Absolutely no complaints, food is always flavorful and you can tell its made with love. I order the jerk burger hmmmmmmm it's topped with jerk aioli and its has mango salsa (or pineapple either way it was devine). The burger was well seasoned. I hate bland food and nothing here is that. I recommend the coconut chicken, it's served with sweet chili dipping sauce but its not the generic sweet chili that every restaurant is serving. The staff are attentive and knowledgeable. I'm going to say 5 stars for the food. Delicious, creamy grits (what do I know? I'm not from the South, but I loved them). Eggs cooked just right. Yummy turkey bacon cooked just right. BBQ Chili Jerk Chicken with Haitian rice - 5 stars for sure. Good portion and good price and delicious flavor. Plaintains a bit greasy but good. I like that they bring you a full bottle of water with a lid for the table so you can serve yourself, and this is helpful b/c the service is erratic. The waiter could not have been friendlier and more polite, so I hate to say this, but a little confused. The plaintains did not come until the very end of the meal, but they were apologetic and didn't charge for them. Great value food. Small place, and it did fill up, but I look forward to going back. We had no trouble parking in large lot across the street, but it might be tougher when it is busier. read more

Adorable, quaint hole in the wall-- tiny little place that packs a big punch! The food is delish, so far I have tried the chicken with fettacini and the jerk chicken wrap-- both great. Omg I've been hearing about this place for years. I always drive by it every time. My friends on my social media are always posting and talking about this place. So today lol I said let me check it for myself and see what the hype is about? I'm glad I did these people are so creative with their meals and sandwiches. My friend tried a Jerk Salmon burger with sweet potato french fries. I had a Cajun Chicken and Shrimp pasta. He loved his meal and I couldn't understand why my meal was so Damm good. I was looking at their menu they had a Creole Wrap, Jerk chicken Caesar salad, like food combinations that you never heard of but it's good. Oh and customer service was amazing they automatically knew that we were new here at this restaurant and ask us if this was our first time here. They made us feel so welcome. I will say though the place is a little small so seating can be limited. I definitely will be back and try other stuff on the menu. This place is more like a lunch place. read more

Is the food good? Yes. Is it worth $22 per plate? No. Is the customer service good? Not really. Get ready to spend some coins at this place. They also almost always run out of sides during dinner time, and that's the time you need to have all options available. Customer service is okay. I ordered ahead online at 7:15 and the wait was supposed to be 35 minutes. I got there in 45 minutes to give a little extra time because I know it can be busy. They call when your order is ready for pick up, regardless if it's online or over the phone (I've done both). After waiting an hour, I called them to see how much longer and the host stated my food just came out. When I go inside to get it, she tells me that for online orders they don't call and that the Toast app stated my food would be ready at 8pm. It was 8:15 when I called and that's when my food was ready. If I'm doing my math correctly, that's 15 minutes after it was supposedly going to be ready. Not pleased with the customer service and again, for $22 per plate, def not worth it to continue to be a repeat customer. read more

