and cooked to perfection. I ordered the quarter chicken dark plate. This was a leg and thigh, along with humus, diced tomatoes and pickled turnips. It goes for $10.99, which is well worth the price. Make sure to try the garlic sauce with it. Great staff, hardworking and pleasant. I appreciate very much their accommodation of my special request for my order. (For a double-skewer Lule Kabob, I made a special request as follows: No Tomato, Green Salad on the side and Onion Salad also on the side.) Check your order in case something is left out, as would happen. They get really busy during lunchtime (the times of my visits), Food tastes delicious just like the other branches I've tried (Burbank, Van Nuys, W. LA and now here in Glendale). 5 star service! I don't always get a chance to visit Zankou. My last visit to Zankou a few days ago was the first time I've been since 2020. I was blown away by the customer service. We were greeted by a happy employee who opened and held the front door for us. Then we were greeted by another friendly worker who was passing out free samples. Then we were greeted by the person at the counter who served us with a smile. Lastly someone came to our table at the end of our meal to provide us to-go boxes for our leftover food. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly. We ordered a couple of 1/4 chicken plates, and some rice on the side. Everything was really tasty and moist. The hummus was really good too. I can see some unhappy reviews from other Yelpers. Maybe I got lucky on my last visit - or hopefully it is a sign that service is usually really good. I'm hoping for the latter. My visits to Zankou are not that frequent because I don't live in the area, but my last visit makes me want to visit again soon. read more

Bummer, use to love this place. I ordered over the phone for pickup. We ordered a chicken tarna plate and wrap. The guy told us to pick up in 15 minutes, we got there in 10.