The food here is amazing. I've lived nearby for a few years and only recently started coming. Ever since, I make it a lunch stop once a week. The fries are perfection, thin and not at all greasy. The two wraps I keep ordering over and over are the jerk salmon and the Asian shrimp wrap. My friend gets an amazing looking salad with shrimp. The food was AMAZING! which totally made up for where they lacked elsewhere. The menu was diverse. Lots of good stuff to choose from. I went in to order and there was one counter with a server who was waiting tables and taking take out orders. She couldn't keep up. There was no place really to wait for take out orders, which appears to be their primary business. They had a special board up but it was difficult to figure out what was what. Not very organized at all. I ordered a wrap which was $10 with no sides. All the food was really fresh so I thought it was worth the price. But it took about 30 minutes from the time I walked in to order until I left with my food. No very quick for a take out place. I think if you ordered ahead of time it would avoid the in house wait. It's been a while since I've been to ZAZ , so I was really pleased to see that the quality of their food and customer service was just as good ( if not better) from when they first opened some years ago! It's small but such a cute, welcoming, neighborhood spot to grab a bite. They now serve wine too so that's another plus! Their servers are always sooooooo nice and helpful. The food is packed with flavor- Caribbean flavor with a twist. We ordered the ZAZ fish sandwiich, Bbq Salmon wrap, and Jerk chicken wrap. I should also mention that it took us a while to make a FINAL decision on what to order because EVERYTHING SOUNDED DROOLISCIOUS. Their portions are perfect too! Amazing food! I missed my friend's bday and decided to take her out there. The oxtail with rice was delicious. It was perfectly cooked and the meat fall right out of the bone. The portion was very generous but somehow I devoured it. She had the oxtail curry with rice which was very nice too. Oh and the coconut shake was the perfect balance in between a drink and dessert. I have ordered food from here and I've never been disappointed until my last two visits. The first is minor, it was already late and they were near closing time when my bf and I ordered food -- I had the jerk salmon with a side of sweet potato fries, the burger was not all that like people say it is & the fries were completely BURNT and not edible. My second disappointment which will most likely be the cause of me not ordering from here again, was this weekend. I was super excited because I haven't had food from here in a while and all I could think about was the BNF wrap which is really good. So that's what I ordered while my bf ordered the lobster Mac n cheese & the chicken and waffles. We both shared the meals. A little while into eating the chicken I find a long strand of thin hair in it, so I threw it out. I then continued eating my BNF wrap which was in a separate container... only to find a completely different hair in that too (this one was short and thick almost like facial hair). I came by ZAZ today for the first time, and wasn't too sure what to expect. It wasn't busy, particularly considering it was lunchtime. I ordered a fish sandwich to-go, and was told it'd take 20-25 minutes, which seemed long, but no matter. I took a walk around the block and came back about 20 minutes after placing my order... where I proceeded to wait another 15+ minutes for my order to come out. 35 minutes to make a sandwich, you just can't do that for lunch. There's a sign inside that says "this isn't fast food, it's fresh food". Well they're not kidding about the first part. You don't know what 35 minutes is until you wait that long for someone to make a sandwich. Anyway I finally got home, and it turns out they're right about the second part of that statement as well; the sandwich and homemade fries were very good. In fact, remarkably good. Believe the negative comments others have posted. We've been coming here since it opened a few years ago and I'm sad to say that the food has really fallen off and the menu has become stagnant. The chef used to have all these original dishes and was always switching up the menu with new and interesting menu items. As the years have gone by he hasn't updated the menu and has hired some really questionable staff. This visit might be my last. The waitress, although very pretty, lacked any gray matter underneath her gorgeous head of curly hair. She wasn't rude or friendly..she was apathetic...and the service was pathetic (see what I did there? Lol) When she asks is if we are ready to order she tells us to wait and that she'll be back. ???? Why ask us if you're ready if you aren't ready? Then she just stared at us waiting for us to break the silence with our order. I was pretty livid but my husband, being the adorable man he is, unsurprisingly kept giving her the benefit of the doubt *eyes rolling* Unfortunatly, she's not the first one like that we've dealt with. Others have gotten orders wrong or forgot to even enter the order. Not good when the food takes forever to make. The food has was also a dissappointment. My husband and I have ordered the same dishes every time we go (Thai basil fried rice and chicken and shrimp fettuccini) and last night we commented on how they are just not as good as they used to be. My advice to the owner is, 1: retrain your staff or hire new ones. Customer service is so important and 2: don't get comfortable. Go back to the old days when the taste of the food mattered more than the presentation. read more

Came into your place and sat down for dinner. The waitress took our order and some 40 minutes later another waitress asked us what we were waiting for. It seemed obvious to me that since we had sat at a table and removed our coats that we were eat in customers. This second waitress told us that our food had been sitting in an area for take out. She then told our initial waitress whom I observed pick up three take out boxes go into the back area and subsequently return with an appetizer and two entrees that were ice cold. When I knowingly asked her if those were items that had been in the take our area she lied and said no. Needless to say I was disappointed and unimpressed with your establishment. And just to note, my gentleman friend did pay the tab and tip the waitress 20 % much to my chagrin. read more
